Joe
After ending the call, I sat down on the bed and felt somewhat ashamed of myself. Chloe was right. I was a married man and it wasn't right of me to flirt with her when I barely even knew her. Then again, I wasn't happy with my marriage with Galina; no matter how hard I tried to make things work with her, it just wasn't good enough in her eyes.

I spent the rest of the night overthinking about how I was gonna divorce Galina and then begin to focus strictly on my career right after I became a single man once again for the first time in years.

"Man, fuck." I sighed.

Suddenly, there was knocking on my door and it was Colby.

"Hey man, you good?" He asked, standing in front of me.

"Yeah, I'm good man."

He cocked an eyebrow, "You sure? You don't look alright. I know when something's wrong because it's not hard to tell; given your facial expressions."

"You're right. Something is wrong, Colby."

"You can talk to me. I know Jon isn't around and it was the two of us always cheering your big-headed ass up, but I'm still here for you, man, you know that."

"It's kind of an awkward topic, but I'm thinking on getting a divorce with Galina."

"Galina? Damn, what happened?"

"It's a long story." I deeply sighed, "She and I haven't been doing so well with our marriage lately. We haven't been on the same page in years. I don't know what to do, man."

"Have you both tried marriage counseling?"

"Mhm," I nodded, "We've tried literally everything and it just wasn't good enough. One moment, everything is all perfect and then boom; nothing but a complete disaster about how something is my fault and how I'm a shitty husband. I don't feel happy in the marriage anymore, man."

"I can't blame you. I wouldn't want to feel pulled into that scenario either." He replied, scratching his beard, "Is there anything I can do for you, man?"

I shook my head, "Nah. I don't think there's nothing you can do unfortunately."

"Well, I'm always here for you either way." He patted me on the back, "I'm gonna head out but if you need to talk, don't be a stranger and call me. You're like a brother to me and I'll always have your back."

"Thanks man. I appreciate everything you've done for me over these years."

"Anytime."

Colby reeled me into a short hug and walked back to his hotel room for the night. For me, I laid down in the bed and started thinking of what I was going to do with this hectic and toxic marriage.

The next day, I woke up to my phone blowing up and to my surprise, it was Galina. I dreaded having to call back, but I knew that I had to in order to avoid another massive argument between the both of us.

"Hello?" I said with a groggy voice.

"What the hell, Joe?"

"What did I do this time?"

"I thought you were coming home soon?"

"I am. I just overslept or else I would've today."

"Excuses, excuses."

"Galina, I'm being serious here." I huffed, "If you don't believe me, I'll get Colby on the phone because I was talking to him last night before I headed off to sleep."

"Whatever, Joe."

She hung up.

I was getting tired of the same usual routine of everyday being nothing but an issue. I was never the one to be confrontational like most men, but it seemed to me like she changed completely right after we got married.

Galina was once a sweet and caring woman when we first met around our college years. We were pretty much what you'd call college sweethearts, but unfortunately things can change in a matter of years.

I would spend hours upon hours just overthinking about the situation. She knew I was signed with the WWE for years and suddenly she had a problem with it.

It was getting close to midnight and I decided to walk over to the bar and purchase a bottle of Hennessy to calm my nerves. I always drank on occasion, but there was a few times where I would drink my problems away.

"A bottle of Hennessy please." I said to the bartender.

"Coming right up." He paused, "Hey, you look familiar?"

"I don't care. Just bring over the Hennessy and there won't be any issues. Do you hear me?" I scoffed.

It didn't take long to shut the bartender down and he passed me over a bottle. I sat down at the barstool and started to drink half of the bottle until it was almost damn near gone.

An hour passed and it was inching closer to almost one-thirty in the morning. I was drunk and slumped over to where I couldn't drive back to the hotel.

My vision was blurry and thankfully I called up Colby.

"What's good, my man?"

"Colbyyy." I said, slurring on my words.

"Joe? Are you drunk again?" He asked.

"Maybe, I need you to come and pick me up."

"Alright. I'll be right there."

He hung up and made it over to the bar within ten minutes. After arriving to the local bar, he tossed me over his shoulder and drove us back to the hotel and checked us into our separate rooms.

"All love, Colby." I say, throwing up a peace sign in my drunken state.

"Sure buddy." He plopped me down on the bed, "Get some rest, Joe."

"Sure will."

Suddenly, I blacked out for the night.

I was out for hours and when I opened my eyes, I was hungover and I felt horrible and groggy. I sat up from the bed and picked up my phone. I had tons of missed calls and texts from Galina and one was from Colby.

Thankfully, I didn't have a show to do until tomorrow night and all I wanted to do was rest. However, it wasn't long until my hangover caused me to rush myself towards the bathroom and I vomited like crazy.

Thing is, I don't normally drink myself to death unless I was going through a lot of emotions all at once and my brain was in overload. I only wish that things could change between us for the better.

Chloe
After working long hours at Victoria's Secret, I suddenly received a FaceTime call during my break; and to my surprise, it was Joe once again.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Um hey, are you busy?"

"I'm at work but you caught me on my break."

"Shit. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

"Nah, you're not." I replied, "Anyways, how's everything going?"

"Not so good." He shook his head, "She's mad at me again and I nearly drank myself to death last night at the bar." He spoke, nonchalantly.

"Joe, you gotta be more careful with alcohol. I know from experience. Also, are you still planning to divorce her?"

"Mhm. I just don't know when."

"You only should when you feel like the timing is right. I know that I don't know anything about your wife, but she seems very toxic from the things you've told me, Joe."

"It's very toxic, yeah." He huffed, "I gotta go and relax for awhile. Before I get off of here, I have a question."

"What's up?"

"Can I come see you sometime? If you're not working and all that?"

"Sure, but if you think you're gonna come over and that we're gonna mess around then you're wrong."

He chuckled, "Nah. I don't want to do anything like that. I just want to ease my mind for awhile and hang out."

"Then I guess it's okay."

"When's your next day off?" He asked.

"Saturday and Sunday."

"Oh so you don't work on the weekends?"

"Nope. Do you have any shows on those days?"

"Yeah, but I'm not supposed to be on the match cards so I can make it over there after SmackDown."

"See you then, Joe."

We hung up and I felt like I was getting myself stuck in a mess with Joe. I know nothing about his wife or anything about him personally. Perhaps it'll be quite the experience bringing a famous person such as Joe into my house.
