Chloe
It was a long and eventful night with Joe when it came to my anxiety randomly creeping up on me. As excited as I was about being pregnant for the second time with our child, I was terrified that another miscarriage was going to happen in the future.

While I refused to remember that horrible part of our past, I woke up around ten in the morning and rolled over in the bed to realize that Joe wasn't laying next to me. Sadly, Joe had to return back to work for awhile with his cousins and Colby in the meantime.

After I situated myself out from the bed, I walked into the kitchen and heard the sounds of sizzling emerging from the other room. I silently peeked at the corner and I seen Joe standing in front of the stove as he was frying up some bacon and eggs.

"Hey babe." I said, catching Joe's attention.

"Hey. Did you sleep well?"

"I did. I thought you already left for work."

"Nah. It'll be two hours from now until I do, babe. In the meantime, I wanted to make you some breakfast before I left."

"You're so thoughtful, Joe. You didn't have to cook all of this for me."

"I want to. I know you're carrying our child...or children, and I wanted to make sure that you ate before I left the house." He smirked.

While he kept smiling at the twin comment that he just made, I started to assume that he wanted to have two children together. Joe continued to cook us both some breakfast before he left back to the ring for awhile. It was going to be hard without having him around the house after being used to his presence twenty-four-seven, but I'll manage.

"Here's your breakfast, babe."

"You're the best husband ever."

"You think so?"

"Duh!" I teased, "Or else I wouldn't have married my best friend."

His eyes widened, "So you're telling me that I replaced Emma?"

"No, you know what I mean silly."

"I just love teasing you, baby."

After a couple of hours passed, I helped Joe pack his suitcase and duffel bag for work. He was prepared to head back on the road with WWE for the time being and I was already beginning to miss him.

"Baby, are you gonna be alright while I'm gone?"

"Of course! I'll be safe, Joe."

"Good." He replied, crouching to my size, "I don't want anything to happen to you, or our baby."

Joe carefully placed his hand against my stomach and I started to feel butterflies at the feeling of his touch. He was more than ready to become a father already, and I couldn't wait for the next nine months to pass.

"I promise that we'll be safe, Daddy." I said.

He looked up with a devilish smile beginning to spread on his face, "What was that?"

"You heard me, Joe."

"Ugh! Calling me Daddy and shit." He flashed a smile, "You know I love when you call me that, baby."

Joe started to playfully lick his lips and followed up with a small, flirtatious lip bite.

"You know what? I'm gonna keep you waiting until you come back home from the ring." I said.

He frowned, "Aw, what?"

"Just to make things a lot more exciting once you're back home."

"That's only fair, baby." He grinned, "That means when I come back, the wait will definitely be worth it."

Joe looked at his Apple Watch and it was time for him to head back on the road.

"I hate that I have to do this, but I have to head out, baby."

"Alright, Joe." I say, standing on the tips of my toes in attempt to press my lips against Joe's before he left, "I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too. If anything starts to happen while I'm not here, don't hesitate to call me."

"I promise."

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

Joe then opened the door and carried his luggage to his Range Rover, driving off to the next city in America, New York City.

After Joe pulled out and made his way to the Toronto Airlines, I was beginning to miss him even more than ever. When you're away from the one person you love for a long period of time, you'll miss their presence. As the saying always goes, absence always makes the heart grow stronger.

Joe
After leaving home and having to head back to America to compete for a match, and to also start a fresh, new feud. I wasn't ready to leave my wife and unborn child behind for awhile.

While I was driving over to the Toronto Airlines to catch my flight, I finally arrived thirty-minutes later and sat down in my seat. Suddenly, I received a FaceTime call from Colby. Upon answering, he looked up as he was sitting on a black leather office chair in a small area with a smile on his face. I assumed that he and Rebecca already made it to New York for the upcoming event.

"What goes on, man?"

"Nothing much." I replied, "I'm just now boarding the flight and I should be over in New York soon."

"Oh? It's been awhile since I last saw you, Joe."

"It's been a minute. Also, take off that Chicago Bears shirt, man." I teased.

"Aww come on, Joe. I don't make fun of you for liking the San Francisco 49ers."

"You know I'm fucking with you, little brother." I laughed, "How's Rebecca and your daughter doing?"

"We're doing good. Rebecca is gonna be having a match tonight and we're having Adam watching over our daughter while we're working."

"That's sweet of him, Colbs."

I was smiling at the thought that I, too, had a baby on the way, but I wanted to keep the pregnancy a secret until Chloe felt ready to announce the big news to our friends.

"What's got you smiling, hm?"

"Oh, it's nothing."

"You sure? I don't know man, you got that big ass smile that's reaching ear-to-ear."

"It's just something that has me in a happy mood."

Then it clicked with Colby, "Ohh, you're still swooning over the fact that you're married to Chloe, right?"

"Yeah." I replied, "It's still a dream come true, Colbs. I never thought the same woman we met that night would've ended up being my future wife."

"I can't blame you. I was best friends with Rebecca for years until we started dating and then we ended up marrying each other, having a child; and from there, we've been happier."

"I remember all of that." I smiled.

"Also, wanna hit the gym when you're here?" Colby asked.

"Sure. I haven't worked out in a couple of days, man."

"Alright."

"Colbs, I have to get off of here for awhile. I'll message you once I'm checked into the hotel, alright?"

"Yeah, sure man." He says, "Safe travels."

After hanging up the FaceTime call, I quickly messaged Chloe and checked up on her before putting my AirPods in my ears for the remainder of the flight and listened to Pop Smoke.

I missed this woman beyond comprehension. She was everything to me, and I couldn't wait to make the big announcement that we were expecting another baby together whenever the timing felt right between the both of us.

After a few hours of sitting and waiting for the plane to land at the nearest airport, I took out my AirPods and grabbed my luggage before making my way to the closest hotel and checked myself in.

When I made it to the hotel room, I messaged Colby and then called up Chloe to inform her that I made it safe with the warmest smile on my face.

"Hey baby."

"Hey, Joe. How was the flight?"

"It was pretty boring. I would've been a lot happier if you were here with me."

"Me too. I can't really travel a lot due to my pregnancy." She frowned, "Anyways, when would you want to tell everyone about the pregnancy? I'm sure Emma and Fergal already know the answer since they're the reason I took the tests."

"Hm, I was thinking in a week or so when I'm back home. I was gonna invite everyone over and announce it to everyone all at once. How does that sound to you, baby?"

"I'd love nothing more than to do that." She smiled.

"Then it's settled, baby. When I come back, I'm gonna invite everyone to our house and make the announcement."

"When will you be home?"

"In a few days, actually. I'm running some storyline with The Bloodline with the Wiseman and then I should be back home as soon as possible. I don't like leaving you alone, Chloe."

"I know, but I'm holding up and I'm just missing you so much."

"I miss you too, more than you know right now."

Then my door began to knock.

"Open up, man! Chop chop!"

"Who's that?" Chloe asked.

"It's just Colby." I laughed, "I'll be there in a second!"

"I'm not surprised," she snickered, "He's always doing the most."

I looked over at Chloe and seen her laughing at Colby being his usual self; but then I remembered that we had to visit the gym in an hour before I had to prepare for the show later tonight.

"Baby, I really hate that I have to do this, but..."

"Joe, I understand completely. I know you have to work out at the gym and meet up with Colby. I'm gonna relax and have a self-care night."

"Thank you for understanding babe. I love you."

"I love you, too."

After hanging up the phone, I opened the door and prepared to trail alongside Colby to the gym with my duffel bag in hand.
