06 | Finn and the fucking bastard.

"So? What you'll take Beer or-" I asked, extending my hand to pick up a Beer bottle, knowing she'll choose Beer. They all do.

"I'll have Vodka," The girl with dark crimson hair said, giving me a small smile as I raised my eyebrows at her.

Fierce, I like that.

"Ooh, someone's planning on getting drunk tonight," I smirked, carefully pouring the liquor for both of us before handing one to her.

"You can say so..." she murmured in a low voice, before taking a huge gulp and finishing the drink in one go.

"Woah, take it easy there." I chuckled and she shrugged, handing me the cup and gestured a refill.

"Okay, but take it slow this time," I smirked, refilling the cup. She took it from my hand and put her lips on the mouth of the cup, her light brown eyes staring seductively at me.

"So, what're your plans for tonight?" she asked, gulping the alcohol and taking a step closer to me. I took a deep breath, scrunching my nose at her strong cologne while she slowly fiddled with the top button of my shirt.

Not gonna lie, this girl is breathtaking and her daring personality is a cherry on top. But, I'm in no mood to score tonight... Tonight, I just wanna get myself super drunk and enjoy this party with all the guys. They always complain about how I'm always into chicks.

Where are they anyway?

I looked past the blonde into the dazzlingly lit woods, blasting with music full of people dancing, getting wasted, playing games, or making out. In short, having a great time.

I was amazed by the arrangement of the party, the liquor, games, lights, music, and everything was impressive and didn't seem like a party in the woods. Moreover, I was surprised by Mr. Harrison and other teachers have no problem with this, maybe they're well aware that they can't control so many wild teenagers like us alone.

My eyes scanned for a tall guy with black hair, along with some styled blonde hair in the crowd, knowing Zander he must be glued to his girlfriend. Instead, my eyes landed on someone making them go wide.

What is she doing here?

"Finn? Finn!" the girl snapped me out of my thinking, I shook my head and looked at her rolling her eyes.

"So... let's go back to the tents?" she asked, biting her red-painted lips seductively.

"Uhm..." I cleared my throat, trying my best to pay attention to her but my eyes kept darting towards the crowd, towards her.

The way she was dancing, her body, her curves swaying swiftly and rhythmically with the tune of the music, a soft smile played on her lips as she looked carefree as ever...

I never knew she was fond of parties? Hah, do I even know her at all?

"Finn, what are you looking at?" She interrupted my thinking again, this time she turned her head around to see where I was looking.

"Uh-"

"Brianna Davis? Isn't she your ex?" She gasped, turning her head back to look at me with wide eyes.

No doubt, Brianna is beautiful and everything. But she isn't who made me fall for her. It's her best friend, Summer... Just thinking about her name makes my lips curl into a huge smile. The way her dark brown eyes light up when she smiles, the way she bites her lips when she's nervous...

Finn, fucking stop looking at her.

But what I did to her... Despite everything...

She never deserved a coward like you anyway. Whatever happened, was for the best. For her at least. My subconscious taunted and I let out a deep breath.

"The fuck? I'm not gonna stand here wasting my time while you dream about your fucking ex, jerk." I heard the blonde yell at my face before she walked away.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. It is better this way Finn, you can't get caught in this mess again...

Especially not with her.

I opened my eyes and a sudden gasp left my mouth, she was standing in front of me, wearing a beautiful dark pink jumpsuit, with her long black hair curled up spreading over her shoulders.

I blinked my eyes many times, making sure it's not just my mind playing tricks with me. Her brown eyes outlined with bold eyeliner were wide and full of confusion as she stared at me with a weird look on her face.

"Excuse me?" she tilted her head furrowed her eyebrows, gesturing me to get aside with her hand.

That's when I noticed I was standing in front of the booze table, almost covering it. I cleared my throat in embarrassment as I got aside, she gave me a lip pressed smile before picking up a cup and filling it half with Diet Coke and half with vodka.

I wanted to say something but didn't, who am I to tell her to ease it and if I did, she'll probably snap at me.

"Stop staring at me." She suddenly snapped, looking sideways at me with her eyebrows raised.

"Oh-Uhm...What?" I stammered, raking my fingers in my hair as she stared at me like I'm a supernatural creature.

"You know what, forget it." she scoffed before picking her cup and leaving the table, her body swayed gracefully as I saw her merging in the stupid partying crowd.

I sighed and bit my inner cheek. I could feel my heart thumping loudly against my chest and I wanted it just to shut up and stop reacting this way every time she comes around me.

The sudden ringtone of my ringing phone interrupted my thoughts, I took it out of my pocket and the name on the screen spread a huge smile on my face.

"Hey, little champ." I greeted on the phone, walking a bit away from the music and chatterings towards the silent woods so I can talk.

"Hey... Finn," he replied, his voice sounding low and shaky and I immediately knew something was wrong.

"Dylan is he doing something-" I asked almost inaudibly, small tears forming in my eyes as I feared the words that'll come out of the speaker.

"No."

"Dy, I swear if you lie to me-"

"Everything is fine Finn. I was just missing you," he mumbled, and I let out a shaky breath, wiping the small tear that involuntarily left my eyes with the back of my hand.

I can't see my baby brother hurting like this, he's just thirteen for fuck's sake, but again... Why would he fucking care?

All he cares about is how to make our life's miserable than it already is.

That motherfucker.

"Dy... I miss you too, I'll be back soon. You're a strong boy yeah?" I said, trying to cheer him up while my voice cracked. I could hear him sniffle, holding back a sob through the phone.

"Yeah, I am... Have fun on the tri-" he said and suddenly I heard ruffling from the other side and was greeted by a deep hoarse voice "Hello, son!"

"Hi, Dad..." I mumbled, just the sound of his voice made my blood boil. By just two words I could figure out that he was fucking drunk. Like usual.

"So, my boy... having fun? Banging hot chicks, drinking-"

"Mind the language in front of Dylan dad," I said trying to keep my voice calm, clenching my fists as I could feel my breath getting hitched.

"Oh yeah, So you'll teach me the language shit now? " he laughed, his annoying voice booming through the phone, making me want to smash this screen right now. "Think before you fucking speak, kid."

"If you touched a single hair-"

"No, I won't. Come home and I'll teach you how to fucking behave to your bloody father Finn." he snapped and before I could say something he declined the call. My eyes widened in shock and horror as I immediately regretted my words.

"You fucking Asshole!" I shouted at the black screen of the phone, my eyes burning as I could feel anger rushing through my veins.

I grunted loudly and clenched my jaw tightly, staring at the small screen in my hand, trying my best not to slam the fucking phone to the tree beside me. Trying my best not to burst into flames with all the rage pumping in my blood.

You're just like me... You'll always be like me.

His fucking voice surrounded me, getting louder and louder with each word. I screamed, telling him to stop but he didn't. It just grew louder, so loud my ears couldn't bear as I covered my ears with my palms.

Calm down, Finn... You're not like him, take deep breaths... Relax... The voice of Mrs. Dunne, my therapist echoed in my ears, overlapping his.

I clenched my eyes shut, and I tried to take deep breaths, focusing solely on the movement of air in and out my nostrils. I felt a wetness in my hand, I looked down to see the cup I was drinking in crushed, with drops of vodka dripping down my hand.

I groaned and wiped my hand with my pants, I felt my breathing slowly getting back to normal with my knees getting weak, unable to hold my body weight.

I felt helpless, thinking about what Dylan is going through alone, he doesn't deserve this... He doesn't fucking deserve a father like him...

No one does.

How selfish I was to come here, thinking I'll escape him for a few days? What the hell was I thinking? I can't escape him. We can't escape him. Ever.

Uncontrollable streams of tears rolled down my cheeks as I found myself on my knees, sitting in the middle of the forest, gasping for air. My heart sinking deep in my chest as all the awful memories of him filled my head. A fresh one lingered on my arm in dark blueish purple as I pulled my sleeves up.

Suddenly the loud ringtone of my phone bloomed and my shaking hands immediately picked it up, expecting Dylan, but instead, it was Zander.

I quickly wiped the tears from my cheeks and cleared my throat trying to normalize my voice before picking up the call. "Hey, Zan."

"Where are you, dude? I'm looking for you everywhere." Zander laughed, his voice mixing up with the loud music and chattering of people in the background.

I slowly got up from the ground, almost tripping on my own feet, and cleared my throat before replying "Yeah, man. I was with this chick, I'm coming."

"Geez, stop with the chicks already. " he mocked as I took slow steps towards the crowd. "Anyways, I'm here at the beer pong table. Hurry up, the game is starting," he said and I hung up, walking straight to the pong table.

I checked my phone again for any messages from Dy, debating with myself whether I should call to check on him or not. Maybe I shouldn't, what if dad snaps for calling, again and again, I can't risk that after what I just said to him.

I immediately spotted Zander with Alex, Seth, and other guys around the beer pong table. He saw me and immediately gave a huge smile, gesturing me to hurry up.

"Are you okay, Finn?" he asked, furrowing his brows and looking at me with a bit of concern. I let out a fake chuckle and shrugged, do I look that horrible?

"Okay, my turn. Get ready to drink babies." Seth smirked confidently, picking up the ball and throwing it, the ball bounced once before landing in the cup. Seth and Alex started doing some silly victory dance and Zander groaned, picking up the small red cup filled with something translucent.

"Let me," I suggested and before he could reply, I took the cup from his hand before gulping it in one go, I felt the burning liquor in my body as I immediately felt relaxed. I could see Zander looking at me with confusion but shrugged and got back to the game.

The game went on with many cups of beers and silly victory cheering. That's when suddenly my eyes darted towards the crowd who were dancing, immediately my breathing hitched and my fingers balled into a fist.

Summer was dancing with Asher, they were standing too close, too close than required. She was smiling and giggling and seemed a bit tipsy, while he was taking every advantage of the situation by bringing her body close to his.

If he fucking touched her-

His hands slowly went down her waist before resting on her hips, as he squeezed them. And that's it, that was it.

Fucking bastard!

It barely took me seconds and before I knew I pushed him on the ground and was on top of him, I grunted as my fists collided with his fucking mouth again and again.

I could hear her shouting and other people cheering and recording but I was least concerned, I saw his cheek tearing up with drops of blood dripping from it, and my lips curled into a smirk.

Everything seems like a mess as my eyes were blurred with anger while my ears filled with cheering. He was not weak either and before I knew he got on top of me, smacking me continuously in the face, I could taste a hint of blood on my lips.

"What the fuck! Get away from him!" I heard a familiar voice as someone dragged Asher away from me. I coughed as blood spilled out from my mouth. Zander's face came in sight, I felt his arms around my shoulders as picked me up, making me walk somewhere, my legs felt weak and my head felt like spinning.

"What the fuck is wrong with you dude? Look at yourself!" Zander groaned, his loud voice hurting my head.

I stayed silent and made sense of everything, I was sitting on a huge rock, away from the party. I looked at my knuckles to see them bruised and torn up. My lips tasted like blood mixed with sand while the whole face ached.

"Did I win?"

"You fucking care about winning? Look at your face, you should think about what would've happened if I got late by a few minutes!" he groaned, putting his hand on his face.

Oh, so I lost. But he was bleeding, I guess that's enough.

It'll teach him a lesson not to mess with my girl again.

My girl?

What that fuck is wrong with me-

I shook my head to clear my thoughts and looked at Zander who was rolling his eyes, oblivious to what's going on in my head.

Suddenly my gaze landed on a figure emerging from the dark woods, by just the way she was walking I figured it was Summer... A small smile crept my face as her face came into light, showing her beautiful features. But right now, that face had a different expression, with her lips pressed tight and her eyes stern as I've seen just once before.

Uh oh...

Thank you for coming this far, here's a lil heart for you.
*smiles and hands over ❤*
