"OBITO, PLEASE PULL THE PHONE back a little, all I'm seeing is your nostril hair..." Sakura sighed for the nth time as she patiently waited for Obito to get the hang of FaceTiming. Goodness, it didn't take her this long to learn the basics. Even Gaara understood it after thirty painstaking minutes of seeing his darkly rimmed eyes up close on her phone screen.
"Oops, sorry," he chuckled as he pulled Kakashi's phone back a good amount. His face was in full view now, as well as the neckline of the alien-patterned shirt he was wearing. Ever since he entered this world, he had been obsessed with wearing oddly patterned shirts.
It was so weird, seeing Obito so... normal and carefree. And borderline childish, seeing as he was the one who figured out how to work those odd devices in front of the large TV in the living room. They were called video games and consoles. Obito was strangely excited about this one game called Pokemon Shield and introduced her to it, which led to her growing obsessed with it too. Since there were more than one Nintendo Switches in the house, the two of them were able to fawn over each other's Pokemon and battle it out much to Gaara and Kakashi's absolute confusion. Those two never understood the point of video games, but Obito and Sakura get it.
The man who started the Fourth Shinobi World War that killed millions. Obsessed with playing Pokemon and weird patterned shirts. The thought made her want to laugh and cry at the same time.
"Alright, I'm at the Apple Store right nowβ" She started.
"βWait what?" He furrowed his brows. "I thought you were gonna get me a phom?"
"It's 'phone', and yes, I am. Apple is just the name of the phone brand. For some odd reason..." She mumbled the last part.
"Ahh, okay, okay. I don't really care what you get me, just get me the coolest one. Oh, and get me a phone case too! I don't know, something with ninjas on it."
She already had a phone in mind, but as for phone cases... She looked at the shelves full of phone accessories and frown. "Um, yeah, you're gonna have to settle with... ducks... owls... plaid... or plain colors. Oh and I see a rainbow one too. That one's cute."
He scowled. "Seriously? Those are so lame... Get me one that can protect my phone if I were to throw it Bakashi's head."
"I heard that!" Was shouted in the background.
"A protective case... what color?" She asked, switching the camera forward.
"Uhhhhh the blue one." He decided.
She grabbed it and went to speak with one of the employees. After paying with the right amount of 'money', she left the store and walked through the busy streets.
"Damn Bakashi wasn't kidding when he said this city was huge," he commented as she generously showed him the scenery. "Man, when the fuck is this house arrest gonna end?" He whined.
"You're almost done with your... sentence." She nearly laughed. His sentence was so light compared to the true extent of his crimes. But it wasn't like Aizawa and the others could arrest him for everything he had done in another world anyways.
If he's complaining about being stuck in a gigantic house with high-tech gadgets all over the place and those roombas he's so fond of, then I'd hate to see how he'd react to being put in a dirty, small, cell. She snorted at the thought. He'd probably just kamui himself out of there.
As she was rambling to him about all the super cool facts she learned about this worldβwith him listening intently (which she really appreciated because not everyone bothered to listen to her *cough cough* her husband *cough cough*), she spotted a familiar tired man walking in front of her with a coffee in hand.
"Aizawa-sensei, you're back!" She exclaimed, walking over to him. He looked as if her presence just ruined whatever peace he had, but she didn't care. "How was the search? Please tell me you found something...!"
The grimacing look she received told her all she needed to know. She deflated. "Oh..." She said softly. "I see..."
"It's not much," he admitted. "The two villains who escaped during the USJ attack were using aliases and their Quirks aren't on record, making them members of the underworld. And as for the Nomu... well, you were right when you said it was dead. That thing's basically a corpse and it hasn't spoken or done anything since we took it in."
Sakura bit the inside of his cheek."
"I'm sorry," he genuinely meant it. "We're trying our best, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack..."
"No, I understand," she said. "We really appreciate what you're doing for us. But, um, now that you're back will you be teaching 1-A again?"
"Yeah," he grunted. "Though I've been hearing that Hatake's been giving the brats hell?"
She winced, remembering all the injuries she had to heal. "Yeah..."
He smiled ruefully. "Good to hear. Hopefully they'll be prepared for the Sports Festival."
"Hey, Sakura, ask him if I'd be able to go with you guys for the Sports Festival!" Obito hissed, the FaceTiming still on. He was getting a good view of everyone's shoes but he could hear everything perfectly.
Aizawa heard him and answered, "Your house arrest will be done a few days before it begins, so you're in luck. Just don't go running around with villains again, got it?"
"I just wanted some underwear and dango..." He mumbled bitterly.
The other man rolled his eyes. "Yeah, whatever. Anyways, I gotta get going. Got some cats to feed. I'll see you later, Uchiha and... other Uchiha."
"Goodbye, Aizawa-sensei." She said politely.
Once he was gone, Obito spoke up again. "Hey Sakura? Mind coming back now? I wanna have another Pokemon battle with you."
"Oh fine."

Class 1-A was tense as the clock ticked on. Homeroom would start soon and unlike the usual, all twenty students were so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Their eyes were searching the room at every inch, paranoid that they'd find the Silver Demon creeping around.
The Silver Demon was Kakashi's new moniker. Ever since his first day substituting, class 1-A has not known peace. Most of the students even had nightmares about him beating them to death. Mineta swore he saw him in his bathroom mirror when he looked away for a second. It had gotten so bad that a good portion of the kids now slept with several night lights in the room.
Even Bakugou was terrified of the manβthough he tried to keep his fears to himself. But everyone knew that he was just as terrified as they were. He hadn't been the same since that one fateful sparring day where Kakashi used his ultimate move 'A Thousand Years of Death' on the class's loudmouth, and they immediately noticed how different he became afterwards.
The bell rang and everyone instinctively flinched, looking around wildly for the Silver Demon. He had yet to show up, but they knew he was there. Somewhere... lurking... waiting...
"I don't hear him..." Jiro whispered, her earphone jacks moving around to find any stray heartbeats. She suddenly stiffened. "W-wait... I hear something. Outside the window..."
"He's outside?" Momo inquired.
She nodded. "Yeah, like... right outside the window."
"B-but we're on the third floor..." Kaminari gulped.
"He could walk on the ceiling, I'm pretty sure he could walk on walls." Jiro shrugged.
"Someone go check it out," Ojiro said.
"Not it!" Mineta, being on the row right by to the windows, squeaked.
"I-I-I'd rather not..." Midoriya stuttered.
"You guys are fucking wimps!" Bakugou snarled, rising to his feet. "I'll fucking do it!"
"Be careful, Bakugou!" Kirishima warned.
"Don't tell me what to fucking do, Shitty Hair!" He snapped, but his shoulders were painfully stiff and he was approaching the window in a more cautious way. He hid the way he gulped as he pushed the window open. Then... he stuck his head out and looked around.
"The hell...?" He muttered. "I don't see him."
"That's because I'm right behind you," a voice said.
Someone screamed, and Bakugou nearly did too but he'd never admit it. He whirled around so fast that he nearly bumped his head on the raised window and glared at the perpetrator who was smiling that insufferable smile. If anyone noticed the way he was covering his butt, they didn't mention it.
"Nice work, Jiro-san," Kakashi complimented. "Bakagou, you should learn to act faster."
"SHUT THE FUβ"
Kakashi pressed a finger to his lips, not even caring that he'd probably get it bitten off. It was alright. He'd been bitten by dogs before, blonde gremlin children were nothing different.
"Return to your seat, Bakagou, I've got a few words to say to the class."
Fuming, Bakugou did as he was told without another word. He was probably too scared of experiencing another A Thousand Years of Death attack. Nobody could blame him.
Kakashi strode to the front of the room and addressed the class, "First off all, I'd like to say that I'm really proud at your teamwork. It only took you kids two tries to understand that teamwork is key to fighting against me. I hate to admit it, but barely any of my previous students understood that fact."
And those kids were put into teams where their sole purpose was teamwork. He inwardly shook his head.
Everyone's eyes widened.
"Y-you've taught other kids before...?" Iida choked out. He wondered if those poor kids were still alive today...
"Yes!" He answered brightly.
"Are they... alive?" Uraraka spoke Iida's thoughts.
"Of course they are! Well... I'm certain three of them are. I mostly only taught three. The others were failures." He said, and everyone couldn't help but shiver at his words. "One of my ex-students is even here at UA! She's my most favorite one, I'm real proud of her."
If he could hear how fast their hearts were beating, he didn't show it.
"O-o-o-one of your students is here?!" Midoriya squeaked, breathing erratically. He wondered what sort of monster they were to be labeled the Silver Demon's favorite student.
They must be worse than Kacchan! He thought frightfully, images of blood-thirsty beasts coming to mind.
"Mmhmm," he replied, unaware of the heart attacks they were all experiencing. Either that or he just didn't care. "In fact, you'll be going against her in the Sports Festival since she's a first year."
Everyone was trembling now, their souls leaving their bodies as they registered his words. The final round of the Sports Festival was always the same: a one-on-one match. They had no doubts that his favorite student would make it that far, which meant that they'd possibly have to fight against her.
Some of the kids looked like they were about to throw up at any moment. Mineta had already vomited in his mouth.
Momo managed to raise up a shaking hand. "K-Kakashi-sensei, if you don't mind us asking... who is this ex-student of yours?"
He smiled, though to them it looked like it was filled with a promise of bloodshed. "I'm so glad you asked, Yaoyorozu-san! Her name is Sakura and she's from class 1-C."
There was a pause. And then:
"EHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!"
"U-Uchiha-chan is the demonβI mean, student?!" Mina exclaimed. "But she's so nice?!"
He tilted his head. "Yes? Did I say she wasn't?"
"B-b-but she has a healing Quirk?!" Kaminari cried out in confusion.
"No she doesn't! Didn't Ojiro say something about her making some water dragon?" Kirishima pointed out.
"Uchiha is also physically strong," Shouto said, which caused everyone to pause. They hadn't heard him talk until now. "It reminds me a lot of All Mightβ"
"βAnyways!" Kakashi cut in, not wanting to hear any more of his wild theories. Almost every day he'd see the kid looking between him and Shoji despite the many times he told him that he had no son. The only kid he had was Sarada andβ
βWhoa there. He nearly choked on his spit from what he was thinking. No, no, no, now was not the time to think that.
"Sakura-chan isn't someone to underestimate," he warned them all, not realizing that he had referred to her in a too familiar way. Whoops. Some of the students took note of that. Double whoops. "At this moment, she far surpasses all of you when it comes to... well, everything. Out of everyone in this Sports Festival, she'll be your biggest threat."
"Butβbut she's in the general ed course...!" Mina spluttered.
"By her own admission," he stated. "She has no need for heroics. But if she's serious about thisβ" Which he hoped she was. "βthen she'll have this tournament in the bag."
They all fell silent as they took in his words. They had met Sakura before when they were on the bus on the way to the USJ. Not all of them spoke to her, but they definitely overheard her conversation with certain students. She was nice, but perfectly unassuming. She had told them that her Quirk allowed her to heal and nothing else. How was healing going to help her win?
But then again... they knew about Ojiro's account about the water dragon she somehow made and Shouto's input about her physical strength. Could she really be a threat?
Yeah. Yeah she probably was. Especially since she was taught by the Silver Demon. There was no doubt about that now. Uchiha Sakura, no matter how innocent she looked, was probably the number one threat to winning the Sports Festival.
They knew first hand how hellish Kakashi's training was. They could still feel the phantom bruises and broken bones in their bodiesβall of which were effortlessly healed by his apparent favorite student. If Sakura was actually able to survive all that and become his all-time favorite student... then she was a monster.
"Not only that," he added. "But she's also the favorite student of another teacher I knowβSenju Tsunade. That woman was a nightmare. Made poor Sakura-chan study day and night while throwing boulders at her for her to dodge or punch through... She threw a few desks at me once. One time, a bottle of sake."
WHO GAVE THESE PEOPLE A TEACHING LICENSE?! They internally screamed.
"Well, story time's over!" He chirped. "Get dressed and meet me outside. I've decided that today I'll be testing out your dodging skills by throwing kunais, shurikens, and some explosive tags at you. If you lose any limbsβthen that's on you."
They had no idea what either of those things were, but they sounded lethal. And dangerous to throw at teenagers, but probably half of things he'd done were illegal. Did he care? Nope. And so, they accepted their early graves and rose to their feet.

Sakura had no idea where Kakashi was during lunch but she had a feeling he had something to do with all these 1-A kids congregating around her table at the cafeteria. Midoriya, Momo, Kirishima, Kaminari, Uraraka, Iida Ojiro, and Mina were surrounding her from all sides now.
Damn, she cursed. She couldn't even eat her nabe in peace because of these kids.
"Um, Uchiha-san, can we clarify something with you...?" Midoriya began anxiously.
She blew at her nabe while nodding her head.
"Is it true that you were one of Kakashi-sensei's old students?" He finally blurted out.
How much did you tell them? She wondered before answering, "Yes, but that was... years ago." About ten years ago in fact, but she wasn't going to tell them that part of course.
"If you don't mind us asking, but what exactly did he teach you? What was your training regimen like?" Momo inquired.
She winced at the question. She wasn't blind to the fact that he had been rather... negligent towards her. The only actual lesson she remembered him teaching her was the importance of team work and chakra controlβbut she already had the latter part down before he introduced it. Then after that, Sasuke defected from Konoha and Naruto left to go train under Jiraiya. Kakashi had practically left her after that and she floundered around desperately until she begged on her hands and knees to be taught by Tsunade.
So yeah, Kakashi didn't really teach her much. But she had went on a bunch of missions with himβall of them very memorableβand she knew just how reliant of a teammate he was. He protected her from rogue ninjas, protected her from Sasuke when he tried to kill her so many times, even used Susanoo to shield her despite the massive amount of pain it gave him. Hell, they went to war together, fighting side-by-side against all the enemies and the final, final, final boss.
He may not have been a good teacher to her, but he was a damn good teammate.
"Um, well, he taught me some stuff..." She said lamely, knowing that she was being extremely vague. This time she honestly wasn't meaning to. "As for my training regimen... well, that was given to me by my shiβother teacher. I mostly just did a lot of meditation." And rock-dodging.
Uraraka leaned closer and whispered, "Is it true she used to throw boulders at you and drink a lot?"
Seriously, how much did he tell you guys?!
"...Yeah..."
They all winced sympathetically.
"You're the manliest person I know, Uchiha-chan," Kirishima said seriously. "I don't know how you're able to handle training under the Silver Demon and that crazy lady too!"
"Silver Demon?" She bit back a laugh. "Is that what you're calling Kakashi-sensei?" Wow. Another nickname to add to his already large list of nicknames. It suited him nicely though, to be honest. He could be a true demon when he wanted to.
"He really is a demon," Ojiro shivered. "He nearly snapped my tail in half during last Friday's sparring match."
Sakura remembered that incident well since she was the one who had to heal him.
"Is he always like that, Uchiha-san?" Iida asked, adjusting his glasses. This was the twentieth pair he wore since he started training under Kakashi. That man had broken every single one of his previous ones, claiming that it wasn't his fault since Iida 'should've taken care of his things better'.
That man is truly inhuman, he thought. Even worse than Bakugou-kun. And that's saying a lot.
Before she could reply, Mina looked at something behind her and muttered, "Ohhhh no. Here comes the F-Bomb."
Sakura, who had been regaled with many stories about the students of 1-A by Kakashi, knew exactly who she was talking about.
"Hey Bubblegum Bitch," Bakugou snarled as he stomped towards her table. Sakura turned around in her seat and was met by his vicious glare.
Oh my god. He looks like he's about to blow up.
Midoriya was trembling. "Ka-Kacchan, what are youβ"
"βI wasn't talking to you, Deku," he growled, his red eyes never leaving her green ones. "Is it true that your that old man's previous student?"
Sakura nodded slowly. "Yes... Why are you asking?"
"That rat bastard had a few words to say about you. Spoke about you as if you piss rose water and shit gold." He spat. "And according to him, you're the one thing getting in my way of being number one."
Sakura was acutely aware of how silent the cafeteria became and she soon became nervous. Please be quiet, she mentally begged. I'm already getting unwanted attention from my classmates, don't do this to me, oh my god, please.
Then he grabbed her by the tie and all his classmates started to protest immediately.
"O-oi, Bakugou, chill out!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Bakugou-kun, behaving violently against a fellow student will result in severe consequences!" Iida scolded.
But he wasn't listening. Instead, he continued to glare intensely at her, their faces inches apart. She could practically smell that extra spicy mabu tofu he had for lunch.
"I'm not gonna lose to some gen ed nobody!" He spat at her face. "You got that, pink-shit?! You get in my way, and I'll fucking destroy you!"
"Kacchan, that's enough!" Midoriya cried out when a shadow suddenly fell over all of them.
The air turned tense as Kakashi's figure loomed above Bakugou from behind. Sakura sighed heavily whereas the other kids started to shake save for Bakugou who was gritting his teeth.
"Bakugou," Kakashi said in an all too calm voice. "What do you think you're doing?"
Bakugou shoved her away and turned to face him bravely. "Just giving her my own declaration of war."
"How cute," he said with a mocking smile. "But I'd appreciate it if you keep your hands off of Sakura. Don't do that again, Bakugou."
The blonde shoved his hands in his pockets, looking perfectly calm given the dangerous situation he was. "Got it, sensei."
"In the meanwhile, you'll be serving detention with me after school." Kakashi promised with a glint in his eyes.
"Fine." He grumbled.
Kakashi smiled. "Wonderful. Now go away. I'll deal with you later."
As Bakugou stormed out, Sakura crossed her arms and turned to her old teacher. "That wasn't necessary."
He just patted her affectionately on the head, an action that was noticed by the students surrounding her table. "Maa, maa, Sakura-chan, I just wanted to help you out. Bakagou looked like he was getting pushy. Anyways, you enjoy your meal. I'll take my leave now."
He disappeared with a poof. The other kids stared at the spot he once stood, with one thought in mind:
She really is his favorite...
ββββββ’~βπΈβ~β’βββββ
Bakugou's very public declaration of war and Kakashi's defense for her did more harm than good. Her class had gone to giving her the cold shoulder, to outright declaring war on her as well. They even had the audacity to gang up on her by the time the last bell rang and Chibana had left.
"How come you know the hero class's substitute?" Togeike demanded, her hands clenched over the rosette's desk. "Kissing up already?"
"We live together," she answered tiresomely, refraining the urge to add 'moron' at the end of her sentence. "He's my guardian."
The class stood in dumb silence for only three seconds before moving on. "And that blonde guy?" Another student questioned. "He went on about how 'strong' you are. Is it true or was your guardian just over-inflating your ego?"
Sakura was beginning to really understand why these kids were still in school.
"You keep getting yourself involved with the hero course kids, just say you wanna be like them instead of acting like you're so above us!"
I could really use some sake now, she thought listlessly.
Togeike glared before she could say anything. "If you're really the Golden Girl the teachers keep gushing over than prove it."
"Guys," Shinsou sighed, looking just as tired as her. "Can we justβ"
"βDon't side with her now Shinsou, you agree with us too!" Agoyamato exclaimed.
Shinsou bit the inside of his cheek. For once, his classmates were actually including him in something. Though he wasn't very happy that they were including him in something like this. He felt something bitter in his chest. They used to avoid talking to him ever since they realized the nature of his villainous Quirk, and now here they were freely talking to him because they had another scapegoat to pick on.
She doesn't want to be a hero, he remembered her words. And even she did, he and the others had no right to treat her like this. He understood that now. But he was too blinded by his petty jealousy to get it. She had a perfect Quirk and had all these connections to the hero course, was involved with them and even went through a villain attack with them.
He glanced over at the pink haired girl and noticed the irritation slowly cracking her usually neutral exterior. She's getting angry, he realized.
And he was right. Sakura's excellent patience was beginning to snap with these children now. It reminded her of all those times in the Academy. Education-wise, she was a genius and she knew it. But when it came to real shinobi skill, she knew she was severely lacking.
Do I really want to be looked down on again? This was her second chance at school (though it wasn't really a chance that she particularly needed), did she really want to relive her first time? With everyone looking down on her for being weak?
Because she wasn't weak. Not anymore at least. Previously, she didn't care about the Sports Festival, initially aiming to just laze on by. But now... with all these people mocking her, challenging her, and looking down on her... It made her want to succeed.
With gritted teeth she came to a decision. She grabbed her things and rose to her feet, everyone backing away slightly at the carefully mild Killing Intent she was leaking out.
"You know what? Before all this, I didn't really give a damn about this stupid Sports Festival, but now you've really riled me up." She grinned wickedly. "Neither of you deserve to be heroes with your terrible attitudes. So now I'm going to snatch the chance from you all and get first place purely out of spite. I hope you're happy with what you've done."
And with that, she shoved everyone out of her way and left the room.
They want the Golden Girl? Fine. Then I'll give them the Golden Girl.
β author's note β
Yeah Sakura's a major threat to everyone in the sports festival, but she wasn't planning on being one until certain people (Bakugou and her classmates) started pissing her off lol. Damn, everyone should've just left her alone and things would've been fine but noooo they just had to incur her wrath π
Press F to pay respects to class 1-C's hopes and dreams. Sakura's not interested in getting into the hero course, she's just aiming for the win purely out of spite lol
And don't worry about Shinsou. No matter the result, Shinsou will still get noticed by Aizawa and train under him.
