"wow... an abandoned station in the middle of the forest..." it felt like time had stopped at this moment. the trees continued to grow but the railway remained the same, probably has been decades since it's relevance.
"i remembered that this is from the photobook, maybe this abandoned station could lead to the field of sunflowers." amane hypothesized. he is correct for relying on his intuition. the abandoned railway gave them both a mysterious and eerie vibe.
almost as if they were in a horror movie. seeing how dark the tunnel is made [name] shiver in fear. ivy vines grew around the tunnel entrance. wonder where this thing leads to? it's dim and dark and you can't really tell what's in there. "we should go check inside to see if there's something in there, would that be alright?" [name] asked.
"considering that this tunnel reminds me of a supernatural fantasy setting, i'm quite intrigued to see where the tunnel leads to." amane and [name] headed into the dark tunnel. the sound of dripping water from above as it echoes throughout the hollows, and the air feels dampโprobably because of the water vapor.
"i'm lowkey starting to regret this, apparently there was a rumor that there's a ghost lurking around this area..." [name] timidly stood closer to amane, tugging on to the sleeve of his shirt in fear. amane slightly flinched when she hugged his arm when they reached the middle point of the tunnel. his eyes widened a bit but he softened against her and smiled fondly.
"don't worry, i'll protect you." amane reassured, wrapping an arm around [name] to hold her close. [name] liked their closenessโshe used to be so scared of the sound of thunder when amane stayed inside her house during the rain, luckily for the choppy haired boy, he wrapped his arms around her while whispering comforting words to her ear.
amane's heart melted at the way she's clinging on to him when she's scared. it was [name]'s idea to go into the tunnel anyways yet she was scared, amane thought she was adorable. good thing it was dark so no one can see how red their faces are. "[name], there's something i've been wanting to tell you."
"what is it?"
"that iโ"
clang!
"eek!" [name] shrieked at the sudden clanging sound. amane accidentally hugged her out of fear as he squeezed his eyes shut. she nervously glanced up to amane. "we should head to the exit..." she said with a shaky voice. the sound actually came from the railway when amane's shoes suddenly collided to the metal.
"i can see the other end of the tunnel, which is full of trees... and grass." [name] deadpanned. so much for searching for the sunflower fields, besides it's already lunch time and they're getting hungry anyways. it's a good thing that they went to the end of the tunnel because somehow [name] spotted the items in the area from the photo bookโsuch as the charcoal furnace with a wind vane and the pond full of lilies. "whoa amane-kun, i think we're near the sunflower fields."
"shouldn't we stop by to eat our lunch first?" amane requested as he pointed at an open area where a row of windmills can be seen at the distance. "we've been walking for who knows how long but i'm getting kind of hungry now."
"sure, let's have a picnic together." [name] excitedly rummaged through her bag and pulled out a blue checkered blanket for them to sit on as they are eating.
