Joe
I was finally feeling at peace with Chloe for awhile; enjoying our moment together at the beach as the sunset began to turn into darkness. The stars started to shine bright and the moon made its way out to the sky.

I glanced over at Chloe as she continued to stare over at the ocean in silence.

"Enjoying the view?"

"Yes, I am." She nods, "This is beautiful, Joe. Thank you for bringing me out here."

"No problem, babe. I figured we could have some time alone for awhile. I love my family; don't get me wrong, but I wanted to show you around my hometown since we live over at yours."

"I understand. I love Pensacola so much, but Toronto will always be my home."

I crooked a smile, "I know and that's why I bought our house in your hometown; so you didn't have to leave Emma behind and because that's the area we met in after the show. I can always come back to mine because of my family in Pensacola from time-to-time, but your happiness is more important."

"Aww." She cooed, "You're so sweet."

"Am I?" I chuckled.

"You are! You've made me a happy woman and despite everything that's happened so far, you've stuck by my side the entire time."

"Of course I did. You're my girl and I'd do anything for you."

While Chloe and I were taking in this moment together, I wrapped my arms around her body from behind and pulled her closer to me once more and rested my chin against her shoulder.

It was peaceful and I never wanted this moment to end between us. I couldn't wait for her to become my wife in the future.

A few hours later

We were on the way back to my house and I was more than excited for WrestleMania to come around the corner. I was still determined to make Chloe my fiancΓ©e by the end of the night after becoming the undisputed champion.

When we arrived back home, we opened the door and seen Josh and Jonathan slumped over on the couch and asleep.

"Hey, Uce." I said, "Get your asses up."

I started to laugh while they looked like they had too much to drink.

"Wh-What's hanging, Uce?" Jonathan said, slurring on his words.

I chuckled, "I should be asking what's hanging with you. Y'all were drinking or something?"

"Yeah. We decided to party a little with the family and then we crashed on the couch for a minute."

"It definitely looks like you guys had too much to drink." Chloe laughed, "Where's your other brother, Joseph?"

"Oh, he went to his guest bedroom and fell asleep for the night. He's not much of a drinker anyways and we only drink on occasion." Josh replied.

"I can't say I blame him. I'm not much of a drinker myself."

"We respect that, Uce."

And just like that, they both passed out once again on the couch.

Chloe and I quietly made our way back to my old bedroom and relaxed for the night. While I kicked off my shoes, I couldn't help but to notice her sitting near the bedroom window, rubbing her stomach.

"I can tell that you're excited too, baby." I warmly smiled, "Only a few months away until we get to meet our son or daughter."

"Imagine if I had twins."

"Now you're wanting twins? Damn, baby."

"It's a possibility. We still have yet to visit the OB-GYN and see what happens from there."

"I'm more than excited to see what we're having."

She smiles, "Me too."

After we finished our small conversation, we both drifted off to sleep together in the bed. I was the happiest man alive that Chloe and I were finally at peace for the first time in awhile.

Hopefully soon the police will catch those two bastards...

Chloe
I woke up with a smile on my face as I felt Joe gently shoving my shoulders. His hot breath began to linger around my neck as he whispered, "Get up, baby."

Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes and seen Joe staring at me; flashing a smile, "H-Huh?"

"Good morning, Beautiful." He said, "Did you sleep well?"

"I did. I had an amazing time last night and I feel safe down here in your hometown. Although, I'm still terrified about one thing."

"What's that, baby?"

"What if they're in Pensacola right now?"

"I'm sure they're not and if they even try to come close to you and our unborn child, they're gonna get their ass beaten."

"I'll trust you, Joe."

Joe
After we left the bedroom, we spent the rest of the day with my family before we boarded our flight back to Toronto tomorrow; despite my cousins having a massive hangover throughout the day from last night's partying. It was great spending some quality time with everyone for the first time in two-years and I couldn't be happy enough that my family instantly adored Chloe.

The following night

While Chloe went to sleep for the night, I went to the bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror while trimming down my beard that was beginning to become more thicker.

WrestleMania was also coming around the corner and I still had to find the perfect ring for Chloe in order to propose to her.

I was deep into thought about how this proposal was going to turn out. I know she wouldn't refuse, but the one thing I'd love to do is give her the perfect proposal and marriage that she's always wanted.

Joshua, that bastard, caused her so much pain in the past and almost had her life taken away because of the hitman, Dante.

I looked back into the mirror as I finished shaving my beard and my eyes looked as if they were beginning to grow cold. Thinking of the way he and Galina treated her was maddening.

I was determined to be an amazing husband to Chloe and the best father I could be for our unborn child.

It wasn't just Chloe I was protecting, but I was also in the process of protecting our baby, too. Heading back to Toronto tomorrow made me nervous. However, I knew that she loved living in Toronto; not just because Canada was where Chloe lived her entire life, but because of Emma and the life that she had before me.

Before I cleaned up the sink and made my way back into the bed, Chloe was flustered in the face as she continued to sleep. I assumed she was having small cramps due to the pregnancy.

I carefully crawled into the bed and gently wrapped my arms around her waist and she immediately calmed down and began to smile.

During the night, I was in a deep sleep and dreaming about my future with Chloe and our unborn child. We looked so happy together as she held our child in her arms with the biggest smile on her face in which brought me joy.

The dream that was a happy and beautiful moment quickly turned into a dark nightmare shortly after.

A woman approached me and she looked awfully familiar. But her face was blank and I couldn't tell who she was; but I was quick enough to recognize the voice.

"You decided to knock up that skank?"

"She's not a skank! That's my wife you're talking about and I love her. Why don't you just leave and never come back? Leave us alone!"

The woman laughed, "Is that so?"

A revolver was pulled out from her pocket as she cocked it close to Chloe and our baby.

I pleaded, "Stop! Don't do it!"

Then before I knew it, it happened.

The sound of the gunshot quickly made me shoot up from the bed and I was beginning to panic on the inside with my heart beginning to race.

As I shot up from the bed, covered in nothing but sweat and terror, Chloe sat up from the bed and she had a look of concern written all over her face.

"Joe, are you alright?"

"Yeah...Yeah." I replied after taking a small pause, "Everything's okay, baby."

Her eyebrows began to furrow, "It doesn't look like everything's fine. You're sweating, shaking and your heart is beating incredibly fast. What's wrong?"

I lowered my head and allowed a small, but heavy sigh escape from my mouth.

"I had a nightmare and it felt too realistic, Chloe. I don't wanna talk about it but I'm just thankful that you and the baby are okay."

"Of course we are. Whatever that nightmare was, it'll be okay. It was just a nightmare and nothing more." She says, kissing my cheek.

I sighed again, "I'm sorry for scaring you, Chloe. I don't know what caused me to have that nightmare but I'm feeling better now."

"Alright, we should get some more sleep because we have to board our flight in the evening."

I nodded, "You're right. Let's go back to bed."

We both laid back down and I held Chloe close to me after we had our small conversation. I don't understand why I'd have a happy dream to a terrifying nightmare, but it had me thinking...

What the fuck was that nightmare all about?
