Turning back to Michelle, I told her since it was lunchtime. "Okay let's go. Oh and you owe me a sandwich from Delmars and a book from the bookstore. Since you let Peter and Ned know who I was." She rolled her eyes but nodded with a smile. "Bookstore after school today? Before we get ready for Liz's party?" I asked her. "Yeah. Sounds good, but I'm not going to wait an hour for you to come out of school so you better hurry up."

Lunch

Y/n's POV

After I got my lunch, I sat at the end of the cafeteria table in front of Mj. I was happy but still worried although I tried not to show it. Mj was pretty good on telling if I was worried, scared, concerned and such since we've been friends for a lot longer than Peter and Ned have been. I met them a couple of months after Mj.

I glanced over to where Peter and Ned sat and saw Peter looking at someone. Well of course.. it'll be Liz. I rolled my eyes and continued to eat my food in peace. It wasn't much since they only gave out a little serving of pasta. I was about to take out my journal when Jeanie walked over and sat next to me along with Bri next to Michelle. I had almost forgotten that they were on vacation and had returned not long ago. Bri actually got back the same day when I saved everyone at the assembly. She must've told Jeanie that wasn't there because of what was about to follow.

"So... a little birdy told me that Shadow made an appearance at the assembly the other day." Jeanie said

"Yeah I saw the whole thing" Bri mentioned

"Yeah I'm pretty sure everyone did Bri." Michelle stated wanting them to just leave already

"Well.. little do I know.." she started off and gave an evil like chuckle "is that when Shadow showed up.. you were gone Y/n." Jeanie said

I looked at Michelle then back at Jeanie. "That's because I had to use the restrooms. I wasn't feeling so good. My head was hurting"

"Hm... well I guess.. but that still doesn't explain this." She continued and pulled up a video. The video showed myself texting Michelle then leaving. Then after a minute or two, the armed men popping up and Shadow running out before the rest of the students could get hit.

I was shocked but I tried to rub it off. "If you're making an assumption that Shadow is me then you're wrong. I was in the bathroom the whole time." I stated and Michelle nodded.

"Two can play at that game." She said in an low angry tone and grabbed my wrist. "Hallway, 2 minutes or..." she smiled "I'll tell Peter you like him."

"You wouldn't."

"You think I won't?" She made a pretend shocked face before turning to Peter "oh Peterrr.." she began then I stopped her.

"Okay fine. Hallway, 2 minutes." I repeated and she turned back to me smiling.

"I knew you'll pull through." Jeanie stood up and left the table with Bri. Meanwhile Peter and Ned looked over at us with a confused look.

Michelle shrugged it off and told him not to worry about it.

"Gotta go." I told Mj before taking my things and leaving the cafe.

Bri wasn't in the hallway with Jeanie. She was just there by herself.

"I was starting to think you wouldn't come." She said

I rolled my eyes at her already annoyed but she slapped my face really hard making it red. "What the hell!"

"I know you're Shadow. It wasn't that hard to find you and make you... tick or act on it should I say."

I was at a lost for words. I didn't know what to say or do and she just kept talking.

"We're always watching."

"Wait.. so you were behind the attack during the assembly?" I asked

"Bingo! I wanted to really see if you were actually her."

"That's a really big and stupid assumption you did in order to do that." I stated

Another hard slap. "NOT! Hydra has eyes everywhere and ohh.. wouldn't your uncle like to hear what his 'precious' niece has been up to." She said and I had wide eyes.

"You wouldn't.."

"Stay away from Spider-Man. Stay away from the Avengers. If anyone finds out about this little meeting of ours... hmm.." she chuckled "oh let's just say... it wouldn't be pretty hun." She whispered the last part into my ear before heading back into the cafe.

I stood there in shock. 'This whole time... Jeanie has been working for HYDRA?!' I thought to myself.

There was only a few minutes left of Lunch so I decided to walk back in quietly. My face concerned and filled with worry. As I was going to turn the table where Peter sat so I could sit at my original seat, he grabbed my arm making me jump a little.

He must've realized "Are you okay? The side of your face looks red like if someone hit it and you literally jumped about 2 inches off the ground when I tried getting your attention."

"Y-Yeah.. I'm fine.. everything's fine. Don't worry about it." I told him a bit hesitant. I didn't want him to worry but I guess that was too late. He let go of my arm and let me sit back on my seat.

Michelle looked over at me and asked "Are you alright? I saw you head out with Jeanie."

"Yeah yeah.. everything's cool." I told her with a fake smile but I knew she would catch on sooner than later.

I looked at the time then at the table in a blank state. I was deep in thought before the bell rang and pulled me out of that state. I grabbed my bag and bolted out. Peter, Mj and Ned shared worried looks as if they automatically knew something was wrong ever since the little chat with Jeanie in the hallway.

In all honesty, I didn't know what to do. I felt like everything was slowly closing in on me and as if I was going to burst out at any moment. 'We're just having a free period for gym next class so maybe I can just try to clear my mind.' I thought. 'Maybe...'
