Fanfiction is one of the best forms of media. It is the most brutally honest and emotional online platform, expressing great feelings of love and grief, and featuring great stories- most are better than published books.

As writers it holds a piece of us; even if the characters aren't our own we still express ourselves through them.

I think fan artists provide breathtaking stories and the fact that it is purely free will always continue to baffle me.

Today, Rose will be sharing some of her Annabeth-Centric stories, from your favorite websites, Wattpad and AO3.

From Wattpad I want to start with one of my all time favorite AUs, which is actually one of our senate's books (I promise I'm not picking favorites, I genuinely liked her stories before we even became friends/acquaintances): You're the One Thing: A Percabeth/Dirty Dancing AU by @/TheRedSourPatchKid

Follow Percy as he and his mom accompany his rich step-dad to his favorite country club, where he meets the snarky dance instructor, Annabeth Chase. Annabeth is preparing for a dance battle against Camp Jupiter, but when her dance partner is injured she has to find a new one. Good thing Percy's there.

While she and Percy have to hide this from his parents, they begin to develop feelings for one another. The big day is coming up fast and as problems arise they don't know what to do.

Rose: "I really like how Red writes Annabeth's character in this story. It's been a while, but from what I remember you can definitely tell she has daddy issues, she's a bit snarky, and just trying to get by no matter what. I loved the story so much- it pulled me into all of Red's stories- and the plot is great!"

Now moving on to our favorite Fanfiction site- AO3! The best story on there, featuring Annabeth Chase, of course, has to be Annabeth and the Nine Step Career Plan by @/feeling_the_aster_9145.

I know, I know, this fic is really popular among Annabeth fics on AO3; just add the Annabeth Chase-centric tag and- welp- it's the first to pop up. But this fic, really, really is good.

What happens when Annabeth Chase is denied her internship at Wayne Enterprises? She works against them of course! Follow Annabeth during the ten step plan to open WE eye's and let her join their team.

Rose: "I originally found this story on another platform, but I prefer AO3's formatting. This story is really good at making Annabeth seem like a realistic college student. I really like how it's written."
