You scanned through the entire room again. The boredom was killing you. Riko was asleep too. You just wished Aomine was with you.

The door creaked open making you sit up. You wondered who'd visit you. It was cleaning hours at this time.

A few seconds, Aomine's head peeked out making you smile wide.

"Dai-chan!" You half-yelled in surprise careful not to wake Riko up. He let himself in, walking towards you.

"So you finally decided to come and visit, Huh?" You joked.

Aomine rolled his eyes and placed a bowl on the table beside you. A bowl with food in it,

"Here. Soup. I made them with Marusakibara's help." He blushed faintly.

"Aww, thank you~!" You cheered and tasted the soup, "It tastes delicious!"

"Someone taught me how to make one when I was young." He shrugged.

Then he continued, "I also brought these." Aomine showed 3 books.

You grabbed one book and admired the cover on it. One was your favorite and the other two were new.

You teared up again, "Thank you.." You coughed.

"Oh sheesh there you are again. Don't cry." He hushed you. The beast knew you very well, you were overly sensitive at times especially when it comes to the things you love.

"C'mon. I'll read it for you." He scooted beside you which you also moved over.

You gave him an unsure look, "Are you sure?"

"Hm. You taught me well."

"Aww, thanks!"

"You can rest now."

"Thank you Dai-chan. For your kindness."

"No problem pancake."

Aomine watched you playing with the animals outside. It became a habit for him to do so. Seeing you happy made him feel all fuzzy and warm inside, again.

You soon saw him above watching you and the animals play together. You bounced up and down waving at him.

'She looks like a little bouncing munchkin.' He thought to himself. Or in other words, you looked cute bouncing like a child.

"Dai-Chan. Come and join us." You smiled cheerfully.

He flinched at the sudden request and thought of it for a while.

Should he join you? 'Don't distance yourself away from her.' Momoi's words replayed in his mind.

Aomine grumbled and was about to jump off the balcony, not until you scolded him not to for he'll scare the birds away.

That was when he growled angrily and scrambled downstairs then met you at the garden personally now.

He stuck in in his breath and walked towards you. When he got close, you sprinkled an enough amount of bird seeds at his palm.

"I want you to join me in feeding the birds."

"Whatever." He mumbled.

He looked down and stared at the birds who were pecking at the ground filled with snow then turned to stare at you with an unsure look. You giggled and gestured him to continue.

When he was at close proximity with the birds, he squatted down and shoved the seeds at their faces making you giggle again. Because of this, they flew back away from him.

Aomine swore under his breath and gave a death glare at the birds.

"Dai-chan. Look." You giggled pointing at his palm.

Aomine rose a brow at you confused, then looked down to his palm and saw a bird resting on his paws and pecked on the seeds.

"Seems like it's the only one not afraid of you." You half-joked and rubbed the bird's head with your fingers.

Little by little, birds soon started to flock around Aomine's huge palm and some rested on his shoulders.

Aomine angrily scoffed, "Oh so now they want to come."

You giggled once more. He looked like a bird post to you... an angry bird post.

It was nice spending time with him. Like the time he got wounded, when the both of you would read together, eat together, on your sick days-

"Oi, why are you smiling like an idiot?" He cut you off from your thoughts.

You hadn't realized you smiled blankly at him. Yeah, you must've really look like an idiot.

"Oh sorry, I was just lost in thought."

He shrugged it off and still remained in his position. The other thing you haven't realized is how there were much birds gathering around him.

Now he really did look like a bird post to you.

Not until you saw a bird falling down from the tree. You immediately caught it just in time.

Since Aomine's other paw was free you pushed yourself up using his paw.

Aomine felt a huge surge in his body. It were weeks ever since you touched his paw. Did he really missed the feeling that much? Maybe he did. The nice feeling that he was sure that you weren't afraid of him.

You looked above a tree to see a nest with two baby birds. Although, another chirp was heard on the ground, it was the third baby bird.

"Oh no! The baby bird." You pouted your lips and crouched down picking up the bird with both of your hands like a small child.

"Dai-chan look! The poor baby bird is separated from it's siblings.." You stared at the chirping baby bird sadly.

"Baby bird?" He questioned by the callname. He quite did admit, even the callnames you gave to animals were cute.

You nodded as you frantically tried to reach it's nest. But you were way too small for you to reach.

He thought of you as a desperate and hopeless cute little child. Or in other words, an adorable sweet and small human who owns a soft heart.

Aomine chuckled and got along with it just because you looked too adorable for his heart to take. He grabbed your hips and legs then pulled you up making you sit on his broad shoulders shooked.

You smiled sincerely at him and placed back the baby bird on it's nest along with it's siblings whih made Aomine put you down.

"Thank you! We helped the baby bird return to it's family now!" You smiled sweetly at him looking back to the nest.

"It wasn't a problem Y/N...— now they all have each other." He said remaining his stern look.

"Yep! Just like how we have each other to rely on." You tenderly smiled at him.

He just gulped down the huge lump on his throat as he ran his fingers through his hair nodding.

You let the bird go up into the sky again raising your finger.

You looked back at Aomine. His face softened. You lightly smiled at him. Seems like he was caught off guard by you a little.

"Dai-Chan!" You ran downstairs with two outfits. He stopped in his idrection and turned around as soon as he heard you call his name.

"Hm?" He hummed.

"I just needed your opinion is all." You held out the dresses. "See, I was looking for a dress and I happened to tumbled between these two. They're both beautiful! I just couldn't pick one for today."

The first dress was a sky blue off shoulder and had a white lace ribbon in the hip corner serving as a belt. It has frills and it reached exactly at your knees.

The second dress was a long-sleeved scarlet dress. It was simple. But it wasn't that plain though considering that there were occasional ribbons around it's corners.

"Why can't you let Riko decide?"

"She says both looked lovely. But since you're brutally honest. I wanted you to decide." You answered honestly.

"Yeah, pancake, you're on-" Aomine paused. Satsuki's voice replayed once again inside his head. Looks like it kinda haunted him now.

You gave him a concerned look. It was strange that he just stopped all of a sudden.

He deeply sighed. What was he thinking?

"That one." Aomine replied pointing on the chosen dress. "I guess it's look great on you."

Your eyes softened. "Thank you."
