{third person POV}
'It'll go away if I just stab it' Sanemi concluded, staring at the white sheet of which contained Tanjiro underneath, he simply didn't want to be seen with his different features yet. Sure it was a stupid idea but what other choice did he have?
The wind pillar cautiously narrowed his eyes and silently unsheathed his sword as the master continued to speak.
"A dramatic decline in demon's up in the north has proved quite positive for the production of arct-..."
Sanemi wasn't really listening to the master's words, he was simply too focused on getting rid of this 'hallucination' which was kneeling next to him.
Tanjiro turned his head from under the sheet when a shiny glint caught his eye; coming from Sanemi next to him. It was quite difficult to make anything out but he could tell it was something sharp.
Making up his mind, Sanemi drew back his sword and roughly stabbed it into Tanjiro's side; slicing through flesh and bone. The wind pillar cringed at the feeling of skin tearing, not expecting to feel anything since he thought it to be in his mind.
'Shit'
Tanjiro roughly grabbed his side as his slitted eyes widened in shock.
An ear horse cry ripped through his chest as his lungs were punctured, the scream was horrifying in fact. Not just a scream for help- it scratched his throat like barbed wire, cutting through his vocal cords and smashing into the atmosphere. It was utterly unnerving... and it caught the attention of everyone.
The feeling of his lungs collapsing as his heart slowed was the pure feeling of agony as Tanjiro coughed and spluttered clotted blood; dampening the now crimson coloured sheet still draped over his pale face.
As an attempt to let more air rush into his broken lungs; Tanjiro ripped the sheet of and threw himself to the floor, gaping for breath as everyone stared bewildered and horrified.
Sanemi dropped his sword to the floor in shock, watching as a deep pool of red formed underneath the boy.
Obanai tried desperately to explain to everyone what had happened to him that night while Muchiro attended to the gasping boy.
The mist pillar shakily bent down the the pool of blood; it started to seep through his clothes as he uselessly hoisted Tanjiro's upper body up and rest on his knees.
His cries of pain had diminished to mere ragged and uneven breaths as his face became deathly white in colour. Muchiro's eyes began to prick with tears. What if Tanjiro didn't have regeneration like other demons... he thought.
Sanemi stepped back from the frantic scene. His hands shaking with disbelief as he watched the light slowly fade from Tanjiro's once glowing eyes.
Muchiro wrapped his arms tightly around Tanjiro's torso, letting his tears silently dampen the boy's unnaturally pale cheek.

"Immune.......only features........ demon......... different........survive... sun.........not reliant on..flesh"
Tanjiro awoke to sharp pains all throughout his upper body; his eyes couldn't make out the surrounding. And his muffled senses could only visualise parts of the sentences that circulated around him.
"H-hello" Tanjiro wheezed out, his throat hurting by the mere sentence. He put a hand around his neck and slightly massaged it go get rid of the pain.
"T-Tanjiro! You're ok!" Zenitsu cried, his eyes were red rimmed as he chucked himself on top of Tanjiro.
"Get off him he's just woken up!" Inosuke scolded, picking up the electric teen by his collar and dropping him on the floor.
Hearing his friends, Tanjiro hurriedly closed his eyes and hid his fangs; worried as to how they would react.
"Don't worry Tanjiro, Obanai-san told us what happened, we've talked to the master and there's no problem at all, your not really a demon to be honest... you can just regenerate and have some physical features I guess" Rengoku voiced out of nowhere, ruffling Tanjiro's dark hair.
Tanjiro tried best to make out the situation at hand; however something was still fuzzy in his mind "what happened to me?"
"Sanemi... he ran off after he hurt you" Giyuu informed, stepping out from the corner of the room.
Tanjiro narrowed his slitted eyes; the contrast of blue and red was rather beautiful and everyone couldn't get enough of looking at them.
Tanjiro smiled kindly, it practically radiated sunshine as he did so. His sharp canines were on full display, although for some reason he looked even more beautiful, not intimidating in any way - as one would expect a demon to be.
"Thank you... I really mean it" Tanjiro stumbled out of his bed with a bit of difficulty before running out of the house; much to the protest of everyone of corse, but he way simply too fast.
He just had to find Sanemi.
'Shit shit where could he be?!' Tanjiro panicked, scanning the garden with keen eyes; for some reason his eyesight had got better since and he was able to see further distances.
He jumped up on the wall and stared into the woods; catching sight of a small patch of pure white hair, hidden behind some thick underbrush.
"Tanjiro! Your still not healed properly come back in!" Rengoku came running out of the house, attempting to lure the the boy back inside.
Tanjiro simply ignored him and took off running into the woods towards where he saw Sanemi.
He didn't want Sanemi to feel guilty over this.
That's the last thing Tanjiro would hate to see.
It wasn't long before the slayer began to make out the wind pillar's curled up figure. He was hidden behind a large oak tree; pressed up against an ivy bush. The sharp leaves began to dig past his clothing and penetrate his skin, it was Sanemi's way of punishing himself.
Tanjiro slowly approached the male; cautious not to make any noise as he listened to the gentle snifs coming from his direction.
"S-Sanemi?" Tanjiro crouched down next to him, concerned by how he was literally just sitting in an ivy bush.
The sudden voice made the male jump as he dried his eyes hurriedly, avoiding looking at Tanjiro whilst he tried to erase all evidence of the tears he had shed.
"What are you doing here..." Sanemi spoke gruffly; his voice shaky as he sniffled back the last of his tears.
Tanjiro looked at him sympathetically and gently grabbed his rough hand, pulling him slowly out of the bush "your gunna hurt yourself if you sit there" Tanjiro giggled, wrapping his arms around the male once he was next to him; tracing his fingers along the scrapes and sores on his back.
Sanemi shivered into the tough and was hesitant to return the hug, only breathing in Tanjiro's calming scent for the time being.
It was clear that just the visual of Tanjiro's blood seeping from his side, along with his agonised breaths had a hard effect on Sanemi. Just the feeling of draining life from the one he loved was so very hard to wrap his mind around.
A small chuckle made Sanemi raise his eyebrows, he pulled away gently to see Tanjiro laughing softly. His appearance didn't look threatening at all; his fangs nor eyes never made him less attractive.
Sunlight seemed to shower the boy as he laughed and placed a hand upon Sanemi's cheek "don't be so soft, look at me! I'm perfectly fine!" Tanjiro exclaimed gleefully; smiling at the surprisingly soft behaviour coming from the normally boisterous male.
Sanemi turned his head in disapproval; those heart wrenching screams still fresh in his mind.
Tanjiro's face softened. It hurt. Of course it did, the feeling of his organs failing, the sword slicing through flesh as easily as a knife though butter.
But he didn't care about that.
He only cared about Sanemi at this particular moment.
"Look at me" Tanjiro urged; gently pushing Sanemi's face to face him once more. His eyes gazed absently to the side, refusing to make eye contact.
Tanjiro used his thumb to wipe away the slight dampness on the other's cheek, smiling as he stared at his expression.
"Maybe this will change your mind"
With that, Tanjiro gently pressed his lips against Sanemi's, carefully manoeuvring his mouth so his teeth wouldn't spike his. The wind pillar froze as Tanjiro pulled away and embraced him in yet another hug.
"Come on... let's go back ok?" Tanjiro stood up first and hoisted the male to stand up "I'll make sure no one talks about it ok?"
Sanemi nodded sheepishly as they began to walk back to the butterfly mansion in the warm sun.
Hands entertained with one another as their conversation flowed like that of sweet honey.
