Rudy's eyes fluttered open and he saw Chrissy sleeping next to him yet so far away. Rudy smiled slightly and got up. He grabbed a few things from the kitchen and moved into the piano room. Rudy sprawled a red blanket down on the dusty floor and started placing pillows. Once he finally decided everything was perfect and done, he quietly tiptoed to Chrissy's sleeping bag.

"Chrissy," Rudy whispered quietly as he gently shook her unconscious body. Her eyes fluttered open and the first thing she saw was Rudy's pretty face. "I have a surprise."

The corner of Chrissy's lips tugged upwards as she sat up. Rudy wrapped a bandana around her eyes and helped her up since she couldn't see a thing.

As he guided her to the dusty piano room, her hands held onto Rudy's tightly. "And...." Rudy removed the blind fold from her eyes. "Ta-da!"

The blanket laid with the pillows laid down on it, candles lit all around the room and a basket with some food Rudy prepared waited on the edge of the blanket.

Chrissy looked at Rudy and he nodded, his smile practically reaching his eyes. Chrissy giggled and the two sat down on the blanket. "I can't believe you did all this." Chrissy exhaled.

Rudy only chuckled in response and handed her a PB&J. She took it and started eating it slowly along with Rudy who ate his own.

"You know...I always found you better without makeup," Rudy blurted out suddenly after a moment of silence.

Chrissy felt her cheeks warm up and her eyes stared at her sandwich.

"I don't know why you wear it. You don't need it" Rudy looked over to the flustered girl with a look in his brown eyes that Chrissy had never seen before. It was a look full of craving and love. Chrissy tried to take her gaze away from his eyes but it was as if it was impossible; she was drawn to the boy in a way she never has to anyone before.

"I've liked you for so long, ever since we were little kids. It hurt so bad watching you through boyfriends. I know you probably don't feel the same way...but I just had to get it out. I love you, Chrissy. So much.." Rudy trailed off.

A wave of shock passed through Chrissy, but then relief hit right after. She dropped her sandwich on the blanket and pulled him to her by his shirt. She connected their lips and they moved slowly in sync.

Rudy's eyes widened in shock but he regained himself and wrapped his arms around Chrissy's waist. Their kiss was so innocent, but all of the raging feelings they felt for each other finally fell and they both felt relieved to finally know that they felt the same way about each other.

"I love you too."
