10.
Morning struck and I opened my eyes to the smell of bacon being cooked on the oven from the other room. The aroma alone was enough to make me stand up from my bed and make my way down to the kitchen to greet Chloe.
"What are you cooking besides bacon?" I asked.
"Eggs."
I chuckled, "Mmm, my absolute favorite." I replied, licking my lips.
"I think it's almost everyone's favorite breakfast food, silly."
"I have one suggestion that you could cook up; or I should, perhaps."
"Oh? And what would that be?"
"You ever heard of Panikeke?"
"Pani-What?" She said in confusion with a cocked eyebrow.
"It's a Samoan pancake, Doll."
"Oh, does it taste different than the American pancake?"
"Eh, sort of. Here, let me make those since you've cooked enough for one morning."
She took a seat and relaxed in the chair as I proceeded to grab some flour and the other ingredients and quickly whipped up some Panikeke. Finishing up the food, I placed the Samoan pancake down on the table and she instantly loved the aroma.
I watched as Chloe took a small bite of the Panikeke and needless to say, she loved it.
"Wow! These are delicious, Joe."
"Thank you."
Hours later, we relaxed in the house for the remainder of the day and talked about the art of wrestling. I understood that Chloe had little-to-no-knowledge on wrestling and what it was like. She seemed confused when I'd tell her how difficult it can be attempting to lift another man who weighs over four-hundred pounds or less. Even though it took awhile to explain what I do for a living, she seemed interested.
Chloe
While Joe was staying over until tomorrow, we sat down on the couch after devouring a delicious breakfast and talked about his wrestling career. I was oblivious about wrestling unlike my best friend and I could listen to Joe talk to me all the time without getting bored.
"With the career I do, it can be quite challenging; to say the least." He said, scratching his beard, "Wrestling has always been something that I've been good at. After my past dreams of making it into the NFL plummeted, I turned to wrestling and luckily enough, my father wrestled for the WWE. He shown me the ropes and shown me more of an insight to the company."
"Your father worked there before?"
He nodded, "My father was actually one of the best back in the day. I don't wanna bore you, but..."
"No Joe, you're far from boring and I'm curious to know more about your dad." I interrupted.
"That's good, but back to what I was saying; my father was part of the Wild Samoans in the Samoan Dynasty. He, and many of my other family members were a huge deal in the WWE at the time. I'm part of that said dynasty in this generation and I'm proud of it."
"The Samoan Dynasty? I like that." I smiled.
"And this..." He said, pulling out his Universal Title from his bag. "This right now is one of my most prized possessions."
"I seen you with that title when you wrestled in Toronto the last time. It's beautiful." I said, throwing some flowers around his Universal Championship.
"It is beautiful. And nice touch on the flowers around my title." He chuckled.
"It's definitely photogenic."
"And I'm not?" He cocked his eyebrow with a smile, teasing me.
"I mean..." I laughed, "I'm kidding, Joe. You're definitely photogenic."
While we continued to talk about his Universal Title and joked around, it wasn't long until we had to get some rest for the night before he had to head back on the road tomorrow.
As much as we were enjoying each other's company, I could only hope that his ex-wife doesn't get inside of his head. Joe seemed like a genuinely good person and I loved everything about him.
He stood up from the couch, "Hey, I'm gonna take a shower."
"That's fine with me. I'm gonna catch up on some TV shows in the meantime."
"That works with me. I'll see you in thirty minutes." He winked.
While continuing with my small binging spree, I didn't know almost an hour passed and Joe came into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"I'm sorry, I forgot to grab my clothes out from my luggage and..."
After hearing the sound of his voice, I looked over and remained quiet while I couldn't stop gazing on his body.
His hair was dropped down on his shoulders whilst subtly licking his lips. He had a gorgeous upper body. He then curved a devious smile and looked me in the eyes, "I'm guessing you like what you see, huh?"
"No, I mean...yeah."
He softly chuckled, "It's all good. I'm just fucking with you baby. Anyways, can you hand me my luggage? I need to find myself some shorts."
I went into the guest room and brought out his luggage. He picked it up with that smirk still on his face.
"Thanks baby. I'll be right back."
After five minutes passed, he came back out and I noticed that he tied his hair back into a low bun and was wearing some black boxer shorts for the night. He looked breathtaking.
After he made his way out from the bathroom, he silently made his way towards the couch and the moment he sat down, he whispered in my ear and ended up scaring me.
"Whatcha watching?"
"Oh my god, Joe! You scared me!"
"Oops. I didn't mean to."
"It's fine. I'm just catching up on old episodes of The Walking Dead."
"Damn girl, you like zombies?" He teased.
"It's an interesting show. I've been watching it for years and it's pretty good."
"I've seen an episode or two in the past. It's not all that bad but it's not really my cup of tea."
"I respect that."
We remained silent while watching the rest of the episode together. After a few minutes have passed, I felt Joe's hand trailed against my leg and my face immediately grew red.
"Um Joe?"
"You good, Chloe? Your face is as red as a tomato right now. It's kind of cute."
"Your hand getting way too close to my inner thigh." I said.
"Oh, I didn't notice." He lied with a smirk spread across his face, "Do you want me to remove my hand? I will if it makes you uncomfortable."
I remained silent. This man knew exactly what he was doing when it came to me. Sure, he was now a single man, but deep down I was enjoying this; and I didn't want to say a word, but the silence was concerning him.
"I'm gonna take that as a no? You know I will if you'd want me to." He said.
"I don't mind."
He then started to flash a smile as we proceeded to finish off a few episodes of The Walking Dead until it was almost midnight. After the show came to a close, I stood up from the couch and was finally ready to get some sleep for the next eight hours.
"Hey, I'm gonna get some sleep, Joe."
"Me too, actually." He replied. "I have to leave around ten in the morning though."
"I've really enjoyed having you here the past couple of days."
"And I appreciate you for letting me stay here for awhile to clear my head off from that divorce. It was very much needed."
"You're always more than welcome to come over whenever you need to."
He smiled, "I'm definitely gonna come over more often. That is, if you're not busy with work and all that jazz."
"It's okay with me." I said with a sudden pause, "Goodnight Joe."
"Goodnight Chloe."
After that, we both went to sleep for the night before he had to make his way back on the road the very next day to continue on his job with the WWE.
