One week later, we were finally ready to head back home in Toronto. Samoa was a lot of fun and we both learned more about my Samoan culture and tasted a lot of their delicacies, too.
"Wow! One week passed quickly." I said, walking over to the private jet.
"It's hard to believe." Chloe replied, "It only felt like yesterday since we started exploring the country. I'm gonna miss this place."
"I will, too." I flashed a smile, "Maybe every other year we can come back here, just the two of us."
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea, Joe."
"Then it's settled. We will be coming back here in two more years!"
We both walked up to the private jet and sat down after putting our luggage in the back. It was going to be a long thirteen-hour flight from Samoa to Pensacola, Florida, but I was more than excited to see our daughter again after one week.
While I glanced down at the window and enjoyed the view, I realized that Chloe was asleep next to me. I pulled one of my blankets over her and relaxed the entire time back.
Thirteen-hours later, we were finally boarding off of the private jet for the time being to pick-up Alani from my parents house after retrieving my Range Rover. Arriving back to my parents house, my mother rushed out the door and reeled me into her embrace, "Hi, Joe!"
"Hey, ma." I said, "How's our daughter doing? We're here to pick her up and take her home with us."
"She's currently asleep in her crib." She smiles, "Thing is, she wanted her crib to be placed inside of your old childhood bedroom. She simply refused to sleep anywhere else!"
"Aw, really?" I warmly smiled, "My daughter is such a daddy's girl."
"I can tell." My father said, coming out to greet us.
"What's up, dad?"
"Nothing much. I'm just happy to see you guys, and how was Samoa?"
"It was incredible. We explored and went sightseeing, tried out a variety of Samoan delicacies, and even went out to the lake for awhile, too." Chloe said.
"That's amazing!"
"I'm gonna go inside and get our daughter, guys." Chloe said.
She walked inside of the house and stepped into my childhood bedroom to take Alani back home with us while I trailed along with her. I was more than thrilled to see my daughter for the first time in over a week.
Upon making it back into my old bedroom, seeing our daughter laying in her crib next to my old bed brought a smile to my face. We both hovered over her with smiles on our faces.
"Look at our little girl, babe." I say, warmly smiling.
"She looks adorable sleeping inside of her crib. It seems like she missed the both of us a lot."
"It's really cute. Wanna pick her up, or do you want me to?"
"I think I have it handled, babe." I say, picking up Alani.
To our surprise, she didn't scream out and start crying like the usual. Alani was extremely attached to me and it brought a smile to my face. I glanced around at my old bedroom with all of my old wrestling and NFL stuff plastered all over the walls and I couldn't help but to think about how happy my childhood was. All I ever wanted to do in my life was become a father with the love of my life beside me, and everything worked out in the end.
We brought out Alani and started to prepare her carseat in my Range Rover before making our way back to the Pensacola Airport to board our flight back to Toronto. We said our goodbyes to my parents and headed out.
A few hours later, we were on the flight back to Toronto and I was relaxed in my chair until I glanced from over my shoulder to seeing Chloe holding our daughter in her embrace as they were both asleep during the flight. I smiled at them and fell asleep with them until our flight landed back at the Toronto Airlines.
When it was time for the three of us to leave the private jet, I gently shook Chloe's shoulder in attempt to wake her from her slumber, "Babe, our flight has landed."
"H-Huh?" She asked, rubbing her eyes, "Already? It doesn't even feel like ten minutes."
I chuckled, "I'm sure baby. I'll message Emma that we're on the way back home while you continue to hold Alani."
"That works with me, Joe."
I messaged Emma as we were about to leave the private jet that we'd be home within twenty-five minutes. We always trusted Emma to watch over the house whenever we wouldn't be home for awhile.
Our flight attendant, Dan, took it upon himself to board our luggage into the back of my vehicle before heading back home. Dan was always the one flight attendant that I could count on when it came to helping me travel out to shows and traveling back home.
"Here's all of your stuff, sir."
"Thank you so much, Dan." I smiled, pulling out my wallet and giving him four-hundred in cash.
"I can't take all of that money, sir." He shook his head, "That's way too much."
"Nah man. I insist! I know you have a family of four and you've been an amazing flight attendant towards me for years, man." I say, handing him the cash as he gave in.
"You're such a blessing, Joe." He looks up at me, "Thank you."
"You're welcome, man."
Later on, we drove back to the house and upon arrival, Emma and Fergal were waiting outside for us at the front doors with smiles across their faces.
"Hey, guys!" They both said in sync.
"Hey! Was Zeus a good boy while we were gone?"
Emma nodded, "Yes! He's been phenomenal; although he missed you three so much while you were gone."
"Aw, really?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah." Emma replied, "I do, however, have some amazing news to share with you guys!"
"And what's that, Emma?" I asked, flashing a smile.
"Fergal and I are expecting our first-ever child together!"
Chloe's eyes widened, "Oh my gosh! I'm so happy for you, girl! Our dreams continue to come true!"
While Chloe and Emma were thrilled about her being pregnant, Fergal pulled me over to the side with a look of concern written on his face, "Joe, I'm nervous at being a father."
"Fergs, I'll tell you from experience that being a father is incredible. Although the downside is having to change diapers and almost having your baby accidentally throw up on you, but it's such a blessing to have a child." I warmly smiled, "I was nervous too when Chloe announced her pregnancy to me. I'll admit, I was scared; but everything turned out perfect in the end."
"Wow, so being a father won't be so bad?"
I shook my head, "Nah, man. You'll just have to take some time off the ring for awhile and make sure that Emma's doing alright when the baby's born. I know you're in the Judgment Day faction and all, but I'm sure that Rhea, Damian, and Dominik will understand."
"They will. I haven't broken the news to them yet, either!"
"Better late than never, my friend." I say, reeling Fergal into my embrace.
The entire day consisted of us talking about Emma's pregnancy and how exciting parenthood was; along with giving them some pointers. Zeus was laying at my feet and it was an exciting day. Alani allowed Fergal to hold her and it brought a smile to his face, knowing that soon he was going to experience this feeling with his own child, too.
"It was nice seeing you guys." Emma says, reeling us into a hug, "I cannot thank you guys enough for giving us some pointers on the blessings of parenthood!"
"Of course." I flashed a smile, "You're like a sister to me, Emma."
After they left, we went upstairs to take Alani to bed and trailed down to the bedroom for the night to unwind and relax after a long day. We plopped down on the bed and took a sigh of relief that we could finally relax for the remainder of the night.
"Joe, it came off quite a shock to me that Emma's pregnant." Chloe said.
"Yeah, same here." I smiled.
Silence filled the room until I glanced over at Chloe as she was laying on my chest, "Babe?"
"Yeah, Joe?"
I smiled, "When do you want to try for another baby?"
"I don't know, Joe." I flashed a smile, "You tell me."
I chuckled, "I wouldn't mind being a father to five children at the most whenever you felt ready."
"Five? I think I can handle only two or three, Joe." She laughed.
"Alright, alright." I grinned, "Three can be our limit, babe."
We enjoyed the rest of the night and cuddled up on the couch to watching more horror films. Chloe was always fond of watching horror movies before we went to sleep. The one thing that always crossed my mind was how she never had nightmares in her sleep after watching such things. However, we ended up sleeping an hour later and everything felt peaceful.
The following morning, we were woken up to the sound of Zeus barking uncontrollably and I stormed out of the bedroom to check the front door to make sure it wasn't anyone sketchy. This time, it was Colby, Rebecca, Jon, and Renee.
"What's up, man?" Colby said, reeling me into a brotherly embrace; along with Jon.
"Nothing much. We just came back home yesterday from Samoa." I say.
"Samoa? So that's where you two lovebirds went off to!" Colby cackled, "We were wondering where you two went."
"Yeah man, today's my only day off from working multiple wrestling companies. I'm not just wrestling for AEW, but also New-Japan, and GCW all at once."
"Damn, I don't think I could work that many hours inside of the ring. A man needs a break for awhile!" I joked around.
"I can't blame you." Jon smiled, holding their daughter in his arms, "This is Nora. I never had the chance to introduce her to you before."
"And this is Roux." Colby said as Rebecca was holding onto their daughter.
"We figured that Nora and Roux could have a little playdate with Alani. Because we're all friends, we'd love to see our daughters become friends too." Jon added.
I flashed a smile, "I'd love that. I'm gonna see if she's awake."
"Speaking of being awake, where's Chloe?" Renee asked.
"Oh, she's asleep in the bedroom."
"Damn, we must have came early, huh?" Rebecca asked.
"Yeah, but that's only because we fell asleep a little later than usual last night."
"I think I might know why." Colby laughed.
"Nah, we didn't do any of that last night."
"I'm playing with you, man. It's all jokes, here!"
I laughed off his comment and walked into my bedroom. While I thought Chloe was asleep, she was fixing her hair whilst looking into the mirror and making sure that she looked presentable for the day; although she didn't need to wear makeup to look beautiful. She was already the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
"Babe, everyone's here."
"Who's everyone?" She asked.
"Colby, Jon, Renee, and Rebecca."
"Oh! I'll be out in a second. Go and check on Alani for me, alright?"
I nodded and went upstairs to get my daughter out from her crib to meet her two friends.
"Hey sweetheart! Daddy's friends want you to meet their babies. I believe you three will be the best of friends." I warmly smiled while holding Alani in my embrace, "Let's go downstairs and meet them, shall we?"
We went downstairs and they all looked at me with huge smiles on their faces, and then Chloe came out to greet everyone at the same time.
We all sat up an area for the children to play in while we sat down around them on a sectional couch in the meantime. It was exciting to see everyone together for the first time in forever; and having Alani meet two other babies was exciting, too. Thankfully, they all got along and were playing with stuffed animals whilst watching Bluey on the television screen.
"Look at them, man." Colby said, "They're already becoming best friends."
"Soon enough, we'll have to fight with the boys to stay away from our daughters. They ain't dating until they're twenty-one."
"Damn, Joe." Jon chuckled, "I mean, I can't blame you because I, too, wouldn't want my daughter to have a boyfriend in her teenage years."
"Same here." Colby added.
While we all conversed in the living room, we all three watched as Chloe, Rebecca, and Renee walked out and relaxed around the kitchen island and holding a conversation with each other from afar.
"How's Chloe been, man?"
"She's been alright." I sighed, "Man, we went through some shit over the past couple of months."
"What do you mean?" Jon asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, Chloe and Galina were in a brawl; for starters."
"Damn, what happened?"
"Let's just say that Galina broke into our house and said some offensive things towards Chloe about the miscarriage. It sent her into a rage to where she took my ex-wife's life. Needless to say, everything that was causing us issues has finally come to an end."
Their eyes widened, "Chloe killed her? Damn, Joe."
"She was worried about coming off as a murderous monster, but we all know she isn't."
"She's not anything like that, Joe." Jon shook his head, "At least you three can finally live in peace without anymore interferences."
I nodded, "Exactly, man."
For the next few hours, we continued to take pictures for memories while also watching our daughters play around on the carpet and watching Bluey for the rest of the day. An hour later, they started getting tired for the evening and it was time to call it a day.
"It looks like the kids are getting tired after their long playdate. I'm so happy that they're all friends and maybe they'll be just as close as we all three are!" Colby said.
"I know they will be! There's no doubt." I smiled.
Everyone then left for the evening as Alani started drifting off to sleep. She always enjoyed her afternoon naps and that also gave Chloe and I some time to ourselves before heading off to sleep for the night. Everything in our lives was perfect.
