97.

The following morning approached and I was more than ready to get discharged from the hospital. And the best part is, Chloe won't have any idea that I'm returning back home because in less than an hour, I should be stepping through the front door.

I said my goodbyes to the one nurse who didn't allow me to lay down the entire time and sped up my recovery process. Without her, I'd still be laying in the hospital bed and struggling. It turned out that my ribs weren't fully broken and fucked up like they claimed it to be. Which was incredible news, nonetheless.

While sliding into my one pair of Air Jordan shoes and tying my hair back into a bun, I was more than ready to leave this hospital for the first time in nearly a week or two. I left the hospital room and walked over to the front office to inform them that I was ready to be discharged.

"Hello, sir. What's your name?"

"I'm Joe Anoa'i and I'm ready to be discharged."

"Alright, let's take a look."

The front office woman looked at her computer and dismissed me from the hospital after being fully healed once again. After I left the hospital, I found an Uber that wasn't far from me and I could make it back to my house before it was time for Chloe to come and visit me.

Chloe
I woke up in the bed and noticed that a figure was approaching my bedroom. While I turned my head back out of curiousity, it was Josh; and he looked concerned in his facial expression.

"Hey, Good morning." He paused, "I didn't wanna scare you by coming in here so suddenly, but I'm just worried about you, Uce."

"Morning Josh, and how come?"

"I'm just worried about my cousin and you because he's still in the hospital and we don't know when he's coming out right now. And it's gonna be awhile until my brothers and I head back on the road for WWE. So I came in here to ask if I could watch over Alani if you needed some time to rest. I can tell being a mother isn't easy." He said, sitting at my bedside.

"If you'd want to, Josh. I don't see why not." I shrugged, "I mean, you're her uncle and she needs all the bonding that she can get with her family."

He smiled, "Yeah, you're right. I just know this situation is hard on you and Joe, and I wanna help out somehow."

"You already have, along with your brothers."

"Speaking of my brothers, they're in the kitchen making some breakfast. I just thought I could check up on you; although we all know you've gone through a lot, you know?"

"I understand." I warmly smiled, "You're the best."

"No, you are." He flashed a smile, "Come here."

I sat up from the bed and Josh reeled me into his embrace. He was the sweetest out of them all towards me. He walked me down the aisle at my wedding with Joe because my father passed away, Josh offered to help take care of my daughter, and he always checked up on me. He was amazing.

A few minutes passed and we both prepared to make our way down to the kitchen. But before I did, I heard my daughter beginning to cry out in her crib.

"Josh, I gotta take my daughter downstairs for breakfast."

"Alright. Has her teeth grown in or anything?"

I shook my head, "Nope, not yet. All I can really give her at this time is a warm bottle of milk since newborns to a few weeks old need all the nutrients that they can get before they grow a set of baby teeth."

"I understand, Uce." He says, "I'ma head downstairs and I'll get you a plate for breakfast." He paused, "Panikeke, right?"

"Yes, Josh. And maybe some Pani-Popo on the side, if that's alright?"

"Bet."

Josh walked downstairs and I went to check on Alani in her bedroom. Upon walking inside, she was screaming up a storm and missing Joe more than ever. Even I missed my husband, too.

"It's okay sweetheart. We're gonna visit Daddy soon and see how he's doing, alright?" I spoke quietly and held her in my embrace as we walked down the stairs together.

After we all got seated for breakfast, Jonathan served me some Panikeke and a lot of other Samoan dishes. I've grown to love Samoan food thanks to Joe.

"Here's some Panikeke and some Pani-Popo for you, Chloe." Jonathan said.

"Thank you so much. Good morning everyone!"

"Good morning, Chloe." Joseph says.

"I really hope that Joe's gonna be alright, guys." I say, taking a bite of Panikeke.

"I have a feeling he's gonna be okay, Uce. Just keep positive!" Josh replied.

While we continued to have breakfast and Alani had her warm bottle of milk, we heard a sudden knock on the door and it caught all of us by surprise.

"Coming!" I shouted.

I walked towards the front door with Josh following behind in attempt to keep me safe if this was a stranger. I opened the door and to my surprise, it was my husband standing right in front of me.

"Guess who's home, baby?"

"Babe!" I say, jumping into his embrace with my legs wrapping around his waist, "I thought you had to stay in the hospital for awhile longer because of your ribs?"

He shook his head, "Nah, I improved so much and I don't really think there was much damage to my ribs like the doctors were saying and I recovered quickly. I told you that I was coming back home to you and our daughter because I ain't going anywhere."

"I missed you so much, Joe." I say, reeling him into a hug.

"I missed you too, baby."

We shared a passionate kiss before escorting ourselves to the kitchen for breakfast.

"Hey Uce! You're finally out of the hospital!" Jonathan smiled, "Thankfully I have some extra food that I can put on the plate!"

"It's good to see you again, Uce." Josh said, reeling Joe into his embrace, "We were all missing you, man. You recovered so quickly!"

He flashed a smile, "It's gonna take a lot to get rid of me. I couldn't leave my whole family behind. I couldn't leave my cousins, my beautiful wife, or my daughter."

Alani noticed that her father had returned home and she screamed for him.

"I'm here sweetheart!" Joe said, bringing his daughter close to his shoulder, "I told you that Daddy's gonna be alright and guess what? We're going to Disneyland when I'm for certain that I'm back to my normal self." He smiled.

"Disneyland? I can't wait! I've always wanted to visit there." I say.

"Wish granted, baby."

"How did you recover so fast, Uce?" Joseph asked, "We heard it would've been weeks or months until you came back home."

"My nurse was the only one who wanted to help me get back on my own two feet like before. She knew I had a family that I wanted to come back home to. However, It was a struggle at first, but we took things day-by-day and she didn't stop. She helped me walk, jog, and everything was going well from there. Last night, I was back to walking like normal again and I wanted to surprise everyone." He flashed a smile, "And Chloe, I can't wait to be with you tonight."

"Me either." I smiled back.

"Alright Uce, that's a little too much information, now." Jonathan laughed.

While Joe and his cousins joked around for awhile and we all started to eat our breakfast, Emma had sent me a text and was still worried about Joe until I responded that he was back home. She was so excited to find out that he was finally discharged from the hospital and was coming over later this evening to see him after everything that had transpired awhile back.

Later the following evening, Emma swung open the door and she charged towards Joe and I with excitement in her face.

"Joe! I'm so happy that you're out of the hospital!" Emma said, "I swear that I was gonna come visit, but I never had the time because of my late night shifts at work. I'm so sorry!"

"Don't apologize! I'm doing a lot better than before." Joe paused, "Also, I just wanted to tell you that I'm taking Chloe and Alani to Disneyland as soon as I can." He smiled.

"Oh my gosh! I hope you three have so much fun!" She replied, "Also Joe, I know you're my best friends husband and all, but I just noticed that we never took a photo together after knowing each other for literally two-years!"

"Well, we can make that happen." He laughed.

"Alright, I'm about to take the photo." I flashed a smile, "Come on, smile!"

Joe and Emma proceeded to flash a smile and took the photo.

"I love this. My handsome husband and my best friend all in one photo!" I warmly smiled, "Two of the most important people in my life! Along with Joe's cousins, of course!"

"I was gonna say, you ain't gonna forget about us now, Uce." Jonathan and Josh said in sync before laughing.

"Aw, Chloe. You're so sweet!"

After hours had passed, everyone left for the night; including Joe's cousins, it was just us all alone inside of our master bedroom. Alani was asleep in her crib, and everything felt perfect once again for the first time in weeks.

"Hey baby."

"Hey, handsome."

Joe sat down at his side of the bed and flashed a smile, "Listen, I told you I wasn't going anywhere and I kept my word as always." He chuckled, "Tonight, everything will be back to normal from here."

"It already does."

He crooked a smile, "How so?"

I slowly lifted up his shirt and looked into his darkened eyes as his long, black hair began to cascade over his shoulders; he looked handsome and I needed him so much tonight. Ever since Alani was born, we haven't been able to do anything due to my healing process after giving birth. However, tonight was more than perfect. Joe was finally discharged from the hospital, Alani was peacefully asleep in her bedroom, and nobody was spending the night.

Joe broke me out of my sudden trance. I glanced down and was meszmerised by his chest with his tribalistic tattoos showing; although there was some slight scarring from his surgery, he still looked perfect to me. He scooped me up and placed me down on his lap, slowly licking his lips whilst continuing to gaze into my eyes.

"I see that look in your eyes baby. I think I know what you want right now."

"And what's that?" I asked, curving a smile; acting as if I was completely oblivious to what he was saying.

"You want me, don't you?" He flashed a smile, "Come here, baby. Show me how bad you've missed me and this dick." He said as his voice deepened.

And just like that, our night ended with extreme, passionate lovemaking between each other.
