"What are you doing out here, y/n?" Mrs. Kim asked, standing next to her with an umbrella. She quickly pulled y/n under the shelter of the umbrella to keep her from getting soaked in the rain. Mrs. Kim was taken aback by how scared and shaky y/n looked. Her gaze then fell on y/n's torn sleeve, and a gasp escaped her lips as she realized something was seriously wrong.

Y/n noticed where Mrs. Kim was looking and instinctively tried to cover the damage. "Y/n... Are you alright? Did your father do this to you?" Mrs. Kim's voice was filled with concern as she saw y/n sobbing and trembling. Without hesitation, she took y/n's arm and guided her toward the car. "You’re coming with me. I won’t let you go back there," she insisted firmly. "No... Mrs. Kim, I can find a shelter for myself. Please don’t worry about me," y/n replied, trying to pull her arm away from Mrs. Kim's grip.

Mrs. Kim paused for a moment, studying y/n's face, which was filled with a mix of emotions that were hard to read. "Sweetheart, you’re coming with me, and I don’t want to hear any arguments. I care about you like a mother would, so please just listen. We’re going to the Kim Mansion," she said gently but firmly, hoping to reassure y/n that she was not alone and that help was on the way.

Y/N was just about to get into the car when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. "N-no Mrs. Kim... Y-your s-son..." she stammered, feeling a mix of anxiety and confusion. Mrs. Kim rolled her eyes and let out a scoff. "Aishh, that idiot! This is my house, so I can invite whoever I want. Who cares about him, right?" Y/N felt a wave of uncertainty wash over her as she blinked in surprise, but before she could say anything else, Mrs. Kim gave her a gentle push into the car.

As the driver adjusted the rearview mirror to check the route, Mrs. Kim announced, "To the KIM'S MANSION." In the backseat, one of Mrs. Kim's friends turned to Y/N with curiosity. "Heyyy, who is this girl?" she asked. Mrs. Kim replied casually, "Oh, she’s like my daughter. Her name is Y/N. Choi Y/N. Y/N, meet my friend, Park Sora." Y/N's eyes widened in shock as she turned to look at the girl. "P-Park S-Sora?" she stuttered, her heart racing. Sora smiled and nodded, saying, "Y-you know, my mother’s name was also Sora, but she was a Choi."

Y/N felt a rush of emotions as she processed this information. "Awwiee, sweetie... I am also your mother," Sora said playfully, trying to lighten the mood. But Y/N couldn't hold back her tears any longer; she was a complete mess, overwhelmed by the situation. The other women in the car quickly surrounded her, offering comfort and support like she was a little child needing reassurance. It was a strange mix of sadness and warmth, and Y/N realized that even in her confusion, she was not alone.

AT BAEK HOUSE :
YUNA'S POV :

I was lounging on the sofa, my gaze fixed on a photo resting on the side table. In the picture, I was standing next to Y/N, who was wearing stylish black glasses while I sported a pair of brown ones. A warm smile crept across my face as I reminisced about all the wonderful moments we had shared together. However, a wave of loneliness washed over me, reminding me of how much I missed her presence. Just then, the sound of the door clicking open broke my thoughts, and my mother walked in, her face beaming with happiness.

"Yuna, why do you look so sad? What’s wrong? Is it about that girl? Come on, she’s out of the picture now. We should be celebrating! Her money is finally ours!" My mother’s words hit me like a ton of bricks, and I turned to her in disbelief. "DON'T. YOU. DARE. TO. LAY. YOUR. DIRTY. HANDS. ON. HER. MONEY. YOU MAY BE MY MOM... BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I WILL LET YOU DO SOMETHING RIDICULOUS!" I shouted, my heart racing with anger and protectiveness.

My mother looked taken aback, her eyes wide with shock. "How dare you yell at me, Yuna? Who turned you into this person? You were never like this before!" Her voice trembled with confusion. I felt a pang of guilt for raising my voice, so I took a deep breath and reached for her hand, guiding her to sit beside me on the couch. "Mom, stealing someone’s belongings isn’t right," I said softly. She looked at me, her expression shifting to one of remorse, and apologized for her earlier comments. "I promise I won’t do anything like that again," she said, and I smiled, feeling a sense of relief as I headed to my room, hoping to find some peace.

AT KIM'S MANSION :

"Come on, sweetheart! This is your home now. Let's go!" Mrs. Kim encouraged y/n to step out of the car. Although y/n felt a bit unsure, she eventually opened the door and stepped out. The moment she looked at the house in front of her, her jaw dropped in disbelief. It was so much bigger and more beautiful than she had imagined. Mrs. Kim noticed y/n's stunned expression and asked, "What's wrong, honey? Do you not like the house? If it’s too much, I can take you to our farmhouse instead."

Y/n quickly swallowed hard, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Um, no! I mean, it’s just... such a huge house! I’m really excited to see it, thank you!" she replied, trying to hide her surprise. Mrs. Kim beamed at her response, clearly pleased that y/n was happy. With a warm smile, she led y/n inside the house, guiding her through the grand entrance and into the main hall. The space was filled with light and elegance, making y/n feel like she had stepped into a dream.

Once they reached the main hall, y/n sank into a plush couch, feeling a bit overwhelmed. A couple of maids quickly came over and offered her a glass of water. She gulped it down in one go, feeling parched from her excitement. Mrs. Kim playfully scolded her, saying, "Oh, baby! You shouldn’t drink so fast! Take your time and sip it slowly to help you relax." Y/n smiled sheepishly and scratched her head, feeling a mix of nerves and happiness. Mrs. Kim chuckled softly and then took y/n by the hand, leading her to her new room, ready to show her all the wonderful things that awaited her.

IN HER ROOM :

"Welcome to your new room!" Y/n glanced around and was immediately struck by the overwhelming presence of her favorite color, pink. The bed was a soft shade of pink, the table matched perfectly, and even the walls were painted in a lovely pink hue. As she took in her surroundings, memories of her time with Eunbi flooded back to her. She remembered how much Eunbi adored the color pink as well. In that moment, Y/n felt a deep longing for her friend, wishing she could share this experience with her. Additionally, she realized she hadn’t seen Mrs. Kim’s grandmother yet, and she was eager to meet her as well.

Mrs. Kim entered the room with a warm smile and explained, "This room belongs to my daughter. She’s currently studying business in America, so you can use it until she returns." After saying this, she encouraged Y/n to freshen up. Once Mrs. Kim left, Y/n closed the door behind her and began to explore the room. As she searched for clothes, a sudden realization hit her—she hadn’t packed any of her own! Feeling a bit anxious, she opened the cupboard and was greeted by a dazzling array of colorful outfits. Excitement bubbled within her, but she hesitated, wondering if it was okay to wear someone else's clothes. What if Mrs. Kim's daughter didn’t like it?

Gathering her courage, Y/n knocked on the door and called out, "Mrs. Kim, I’m really sorry, but I didn’t bring any clothes with me." Mrs. Kim’s gentle voice replied, "Come in." With a reassuring smile, she explained, "Don’t worry, dear. I arranged some clothes for you. Eunbi took her things with her, and I made sure the maids prepared some outfits for you before you arrived." Y/n felt a wave of relief wash over her. Mrs. Kim then offered to bring her something to eat or invited her to join the family for dinner. The mention of Eunbi’s name surprised Y/n, but she quickly brushed it off and agreed to join them. As Mrs. Kim noticed Y/n’s nervousness, she pulled her down onto the bed and held her hands, asking if everything was alright. Y/n looked up, her heart full of gratitude, and said, "I will never forget this. I promise to repay your kindness." Mrs. Kim smiled warmly and reassured her, "You don’t need to repay anything,  y/n. I will treat you like my own daughter ok. Now no more talking go back to your room baby ".

TIME 8 :00AM

Taehyung walked into the house, loosening his tie as he headed toward his mother's room. "Mom, I'm home," he called out wearily as he stepped inside. Mrs. Kim was sitting upright on the bed, her gaze fixed on Taehyung as he settled down next to her. "Do you know who is here with us right now?" she asked, her tone serious. Instinctively, Taehyung's protective nature kicked in, and he grasped his mother's hand, ready to shield her from any potential threat. However, Mrs. Kim gently pushed his arm away and said, "You know I invited someone over today." Taehyung let out a sigh of relief, thinking it was just one of her friends. "Oh, Mom, why are you telling me? It's probably just your friend. I'm used to it," he replied, starting to take off his shoes. But then, his mother’s next words made him freeze in place.

"I brought Y/N to our house, Taee," she said, and Taehyung's eyes widened in disbelief. "W-what?" he stammered, looking at his mom in shock. She nodded, and he couldn't help but scoff in confusion. "What's so special about her, huh?" he questioned, feeling a mix of curiosity and annoyance. Mrs. Kim, with a knowing smile, replied, "As a mother, I can sense things right away. You need to get along with her so she won't feel scared. Once you do, you'll understand why I think so highly of Y/N. I noticed she seemed uncomfortable, worried about whether you'd accept her living here. Make her your friend and help her feel at home. She's been through a lot and really needs kindness right now."

With a resigned sigh, Taehyung nodded, standing up from the bed and heading toward his own room. Just as he was about to enter, he noticed Eunbi's door slightly ajar and felt a sudden urge to peek inside. As he did, he spotted Y/N sitting on the bed, chatting animatedly on the phone. A smile unexpectedly spread across his face as he recalled how close they had been just moments before. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach, but he quickly shook off the feeling, reminding himself to focus on getting back to his room. The thought of Y/N being in his house stirred something inside him.

Just as I was about to drift off to sleep, a message from Mrs. Kim popped up on my phone. Earlier, she had given me her number in her room, and I had saved it under the name MOM❤️. It felt strange to see that name on my screen, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of emotions. It was like a warm wave washed over me, and I started to forget all the worries and awkward moments from earlier. The way she treated me made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and I realized I was starting to feel at home in a place that had once felt so foreign.

As I lay in bed, I couldn't shake off the butterflies fluttering in my stomach. A smile crept onto my face as I thought about what the future might hold. What if Mrs. Kim really wanted me to be part of her family? The idea seemed almost too good to be true, and I quickly scolded myself for daydreaming. I imagined her wanting a daughter-in-law who was rich, beautiful, and had the perfect figure—someone who could match her son’s charm. I wondered why I couldn't be that girl, and for a moment, I felt a spark of hope mixed with excitement.

My thoughts were interrupted when I noticed another notification on my phone. It was from Mrs. Kim again, and seeing her name made my heart race. I was grateful that she hadn’t asked about the awkward situation earlier; it showed how understanding and kind she was. It felt like she really got me, and that made me feel even more connected to her. I couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something special.

"Y/N"

"Yes Mrs. Kim? Do you need something?"

"Aishh no no.. I wanted to say as we both have already ate dinner and taehyung ate it in office. So I brought ice cream for you. You can go and have it And I don't wanna hear any excuse. I want you in the kitchen in 15 minutes.. Otherwise I'll send Tae to feed you "

" N-no need for that. I-ill go by m-my own "

She said bye and I closed my mobile while staring at it's blank screen. WHY DO I HAVE TO FACE HIM!!!!! SO ANNOYING.

AFTER 15 MINUTES

Y/n finally decided to leave her room, moving slowly toward the kitchen. As she approached the freezer, she opened it and pulled out a tub of ice cream, all the while glancing around to see if Taehyung was nearby. She wondered to herself, *Maybe he’s still asleep?* With a slight shrug of her shoulders, she dismissed her worries. Taking a seat on the white plastic stool positioned near the counter, she began to gaze around the kitchen, unaware that someone was watching her from a distance.

Just as Y/n was lost in her thoughts, she heard a series of coughs that made her jump. "AHEM... AHEM... Ahem," echoed through the kitchen, startling her and breaking her concentration. In a panic, she quickly stood up from the stool and began to dart around the room, searching for a place to hide. Her heart raced as she scanned the area, and then her eyes landed on the space beneath the counter. Without wasting a moment, she pushed the chairs aside and squeezed herself into the small hiding spot, carefully placing the chairs back in their original positions to conceal her.

As she crouched in her hiding place, Y/n held her breath, hoping that whoever had made the noise wouldn’t find her. The kitchen felt eerily quiet, and she could hear her own heartbeat thumping in her ears. She wondered if Taehyung had really woken up or if it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. The thrill of hiding and the uncertainty of the situation made her feel both scared and excited at the same time, as she waited to see what would happen next.

As the clock struck 9:00 PM, Taehyung strolled into the kitchen, ready for his tea time. He pretended not to notice Y/N, who was hiding in the corner, but in reality, he had been watching her since he entered. Y/N's eyes darted around, taking in his tall figure as he approached the kettle on the counter. She observed him carefully as he moved it under the sink to fill it with water. After turning on the kettle, he began searching through the cabinets for tea bags. Y/N saw this as her opportunity to slip away, but her face and hands were smeared with ice cream, making her feel self-conscious. Just as she started to make her escape, Taehyung stepped in her path, forcing her to retreat back to her hiding spot.

Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at Y/N's antics as she tried to conceal herself. The kettle let out a cheerful ding, signaling that the water was boiling. He poured the steaming water into his cup and added a tea bag, opting to skip the sugar because, as he liked to say, sugar could lead to unwanted weight gain. Y/N remained hidden, her mind racing as she plotted her next move. She felt a mix of frustration and amusement at the situation, especially since Taehyung was standing right in front of her, sipping his tea without a care in the world. His relaxed demeanor only fueled her determination to find a way out of the kitchen.

Growing increasingly annoyed by Taehyung's nonchalant presence, Y/N decided it was time to make a move. She carefully crawled to the side, hoping to sneak past him without being noticed. However, just as she thought she was in the clear, she realized that her plan might not work as smoothly as she had hoped. The kitchen felt like a maze, and Taehyung's casual stance seemed to block every possible exit. Y/N's heart raced as she weighed her options, knowing that she had to act quickly before Taehyung caught on to her intentions. The tension in the air was palpable, and she could only hope that her next move would finally lead her to freedom.

A hand suddenly yanked the cap of her hoodie, pulling her out into the open. All she could see was the hand that held a cup of tea, and in a moment of panic, she covered her face with her hands and shouted, "Ahannn... Bad habit... you really should wash your hands, babe!" Just as quickly, she lowered her hands, revealing a mix of confusion and nervousness on her face. When she looked up, she found him smirking at her, which made her heart race. She quickly snatched her cap back from his grip and took a step back to get a better look at him. "Hehe... M-mr. Kim... Hi!" she stammered, feeling a rush of embarrassment.

Taehyung continued to gaze at her, and she found it hard to look away. A natural pink blush crept onto her cheeks as she thought about how strange it was to go from calling him Kim Taehyung to Mr. Kim. "So, are you really enjoying just staring at me like this?" she asked, trying to break the awkward silence. He was dressed casually in a simple shirt and trousers, but the way he looked at her made her feel like she was the only one in the room. Just as she was about to respond, a noise interrupted them, causing Taehyung to close his eyes in annoyance. Y/n instinctively ducked down to hide under the counter again.

The old maid walked in, looking surprised to see them. "What are you doing here?" she asked, and Y/n felt her cheeks heat up even more. "Sorry, Kim... Miss Nara sent me to get a water bottle for her," the maid explained as she grabbed the bottle from the table. Just before leaving, she added with a smirk, "Carry on with whatever you were doing, Kim... I won't disturb you now." Y/n emerged from her hiding spot and shot Taehyung a glare. "YOU always embarrass me, Kim Taehyung! I'm leaving, BYE!" she yelled, and as she ran away, Taehyung waved while sipping his tea. "AND YEA! DRINK LESS TEA... IT WILL MAKE YOU BLACK!" she shouted back, making him choke on his drink. Frustrated, he muttered to himself, "Why is she so annoying?!" before heading back to his room.

MRS. KIM POV :
IN HER ROOM :

Madam, you have to trust me... I was so close to them, just an inch apart! Mrs. Kim softly hummed as she enjoyed her green tea. "Thank you, Oh-yeon. You can head to your room now. You did well today. Just remember to keep them together; it will definitely help you in the long run." Oh-yeon nodded respectfully and made her way to the servants' quarters.

THE NEXT MORNING :
AT KIM'S MANSION:

"Yeah, yeah, just put it right there. Don’t you know how to do it?" Mrs. Kim was scolding the new maid, who seemed to be struggling with her tasks. Y/n came down the stairs wearing clothes that were a bit too big for her, and she joined Mrs. Kim, who was busy instructing the maid. "What are you doing, Mrs. Kim?" Y/n asked curiously. "Aishh, stop calling me Mrs. Kim. Just call me Mom," Mrs. Kim replied, a hint of frustration in her voice. Y/n chuckled awkwardly and suggested, "Well... what about Auntie?" Mrs. Kim, sensing Y/n's discomfort, smiled and said, "Yeah, sure! You can call me Auntie from now on." Y/n returned the smile, her eyes sparkling with warmth. Then she noticed Mrs. Kim was still scolding the maid, so she decided to step in. "What happened, Auntie?" she inquired. "Oh, it’s nothing, dear. This is our new maid, and she doesn’t even know how to set the table, so I was just trying to help her out," Mrs. Kim explained. Y/n made an 'oh' face and said, "Okay, then let me help you. I’ll assist this maid, alright?" Mrs. Kim looked at Y/n with affection and said, "Aw, sure..." Y/n then took the maid to the kitchen.

Once they arrived in the kitchen, the maid pulled her arm away and stared at Y/n with wide eyes before rolling them in annoyance. "Listen, girl, you don’t need to interfere in my business. Just let me do what I’m doing, okay?" Y/n felt confused by the maid's attitude. "Excuse me?" she replied, taken aback. The maid turned and walked away, leaving Y/n with a strange feeling. "Something seems off about her," Y/n thought to herself. "She’s probably here for a reason, but I need to figure it out quietly."

Y/n noticed a glass jug sitting on the counter, so she picked it up and headed into the hallway. Lost in her own thoughts, she didn’t see Taehyung coming down the stairs. He was busy adjusting the buttons on his shirt when he accidentally collided with her. The moment they bumped into each other, there was a loud crash, and the glass shattered all over the floor. Taehyung quickly lowered his arm and saw Y/n wincing in pain, holding her back while shards of glass lay scattered around them.

Both Y/n and Taehyung exchanged fierce glares, each clearly annoyed with the other. Just then, Mrs. Kim entered the scene and exclaimed, "Oh dear! Stand up, Taehyung. Is this how you behave? You need to apologize to Y/n." Y/n continued to stare at Taehyung, who looked frustrated and was struggling to find the right words. "Mom! She... I..." he stammered, but Mrs. Kim's intense gaze silenced him. Taehyung let out a scoff and walked over to the table, taking a seat. "Taehyung, I told you to do something," Mrs. Kim insisted. He ignored her, focusing on his breakfast instead. "KIM TAEHYUNG!" she shouted. "Mom, it’s not my fault! I was just coming down, and she got in my way. I’m not saying sorry to this ANNOYING LADY!" He emphasized the last words and stormed off to the office without a word of goodbye.

Mrs. Kim was taken aback by her son's behavior, feeling a mix of shock and disappointment. She turned to Y/n, who looked visibly upset, likely because of Taehyung's attitude. Trying to comfort her, Mrs. Kim placed a hand on Y/n's shoulder and gently patted her back, offering an apologetic smile. Y/n returned the gesture with a small smile and a shake of her head, signaling that she was okay. Understanding that she needed to help mend the rift between them, Mrs. Kim suggested, "Come on, Y/n. You should get to know the maids better. Let me introduce you to them. Follow me to the kitchen." Y/n nodded and followed Mrs. Kim, hoping to find some comfort and friendship in the bustling kitchen.

。・゚゚・ 🌻 ・゚゚・。

After the introduction, y/n sensed that the girl named Iseul was really annoyed by her presence. It was clear from the way Iseul glared at her, making y/n feel a bit uncomfortable. However, Mrs. Kim seemed to be completely oblivious to the tension. She kept chatting with y/n about the household as if y/n was already a part of the family, almost like she was preparing her to be the future bride of the house. It was a bit amusing to y/n, and she couldn't help but smirk at the thought, wondering if there was any truth to it.

The maid, clearly irritated by y/n's closeness to Mrs. Kim, decided to interrupt their conversation. "Mrs. Kim... where is my room? Where will I be staying?" she asked, her tone sharp. Both Mrs. Kim and y/n turned to look at her, surprised by the sudden interruption. Mrs. Kim raised an eyebrow and asked, "You don’t have a place to stay?" The maid shook her head, and Mrs. Kim continued, "Well, you should find a place for yourself. I don’t keep young girls in my house, especially with my son around." The maid pleaded, "Please, Mrs. Kim... Let me stay here. I promise I’ll leave as soon as I get my first paycheck."

Mrs. Kim turned to y/n, seeking her opinion on the matter. "What do you think, y/n? It’s your house too," she said with a smile. Y/n felt a bit pressured but replied, "It’s really up to you, Mrs. Kim. You know best." Mrs. Kim appreciated y/n's response, but she insisted that y/n should have a say since she was part of the family now. After some back and forth, y/n finally suggested, "Okay, let her stay for now. Once she gets her first salary, she can move out." Mrs. Kim agreed and instructed the maid to settle in the servants' quarters. Unbeknownst to them, the maid was seething with jealousy towards y/n. As Mrs. Kim headed to her room, y/n was about to leave when the maid intentionally bumped into her, causing y/n to shoot her a stern look before heading to her own room.

AT BAEK HOUSE :

"Yea... I will send you all of the money and help me buying the new house. OK?" said someone who was talking on the phone with her new client. The client agreed and the call ended. The smirk appeared on her face "Why shouldn't I enjoy your money when you're finally gone huh?". She kept her phone on the side table and went near the window of her room

FLASHBACK :
16 Years ago :

The boy desperately begged the man, his hands clasped together in a pleading gesture. "Please, take her home with you. I promise I will come back for her once I have made something of myself." The man appeared frail and worn, but as he glanced into the car, his heart sank at the sight of the little girl, no more than two or three years old. Blood trickled from her head, and she lay unconscious, which made the man feel a surge of compassion. He knew he had to help, so he agreed to the boy's request, understanding the urgency of the situation.

The boy rushed to the car, carefully lifting the girl into his arms. He pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, a silent promise of love and protection. With a heavy heart, he turned to look at the vehicle where his parents were seated, lifeless and still. The weight of grief settled on his shoulders, but he knew he had to be strong for his sister. He followed Mr. Baek to his home, taking in the surroundings with a mix of hope and fear. He wanted to ensure that his sister would be safe before he left her behind.

"I hope you will take good care of her," the boy said, his voice trembling slightly as he handed over his sister to Mr. Baek. He felt a mix of sadness and relief, knowing that she would be looked after, even if it meant he had to part with her. With one last glance at the girl, he turned away, leaving the house and stepping into an uncertain future. He walked away, carrying the weight of his promise, but little did he know that he would never return to fulfill it. The girl, KIM Y/N, was now in the hands of Mr. Baek, and the boy's life would change forever.

FLASHBACK ENDS :

。・゚゚・ 🌻 ・゚゚・。

AT KIM'S MANSION :

I carefully opened the main door and stepped inside, only to be greeted by the thick darkness of the main hall. A wave of anxiety washed over me as I thought about how upset my mom might be. I knew she was probably angry, but I felt it wasn’t entirely my fault. I had misplaced an important file, and the button on my shirt wouldn’t close properly, which made me act a bit rude towards her. Even though I was stressed out, the meeting I had gone to turned out well, and I later discovered that the missing file was actually at the office.

As I flicked on the lights, I was surprised to see my mother peacefully sleeping on the couch, waiting for me to come home. A smile spread across my face as I watched her serene expression. Honestly, she looked so adorable in her sleep. I couldn’t help but think that my mom is the sweetest person in the world. It’s hard to believe how innocent she seems, and I felt a rush of affection for her at that moment.

When I gently placed my hand on her forehead, she stirred but didn’t ask about my day. Instead, she quietly walked to her room, which made me realize she was probably still upset with me. I decided that I would apologize to her in the morning. Before heading to my own room, I made a quick stop to kiss her forehead and tuck her in with the duvet, wanting to make sure she was comfortable. Once I was in my room, I took off my shirt and stared at myself in the mirror, feeling exhausted. I sighed, thinking about how tiring it was to keep a serious face at work. I knew I had to maintain a professional demeanor, but it was hard not to be friendly. After a moment of contemplation, I decided a hot bath would help me unwind before heading to bed.

。・゚゚・ 🌻 ・゚゚・。

After taking a hot shower, I climbed into bed, hoping to drift off to sleep. Minutes turned into what felt like an eternity, and soon an hour had passed, then two. What is going on with me? Why can’t I fall asleep? It felt like something was wrong, and my mind kept circling back to her. I couldn’t shake the feeling of being so connected to her, and it made me anxious to be around her all the time. Frustrated, I tossed and turned, finally sitting up and running my fingers through my hair while cradling my head in my hands. I needed to clear my mind, so I decided to take a walk. As I stepped out of my room, I noticed her door was slightly ajar. Curiosity got the better of me, and I peeked inside, only to see her in tears. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. You can do this, Taehyung. With that thought, I quietly walked into her room and gently closed the door behind me. She heard the sound and turned to look at me.

Taehyung made an effort to gently close the door, but it got stuck halfway and slammed shut with a loud bang. Y/n turned to look at him, and he quickly straightened up, trying to appear more composed. Clearing his throat, he stammered, "Ahem... I-I... The door wouldn’t close, so I thought I’d check it out. The maid suggested I call a carpenter to fix it... So, I just came to see. Bye!" Just as he was about to leave, he heard her sobbing. His big, doe-like eyes widened in concern. "A-Are you crying? Y-y/n... It’s okay, don’t cry. I’m right here with you." Y/n glanced at him while wiping her tears, then turned her gaze away. "Hmph! No, thank you... You can go. I don’t want to bother you," she replied, her voice cracking. Taehyung sighed deeply and finally managed to say what he had been holding back. "Okay... I-I’m sorry... I didn’t realize I was stressing you out so much. I’m really sorry." Y/n shot him a cute, angry pout, and he found himself staring at her, maybe even with a hint of affection.

"Do you want anything?" Taehyung asked, trying to lighten the mood. Y/n looked at him and shook her head. "How about some tea?" he suggested. "No!! I don’t drink tea. It’ll make me dark," she replied, and Taehyung blinked at her in confusion. "Oh really? I drink it, and I’m fine," he said. "Yeah, that’s why I’m way more beautiful than you," Y/n teased back. Taehyung scoffed at her playful jab. "Alright... What about juice?" he asked. She shook her head again. "Ice cream?" he tried, and her face lit up with a smile that made his heart race. Just as he was about to leave, Y/n called out, "Wait... Let’s get coffee. It’s been days... I miss my love... Please!" Taehyung hesitated, "B-but I hate coffee..." Y/n shot him an annoyed look. "WHO TOLD YOU TO ASK ME? Just go buy it for yourself!" she snapped. "Okay, okay... You can have coffee... I’ll pay for it as an apology, but I won’t drink it". "Fiiinnnee".

AT THE PARK :

They strolled through the park side by side, enveloped in a serene atmosphere that made everything feel calm and tranquil. Both of them were dressed in comfortable hoodies and pants, but their outfits were in different colors, adding a bit of personality to their appearance. Y/n was savoring the cool night air while sipping on her hot coffee, enjoying the warmth it brought her, while Taehyung, who had a strong craving for tea, held a cup of steaming tea in his hands. It was the quiet hour of 1 a.m., and the streets around them were deserted, creating a peaceful silence that wrapped around them like a cozy blanket.

As they walked, the stillness lingered, and neither of them felt the need to break the silence. Taehyung contemplated starting a conversation, feeling a mix of curiosity and concern. Finally, he turned to Y/n and asked, "So, how did you end up at my house? Did your mom make you come over?" Y/n paused in her tracks, ready to share her story. She began to recount the events that led her to his doorstep, but the details of her tale were something she preferred to keep to herself for now, not wanting to bore him with the same old narrative.

As Y/n spoke about her father, Taehyung's mind drifted back to the moment they first met, and a soft chuckle escaped his lips. Y/n noticed and asked, "Why are you laughing?" He replied, "I just remembered that funny story you told me at the café." This made Y/n pause, and she began to reflect on her own words from that day, realizing how much they had both grown since then. The memories flooded back, and she couldn't help but smile at the thought of their shared experiences, feeling grateful for the bond they were building.

FLASHBACK :

He stood up, ready to walk out the door, when I called out to him, "Where are you going?" He replied simply, "Home." I felt a rush of panic and quickly said, "U-umm... NO, you can't go home like this." He looked at me with a serious expression and said, "MISS... You needed coffee, and I have ordered it for you." My frustration boiled over, and in a moment of desperation, I decided to start fake crying.

"Ahh... OK, OK... I'm here. I'm not going anywhere," he said, clearly feeling guilty. I tried to push him away, saying, "No, no, go... I am good. I think it's my luck that everybody has to leave me." He looked confused and asked, "MISS... What are you talking about?" I shrugged and replied, "No, nothing... You won't understand." I could see he was curious, so I pressed on, "Tell me why you left your home and what are you doing here at this hour?" His expression changed, and he seemed tense as he began to speak.

"Actually, my step-father—" he started, and suddenly, I felt a wave of realization hit me. I had a step-father too, and I couldn't help but think about what he might think of me now. "Your step-father..." He prompted me to continue. I sighed and said, "Ahh, my step-father... He is so cruel... He only loves money. He doesn't care about me. So I left my house."

FLASHBACK ENDS

I was taken aback by his words, and it made me reflect on my own situation. "Ohh... I didn't know that the words I accidentally let slip were actually true," I thought to myself. Taehyung, sensing my distress, comforted me by gently patting my back, and that’s how the night went on, filled with unspoken feelings and shared burdens.

AT MORNING :
FLASHBACK :

Choi Sora looked at the girl in Baek's arms with a mix of confusion and curiosity. "Baek... Who is this girl?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. Baek gently replied, "She is Kim Y/N... Yeobu." As Sora heard the name, a wave of emotions washed over her. Memories of the baby she had lost flooded back, and her eyes began to fill with tears. She reached out with shaky hands to hold Y/N, who was peacefully sleeping in Baek's embrace. The moment was bittersweet, as Sora felt a deep connection to the child she had longed for but never got to hold.

As Sora cradled Y/N close to her heart, the floodgates opened, and she began to scream and cry, overwhelmed by the mix of joy and sorrow. The sound echoed through the house, drawing the attention of everyone nearby. "Baek... Please tell me this is my daughter... I need to know!" she pleaded, her voice filled with desperation. Mr. Baek nodded, confirming her hopes, and in that instant, Sora's heart swelled with love. She showered Y/N with kisses, her tears falling onto the baby's tiny face as she held her tightly, feeling a sense of fulfillment she had yearned for.

After a moment, Sora carefully carried Y/N into the bedroom, laying her down gently on the bed. Baek followed closely behind, his heart swelling with emotion as he watched his wife radiate happiness. It had been so long since he had seen her smile like this, and it brought tears to his eyes. The sight of Sora, filled with joy as she gazed at their baby, made him realize how precious this moment was. In that room, surrounded by love and hope, they both felt a renewed sense of family and the promise of a brighter future together.

A person was on the phone, sounding quite urgent as they said, "You have the house files, and I need them no matter what. I'm willing to pay you a lot of money for them. Why can't you see that?" The other person replied, "It will take some time, ma'am. We require a significant amount of money for that." The first person insisted, "I have all the money you need; just follow the instructions I've given you, and please, no mistakes." The response came back, "Yes, ma'am. I'm in the process of signing your file. What name should I put down?" The caller confidently stated, "Yes, my name is Bong... Mrs. Yong."
