"Jasper?" Nova's soft voice called out as everyone slept in their sleeping bags. Jasper's head raised to look at the brunette girl curled up next to him, his tight black curls sticking out in every direction.

"We already lost so many, do you think more will die?"

Jasper snaked his arm around Nova's waist and puller her into his chest. Nova's head buried in his chest, stealing all the body heat off of him. Jasper rubbed soothing circles on her back as he leaned down to where his mouth was right next to her ear. Nova could feel his hot breath on her skin and it made butterflies flutter in her stomach.

"No. I don't think so, we have nothing to worry about. Don't worry, I promise to protect you, nothing bad will happen to you," Jasper reassured the frighted girl in his arms. He planted a small kiss at the top of her head and cuddled her closer if that was even possible.

Nova sighed in content, Jasper's words lowering her worries and increasing her blush that spread across her cheeks. She shut her eyes even though she knew she wouldn't be able to fall asleep.

Jasper kept stroking circles on her back and never loosened his grip on her.

"Nova?" Jasper whispered after a long moment of silence. His hand stopped and watched her as Nova's head tilted up to look at Jasper. He stared into her heavy blue eyes and slowly leaned in.

Nova stared back into Jaspers brown eyes but kept flicking down at his pink lips that looked so kissable. Before they know it, their lips had collided and were moving in sync with each other. Jasper put his hand on the back of Nova's head and pulled her closer.

Their kiss was soft and full of love and longing that both had felt for too long. Jasper found it hard to control himself, after so long this was all he wanted. Now that he had started, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to stop.

Nova wrapped her arms around his neck and Jaspers free hand roamed her body. It slid down her body, over her curved waist and stopped at her hip only to be travelled back up.

Their soft kiss immediately went to one of hunger and passion. Nova kissed deep and Jasper held in his smirk as his bit on her bottom lip.

Nova slightly parted her lips and Jasper slid his tongue in her mouth. His tongue explored the new area as Nova tangled her hands in his soft curls, tugging at them delicately.

Jasper groaned and slid his tongue out. Nova and Jasper broke the kiss and stared at each other, both breathing heavily. A small smile tugged at the corner of Nova's swollen lips as Jasper quietly chuckled. He planted on more gentle kiss on her lips. Then he kissed both cheeks, her chin, the tip of her nose and her forehead.

Nova let out a tiny giggle and Jasper felt the inside of him light up at the sound. Nova rested her forehead on his chest and the two fell asleep with the warm comforter of each other. Nova never felt as safe in her life as she did in Jasper's arms.
