"Now that lunch is over, it's finally time to reveal the last game! But before that, there's good news for all of you who didn't make it to the finals! This is just a sports festival! So, we've prepared recreational games that everyone can participate in, too! We've even brought real cheerleaders from America to liven things up! Huh?! What's the matter, Class A? What kind of fan service is that?"
They'd been fooled. "Mineta-San! Kaminari-San! You tricked us, didn't you?!" Yaoyorozu shouted angrily, though, she wasn't too upset by their trickery. Her black hues glanced over Kourin's body, she felt ashamed for doing so, but she simply couldn't help it.
A tired sigh escaped the brunette's lips, "how troublesome. I just did as you all told me to.."
Yaoyorozu dropped to her knees in defeat, "why am I always caught up in Mineta-San's schemes? I even used my quirk to make the outfits.."
"Those guys are so dumb!" Jirou threw the pompoms to the ground, a light pink hue covering her cheeks. Even so, she couldn't deny that a certain brunette looked good, sporting the cheerleading outfit.
"Well, there's still time before the finals, and it'd be a pain if things got tense. It's fine! Let's do it!" Hagakure said, waving the yellow pompoms around excitedly.
"Toru-Chan, you like this, huh?" Asui looked over to the excited invisible girl.
Todoroki didn't condone this sort of perverted behaviour, but, she did look good. The corners of his lips twitched up into a small smile as his heterochromatic hues raked over her body, and though she had a stoic expression on her face, he noticed that her face was flushed ever so slightly. How positively adorable.
Bakugo on the other hand, wasn't so discrete. He openly eyed her up and down, his cheeks flushed, inappropriate thoughts ran through his head. Why the fuck are you so adorably sexy, Kou?! Fucking shitty weird eyes, tch.
Shinsou had only glanced at her for a moment, but seeing her in such an outfit put notions in his head. Notions he didn't want to think about, not yet. Wow.
Kourin was painfully unaware of all the eyes that were on her, her mind filled with thoughts on the last part of the sports festival. She felt tired, but she'd gotten two days of sleep just so she could do her very best.
"All right, everyone! Let's have fun competing in the recreation games! When that's over, the sixteen from the four teams that made it to the final round will duke it out tournament style, one on one!"
"The last round is a tournament where we fight one on one, huh?" Kirishima's eyes twinkled with excitement at the thought. "I'm gonna stand on the stage that I watch every year on TV!"
"Was it a tournament last year?" Ashido asked.
Sero grinned enthusiastically, "it's different every year, but there's a one on one competition every year. Last year, it was a sports chanbara match."
"Now, let's draw lots to determine the bracket." Midnight held a box in her hand labelled lots. "Once the bracket is determined, we'll have the recreational games and then start! The sixteen finalists can choose whether or not they want to participate in the recreation. I'm sure some of you want to rest or save your strength. Now, from the first place tea—"
"Um, excuse me." Ojiro raised his hand, his brows furrowed. "I'm withdrawing." Everyone gasped at what he'd said. Passing on an opportunity like this seemed like a waste to everyone that'd heard him.
"Ojiro-Kun, why?" Midoriya looked shocked.
"This is a rare chance for pros to see you!" Iida reasoned.
"I barely remember anything from the cavalry battle until almost the end. I think it was that guy's quirk," he trailed off, looking at his palm. "I know that this is a great chance, and that it's foolish to waste it.. but, everyone here competed by giving their all! I can't... I can't be up there with everyone without knowing what really happened."
Hearing his outburst, the brunette felt somewhat guilty. Maybe if I'd just asked him nicely he would've joined.
"You're worrying about it too much! You should just make sure you produce results in the final!" Hagakure said, trying to cheer him up.
"If you're gonna say that, I didn't do anything either." Ashido added.
Ojiro covered his face with his hand. "That's not it... I'm talking about my pride here.. I can't.. Also, why are you guys wearing cheerleader outfits?" He asked, causing the girls to sweat drop.
"I'm Nirengeki Shoda from Class B," he stepped forwards, gaining Midnight's attention. "I also want to withdraw for the same reason. Regardless of ability, don't you think it goes against the goal of this sports festival for those who didn't do anything to move onto the final round?"
"What's with these guys?! Kou!" Kirishima said, tears in his eyes and with fists clencehed, "they're so manly!"
She patted the red haired boy's shoulder, "very manly."
Everyone looked to the umpire, Midnight, since it would ultimately be her decision. "Youthful talk like this is something... I like! Shoda! Ojiro! I accept your withdrawal! In that case, we'll have to move up two people from the fifth place cavalry battle team.."
"If that's what's going to happen, then rather than us, who barely did anything during the cavalry battle, it should be them, right?" Kendo looked to her team who nodded in agreement, "the ones who fought to the end and stayed in the top Team Tetsutetsu, right? This isn't collusion or anything. It just makes sense." Said team was beyond grateful.
"And so, Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki have moved up to make sixteen! This is the bracket based on the results of the drawing!" She pointed her whip to the screen once more.
⠀⠀1. Midoriya VS Shinsou
⠀⠀2. Todoroki VS Sero
⠀⠀3. Kaminari VS Shiozaki
⠀⠀4. Iida VS Hastume
⠀⠀5. Yagami VS Ashido
⠀⠀6. Tokoyami VS Yaoyorozu
⠀⠀7. Kirishima VS Tetsutetsu
⠀⠀8. Bakugo VS Uraraka
I'm up against Koucchan, huh? Ashido gulped merely at the thought, silently gazing at the stoic brunette.
Kourin could already tell that the pink skinned girl was nervous and so she turned to face her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Mina, let's do our best. No hard feelings, right?" She said, giving her a warm smile.
Her worries instantly melted when a smile graced her features. "Right!"
"Koucchan!" Uraraka whispered loudly, running into her arms. "I'm up against Baku—"
"Hot head, huh? Do your best, Ocha, and you'll be fine. But, I'm telling you now, that idiot doesn't go easy on anyone. He's one hundred percent all the time, so I suggest you do the same." Kourin placed a hand on her head. "Good luck."
"All right! Let's leave the tournament aside for a momentary interlude! Let's have fun with the recreation!"
With her hands in her pockets, she left the stadium. She wanted to get some sleep before the tournament started, but she was already so out of it that she'd bumped into someone when she turned a corner. She expected an impact, but it never came. Instead, her eyes wandered up to cold turquoise eyes. "Endeavour.." He'd managed to catch her before she fell.
He removed his fingers from around her wrist and cleared his throat. "Kourin. I haven't seen you in awhile. Years. I see you have your mother's quirk.. I saw you with Shouto before. You're getting close again, aren't you?" There was an opportunistic glint in his eyes. "I don't know if you've noticed, but, that boy's been going through a rebellious stage. He doesn't listen to me at all." She wasn't surprised. "I'm sure he'll listen to you."
"N—"
"Kou." Todoroki called out and marched towards the pair, a fiercely cold glare featuring his face as he grabbed the brunette's wrist, pulling her behind him. "Stay away from her."
"Shouto, stop this... this phase of yours. You'd be able to do so much better if you'd use what was given to you." Endeavour said, his voice gruff and commanding.
Gritting his teeth, he shot the pro hero one last glare before striding away from his father, once they were far enough, which was practically out of the building, he stopped and his hands dropped to his side. "What... what did he say?"
"Nothing much, hasn't seen me in awhile, y'know.." Kourin trailed off and ran her fingers through her brown locks. "I think he was insinuating a quirk marriage, I could be wrong.. He also wants me to talk to you, probably to control you, but I can't control you.. Only you can," she grabbed his hand and gave it a firm squeeze. "I'm here for you Sho."

"Hey guys, are you ready?! A lot's happened, but it's now come to this! A serious battle! Even if you're not a hero, you'll face lots of situations like that! You get it, right?! Heart, skill, body, wisdom and knowledge! Use all of that to rush up!"
Kourin made sure to wish luck to both Midoriya and Shinsou before she made her way up to the viewing area with the rest of her class. She made her way down the steps, her eyes glazing over her class before she chose a seat in the front row next to the red haired boy.
"Where were you, Koucchan?" Kirishima asked.
"Wishing my friends good luck," she mumbled and focused on the empty stage in front of her.
Bakugo's crimson eyes widened when he remembered what she'd done to him on the day of the entrance exams. "Eh?! You fucking kissed that extra and Deku?!" He stood up from his seat and glared at the brunette, he was anything but angry, he was sad, disappointed and jealous most of all.
Everyone turned to face her, their mouths agape. "On the cheek, Bakago. Why're you getting so jealous?" Her lips curved up into a teasing smile as she glanced behind her.
"Shut the fuck up! Shitty nerd," he mumbled with a huff and plopped back down to his seat beside Kaminari, relieved at the new information that was given to him.
"The finals that you've all been waiting for are finally starting! Match number one! Even though he's done well, what's with that face? From the hero course, it's Izuku Midoriya! Versus! Sorry, he hasn't done anything to stand out yet! From general studies, it's Hitoshi Shinsou! The rules are simple. Force your opponent out of bounds or immobilise them! You can also win by making your opponent say, I give up! Bring on the injuries! Because we've got our very own Recovery Girl waiting on standby! Put your morals and ethics aside for a moment! But of course, anything life threatening is crap! It's not allowed! Heroes should only use their fists to catch villains! Ready?! Start!"
Even though the match had started, neither one had began moving. It looked like they were conversing, Kourin knew that Shinsou's quirk relied on words and that he needed to agitate Midoriya for him to claim the victory. She was torn on the inside, she wanted to cheer for both of them, for completely different reasons. They both deserved a win, but only one would triumph in the end. She leaned back into her seat and listened in on the speakers to hear what they were saying. Toshi, Izu..
"This is a fight to test the strength of your spirit. If you know what you want for your future, then you can't worry about appearances. That monkey was going on about his pride... but don't you think he was dumb for throwing away his chance?" He maintained his composure, hoping to get a rise from the green haired boy. I'm going to win. For me. For her.
Gritting his teeth, he ran at the indigo haired boy. "What did you say?!" He'd only taken a few steps forward before he suddenly stopped.
Shinsou's lips curved up into a smirk. "I win."
A picnicked shout escaped Ojiro's lips as he suddenly stood up. "I went through the trouble of warning him, too!"
"That's Izu for you, he doesn't like it when his friends are insulted." Kourin mumbled, folding her arms.
"Hey, hey, what's the matter? It's the important first match! Liven things up! Midoriya! The match just started... and he's completely frozen?! He's got a blank look on his face and isn't moving a muscle! Is this Shinsou's quirk?! He didn't stand out at all, but could he actually be someone amazing?!"
Her heterochromatic hues landed on the frozen green haired boy and she noticed that his usual green eyes were now white. She really didn't know who to root for. A frustrated groan escaped her lips as she ran her fingers through his hair. If one wins and the other doesn't I'm gonna fucking feel bad.
"Hitoshi Shinsou from general studies has gotten the better of Izuku Midoriya from the hero course! Who would've imagined this?! Will the bottom really overthrow the top?"
"You're lucky that you've been blessed, Izuku Midoriya. Turn around and walk out of bounds," he ordered and the boy had no choice but to comply.
"Eh? WHAT?! Midoriya's being so obedient!"
"Deku-Kun, why?" Uraraka mumbled worriedly.
"If you go out of bounds, then you'll lose the match!" Iida shouted, waving his hands around.
Kourin balled up her hands into fists as she watched in anticipation. She wanted Shinsou to win, but at the same time, she wanted Midoriya to break out of his trance and claim the victory. She knew that both boys had a rough past, which is why she couldn't decide. Cheering for Midoriya would evidently make the indigo haired boy sad whilst cheering for Shinsou would make the green haired boy dejected. This isn't fucking fair.
"You probably don't understand, but, even with a quirk like this, I have my own dream. I have someone who believes in me," he glanced up to the stoic brunette watching his match. "I'll win for her. Now, lose for me."
A large gust of wind enveloped the stadium, causing everyone to shield their eyes. Once the dust settled, it showed that the green haired boy had stopped just before he was out of bounds. He'd broken free from indigo haired male's quirk.
"This is... Midoriya's stopped!"
"That's crazy.." Ojiro sat back down and placed a hand over his erratically beating heart.
"Why?" Shinsou gritted his teeth as he balled up his fists. "You shouldn't be able to move freely! What did you do?" Midoriya covered his mouth to prevent himself from answering him. "What did you do?! Say something." When the green haired boy didn't answer, he continued to speak. "You can produce that much power just by moving your fingers? I'm jealous. Thanks to my quirk, I've been behind from the start. Someone who's been blessed like you can't understand, can you?!"
Toshi.. Izu understands more than anyone. She could feel their emotions from all the way where she was. The sadness and desperation, it really hurt her.
"Someone like you who was born with the ideal quirk!" He shouted at the boy who was running towards him. "Someone who can reach your goal!" Midoriya grabbed the indigo haired boy's shoulders and started to push him towards the white line that signified what was out of bounds. "Say something!" His fist connected with the green haired boy's face, trying desperately to refrain from being knocked out of the ring. I have to win. I have to! Otherwise, she'll have believed in me for nothing. But his opponent kept on pushing. They were both moving closer and closer to the white line, it was an intensely normal battle. Not wanting to lose, he punched Izuku's already broken fingers, which caused him to halt. "You've got to be kidding!" Turning around, Hitoshi's hands made contact with his face as he tried to push him out, "you get out!"
Kourin sat at the edge of her seat as she leaned over the railings, watching as her two friends fought. C'mon.
In a turn of events, Midoriya grabbed his collar and his arm, just as he was about to get knocked out and flipped Shinsou over his shoulder, slamming him to the ground. A silence enveloped the stadium once the winner was determined.
"Shinso-Kun is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to round two!" Midnight announced and the crowd erupted in cheers.
"In the finals, the first person to advance to the second round is Izuku Midoriya from Class A! Yahoo! That was kind of a boring first match, but we should praise them both for a bravely fought match! Clap your hands!"
Kourin stood up and without saying a word to anyone, she made her way down the stairs to where the halls were interconnected. When her heterochromatic eyes landed on the indigo haired roaming the halls, a small smile graced her lips as she tackled him into a hug. "You were amazing Toshi."
"I'm sorry I didn't win.. You believed in me for no—"
"Shut up, baka. There's always next year, I heard some of the pro heroes talking and they were impressed with you! At this rate, you might be transferred to Class 1-B, or even, my class," she pulled away from him, sighing softly when she saw tears welling up in his eyes. "Ara, what's this? You're usually stoic.." She wiped the tears brimming at his eyes. "My beliefs aren't misplaced, I know you'll be a hero."
"Kou," he mumbled, leaning into her touch. "Thank you."
"I wanted to cheer for you, but, Izu is also my friend. I couldn't cheer for either of you, I'd feel bad.." She told him, rubbing the back of her neck. After exchanging a few more words, they both parted their separate ways and when she arrived back at the viewing area, everyone craned their heads towards her in expectation. "What?"
Uraraka smiled innocently, "where'd you go Koucchan?"
"Uh, to Hitoshi, wh—"
"Already on a first name basis? That's sly, Koucchan! Very manly!" Kirishima grinned, his lips curving up into a teasing smile.
"I knew him from awhile back, he's a good friend." Kourin simply shrugged and brushed off their assumptions. "And, as far as I know I'm on a first name basis with all of you. What're you going to say about that?"
"Did you kiss both of them good luck?" Kaminari asked, trying to suppress the jealousy in his voice.
"Yes..? Only on the cheek, as I said. Do you all want one before your matches too?" She asked jokingly, but the looks on their faces were serious prompting a light pink hue to cover her cheeks. "Whatever, I guess." Bakugo was jealous, of course he'd be. One thing that kept him calm was the fact that as far as he knew, he was the only that'd kissed her on the lips so far.
Or so he thought.
Sero stood up, a nervous sigh escaping his mouth. "I'm up next, against Todoroki. Where is he anyways?"
"I saw him in the waiting room, he'll probably meet you down there. Good luck, Hanta." Her lips made contact with his cheek before she took a seat beside the red haired boy. "Let's see how this plays out."
"Deku-Kun!" Uraraka called out, waving over to the green haired boy. "Good work!"
"We saved a seat for you!" Iida pointed to the empty seat beside him.
"Izu," she called out. "I'm proud of you."
