A few days have passed and to my surprise, it feels weird being known as the single man once again. I had a feeling that Galina wasn't going to give up that easily; given her manipulation tactics, but I didn't care; nor did I give a shit because she doesn't matter to me anymore.

After I left the hotel and focused on some of my wrestling matches, I decided on paying Chloe a small visit for awhile in Toronto until I felt more capable of getting my own place again.

"Hey Joe." She smiled.

"Hey, it's nice to see you again."

I reeled Chloe into a hug for a moment.

"How are you taking the divorce?"

"Eh." I shrugged, "I'm still managing but I'll survive either way."

"I'm sorry for the way she's been treating you. I'm thankful that you're finally out of that toxic marriage."

"Yeah, me too."

"So you're gonna be staying for awhile?"

I nodded, "Mhm. Just for maybe a week or two at the most. I decided on taking a small break from wrestling for a week just to gather my thoughts after everything that's been happening."

"I understand. But because you're a single man again, that means you can focus on yourself and prioritize your career."

"I'm thankful for that." I replied, sitting on the couch next to Chloe with a warm smile on my face.

"While you're here Joe, make yourself feel at home and you're free to have anything to eat or drink in the kitchen."

"I appreciate this. I would've stayed with one of my closest friends, but he has a wife and a child and I don't wanna be a burden to them."

"I doubt that you'll be a burden. You're not a burden to me."

I looked over at her as she flashed her beautiful smile. I was immediately mesmerized.

"Wow, I just realized how much of a beautiful smile you have."

"Thank you. I love yours too."

After awhile of holding a conversation, Chloe and I decided on putting on something to watch in the meantime before it was time to get some sleep for the night.

An hour passed and I glanced over to see her slightly trembling next to me. Concerned, I asked, "Are you okay?"

"Oh, yeah. I get cold easily."

I crooked a smile, "You know, I have a solution to your problem."

"What do you mean? I can bring in some blankets and turn up the heat in the house."

"Come here." I said, throwing my arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer towards me.

She didn't hesitate.

"Consider this a friendly cuddle." I laughed.

"For sure."

We continued to watch the series of Stranger Things until I realized she had fallen asleep in my arms.

While I didn't mind Chloe being asleep, I laid down on the couch and pulled her closer to my chest without hesitation and fell asleep with her, making sure that she felt safe with me the entire night.

Chloe
I was enjoying my time with Joe. I'm still surprised that we met after the show not too long ago and here we are, spending quality time together and getting to know one another.

It wasn't long until I passed out. I tried to keep my eyes opened to watch what happened next on the TV; but to no avail. I felt my eyes beginning to drop and before I knew it, I fell asleep in Joe's arms on the couch.

When morning approached, my eyes slowly fluttered at the sunlight beaming through my curtains and I noticed that I was laying on top of Joe.

"Good morning."

"Hm?" He said, attempting to wake up from his sleep.

"It's time to wake up, Doofus." I laughed.

"Oh shit." He opened his eyes and started to sit up on the couch. "Good morning. What time is it?" He asked, scratching his beard.

"It's only ten in the morning. I can tell that you managed to sleep well." I chuckled.

"Of course, and I hope that wasn't weird of me to fall asleep with you on the couch."

"Not at all." I shook my head.

"It felt comforting and relaxing. I haven't experienced that feeling in awhile." I replied.

"I'm glad," He says as he crooked a smile, "Plus, I was too lazy to carry you to your bedroom anyways and the couch was big enough for two."

"I can't blame you." I replied and then remembered that I had things to do for awhile, "Oh and Joe? Can you watch over the house for awhile since I have to run some errands? Normally I lock the doors, but I can trust you to watch over everything, right?"

"Of course. I'll be here when you come back."

"Okay, thanks."

I rushed over to get some groceries, then Target, and grabbed myself and Joe a small thing of Tim Horton's in the meantime.

Joe
While Chloe was out running some errands for awhile, I laid back on the reclining chair and called up Colby.

"Hey Joe, what's going on?"

"For starters, I was hanging out with Chloe last night and I ended up snuggling with her and we both fell asleep together."

"Aw, that's adorable!" He cooed, "It seems like someone's got a little crush."

"Oh hush." I laughed.

"Besides, I know you just finalized your divorce with Galina, but I'm taking it that you're already in the mood to mingle?"

"Kind of." I smiled, "Thing is, I don't know if she even has a boyfriend or not."

"Don't be shy, Joe! You should ask her and see what happens from there. You're Joe Anoa'i, literally every woman swoons over your big-headed ass."

I chuckled, "True. I'm gonna relax for awhile until she returns home. I'll see you in a week."

After we hung up, I reclined back in the chair and checked my social media to seeing many of my fans somehow finding out about mine and Galina's split-up.

Suddenly, a notification pops up on the screen from TMZ.

"WWE Superstar, Roman Reigns, and his wife, Galina Becker have split."

"You have to be fucking with me." I huffed with my hand over my face.

I tried to not pay it any attention. I knew she was not going to let me off that easily. Knowing Galina, she always wanted me to herself and technically she had something up her sleeve this entire time; because she wouldn't have been that calm after me announcing that I wanted a divorce.

For many years, I've struggled to keep our marriage intact. Many times she would throw glass plates at me or even go far as to hit me with a beer bottle if we were in a deeply heated argument. She'd always have that victim mentality whenever I'd make a point in our arguments and always shown her narcissistic personality towards me. I knew awhile ago that I had no choice but to escape what was once a toxic marriage.

While Chloe was still out and running her errands, I decided on taking a short nap to collect my thoughts. I had a feeling that Galina was going to do something to cause an issue. Again, I've never been the confrontational-type and all I really wanted was to move on from this divorce and I wish that she'd do the same.

But it looks like I'm preparing myself for a war.
