๐ˆ๐“ ๐–๐€๐’ ๐„๐€๐‘๐‹๐˜ ๐ˆ๐ the morning when Brie was sitting at the counter while she was chewing on a pancake. The brunette didn't get a lot of sleep that night because George and Izzie's music and singing had kept up the whole house.

"Wow you and George were really going at it last night." Brie stated when Izzie entered the kitchen, looking like a zombie.

Izzie immediately started coughing up her water and her eyes seemed to nearly pop out of her head when she looked at the brunette. "What?"

"The laughing, the drinking, the music- okay, you know what, nobody, I mean me, needs to hear George's rendition of SexyBack at 3:00 in the morning", Brie told her honestly while she sat down besides Meredith and Cristina at the kitchen table.

Izzie let out a laugh that seemed forced before she answered, "Yeah, yeah. You should have said something or you know, banged on the wall."

"It's like living in a youth hostel", Cristina stated before Meredith shrugged at her. "Well, the important thing is that she and George made up."

She glanced over at Izzie, her eyebrows raised, "You did, right?"

Suddenly Alex entered the kitchen, seeming as sleep deprived as everyone else that morning, "I need to use your bathroom."

Meredith frowned at him in confusion, "Why?" The man kept his answers short, "Cause O'Mally is puking in mine."

Cristina gave them a pointed look, repeated her words, "Youth hostel."

Meredith frowned deeply, "George is still here?"

Izzie had this weird smile on her face while she stumbled over her words. "Yes- yes. But only because he was too drunk to drive home. You know, just totally impaired. Like no heavy machinery drunk."

Alex gave her a sceptical look and then gazed at the other's, "What's her problem?"

Cristina just shrugged, "Still drunk."
Alex then nodded at Cristina and gave Meredith and Brie a questioning look, "What's she doing here?"

"She's afraid she's ruining her engagement to Burke, so she's hiding from him", Meredith explained calmly while she gave Cristina a pointed look.

"Not anymore. I have a plan. Burke doesn't want me to marry him to appease him-", Cristina told them.

"- which you are", Brie stated while she glanced at Cristina, who gave her a glare. "- soo we don't get married. Simple, we go back to the way it was.- Be kind, rewind. My plan has a name."

"I gotta go- I gotta get to work. See you guys later", Izzie suddenly stated. Just before she was about to grab her scarf, she stopped in her track. Suddenly they could all hear George groaning. "Is that George? You said he was upstairs, puking."

"So, now he's downstairs puking", Alex stated while he gave her a sarcastic smile before Izzie quickly left the kitchen.

"Okay let's go guys-", Brie stated, making them all hurry up with their breakfast to get to the hospital.

After they had changed into their scrubs and made their rounds they all gathered in the room of their Jane Doe.

"This is our computer generator approximation of your original facial structure. Based on the 3D CT scans we did, it's what you could look like after reconstructive surgery. Or you could look like this-", Mark explained to their Jane Doe while he switched the images of her face on the monitor. "- or this."

The woman seemed sceptical and Mark raised an eyebrow at her, "You don't like that?"

"Well, it's not that- it's - um, how does this work exactly?", she questioned curiously while her eyes fell onto Alex.

"He'll make an incision along your hairline and then-", Alex trailed off before she gave him a nodd. "I can take it."

Alex then went on with his explanation, "He'll literally pull your face off."

"It sounds a lot worse than it is. You're face is extremely elastic and oulliyot down allows me to repair the bone fracture underneath without any scarring. And once you've healed, no one will ever know you had the surgery. I'm that good", Mark reassured her immediately while he gave her a confident look.

Addison gave her a nodd, "He is! It's annoying."

The woman gave them questioning looks,"The surgery won't affect my baby?"

"I'll be monitoring the baby throughout, okay?", Addison assured her of her baby's safety. "Okay."

"So- then I just have to pick one?", Jean Doe questioned them and Alex nodded at her before she looked over at Mark, "Do I have to pick one now?"

Mark gave her a small smile and smiled before he spoke, "Take a couple hours and think about it."

The Jean Doe nodded her head mumbling, "Couple hours, yeah."

The group then left the patients room before Mark suddenly stopped Brie, "Dr. Taylor, what can you tell me about reconstructing orbital floor?"

"Uh, you can create a new base for eye sockets by harvesting bone from the skull", Brie recalled her memory from studying.

"Dr. Bailey, Dr. Taylor will be scrubbing in on the Jane Doe surgery. Come on, I'll show you how to do it without breaking the bone graft into a million pieces", Sloan stated while he smirked down at the brunette.

She slowly followed after him and the rest of the Interns continued their rounds.

After the two had talked the procedure through Brie placed the instruments down onto the table beside her, giving him a pointed look, "Why me?"

The man gave her a questioning look and she continued, "You never let your Interns do anything- why me?"

There was still no answer from him so she went on, her eyes narrowed at him, "Is it because you want to sleep with me?"

Mark suddenly smirked at her and shook his head in silence. After a moment he spoke, "It's because I'm your teacher and that's my job."

There was a small moment of silence while Brie felt her cheeks turning into a deep red which made her let her hair fall into her face.

Mark slowly pushed one of her brunette hair strains behind her ear before he continued, "And because you're a promising, talented, young Intern that deserves to do this procedure."

Brie met his eyes and a small smile made it's way onto her lips before she nodded her head. "Thank you-" She immediately felt herself grow nervous while she stared into his eyes. "- doctor Sloan."

BRIE HAD MOVED her skeleton head to the cafeteria where they were all eating, while she still continued to practice.

"Hey, talk to me about blackouts - are the real?", Izzie suddenly questioned when she joined the other's for lunch. "Do you really not remember anything afterwards?"

Meredith immediately gave her an answer, "Iz, I'm fine- I'm not drinking, I'm not drowning my sorrows. I'm fine- Everybody needs to stop protecting me."

Izzie gave her a weird look, "Um, this isn't really about you. I'm asking because back when you had a best friend named tequila, did you actually ever blackout?"

Meredith narrowed her eyes while thinking before she shrugged, "Once- or twice."

"The stuff you don't remember is usually the stuff you don't want to remember", Alex stated while he ate his sandwich, and smirked at Izzie.

The blond nodded quickly, "Right- great, thanks."

Cristina suddenly closed the file she had opened and looked around and the other's, "Hey, I have type two diabetes. Patient let it go, infection is in the bone, I have to find a fix or cut off the foot. Anyone? Anybody?"

"You get to cut off his foot?-", Alex questioned before he stuffed another part of his sandwich into his mouth. "Cool."

"Okay- no-Not cool!", Cristina immediately shot back at him with a frown on her face.

"The Patient was neglectful, he made a bad calls. Does that mean he had no hope? Does that mean he can't have a do over?", Cristina questioned the others and it was clear to Brie that she was talking about herself.

Izzie nodded at her and Alex gave her a confused look, "But you get to cut, do bonus stuff."

"We're taking about Burke now", Meredith clarified for Alex, who's frown deepened, "We are?"

"Operation be kind, rewind not going so well", Brianna stated while she glanced at Cristina.

"You need to fix it. 'Cause it seemes like you guys have a pretty good thing. And pretty good things are rare and hard to come by. Unlike really screwed up, complicated things which seems to be everywhere", Izzie told Cristina while she gazed out into the cafeteria.

"You know, things are great. I'm gonna get things back to the way they were. Watch me!", Cristina suddenly stated before she grabbed her stuff and left the tabel.

Izzie suddenly shook her head and seemed to snapo out of a trance before she addressed the other's, "Has Jane Doe picked a face?"

Brie was still practicing on the skeleton face while she shook her head,"No, not yet."

Izzie exhaled deeply, "How cool would that be? To get to pick your own face- just disappeared and start all over again."

Brie remained silent while she continued to study her procedure and a few minutes later she said her goodbyes and made her way down to the OR's.

She hurried to scrub in and while she stood in the scrub room, Mark approached her.

The man raised his eyebrows at her in question,"You've been practicing- the chief will be watching today."

"Of course." Brie nodded her head at him, doubts appearing inside of her that he had probably only chosen her because of her family name, but in that moment she pushed the thoughts away and focused on rocking that procedure.

Standing in the O.R. above their patient, the masks over their faces, Brie felt her heart pumping heavily in her chest.

"You ready?", Mark questioned her calmly, his eyes searching for hers.

Instead of giving him an answer she looked at the nurse besides her, "Osteotome and hammer."

"Use the curved osteotome to elevate the external table- gently", Mark instructed her while Brie started the procedure.

Brie felt like she was on top of the world while she was going through with the surgery. Here and there Mark complimented her work and before she even knew it the surgery was done and everything has gone according to plan.

Mark gave her a smile while he nodded his head at the brunette, "Nice job, Taylor."

THE NEXT DAY Brie was already putting on her scrubs when Meredith and Cristina entered the changing rooms. "He is upping his game - I need a gambit. I need to force him into the defensive. Take his queen."

Meredith gave her a questioning look and Cristina's face fell, "You've never played chess?"

Meredith shrugged, "I'm not a geek."

Cristina shook her head to herself, "I've got to crush him. I've got to annihilate him at his own game."

Brie decided that she wouldn't ask them about what they were talking about because she didn't wanna know.

Meredith seemed like she was ignoring what Cristina said, "So it's weird, right? Susan keeps stopping by like this? I mean we just became friends or somewhat related or whatever you call your strangers father's wife."

"You may be confused since you were basically raised by wolves, but this is what mothers do. They stop by, they stick the fridge." Alex stated simply. Then there was something like realization on his face, "Dude, you think she might do out laundry?"

Meredith immediately shot him a death glare, "Hey, get your own fake mom."

Suddenly George entered the changing rooms and his gaze immediately landed on Callie, who was laying on one of the benches, he arms crossed over her face, "Hey- bad night on call?"

After that the two fell into conversation and Brie got into her shoes before he attention was caught by Izzie.

She was dressed in a very expensive looking jacket and her hair was up in a tidy bun.

Alex let out an impressed whistle, "Iz, you look nice."

"Did you just come from confession?", Meredith questioned the blond while she eyed her up and down. "In a church?"

"Shut up", Izzie shot at her quietly over her shoulder and then started changing into her scrubs.

Alex and Brie exchanged looks before the man spoke again, "Izzie Stevens does penance. You did something bag."

The blond woman seemed uneasy before she left and disappeared behind the lockers.

"Okay, Let's go." Brie gave the rest of the group a nodd while they all got onto their feet and left the changing rooms.

Alex and Brie walked at the front, along side each other towards the room of the Jane Doe patient, when Alex started the conversation.

"Well, how was the surgery?"

His eyebrows were raised when Brie met his eyes and she smiled widely, "It was awesome." She didn't want to brag too much because she knew that Alex would've liked to do the surgery. "I know you wanted the surgery-"

Alex immediately shook his head, "No- you deserved it."

She gave him a thankful smile before she two rounded the corner and stepped into the patents room.

Dr. Sloan was already inside, speaking to the patient. He acknowledged the group of interns with a slight nodd of his head. "Morning."

Brie nodded back at him while she came to a stand next to the patient, "Morning, Dr. Sloan."

"Smile." Alex suddenly said and took a quick picture of Jane Doe with his camera. "Come on, man that's not a smile."

"Can I see?", she questioned him and Alex handed her the camera and the Jane Doe took it from his hands. "That's me- oh my God." She started smiling and laughing loudly. "I know this is gonna sound terrible but I'm not bad looking."

"I think beautiful is the word your looking for." Brie spoke, smiling at her.

"I was gonna say hot." Izzie stated with a large smile on her face when she exchanged a look with Brie.

George leaned towards the woman, a kind smile on his face while he whispered, "I was too, but I think I would've gotten into trouble."

Bailey gave him a dark glare, "You would've."

Mark examined the patients face, giving her a wink, "Still a little swelling. In a day or two I'll raise that hit to smoking."

"Then shouldn't we wait to take the after pictures?", Jaen Doe questioned them curiously.

"We could but the sonner we take them, the sinner we get out there", Bailey explained to her simply. "You're picture is gonna be everywhere. The police, the news, the Internet." Mark added with a supportive smile.

The Jane Doe frowned, "But if my face looks completely different, then what good would pictures do?"

Mark nodded, understanding her concerns, "I was able to maintain aspects of your bone structure, so your face bears some similarities to your old face. Plus, your hair and your eyes are the same."

The woman giggled loudly and then looked at the group of interns, "Do you really think someone might recognize me?"

"I think you should smile", Alex stated while he raised the camera once more and took another photo.

Brie smiled to herself while she watched the scene infront of her.

In the course of the day Brie assisted George in the pit and she was overjoyed when she heard that Jane Doe had been recognized by someone.

She wanted to pay her visit but first she wanted to have lunch with the other's.

"I've been watching for you in really old guy's room for 20 minutes. What gives?", Alex suddenly entered the room where they were having lunch in.

Meredith gave him an apologizing look, "Sorry we decided to eat here today."

"Nobody told me." Alex stated slightly annoyed while he sat down on one of the chairs in Bries opposite.

George joined them and came to stand infront of Cristina. He wanted to walk past her but the woman didn't move, "Anybody -", his gaze then fell on Cristina and he gave her a death glare. "Move."

The woman still didn't do as he said and he sighed deeply, "Anybody know what's going on with Izzie?"

Everyone remained silent, they hadn't seen her today, which was weird but the blond was weird since yesterday. George was annoyed by their silence and his voice became louder, "Something's going on!"

"Why don't you just ask her yourself", Meredith told him, still preoccupied with whatever she was doing.

"I would if I knew where she was", George exclaimed before he left the room, clearly agitated.

Cristina seemed unimpressed by the scene she had just witnessed and just looked over at Meredith, her tone bored, "I brought you lunch."

The blond sat down next to the brunette and the dark haired woman, trying to eat her lunch. She then suddenly frowned at Cristinas hands, "You've got stuff on your hands."

Cristina nodded her head, "I'm trying to scare away Cardio God."

"With pretty pretty fingers?", Meredith frowned and Brie didn't understand it either.

"He takes my rook, I take his bishop-", Cristina stated simply and no one was getting her reference.

"Hey- pouty head. Oh, why you so sad?", Cristina then questioned Alex while pouting. "Cause' no face girl's family's taking her home?"

"Really, someone claimed Ava?", Meredith quickly questioned them interested.

Brie nodded, "Yeah, her parents." The blond smiled, "She must be so relieved."

Cristina nodded, "Yeah, unless they suck. Can you imagine? You can't remember a family and they show up and turns out they're psycho-killers."

"-Or over-sharers." Meredith stated, exchanging a look with Christian.

Alex shrugged, "Whatever. She's a patient. I don't give a crap who her parents are or where she goes. Can we move on?"

Brie looked at him, a bit concerned that he was going to get his heart broken terribly.
