Your H/C-colored hair flowed through the wind while your E/C-colored eyes focused on the book on your hand.

Villagers stared at you quizzically yet again. It was the usual for them to look at you strangely.

"Look there she goes!"
"That girl is strange, dazed and distracted. Isn't she always?"
"What a puzzle to the rest of us.."
"No question that is."

It wasn't like they hated or despised you, they simply couldn't quite get you. You were different so they thought you as someone... peculiar.

You rolled your eyes chuckling slightly at them, entering the infamous best bakery of town.

"Good morning Y/N!" Takao Kazunari greeted you. A handsome young man appeared with raven hair who owns the bakery.

"Morning monsieur. May I buy the usual please?" You handed over the coins.

"Of course! So, where are you off to?" He then gave you your order.

"The bookshop!" You replied putting your bread in the basket.

"Ah, I see. Off you go then! See you around Y/N!" He bid you goodbye.

You waved him farewell as you headed your way to the bookshop.

The shop bell rang making a head turn around.

"Morning Chihiro! I've come to return the book I borrowed." You smiled handing over a book from your basket.

Chihiro Mayuzumi, a handsome young librarian with fuzzy teal grey hair and alluring deep eyes. He was a close friend of yours since you shared the same interests as him: books.

"Finished already?" He questioned, returning the book to it's former shelf.

"Oh I just couldn't put it down! Got anything new?" You skimmed through the book shelves.

"Not since yesterday."

"Well then, I'll just borrow this one!" You picked.

"Again? But you borrowed it thrice." He smiled slightly.

"Well it's my favorite! Far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise!" You answered dreamily.

"Then if you like it so much, it's yours." He handed the book to you.

"What? But Chihiro!"

"I insist."

"Well thank you! Thank you very much!" You thanked as you left the shop.

"Hello Belle!" A familiar voice called you.

His name is Kosuke Wakamatsu, a bulky and tall man who was the men's inspiration and women's heart throb . Beside him is Tomoki Tsugawa, a thin semi-bald man who's follow around Wakamatsu like his tail. (A/N: I still love Wakamatsu tho he's a boyfie material❤️)

"Good day, Wakamatsu, Tsugawa."

Even though the man annoyed you by following and blabbering to you regularly, you were raised as an understanding and kind girl who is able to stand the occasional and same rants from him

"If certainly is a good to start to the day seeing a gorgeous and fine lady like you~" He flirted.

You grimaced, "Why thank you Wakamatsu, but I must go back home."

"HAHA! Hear that Wakamatsu? She's going back to her odd brother!" Tsugawa joked making the bulky man laugh as well.

"Hey! Don't talk about my brother like that."

"Yeah! Don't talk about her brother like that!" He changed his look and clonked Tsugawa's head.

Changing the topic, Wakamatsu suddenly stole your book.

You sighed, "Wakamatsu, May I have my book please?"

"Y/N, how can you read these? There are no pictures!" He ignored you.

"Well, you can use imagination?" You answered sarcastically.

"Y/N, it's about time you got your head out of those books and pay attention to more important things...like me! The whole town's talking about it. It's not right for a woman to read--soon she starts getting ideas... and thinking."

"Wakamatsu, you are positively primeval."

"Why thank you!" He answered not knowing the meaning of it.

"Why don't we walk around while I talk about my trophies and awards? Better yet, I'd show you them!" He proudly continued.

"Maybe some other time." You replied not amazed by his accomplishments.

"What's wrong with her?"
"She's crazy!"
"He's gorgeous." Says the lovestruck fangirls.

You continued sighing, "Now, would you please let me peacefully continue my walk back to my house?"

"Want me to accompany you?"

"No thank you." You hurriedly sprinted away from them while waving a farewell.

Tsugawa sighed, "Do you think you could marry her?"

"Don't you believe in me?" The man glared.

"N-no! It's not that Wakamatsu.. It's just that, there's plenty of other beautiful women who'd want to be with you!"

"I prefer Y/N because she's not beautiful, but gorgeous! Her beauty has no par. So I'd do anything to marry Y/N Kuroko, the woman of my dreams!"

(A/N: Originally, Gaston was supposed to be Kagami. But then I remembered how Wakamatsu quarrels w/ Aomine and stuff.)

A smoke erupted from your house's basement making you run over, worried.

You opened the basement's door while coughing over the smoke.

"Tetsuya?" You called out your brother's name placing down your basket.

"Oh, Y/N.. The contraption still doesn't work.." Your brother frowned. His name is Kuroko Tetsuya. Your older brother who has sky blue hair and eyes.

Seeing Tetsuya sad, you quickly made your way towards him and gave your brother a reassuring hug.

"Don't worry Tetsu-kun! I'm sure your contraption would work in no time! Plus, I'm here giving you moral support." You let go from the hug and cheered.

"But it's due ti'll tomorrow.."

You grasped his hands and looked at him in the eye, "Brother, this is our only ticket to be free from this small province. So do your best! And I'm confident that you'll win the fair."

"I hope so too." Tetsuya finally smiled.

He then continued to work with the contraption while you stayed and helped him handing out the tools.

"Hey Tetsu.."

"Hm?"

"Am I odd to you?"

"Odd? My sister? Who'd think that?"

"I don't know.. some villagers kind of do. I just don't think I fit in here."

"Don't fuss about that too much Y/N. Because this invention will be the start of our new life." Kuruko slid out from the machine and stood up. He then turned the machine on.

The invention whirs and chops wood just as it should making you squeal in joy.

"It works!" You exclaimed.

"It does?.. It does!" Kuruko inwardly jumped smiling.

"You did it Tetsu!"

You then prepared Kuruko's food, water and other traveling materials while Kuruko prepared his invention.

Afterwards, you hitched your horse and the carriage as well.

Your brother then mounted the horse.

"So Y/N, what do you want until I go back?"

"Hm.. a rose I suppose?" You smiled brightly.

"A rose then it is." He smiled back.

"Good luck brother, take care." You kissed his cheek.

"Good bye sister, you take care too!"
