We wanted to give our favorite Cabin 10 Counselor some time to shine, so we asked the Senate what their favorite Piper McLean moments from the books were, and wow, they had a lot to share!

#1: Rose, NoSaneHumanAllowed (she/her)

The Moment: "Piper stepped forward. Her eyes blazed with such rage, even the Earthborn backed away. She radiated with power and beauty, but it had nothing to do with her clothes or her makeup.

"You will not take the people I love," she said. "None of them."

Her words rippled across the clearing with such force, the Earthborn muttered, "Okay. Okay, sorry," they began to retreat.

Rose: "[This moment] shows how powerful Piper truly is; despite how off track Rick and the Fandom has gotten."

#2: Lys, Potterhead101807 (they/them)

The Moment: One of my favorite moments of Piper was actually from the end of The Sun and the Star. The scene was her and Nico iris messaging each other (with Shel in the beginning, of course). They talk about their grief from Jason's death, sexuality labels, and coming out.

Lys: "[This moment] just stuck out to me as really beautiful and validating, especially knowing how many readers it reached <3 including myself"

#3: Cyan, PerseusJSonOfSea (he/they)

The Moment: Leo: "This is Leo. I'm the... What's my title? Am I like, admiral, or captain, or..."

Piper: "Repair boy."

Leo: "Very funny, Piper."

Cyan: "it's funny."

#4: Kelpie, Asteria_Thalassari (she/they)

The Moment: "Love is powerful. It can bring the gods to their knees."

Kelpie: "[This quote] shows how Piper managed to find meaning in love despite how she shunned it before, and demonstrates how the most delicate things can be the most dangerous"

#5: Red, TheRedSourPatchKid (she/her)

The Moment: By far, my favorite Piper McLean moment is in the Blood of Olympus when she and Annabeth are in the tunnels looking for Mimas. Annabeth has a crisis partially because she can't fight Mimas using her wits, and also because of the trauma she'd just experienced in Tartarus. Piper supports her and encourages her to fight Mimas using only her emotions- even the negative ones.

Red: "I love this moment, especially as someone who relates more to Annabeth here and has a tendency to rationalize her feelings instead of just feeling them. We all need a friend like Piper to put her forehead on ours and tell us our feelings are valid and that they're important. Also, I'm a Pipabeth shipper and I wouldn't have been opposed to a romantic development in this scene."

#6: Jae, AjCatty (she/her)

The Moment: For this month's theme, I honestly loved in [T]he Lost Hero when Piper had just arrived at camp and was looking for a weapon.

Jae: "I chose this moment because I think it was perfect that Piper chose Katoptris. Her fatal flaw is low self esteem, so the parallel of her choosing a dagger that once belonged to Helen seemed so deep to me. It also seemed fitting that the dagger would give Piper the ability to see things in the future, because in the past Piper was always running from her life. I feel it was a good setup for character development."

#7: Storm, Daught3rOfSelene0708 (she/her)

The Moment: In the Blood of Olympus:When Piper and Annabeth were underground with the giant Mimas and Annabeth [had] flashbacks from Tartarus. Piper held Annabeth face and told her that it was OK and to let her feelings loose.(It may not be accurate as I have not read the book recently)

Storm: "This is the Pipabeth moment that I have been searching for and when I read it, it became one of my favorite parts of the book and series."
