Joe
Several weeks have passed and it was finally time to visit the local OB-GYN to find out what we were having. Excited, I threw on one of my casual outfits and before we headed out the door, I received a call from Hunter.

"Hey, Joe!"

"Hey, Hunter. What's up, man?"

"I heard about the news that you and Chloe are expecting a child together, and I just wanted to congratulate you both."

"That means a lot, Hunter. I don't want to ask this, but is it fine if I take a week off from the ring? I'll return next week. I wanted to find some clothes for the baby and we're hosting a baby shower soon if you and Stephanie would love to join us."

"We'd love to! And of course, Joe. You don't have to ask me twice if you need some time off. You're our biggest superstar in the business. Also, I'll have your cousins take over SmackDown for the time being. Do you two know what you're having?"

"Not just yet. We were actually about to head out to the OB-GYN to find out."

"I apologize for calling at the wrong time, Joe. I'll let you and Chloe head out and I'll talk to you soon."

After we hung up, I turned towards Chloe with a warm smile beginning to form around my face, "Ready to head out?"

"Yeah! Also, who was that?"

"Hunter. He gave me a week off from the ring and he said congratulations on the pregnancy."

"I appreciate him so much for not being strict with you, regardless of your schedule."

"Me too." I paused, "We should get going before we're late!"

We stepped into my Range Rover and drove over to the nearest OB-GYN in Toronto. It didn't take us both long to arrive to the place and we walked inside the building with the biggest smiles on our faces.

We stood at the receptionist desk and she turned back from her chair and noticed us standing there.

"I'm so sorry to keep you two waiting!"

"No worries."

"Mr. and Mrs. Anoa'i?"

"That's us." I flashed a smile.

"Oh, right! You both have an appointment for finding out the gender of your child. And before you guys head into the room, my daughter absolutely loves you, Roman."

I chuckled, "Tell her I said thanks for being a fan. I'll sign her something if you happen to have a piece of paper and a pen."

"You're in luck!" She says, "Abby is going to be so excited that I met her favorite wrestler."

"I love hearing that. Here, I'll sign her an autograph and a small message on the paper."

I started signing the mother an autograph for her daughter with a smile that reached ear-to-ear.

"Here you go, ma'am."

"Thank you so much, Roman. You're going to make my little girl's day so much."

"Anytime."

Chloe and I walked into the office and we were escorted into a private room just moments later. We were one of the first to arrive and make our way into our appointment.

"I'm Dr. Katherine and I'll be here to assist the two of you today."

"It's nice to meet you, Dr. Katherine!" We both said in unison.

"The pleasures all mine. But Mrs. Anoa'i, I'm gonna need you to sit in this chair and lay back. I'll be with you two momentarily."

She sat down and leaned back in the chair. We scanned around the room and there was monitors everywhere, the room was a little cold and crisp; it wasn't long until we were met with the doctor who had a smile on her face.

"I'm back!"

"Hey, Dr. Katherine."

"Hello! And are we finding out the gender of the baby today, or?"

"Yes ma'am." I nodded.

"Okay. I'm going to apply a cold cream on your stomach, Mrs. Anoa'i. This will help me see the baby on the ultrasound."

She applied the cream and had a little wand that she placed around Chloe's stomach. It wasn't a minute later until we seen our child appear on the small monitor.

"Here's your baby!" She exclaimed, "From what we see here, I'm not seeing any male genitalia on the screen, and I believe that you two are having a little girl!"

"A daughter." I smiled, "I'm gonna have to be protective over her once she's older."

The doctor continued to look with the wand and made a second confirmation that we were indeed having a daughter. I was more than excited to meet our daughter once she was born and it brought a warm smile to my face.

"She's so beautiful, Joe." Chloe says, entangling her hands into mine with emotional tears beginning to well-up in her eyes.

"I know baby."

"You two are without a doubt having a beautiful baby girl. Congratulations, and I wish you a very happy and healthy pregnancy, Mrs. Anoa'i."

"Thank you so much, Dr. Katherine."

After we walked out of the OB-GYN, we went inside of the car and sat in our seats without moving a muscle. We were so thrilled to know that our first baby; was in fact, a little girl.

"I can't believe it, Chloe." I flashed a smile, "Looks like we're gonna be having ourselves a girl. What do you wanna name her?"

"I'd have to get back to you about that, Joe. I don't know what we should name her, but maybe we could talk with Emma? Or your mother?"

I smiled, "It depends. How about we invite them both over to the house for some baby name ideas? They can be the only two to know about us having a little girl until the baby shower."

"That works with me!"

We made our way back to the house while Chloe called up Emma and my mother to arrive to the house tomorrow. Excited, we decorated the baby's bedroom and painted the walls a beautiful shade of pink.

"Joe, it's so beautiful!"

"Do you think she'll like her bedroom?"

"I believe so. I didn't know you were quite the interior designer."

"I have my moments. I'm just so happy that we're having a baby and finally knowing the gender makes everything so much better."

"The lighting is so elegant, too, and I love the little chandelier that you installed."

"Anything for our little girl." I warmly smiled.

While we enjoyed decorating our daughter's bedroom and waiting for her arrival in a couple of months, we headed off to sleep for the night and the following morning, we woke up to hearing Zeus anxiously barking at the door.

Upon answering, it was Emma and my mother.

"Hello! It's so nice to see you two again!" Emma said.

"Hey, guys!" Chloe said, "We wanted you two to come over because we needed help finding some baby names before the baby shower next weekend."

"Do you guys know what you're having?" My mother asked.

"I'm also curious to know that too." Emma added.

Chloe flashed a smile, "Well, we're having ourselves a little girl."

"Oh my gosh! I've always wanted a granddaughter!"

I smiled, "I remember hearing you talk about that when I was a teenager."

"You and Chloe are going to be amazing parents! I'm so happy that you two are having a girl!"

"Thanks guys! What names should we come up with?"

"Let's see," said my mother, "How about Isabella; or a Samoan-like name...like Alani."

"That sounds beautiful. What does her name mean?" I asked.

"It just came to my mind, but I'm going to Google the name." Mother said.

When my mother looked at her phone after searching the meaning of the name, her smile reached from ear-to-ear, "That's such a beautiful name. Alani means a beautiful, heavenly flower that is an absolute sweetheart at best. She'll be very intelligent and an amazing person."

"That's a beautiful name." I said.

"And it sounds perfect, too." Chloe added.

I couldn't wait to welcome Alani into the world very, very soon.
