after an hour walking from the grassy path, they finally reached the seawall that surrounds the beach. the sea breeze hitting their skin felt refreshing under a hot weather—adding with a perfect view of the sparkling sunlight reflecting the ocean. "mitsuba is missing out, there's literally a lot of spots to take pictures." [name] chuckled while taking a shot of the ocean by the seawall.

"i bet everyone is looking forward to go here during the summer, thankfully we're the only ones here." amane uses his phone to take pictures of the sea. "the weather is nice and the scenery is pretty, i'm glad that i came along."

"i'm glad too." [name] lowered her camera to smile at amane.

"why don't we take a picture together, for remembrance, who knows when we'll come back here since you said that this is for a request." amane puts the camera to the front in a landscape mode. [name] stood close to amane, putting her fingers into a peace sign as her pose. they took like five pictures together, even throwing in silly faces and a couple poses.

"send it to my sns." [name] was happy that their picture together turned out well. amane took more pictures of the ocean as [name] stared at the horizon.

for some reason, looking across the ocean felt peaceful in a way. you can think of various scenarios, the memories you're fond of—even the things you find nostalgic. [name] would often find herself staring at the body of water from

[name] looked at amane while moving away a stray strand of hair from her face, he had his phone in front of her. "is there something the matter, amane-kun?" she tilted her head with the sweetest smile she could ever give to someone.

amane shook his head, a small blush appearing on both of his cheeks after snapping a photo of [name] in secret. "i'm just taking a picture because i saw something pretty..." he said smoothly.

"i see." [name] chuckled. "should we keep going to find the sunflower fields?" she asked gesturing to the path on where the beach is. "or do you want to go to the beach to take a look?"

"sure, let's go to the beach."

"waaahhh! it looks so pretty!" [name] scanned the whole area—there's no people in the beach so it's pretty much just her and amane. alone.

"the sand feels so soft..." amane sunk his toes against the cool part of the sand after he took off his shoes. [name] removed her sandals and went to the water to cool her feet—they didn't bring any extra clothing for swimming so they're stuck with dipping their feet into the water.

"hehe, the water feels cool." [name] lifted her skirt slightly to walk around, splashing droplets of water as she took a step. 'maybe splashing him won't hurt a bit...' [name] cupped her hands and scooped a bit of water as she sprinkled them at amane.

"[name]!" amane laughed as he rolled his pants up to join her to the water. the two started splashing each other for fun, as well as trying to chase one another. both of their laughs collided together into a mellifluous tone.

they haven't found the sunflower fields yet, but somehow there was a self-discovery during that joyous moment that was shared between them.

are they really just bestfriends though? or are they just simply hiding their feelings to prevent ruining each other's friendship. no one can tell, but the way their actions show that they're crushing on each other. amane crept behind [name] and hugged her waist with a grin. "that was fun..." she smiled.

"yeah—it feels nice going out to the beach when you wanted to take a break from school work." amane puts his chin on top of her shoulder while he stared at the sparkling ocean beneath the afternoon sun. "oh by the way, is there an abandoned railway around here?"

"i think i saw a railway from the photobook that i borrowed yesterday." [name] replied in certainty—so maybe they have to go there in order for them to find the sunflower fields. "let's try to go south by the oceanside to see if we could find it."

"despite not knowing where we're going we sure do find interesting places when we're searching for the fields." amane was a bit disappointed that he had to remove his arms around her for [name] to put on her sandals to continue their search.

[name] shrugged her shoulders and smiled at amane that made his heart skip a beat. "i agree, we took a lot of photos on our way here." after they have finished putting their shoes on and grabbing their stuffs, they went back to the seawalls—to the direction of the abandoned railway.
