𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙚's eyebrows knit together in confusion as she and the other boys walk closer to the watch tower. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭?

"Stay back! Stay back!" Gally yells, attempting to dodge the incoming wave of rocks.

"What's going on?" Thomas questions, concern and curiosity getting the best of him.

"Girls are awesome!" Chuck giggles as he holds his hands up to block the sun—gazing above him.

Blake's face scrunches in confusion.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯?

Following Chuck's finger pointing to the watch tower, Blake's eyes widen at the sight before her.

"There you go, all right!"

"Oh, damn!" Fry shouts as he dodges a rock hurling in his direction.

"Leave me alone!" A voice shouts from the top of the tower, making Blake roll her eyes as she, Minho, and Thomas walk closer.

"Everybody watch your heads!"

The small brunette flinches as a rock flies right past her face, knitting her eyebrows together.

"What the fuck, bitch." Blake cusses as she flickers her eyes between the other girl and the group of boys, shielding their heads with anything they can find.

Blake's frown forms into a smile as she watches multiple gladers get hit on the head, giggling at the chaos.

"Hey! Throw one more of those things, I'm.." Gally starts to threaten but gets interrupted—mid-sentence as a rock smacks the top of his head.

"Ow!!" The builder yelps in pain, jumping back to put some distance in between and shooting a glare up to the wooden structure towering above.

Tears cloud Blake's vision as she doubles over in laughter. Her lungs plead for air as she can't stop laughing.. 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.

Gally instantly grows agitated, hearing Blake die laughing at his pain. Whipping his head to the small brunette, the tallest glader shoots the girl a warning glare.

"Shut up, Blake. I hope you get hit next." The builder grumbles as Blake rises back to her original height, wiping the tears full of joy away as she gasps for air.

Thomas and Minho continue pushing their way through the crowd as the three runners come to stand beside the annoyed blond.

"I don't think she likes us very much!" Newt yells as he turns to face the small brunette beside him, still recovering. "Blake, go talk to her!—You're a girl."

"I think I'll stay down here." Blake giggles. "This is pretty entertaining."

Minho glares at the brunette, laughing at her unwillingness to help the boys. 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵

"Stop, we just wanna talk!" Thomas yells out, attempting to calm the other girl down.

"I'm warning you!" The girl yells from above, raising another rock over her head to throw.

"Take cover! Take cover!!" The boys shout as more rocks fly down from the tower.

One rock smacks the top of Blake's head, instantly angering the smallest runner. "Hey—asshole!" Blake cusses up at the other girl, shoving her middle finger up into the air. "Shitty ass aim, hitting the only other female here!"

"That's your karma, Blakely."

The small brunette narrows her eyes as she quickly turns to the builder, flicking him on the forehead. "Shut up, Gal."

"Ow!—Blake!"

Rocks continue flying past the gladers as Thomas makes his way up to the front, yelling, "Whoa, whoa, hey! It's Thomas! It's Thomas!"

Blake narrows her eyes at the watch tower as the rocks suddenly stop flying. 𝘖𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦.

"She stopped?" A boy questioned in disbelief, making Blake shrug her shoulders as her arms crossed over her chest. "Evidently."

"Okay, I'm gonna come up there!" Thomas yells, slowly moving backward.

Blake rolls her eyes as she flickers her glare between the greenie and the wooden structure, ignoring Gally as he glares holes into the side of her head.

"Okay." Thomas breathes out a sigh of relief. "Just me."

The greenie looks toward Gally before his whiskey orbs flicker over to a set of annoyed emeralds, noting how Blake seemed overall, pissed.

Blake taps her foot impatiently as she glares at the watch tower. Huffing, the small brunette rolls her eyes as she catches sight of Thomas's shadow inching toward the other girl.

"Jealousy doesn't look good on you, Blake." A British accent whispers into her ear.

Blake rolls her eyes at the boy, shoving the blond a little beside her playfully. "I'm not jealous, Newty. She hit me in the head with a rock!"

The blond only smiles beside the girl, knowing damn well she was trying to hide the pit of poison bubbling in her stomach. "Well, you don't see me angry right now, do you?"

Blake rolls her eyes again, letting out another deep breath before glaring at the boy beside her. "How long is this going to take."

"Nervous they're up there kissing?"

Blake's teeth grit in anger as she tries to push her unwanted feelings away. "Newt. I love you—But shut your trap."

Gally impatiently taps his foot, ignoring the two bickering beside him. "What's going on up there?" He shouts. "is she coming down?"

Blake raises her eyes up to see Thomas—looking over the edge. Their eyes meet for a split second before his gaze returns to Gally.

"Umm..." The greenie starts, trailing off as he looks down at the other girl.

Blake notes his nervousness—keeping her glare on the attractive boy above her as their eyes connect again.

"Hey, listen, you guys just give us a second, okay?" Thomas yells down to the rest of the teens, ripping his gaze away from the small brunette

"Unbelievable." Blake mutters lowly, scoffing as she throws her hands up before walking away.

Newt and Thomas watch as the girl stomps away from different angles. The greenie's eyebrows furrow in confusion as Newt presses his lips together, knowing exactly what the girl's deal is.

"All right." Newt breaks the uncomfortable silence, gesturing to the rest of the boys. "Come on."

Fry stares at the watch tower above him, furrowing his eyebrows at the other girl. "Is this what all girls are like? Blake isn't like this?"

Gally barks out a laugh before turning to Frypan, scoffing. "Blake 𝙞𝙨 like this."

Blake leans against a tree with her legs crossed in front of her, feeling the breeze blow her hair around her face. Her eyes glance up from her hands toying with the hem of her tank top to Gally standing in front of her with his arms crossed—glaring at the tower.

"What's wrong, Gal? Scared of the shank?" Blake taunts, still aggravated by the taller boy's previous remarks.

Gally rolls his eyes as he angrily whips toward Blake. Scoffing, the builder meets her amused expression. "You know—I know we aren't the best of friends...but you don't have to be a 𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝."

Blake laughs at the builder's jab, feeling the anger starting to bubble in the pit of her stomach—𝙄'𝙢 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠.

"Says the asshole. All you've done to the greenie is bitch at him." Blake hisses, sending the taller boy a glare as she pushes herself up against the tree to stand.

Gally chuckles dryly as he takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself from the infuriating girl. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯, 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦?

"You know—it must suck to find out your boyfriend is into someone else." The builder taunts with a sly smile.

Not even a split second later, Blake's fist connects with the side of the boy's face, earning a pained groan to leave his lips as he stumbles back—glaring at the smallest runner as she challenges him.

Blake points her finger inches away from his face as she comes to stand toe to toe with the tallest boy. "He is 𝙉𝙊𝙏 my boyfriend! Why does everyone keep saying that!"

Gally clenches his jaw, glaring down at the girl who clearly isn't afraid to throw another one. "Because you two are always together. It would only make sense. Wouldn't be surprised if you haven't already banged yet."

Blake squeezed her eyes shut, trying to restrain herself. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘪𝘮. 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘥, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?

Springing forward again, Blake socks the annoying builder again, landing a hard punch to his gut, making him double over in pain as he coughs.

Raising her fist up again to collide it with his stupid eyebrows—a pair of hands suddenly pull her away by her waist.

"You son of a bitch!" The small brunette screams, face turning a new shade of red as she thrashes in the other person's arms, trying to break free.

"Blake, Calm down!" A voice cooes

𝘔𝘪𝘯.

Blake rips out of Minho's grip, turning around to face her best friend. Throwing his hands off her, the small brunette looks over Minho's shoulder.

𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵. 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦.

Thomas and the other girl quickly rush toward the commotion, both expressing worried and confused looks as they approach.

Upon hearing the commotion, Newt walks over with confusion written all over his face. "The hell is going on?"

"This shank just punched me, twice!" Gally yells, pointing toward the angry brunette, still shaking with rage.

Newt turns to the small brunette with an eyebrow raised, watching as Blake tries to calm her breathing. The blond fights the urge to smile at the thought of Blake landing another punch to Gally's annoying face.

One of Minho's hands rests on the small girl's waist while the other crosses over the top of her shoulders, keeping her from attacking the builder once more as the two glare daggers at each other.

"Blake, did you hit him?" The blonde questions, lips slightly twitching up at the corners.

"Not hard enough, apparently." Blake grits her teeth together as she tries to wiggle out of Minho's grip—Failing as he holds onto the small girl tighter.

Thomas and the other girl stand beside Minho and Blake, watching with wide eyes. The greenie's face falls into a frown as he notices the keeper's grip on the small brunette.

Truthfully, she wasn't his.

They had just made out.

But the sight of another guy being all up on her— had his stomach boiling with poison he didn't want to acknowledge.

He couldn't be jealous.

He could barely stand the girl.

Sure, she's hot...but

A sigh leaves Newt's lips, interrupting Thomas from his head. "Blake, that's a night in the pit. You know we don't harm another glader. I don't know what your deal is lately—" The blond starts, trying to assert authority.

He knew Gally probably deserved it, but he was now their leader. He had to enforce their rules. The builder was already shooting him a look.

"It's fucking eyebrows over there!" Blake interrupts, squirming in Minhos grip. "Can't keep his fucking trap shut!"

Newt rolls his eyes as he lets out another sigh. 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘴. 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵.

"You know the consequences, Blake."

"Yeah, got it—night in the pit." Blake laughs as she wiggles her arm free from her best friend's grip. Sending the boy a smile and a dry laugh, the small brunette stomps away, shooting the greenie a glare as she passes by.

Minho shakes his head as he casts his eyes above him. 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧𝘧. 𝘚𝘩𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦.

"What's wrong with her?" The new girl asks, genuinely confused by the whole situation.

"I don't know." Thomas shakes his head in confusion as he glances up to watch the builder glare at the small brunette walking away. "Gally probably said something to piss her off."

The new girl nods beside Thomas as her dark brown eyebrows knit together, noting how the two runners acted towards each other.

Thumbing over her shoulder, the new girl asks, "Are they dating or something?"

Thomas shakes his head as his face falls into a frown, watching as Minho jogs after the small brunette. "No."

"Oh, okay. Just thought—H-he's touchy with her and seems to be able to calm her down.." The girl stutters a bit, slightly embarrassed to have asked the question. Shifting to face a scowl resting on the boy's face beside her. 𝘕𝘰𝘸, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺?

"Yeah—well, they're just best friends." Thomas replies, annoyed.

"Just friends, huh?" The girl tries to joke, nodding towards the two runners. The taller brunette girl wanted to confirm her suspicions.

Thomas' head snaps in their direction, instantly growing more agitated as Minho and Blake hug. He didn't care if they hugged; they were best friends. But what he didn't like was the location of the keeper's hand.

Sitting too low for his liking on Blake's lower back.

𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬. 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘫𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘴.

Thomas squeezed his eyes shut in realization, letting an in-audible growl as he ran his hand over his face.
