Kaho's Point of View~

I slowly opened my eyes as I felt someone lightly shake my shoulders. I slowly adjusted to the light as I blinked a couple of times and looked to my side to see it was the flight attendant who had woken me up.

"I am sorry to interrupt your sleep miss but the plane will be landing in seven minutes." She informed me in English as I covered my mouth and let out a yawn.

"It's alright. Thank you for letting me know." I said giving the flight attendant lady a small smile as she returned the smile and nodded as she walked away.

I looked outside the window to see that we were indeed very close to landing soon. It has been a while since I have seen my hometown. I have been in New York for two years. I quickly whipped out my phone and texted my brother that I was going to be landing in a couple of minutes in which he texted back saying that he's two minutes away from the airport.

That's when the seat belt sign came on. I quickly fastened my seat belt as the plane got ready to land. Before I knew it, we had landed at Okinawa airport. I slowly unfastened my seat belt and got up from my seat as I got my luggage down.

I let out a sigh as I disembarked the plane after thanking the flight attendant people. The minute I stepped into the terminal, I looked around as if this was the first time I have come here. It has been two years so it was pretty understandable.

"It's exactly 10:30AM here." I said looking at the time on my phone as I made my way to the luggage belt.

Considering I was moving back here permanently, I had to pack literally everything I had except for the furniture of course. But I had at least three large suitcases and two boxes. Apparently luck was on my side as I saw my brother, Kaoru standing near the belt as the luggage started coming in.

"Nii-San!" I said making him turn around as a smile formed on his face.

"It's great to see you after so long Kaho." He said as I hugged him.

"Yeah it's great to be back." I said still smiling.

"That's good. Now let's get your things and we can get going." he said as I nodded.

I was very much glad that my belongings came as fast as possible cause I was very tired from the flight and didn't feel like hanging around here anymore. I helped Kaoru put the boxes and all the luggage in the car.

After we were done, I quickly got into the passenger seat as he got in the driver's seat after a while and started to drive away from the airport and head towards home. It felt great to see that not much had changed here.

"So how have you and Joe been? Anything exciting happen at S?" I asked him as I looked away form the window.

"We've both been good aside from Kojiro being a miserable gorilla as usual. Nothing much has happened in S other than a beef which took place yesterday between Shadow and a red-headed boy." he answered my questions.

"I am guessing it didn't end well for the red-head huh?" I asked as he shook his head.

"Pretty much. You know how he plays dirty during beefs." he said as I rolled my eyes.

"Speaking of beefs, are you planning on coming to S tonight or do you want to rest?" He asked me as I shook my head.

"I might as well not come for today. I am pretty much tired and plus my board needs to get new wheels so I need to go to Dope Sketch to get it fixed." I explained as he nodded.

"Understood." he said as we both drove in silence till we reached home.

Kaoru got down first as I followed behind him. He quickly took out the keys as he opened the door only to be greeted by a robotic voice who I knew very well to be Carla who was an AI skateboard built by him.

"Welcome home Master." I heard her speak making me smile.

"Thank you Carla." Kaoru said.

"Good to see you Carla." I said smiling.

"Welcome back Kaho." She said as my smile turned into a grin.

I went back outside to take down my luggage and boxes as I slowly picked them up one by one. Kaoru helped with the heavy ones as he led me to my room. I am honestly surprised that nothing was touched after I left.

One thing I didn't expect was him to clean my room considering there wasn't a speck of dust here or I would have been sneezing. I put down the luggage as I went down yet again to get the rest. I was very much glad to be done taking all my stuff up since I just wanted to lay down on my bed and sleep but I had things to do.

"Since I am all done here, I have to go back to work. I'll see you later tonight." He said leaving my room as I nodded.

"Alright Nii-San." I said smiling as he left my room.

I sighed as I looked around. Everything looked the same as I have left it. I guess he didn't bother coming up here until a week before I returned here. I looked at my stuff knowing I had to unpack them but I knew those could wait since I have some unfinished business to attend to.

I pulled up one of my suitcases as I quickly unzipped it and took out my board. It's a miracle that it has been intact for quite some time even if I have been using it a lot. I got up from my bed as I quickly headed out of the after locking the door behind me.

I checked my phone to see it was two thirty in the afternoon. Instead of taking a vehicle or anything, I decided to walk to Dope Sketch. It's been a while since I have walked down the streets of Okinawa so it's best if I do so.

Though knowing I have to go to school tomorrow is something I wasn't looking forward to. I am not a bad student, just don't like school sometimes cause it's annoying. Before I knew it, I had reached my destination. I hoped Oka-San was still here since he always fixed up my board.

I took a deep breath and pushed the doors open as I let myself in. The place looked the same except a few changes but mostly looked like how I had last seen. That's when I saw the back door open to reveal Oka-San coming in.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Is there anything y- Kaho?!" He stopped mid way as he saw me getting slightly surprised.

"Good to see you again as well Oka-San." I said giving him a small smile as he calmed down and chuckled.

"It's good to see you again kid. It's been years. I didn't expect to see you here though." he said as I walked towards the counter.

"Only my brother and Joe knows that I would be returning here permanently. Sorry about that." I said apologizing as he shook his head.

"It's alright kiddo. So, is there anything you need?" He asked as I nodded.

"To be honest, yes I do. My wheels are acting out a bit so I was hoping if you could check and fix it for me?" I asked him as he nodded eagerly.

"Of course." He said as I handed him the board.

"So anything new? I know what happened at the beef but I am seeing this pace had a bit of redecorating as well." I asked him as he laughed.

"Well yes. Though I do have someone working here after school. He's your age." he said as he looked at my board.

"I found the problem. It won't take long and I'll fix it for you in a matter of minutes." He said as I nodded.

"Alright I can wait." I said as he headed to the back room while I looked around the place.

I walked around until I saw Sketchy coming out from his hiding place as I went over and knelt down to his level and stroked his head. Good to know he still remembers me. After what felt like a minute, I saw Oka-San come out.

"All fixed up." He said as I went over and took it from him.

"Thank you so much Oka-San! How much will it be?" I asked getting out my money but was instantly stopped.

"It's alright really. You've come from a tiring trip. You can take it for free." He said offering as I shook my head.

"I can't possibly leave without paying. You work really hard to fix and make these. I have to pay you something at least." I said protesting.

"It's alright right kiddo. Business has been going well for a while so a little bit of money doesn't really do much harm." He said as I sighed in defeat knowing it was useless arguing.

"Alright. I should get going. I'll see you later Oka-San! Bye Sketchy!" I said as I walked out of the shop and checked to see it was legit three thirty.

"Didn't know I was this late! I gotta go and have lunch!" I said running out of the place and nearly bumping into someone.

"G-Gomennasai!" I said while quickly looking back at the person and making a run for Joe's restaurant.

The only features I saw of the person I nearly bumped into was his blue hair and his electric blue eyes. God that felt awkward. I quickly set my skateboard down and readjusted my glasses as I skated down to Joe's place. I was so glad the restaurant was close by cause I was dying of hunger.

It wasn't so windy today which was a small bummer since it's fun when it's a lot windier than usual. My eyes lightened up as I saw Joe's Restaurant around the corner. I stopped my skateboard when I came near the restaurant.

I picked it up as I pushed open the doors and headed inside to see that no one was here. Guess they ate their lunch already which seemed legit since it was kinda past lunch time anyways and I was very much late.

"Hello what can I- Kaho?" I heard someone speak up as I looked in front to see Joe.

"Ohayo Joe! It's great to see you again." I said laughing a little at his shocked expression.

"I-I didn't know you'd be coming back here today Cherry Junior." he said ruffling my hair as I giggled.

"Hey! I am not a little kid you know?" I said swatting his hand away he chuckled.

"I know I know but it's been a really long time since I have seen you. This place got boring without you. It's great to know you're back." he said as I nodded.

"Yep and it's for good too." I said letting out a sigh.

"Wasn't New York good for you?" he asked as I shrugged.

"I mean it was okay but I missed this place. Mostly missed you guys and skateboarding at S. New York was kinda boring." I said scratching my neck.

"Good to know you still haven't lost interest in skateboarding. Anyways, take a seat anywhere and tell me what you want. I can tell your flight was a tiring one." He said as I laughed.

"It was to be honest. The airplane food sucks." I said going over to a table and sitting down after setting down the skateboard.

"So what are we thinking to eat today?" He asked as I pondered.

"How about Pizza? I am kind of craving it right now." I said as he smiled and nodded.

"Of course. Be right back." He said going back to the kitchen as I was left alone to myself.

I decided to look outside the window. Maybe after I am done eating, I could go to the skatepark before coming back home. I was planning on watching whatever happens at S through my phone since I have access to the live cameras and whatever is happening like everyone else.

I quickly fixed my hair and smoothed down the small knots that were present and took out my phone to go through my socials. I didn't really have that many friends here or in New York. I only had one friend in New York but of course she's no longer with me making me lonely once again.

Maybe I can try making new ones here? I wasn't so sure on that note since I never really had many friends here. Right at that moment, I heard the kitchen door open to reveal Joe coming in with Pizza.

"Here's your order. I hope you enjoy." he said as I smiled.

"Arigato Joe. Can I get the bill as well?" I asked since I always pay before eating. 

"It's on the house so no payment is needed." He said making me shocked since this is the second time.

"A-are you sure?" I asked as he shook his head.

"It's alright. Plus you came from a long trip so take it for free from a friend." he said leaving my table as I sighed and started eating.

I finished eating it in ten minutes basically because I was hungry as hell. I got up and cleaned my hands and came back to grab my board. I let Joe know before leaving the restaurant and made my way to the skatepark.

I was very much happy that no one was here. Meaning that I was able to get some lone time to practice my skateboarding tricks and whatever. I skateboarded over to the ramp and started to do ollies and flips of my own.

I did a few spins on my board and did a couple of hand stands as well. I remember teaching Miya these tricks when he was still learning. It made me wonder how he was doing right now. I haven't talked to him for a while. My thoughts were cut off by a few voices.

"Didn't think I'd see a girl skateboarding here." I looked to the side to see a group of four boys.

"Please like she can even properly skateboard." This made me ticked off even more as I o=used my foot to lift my skateboard as I grabbed it by my hand.

"Okay first of all, girls can skateboard and second of all, I can prove to you lots that I am better than you lot." I said walking over to them as they started laughing making me even more mad.

"Please! Like you can do any better- OW!" he yelled since I had jabbed him on the toes with my foot.

"You little- ack!" he got interrupted yet again as I grabbed him by the collar and brought him down to my level.

"Listen here bozo! I don't know who the hell you are but if you speak one more sh*t about girl not knowing how to skateboard or degrade them, I won't hesitate to punch the living daylights out of you. Understand?" I said shoving him to the ground which seemingly made the other three scared.

"Good to know you lot got the message." I said walking over and shoving past one of them as I skated back home.

When I came back home, Kaoru was nowhere to be found which meant he hasn't come back from work. I went to my room and started to unpack some stuff. While I was doing so, Kaoru had come back at some point and I continued with my unpacking and stuffing stuff in their places.

I had already unpacked a suitcase and a box and was literally sitting cross-legged on the floor with an open box in front of me. Right at that moment, I heard a knock on my door which slowly opened to reveal Kaoru who looked like he was ready to go to S right now.

"Just letting you know that I am leaving to go to S and there is dinner left for you in the fridge which you can heat up later." He told me as I nodded.

"Alright sounds like a plan." I said but he continued to speak.

"Also you don't have to go to school tomorrow and take a day off since you need it." he told me as I let out a relieved sigh.

"Okay but I am coming to S tomorrow." I told him as he nodded.

"Alright. Take care and make sure to clean up afterwards." he said as I rolled my eyes.

"Alright 'dad'." I said jokingly as he closed the door behind him as I continued to unpack.

After unpacking the last box, I decided to leave it for now and go downstairs to eat. I heated up the food and looked at the clock to see it was ten minutes till midnight. Honestly surprised how it felt like minutes had only passed and not just an hour and half.

I set down my plate on the table and sat down as I started to eat. I wasn't in any rush unless there was a beef tonight. Kaoru would always let me know if there is one or if anything exciting is happening which always catches my attention.

I finished eating and went over to the sink to wash it up. I quickly cleaned the table and made sure there was no mess left. After I was done, I made my way to my room and before I could even enter my room, I got a message from Kaoru.

Watermelon Head:
Look through the S cameras now! It's important!

Me:
Why? 

Watermelon Head:
Just look.

Me:
Alright fine, but this better be good! >:^

Watermelon Head:
Trust me, it is.

His message seemed persistent so I quickly opened the S live cameras and looked to see Shadow racing with someone who I had never seen before. he looked around my age but had blue hair and he was legit skating down the road like a pro.

I laid down on my bed and looked at how he was dong so but he didn't fail to amaze me. By the looks of it, he looked like someone who was very good at snowboarding due to the way he was using the board. I did notice that his feet were taped to the board which confused me a lot more than others.

I continued watching and he was very much doing well until Shadow had caught up to him. By then they had already reached the abandoned factory. Shadow knew what he was doing but I don't think the Blue haired boy was giving up that easily since he seemed to have been thinking of a way just by looking at him.

That's when I saw him pushing the board to his side as I saw him slide down a beam which nearly made my heart jump but what surprised me was how his plan was actually a good one. I could tell Shadow was shocked by this.

That's when I saw Shadow pull out his small bombs and throw them upwards as the blue haired boy skated down the slide but what amazed me even more was how he had elegantly dodged them all and looked like he was flying.

I was surprised at the amount of air he had picked up in order to do that. I stared at it amazed and for a few the fire crackers and the way he skated, it looked like it was snowing in Okinawa for the first time. After he had landed, he had won the beef. I just stared at him in shock. He legit skated like he was a pro and he had mad skills.

I switched out of the live cameras and went back to my messages with Nii-San. I had to ask him who this guy was. He sure had piqued by interest alright. I quickly typed down the message to him and waited for his response.

Me:
Who was that?! He looked like a pro!

Watermelon Head:
From what I know, his name is Langa Hasegawa and I know this since he had come earlier today for a job offer.

Me:
Lemme guess? You turned him down cause he is underage?

Watermelon Head:
Yep. Also he's just a rookie. He hasn't skateboarded but the the way he used the board, it was like snowboarding and I can tell you figured that one out. Apparently from what I heard, he moved from Canada recently.

Me:
I very much did and really? A rookie? He seemed like he knew what he was doing.

Watermelon Head:
I guess you could say he has mad skills and won by pure luck.

Me:
I see...

I put down the phone from my face as I recalled Nii-San's words and what I had witnessed happening at S. Though the boy looked similar to someone I had nearly bumped into. That was most definitely him since he matched the features.

"A rookie huh?" I mumbled to myself as I smile formed on my face.

I knew very well that this was something that sure had taken my interest. I am guessing they were going to come back to S tomorrow which was perfect since I am going tomorrow as well. I couldn't wait to meet him tomorrow night.

CHAPTER I

Heyo guys I have finally finished writing the first chapter! 

This is actually my first time writing for an anime character so I hope I haven't messed up anywhere!

Though I plan to do better and not mess up by accident!

This book might end up having more than 20 chapters cause I will be adding some additional chapters of my own and not base everything episode wise!
