Rocket was shooting at a Leviathan that was flying at him. Rocket covered himself, but the Leviathan turned to dust just before it ate him.

Thanos's army was disappearing.

Steve looked around and smiles in relief, but then he looked at a certain direction, and his smile faded quickly, realizing what had actually happened.

Meanwhile

Thanos was looking around in shock as ALL of his forces disintegrated into nothing.

He felt himself fade away as he sat down and embraced death like an old friend as he vanished.

Thanos is now no more.

Meanwhile

Tony, weak and with his right side completely scorched, sat down on the floor and leaned against a piece of rubble.

Rhodey landed in front of Tony and retracted his helmet as he checked on Tony. He started shedding tears, knowing what's about to happen.

Peter swung in and saw Tony.

Peter: Mr. Stark?

Rhodey backed away as Peter knelt down in front of Tony.

Peter: (tearfully) Hey. Mr. Stark, can you hear me? It's Peter...We won, Mr. Stark...We won, Mr. Stark...We won, you did it, sir.

Gwen swung in and pulled Peter away as he cried into her shoulder.

Aaron walked up to Tony and knelt down in front of him with tears in his eyes.

Aaron carefully put his right hand on Tony's left shoulder.

Aaron: (tearfully) Tony...

Tony smiled softly when he heard that. That was the first time Aaron referred to him by his first name in 7 years.

Aaron didn't want Tony to die thinking he's resented him. He didn't deserve it, especially after what he did.

So Aaron said 3 words. 3 simple words that Aaron meant with all his heart, and that would forever put Tony's soul in peace.

Aaron: (tearfully) I forgive you.

Tony smiled softly, and so did Aaron as he got up and let Pepper kneel down to him.

Pepper: Hey.

Tony: (weakly) Hey, Pep...

Pepper put her hand on Tony's arc reactor, and he hit his hand over hers.

Pepper: FRIDAY?

FRIDAY: Life functions critical.

Pepper started to shed tears, but tried to hold them back for Tony's back.

Pepper: Tony...Look at me.

Tony looks at Pepper.

Pepper: We're gonna be okay...You can rest now.

Tony, now fully at ease, lets out his final breath as his arc reactor shuts off.

Tony Stark is dead.

Everyone was saddened to see Tony die in front of them.

Pepper tearfully kisses Tony's cheek as she cries on his corpse.

He never had any special abilities, like Aaron.

He was simply a normal human, and he was the one who made the sacrifice play for the entire universe.

Aaron, Bobbi, Gwen, and Jimmy went to Mia's house as Aaron knocked on the door.

The door opened as Mia saw them.

Aaron immediately went to hug her tightly, while she did the same.

Mia gestured Bobbi, Gwen, and Jimmy to join in, which they did, getting into a group hug.

Clint's Farmhouse

The quinjet landed just outside Clint's farmhouse.

The ramp opened and Clint exited the jet as his kids ran up to him.

Clint hugged Lila, and then Cooper. He then knelt down to hug Nathaniel.

He saw his wife, Laura, walk up to him. They meet halfway and kiss.

Queens, New York City

Peter had just entered Midtown High, along with other students that were Blipped.

He looked around and saw his best friend, Ned Leeds, walking towards him.

The two did their handshake before hugging each other.

San Francisco, California

Scott, his teenage daughter Cassie(who wasn't Blipped), and Hope sat on the front porch watching the fireworks go off in the night sky.

Wakanda

T'Challa, along with his sister Shuri and their mother Ramonda, watched the celebration from the balcony.

Tony's Cabin

At Tony's funeral, everyone attended.

The Avengers.
The Guardian of the Galaxy.
The Wakandan royal family.

Harley Keener, a kid Tony helped in Tennessee.

Pepper, Morgan, Happy, and Rhodey tearfully sat in the living room of the cabin, watching a hologram that Tony recorded the night before the Time Heist.

Tony: Everybody wants a happy ending, right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time. I'm hoping if you play this back...it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we...get it back, and somewhat like a normal version of the planet has been restored...if there ever was such a thing. God, what a world. Universe, now. If you told me 10 years that we weren't alone in the universe, let alone to this extent, I wouldn't be surprised, but come on! The epic forces of darkness and light that have come into play. And for better or worse, that's the reality Morgan's gonna find her way to grow up in. So I thought I'd probably better record a little greeting in the case of an untimely death on my part. I mean, I think death at any time isn't timely. This time travel thing that we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's got me scratching my head about the survivability of it all, that's the thing. But again, that's the hero gig, hm? Part of the journey is the end. (gets up) What am I even tripping for? Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to.

The hologram of Tony goes to shut off the recording, but he looked at a certain direction before doing so. It looked like the hologram was looking at Morgan.

Tony: I love you 3000.

The hologram shuts off.

Clint and Wanda stood by the river bank.

Clint: You know, I wish there was a way that I can let her know...that we won. We did it

Wanda knew that Clint was talking about Natasha.

Wanda: She knows...the three of them do.

Clint knew that Wanda was talking about Vision and Pietro as he pulled he into a side-hug.

Unbeknownst to either of them, Aaron was standing nearby, watching them.

He couldn't bring himself to face Wanda, not when he's the reason she's lost her brother.

Just like he knew he couldn't face Yelena. He knew how much She loved Pietro, and how much he loved her. How could he ever face Yelena, knowing that he's the reason the love of her life died?

Aaron sighed before turning around and walking away.

Timeskip

A few days after the funeral, Aaron got himself checked up by Bruce and Strange, hoping to find a way to get his speed back.

Turns out, there is still a very minuscule portion of his speed left dormant in his body. If he can trigger it, he could fully restore his speed.

But the chances of that ever happening aren't in Aaron's favor at all.

Odds of the Avengers defeating Thanos: 14,000,605 to 1.
Odds of Aaron ever getting his speed back: 17,372,032,009,201 to 1.

Aaron dropped the idea of trying to get his speed back immediately after hearing that.

Besides, he's been The Flash for 14 years. He's earned retirement. Bobbi decided to retire with him so that they can live a normal-ish life together.

So the last thing he would do as both an Avenger and The Flash was help Steve return the Infinity Stones to the past.

Aaron, Steve, Bruce (his right arm is in a sling), Sam, and Bucky.

Aaron opened the briefcase containing the Stones and showed them to Steve.

Aaron: Alright, Cap, remember. You have to return each Stone to the exact moment when they were taken, or you might end up creating a bunch of nasty alternative realities.

Steve: Don't worry, Aaron. Clip all the branches.

He closed the briefcase.

Bruce: I tried. When I had the gauntlet and the Stones, I really tried to bring her back. I miss her, guys.

Steve and Aaron both knew that Bruce was talking about Natasha.

Steve: Me too.

Aaron: (sighs) So do I. We all do.

Steve: (turns to Aaron and pats his shoulder) Good luck with retirement.

Aaron: (chuckles) Thanks, Cap.

Steve walks towards the smaller version of the quantum tunnel (which had Mjölnir sitting in the middle of it) as Sam walked up to him.

Sam: You know, if you want, I could come with you.

Steve: You're a good man, Sam. This one's on me, though.

He then walked up to Bucky.

Steve: Don't do anything stupid till I get back.

Bucky: (chuckles) How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you.

Steve and Bucky hugged before separating.

Bucky: I'm gonna miss you, buddy.

Steve: It's gonna be okay, Buck.

Steve walked to the platform as Bruce and Aaron activated it. Steve's time travel suit formed around his body.

Sam: (to Bruce and Aaron) How long is this gonna take?

Bruce: For him, as long as he needs. For us, 5 seconds.

Steve picked up Mjölnir as he prepared to go back in time.

Aaron: (to Steve) Ready, Cap? We'll meet you right here when you get back, okay?

Steve: You bet

A helmet formed around Steve's head.

Aaron: Going quantum in 3...2...1.

Steve shrank as he went into the quantum tunnel.

Aaron: Return in 5...4...3...2...1.

He flicked a switch, expecting Steve to show up...But he didn't.

Everyone (except Bucky, for some reason) was confused as Aaron and Bruce checked to see what happened.

Aaron: The hell?

Sam: Where is he?

Bruce: We don't know, he blew right by his time stamp. He should be here.

Sam: Well, get him back.

Bruce: We're trying.

Sam: Get him the hell back!

Aaron: Dude, your yelling is not helping! We're doing-

Bucky: Sam.

Everyone's (except Bruce's) attention turned to Bucky, who seemed to be staring at something.

Aaron: (to Bruce) Give me a minute, Bruce.

Bruce was too distracted to respond as Aaron and Sam walked up next to Bucky to see what he was looking at.

It was an old man sitting on a bench with a large old bag next to him.

Bruce looked up and saw the old man, too.

Sam walked up to the old man as the two of the had a conversation.

During that conversation, the old man opened the bag next to reveal...Steve's shield?

Aaron widens his eyes in shock as he looked on. How did the old man the shield? It was broken in half as well, so how did he get it fixed?

The old man gave the shield to Sam as they shook hands. Sam walked back to Aaron and Bucky.

Sam: (to Aaron) He wants to talk to you, Aaron.

Aaron was confused as he walked up to the old man. When he saw the man's face, he immediately recognized him.

Aaron: Steve?

Steve: Hey, Aaron.

Aaron was confused as to why Steve looked like a proper WW2 veteran, but then he remembered a conversation he and Steve had almost 9 years ago.

2014
After Camp Lehigh was destroyed by HYDRA

Aaron: Can I ask you something?

Steve: Sure.

Aaron: If you have a chance to take it all back, live a life with Peggy, grow old, have a family of your own, would you take it?

Steve: ...Yeah. I'd take it.

Aaron: (nods) Okay.

Present day

Aaron: (smiles) You took that chance, didn't you?

Steve seemed to remember that conversation too.

Steve: Yeah, I took it. And I'm glad I did.

Aaron: (chuckles) Well, I'm happy for you, truly.

He sits down on the bench next to Steve.

Aaron: You made the right call.

Steve: What do you mean?

Aaron: Passing the torch to Sam. If it were my call, I would've picked him, too.

Steve: Yeah. You know, when I first heard about you, I was skeptical at first because of your age. I mean, a teenager like you shouldn't put himself at risk like that...But then I actually got to know you...Turns out, you were the best of us. You still are. You're someone a lot of people look up to, someone they would aspire to be. The world could really use more people like you.

Aaron: (smiles) This...this means a lot, Steve. Thank you.

Steve: You're welcome.

Aaron: Can I ask you something?

Steve: Sure.

Aaron: The whole family thing. Did you have a plan for that stuff, or did you just make it up as you went along?

Steve: (chuckles) That isn't really the kind of thing you make plans for.

Aaron: Okay. That's good to know.

He gets up and faces Steve.

Aaron: (puts his hand out) It's been an honor, Captain.

Steve: (shakes Aaron's hand) The honor is mine...Flash.

Aaron smiles as he leaves.

After everything was packed up, Aaron went to his car.

The Flash is no more, but this time Aaron would make the most of it.

Live a normal life, preferably with Bobbi. Maybe eve start a family with her.
