{Muzan POV}

Why can't I feel Tanjiro and I's connection!

Did he really brake my hold?

But how!

It makes no sense, no sense at all.

Fuck! He wasn't even supposed to be here b fire the battle ended! Not to mention he's killed both Douma and Kokushibo... my strongest moons.

And everyone else has been killed by the hashira!

Not a single upper moon is alive... Tanjiro, you retrieved the flower. If so where is it? Have you destroyed it all ready?

No worries... I'll take you back Tanjiro. Just you wait.

{third POV}

"Goodbye Douma" Tanjiro whispered, neatly folding his clothes on the floor before walking out of the room.

Tanjiro had come to a conclusion.

If he cannot eat humans, he'll eat demons. Not to mention it gives him more power than if he was to eat a human, well the nutrition level depends on how powerful the demon is.

It was simple really.

This way he wouldn't have to worry about his hunger when he was around his friends.

Tanjiro smiled at the solution and began following his nose to Mitsuri's sent so he could make sure she was ok. Of corse he sent Shinobu to her but he still had to make sure, if anyone died Tanjiro would blame himself.

It only took Tanjiro around five-ten minutes to find them. Shinobu was expertly treating her wounds while Genya was panicking as to what he should do when a hand was placed on his shoulder.

He jumped back and pointed his gun to the person, only for his eyes to water at the sight.

"Tanjiro! I'm so glad your ok!" He cried, engulfing him in a heartwarming hug. The boy froze a little but hugged him back, he hadn't felt the warmth of someone he loved in what felt like forever.

For some reason, the feeling brought tears to his eyes. Tanjiro buried his face into Genya's shoulder. His tears wetting the boy's shoulder as he silently sobbed.

Genya gasped and panicked a little "W-what did I do?! I'm sorry!"

His mind was put at ease when small giggles escaped Tanjiro's mouth. His smooth calming voice circulated the room as the demon hugged Genya tighter than ever "Genya... I missed you so much"

His cheeks flushed a deep red as he wasn't sure how to respond to Tanjiro's statement "I-it's ok, I'm just glad you're fine" Genya breathed out, stroking his hand through the boy's soft hair.

"Alright alright brake it up, where's my hug Tanjiro" Shinobu spoke, standing up once she had tended to the unconscious Mitsuri.

Tanjiro smiled and bounced up to the lady and hugged her as well, accompanied with a little peck on the cheek.

"Oh! Kamado! My boy!" None other than Rengoku called, entering the room align with Obanai.

Tanjiro beamed and ran over to the male, being careful not to hurt his injuries as he wrapped his arms around the male's chest.

Tanjiro looked behind him to see Obanai slightly pouting at their embrace. The boy giggled and used Douma's blood demon art to force Obanai into the gig using a spout of ice.

The pillar yelped a little but indulged in Tanjiro's presence in an instant, his restlessness put at ease even if it was just for a moment.

Suddenly Tanjiro released the two and gave them a large grin with his cheeks slightly flushed "let's end this, once and for all" he announced, earning murmurs of cheers and agreeing shouts.

Muzan crouched on a high up level, transformed into his final form while licking what blood was left on his fingers. He had just massacred almost half low rank demon slayers who tried to foolishly ambush him.

Their remains lay scattered horrifically everywhere, different body parts and limbs dripping a pool worth of blood. Muzan's now long  white hair fell around his pale face, pearly white canines sprouting from his crimson stained lips.

He growled and flexed his claws, trying relentlessly to take over Tanjiro's mind but it was no use. It was infuriating, Muzan just wanted to kill them all.

Suddenly he snapped his head towards a presence he could feel, it was a human presence and it was getting closer.

"Come to be my next meal?" He growled deeply, eyes scanning a boy with green hair. He looked nervous as expected, the boy's arms behind his back as if hiding something.

Muzan jumped onto the boy, pinning him to the floor and opening his mouth to his throat "W-wait! T-Tanjiro sent me!" He desperately yelled, eyes scrunched up in fear as Muzan just grazed his teeth against the boy's skin before pulling away.

"Did you say Tanjiro?" Kibutsuji raised his eyebrow, keeping the greenete pinned to the floor.

"Y-yes!"

Muzan narrowed his eyes and let him stand up, glaring at him as he composed himself "hurry up or I'll kill you. What did Tanjiro say?"

"I... helped him get this. He told me it was for his master so I assumed tha"

Kibutsuji's eyes snapped open as he watched the boy pull out none other than the blue spider Lilly from behind his back. The demon sharply snatched the flower from his hand and sent the boy flying into the wall, his back roughly hitting the cement as his body hung limp on the floor.

"Tanjiro... he did it! I can't believe... now we can live in the sun together, this is perfect" he mumbled to himself, eyes vibrating with excitement as he scanned the flower throughly.

Muzan didn't have any time to extract its DNA and make a solution of the flower, Tanjiro and the other hashira would be here soon he was sure if it.

So really the only option would be to eat it...

Muzan scowled and opened his mouth wide, swallowing the flower whole. At first he didn't feel a thing, however soon after it felt as if his internal organs were on fire. He roared and gritted his teeth, clutching his arms around his stomach as a horrifying amount of pain consumed him before it completely disappeared in an instant.

The demon king looked up confusedly, slowly stretching out his limbs. He had no way to tell if it worked, he just had to wait till sunrise now.

And the perfect occupation had just entered his vision.

"Tanjiro"
