A few years later...
"And here comes the beautiful Chloe Anoa'i! Making her way down to the stage."
I was standing backstage and watching my stunning wife walking down the aisle for the ongoing Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She was killing it as a model, and I couldn't be anymore proud of her. She was making her dreams as a model come true while everyone cheered her on from the crowd.
While she continued modeling down the aisle for everyone, I heard a familiar voice emerge from behind me, "Hey Joe."
"What's up, Colbs?"
"I just wanted to come out and see your wife during the fashion show." Colby smiled, "It seems like she made her dreams come true after all these years, huh?"
We both watched her from afar with smiles on our faces.
"Indeed, she has." I nodded, "I'm proud of the woman she's become, man."
"I can't blame you, Joe. I remember meeting Chloe when she was only twenty-four and wanting my autograph for her best friend back at that Toronto show. Now, Emma and Fergal have two kids together, Jon and Renee still have their one daughter, you're a father of two while Rebecca and I still have Roux. It's crazy that times flies so fast, man."
"That feels like ages ago, Colby. Damn. Where did all the time go?"
"It really does, man." Colby cackled, "We're getting old! And from what you've told me a few weeks ago, Alani's finally starting kindergarten next week, right?"
"Yeah, it's hard to believe. It doesn't feel like that long ago ever since she was born, Colbs." I warmly smiled, "I've been a father for five whole years, now. She's already enrolled in kindergarten, and she's still a daddy's girl as always."
"That's adorable, but I've been a father longer than you, Joe." He teased, "I'm just fucking with you, man. I'm so happy that life turned out in the best way possible for you and Chloe. You two truly deserve nothing but the best in life."
We both proceeded to watch as Chloe posed in front of everyone, flaunting around her confidence and hearing the crowd still cheering her on.
"I'm glad everything worked out, too." I say, keeping my focus on my wife.
We continued to watch the fashion show from backstage to seeing Chloe and many of the other Victoria's Secret Angels making their way down the aisle, still hearing the crowd scream and shout for them with excitement. After thirty minutes passed, it was finally time to determine who was winning this years fashion show. I stood there anxiously with Colby while waiting for the winner to be announced.
"And the winner of this years Victoria's Fashion Show is..." The judge paused, "Chloe Anoa'i!"
While the entire arena cheered and clapped for her victory, she charged down the stage with the brightest smile on her face. Chloe also won against the likes of Gigi Hadid, among many other of the Victoria's Secret Angels. This was a huge accomplishment in her career, and I couldn't be anymore proud of my wife.
When the fashion show officially came to an end, Chloe ran backstage into my embrace with a beautiful and gorgeous smile that reached from ear-to-ear after hearing that she won this years fashion show. This was her dream for many years, and I was so fortunate to witness this moment in her life.
"I'm so proud of you, baby!" I say, pressing my lips against hers, "I knew you were going to win right from the beginning!"
"You're such a supportive husband. I couldn't have done this without you, Joe." She sniffles, "I'm so glad that I married you."
"I'm glad that I married you too, baby." I said, quickly taking a notice that her eyes were beginning to well-up in emotion, "Hey, hey. Don't cry, sweetheart. You're gonna smudge your makeup, and we still have yet to take that picture together."
"Not to intervene between you lovebirds, but I'll be more than glad to oblige, Chloe!" Colby intervened, "I'm proud of you for coming so far in life. Joe and I watched from afar and damn, you were incredible out there!"
"Thank you, Colby."
He smiled, "Anytime! Stand right over there, guys. I'm about to take the picture!"
Chloe and I stood at the secluded area as he took a picture of us celebrating her victory and accomplishing her lifelong dream to becoming a Victoria's Secret model. She was the happiest that she's ever been and that brought a smile to my face.
"Here you go, man." Colby says, handing the phone over to us with a smile on his face, "Congratulations again, Chloe. I'm proud of you!"
We looked down at the picture on my phone and it was beautiful, yet breathtaking. I was able to share this happily emotional moment with my wife. I knew for years that she's been waiting for this opportunity, and here we are five-years later. However, after the fashion show had come to an end entirely, Chloe and I made our long-awaited trip back to Toronto and seen the family for awhile back at the house. In the meantime, I messaged my cousins and informed them that we were heading back to the house.
Upon arriving back home many hours later, we were greeted at the foyer by my three cousins and Zeus, with whom was wagging his tail anxiously at the sight of Chloe and I making our way towards the outdoor gate.
"What's hanging, Uce?" Jonathan asked, reeling both Chloe and I into his embrace.
"Nothing much, man. We just came back from the fashion show."
"We know that, Uce." Joseph smiled, "Sadly, we didn't get to watch because we were out here babysitting. Did you win?" He asks, looking at Chloe.
"I'm so glad you asked, because I won first place, guys!"
"Aw, that's amazing, lil' sis!" Josh says, "I'm so proud of you, Uce!"
"Thank you so much!"
"How's our son doing?" I asked my cousins.
"He's been asleep the majority of the time, Uce." Jonathan smiled, "Alani, on the other hand..."
"What about her?" I raised an eyebrow, "Was she any trouble while we were gone?"
"That's good." Chloe says with a smile, "But speaking of our daughter, how is she?"
"Nah, she wasn't any trouble. In fact, she's actually awake right now, Uce." Joseph laughed, "When we told her that you two were coming back home, she went ballistic and refused to take a small nap! Not to mention she loves spending time with her uncles all the time and loves playing Disney Princesses with the three of us. Jonathan especially!"
"It's like a whole little tea party up in here, Uce!" Josh laughed.
Jonathan turned his head over to staring at his twin-brother, "At least you're not having to wear a long, pink-silky dress, Uce. Consider yourself lucky!"
"Oh, I do!" He laughed, teasing his brother.
While we were all enjoying ourselves for the time being, we heard our daughter's voice approaching as she charged towards us with a smile that reached from ear-to-ear.
"Mommy! I missed you and Daddy so much!" Alani says, jumping into her mother's embrace.
I crouched down as my daughter's eyes began to meet with mine, "We ain't going anywhere, Princess. Mommy just had to work a fashion show for awhile, and she did amazing out there!"
"Oh?" She smiled, "And I missed you, Daddy."
"I missed you too, Princess." I say, reeling Alani into my embrace as she glanced over at Chloe for a moment.
"How was the fashion show, mommy?" She asked.
"It was incredible, sweetheart! I won first place!"
"Yay!" She says, jumping for joy whilst clapping her hands together in excitement.
"How's your baby brother doing, sweetheart?" She asks.
"Manuia's okay. He cries too much and makes a stinky in his diaper all the time." Alani spat as she stuck her tongue out in disgust.
We both laughed at Alani's smug comment towards her little brother. Although she loved the fact she was a big sister, she was not a fan of him constantly making a mess inside of his diapers.
However, I visited my sons bedroom an hour later and noticed that he was still asleep in his crib. I approached him with caution whilst holding the Ula Fala in my hands.
I whispered, "Hey son. When you're all grown up, I know that someday you're gonna take on your old man's legacy with this Ula Fala..."
"Legacy?" Chloe asks quietly, leaning against the wall with a smile.
"Mhm." I nodded, turning over to face Chloe whilst flashing a smile, "Manuia's most likely going to take after me once he's fully grown, and whenever I retire from professional wrestling, I know that he'll carry on the family bloodline in the WWE."
"Well, he definitely has your looks, babe. But the real question is, how come you have the Ula Fala in your hands? You haven't touched that in a couple of years, Joe."
I smiled, "It just came to my mind a few minutes ago, but I want our son to have it once he's old enough. Roughly when he's a teenager, that is. In my Samoan culture, we wear these beautiful red-colored Ula Falas as a symbol for the highest of the chiefs; and we wear these on important events. For me? I normally worn them during my matches, even when I wrestled against Josh. It's an important part of my culture and because he's our son, I want him to carry on in my legacy somehow."
"I can't wait to see him wearing it someday." She says, "He's definitely going to be just like you once he's all grown up. He already has your hair and looks identical to you, Joe."
"He really does." I warmly smiled, "He reminds me of myself back when I was a baby."
Silence started to fill the room until I heard Chloe beginning to speak, "Isn't it hard to believe that we had another child together, babe?"
"Not really, no." I shook my head, "I mean, maybe we can try for one more in a few years, right? Maybe then we'll have a set of twins!" I flashed a smile.
"Okay, let's not get ahold of ourselves now, Joe!" She laughed off my comment.
Chloe then paused, looking at the side of my beard with a huge smile on her face, "What's that?"
"What's...what?" I asked.
"Your beard is starting to show some grey, Joe!"
"It is?" I raised an eyebrow, "Shit, I'm getting older. Then again, I'm already in my forties!"
"And you still look sexy as ever, babe." She says, pressing her lips against mine.
"You think so?"
"Duh! Otherwise I wouldn't have married my best friend."
"And I wouldn't have it any other way."
Suddenly, we heard somebody knocking the door from afar while my cousins were relaxing inside of the den with Alani. We opened the door and to our surprise, it was Emma and Fergal with their two children.
"Oh my gosh! They're so cute, Emma!" Chloe warmly smiled at their children, "Tyler looks just like Fergal and Madison definitely has your features!"
"Thank you! I figured that they wanted to see their Uncle Joe and Aunt Chloe for awhile; because I know how we're all so busy nowadays with our lives and whatnot to where it's impossible to see each other like we used to. Oh, and congratulations to the Mrs. Victoria's Secret winner! I seen my best friend out there making a name for herself! You were incredible!"
"Aw, thank you so much, Emma!"
"Uncle? We don't exist to y'all?" Jonathan asked, jokingly.
"Oh my gosh! I had no idea that you three were..."
Emma turned her head to seeing Jonathan coming out from the den whilst wearing a long, pink Disney Princess dress as she began to laugh uncontrollably at the sight.
"N-No fucking way!" She bursts out laughing, making Fergal laugh alongside her, "Here comes Jon, the Disney Princess! The King...I mean, Queen of the Castle making his debut!"
"That's a good one, babe!" Fergal added.
"Ha-Ha. Alright, alright, Uce. Just get it out of your systems!" Jonathan scoffed.
Seeing Jonathan in a dress had all of us laughing uncontrollably. Alani always knew how to make the entire room laugh and putting smiles on our faces; and that was dressing her uncles up in Disney Princess outfits. Perferably Jonathan out of the three. We all insisted on taking a seat five minutes later and allowed Alani to have a small playdate with Emma and Fergal's children while we all conversed for awhile and caught up after not seeing each other for awhile.
While Chloe and I were enjoying our lives, Emma and Fergal were also residing in the outskirts of Toronto and raising their two children. Colby, Rebecca, Jon, and Renee were finishing-up on their careers in the WWE as the same went for myself. However, I was debating on whether or not to step away from wrestling and pursue a career in Hollywood to making movies in the movie industry within the next year alongside John Cena and Dwayne Johnson. Life was extremely busy for everyone, and we finally caught up and enjoyed each others' company while we had the spare time.
When everyone took their leave to return back to their daily lives, it was just Chloe and I all alone inside of our master bedroom with Zeus laying around the floor in relaxation. The kids were asleep and we finally had some time to ourselves to unwind. We turned on our television and watched a movie together on Netflix while laying in each other's embrace for the remainder of the night.
"Hey, sweetheart?"
She turns her head, "Yeah?"
"To be honest with you, these past five-years have been the best years of my life."
"Mine too, Joe."
Our eyes began to meet while my hand brushed against her cheek with a smile that was beginning to form from ear-to-ear, "I love you so fucking much, Chloe."
"I love you too, Joe. It's crazy to think that we're finally living the life that we always dreamt of. Being happily married, raising two beautiful children, and so much more."
"And I wouldn't have it any other way, Chloe."
"I just can't help but to wonder..."
"Wonder about what, baby?"
She looks up at the ceiling, "If my parents, our unborn child, and your brother are proud of us up there in Heaven. I've been thinking of them a lot lately. I just wish they were here to witness our growth and happiness together."
I warmly smiled, "Of course they are, baby."
She smiles back at me, "You're right. I mean, we've overcome so many obstacles when it came to dealing with those two crazy psychopaths and the hitman situation, focusing on our careers, making our dreams come true. And honestly, Joe, there's no doubt that they'd be disappointed in us. Maybe I was in way over my head a little with overthinking again."
"It's okay, baby. And If anything, you've made them all proud. You never gave up on your dreams and worked so hard to make them come true, even I'm proud of you for coming so far in life. Oute alofa ia te oe."
Chloe looked at me with a smile and rested her head underneath my chin. I gently rubbed her back in a circular motion with a smile on my face. Not even a few minutes in and we both fell asleep in each other's embrace for the night, taking in the moment with peace and tranquility.
And just like that, we continued to have a beautiful life together for many years to come. Everything I've always wanted finally became a reality. I found the woman of my dreams, became a father to two beautiful children, and I finally found happiness within myself.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
