I woke up and checked my phone. The time was 11 a.m. I laid in bed, staring at the ceiling of my room.

It was pretty late, but my date is 6 pm so I have some time on my hands.

That's when I remember I haven't text Krel.

I quickly picked up my phone looking for his number when I remembered I didn't have it.

I face-palmed as I changed my position to where I was lying on my stomach.

Looking through my messages until I found an unknown number.

Unknown Number.

Y/n? It's me Krel. Did you get home safe?

Yes, I did get home safely but I was so sleepy I did get to text you.

I smiled as I shut down my phone and placed it in my pocket.

But something was missing.

Crap. My mother.

I quickly got up off the bed and raced downstairs.

In the kitchen mother and Artemis were. Mother had her back turned against me as she was washing the dishes.

"Good day mother" I greeted her.

"And good day to you to my darling Artemis" I cooed at him as I took him out of his highchair.

"So last night I hear you had a nasty fall in work and Stuart picked you up" Mom told me.

I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm so sorry I worried you"

She stopped washing the dishes.

"Y/n-"

"Oh! Did I tell you I have a date tonight?" I asked.

"Oh really, who's the lucky guy?" She questioned as she sat next to me.

I smiled.

"Well, he's new at school. Krel Terron, he isn't from around here but he's really sweet though he can be a bit awkward sometimes" I giggled.

"That's wonderful Y/n. Where are you taking him?"

"The Carnival, maybe get some ice cream"

"I'm going to text Lizard and see if she's willing to come and help me get ready"

She smiled.

"I hope you have a wonderful first date, n/n" She said as she got up and placed a kiss on my temple.

"Now give me my child"

She took up Artemis from his highchair and left.

I took out my phone and texted Lizard.

Checking the time, it was 11:23 now. I still had some time on my hand till Darcy and Mary come here.

Might as well take a shower.

I was in my living room watching Netflix on the sofa when I heard the doorbell ring.

Must be Mary and Darcy.

I got up and opened the door.

"Hey, you two!" I greeted them.

Darci smiled.

"Hi, Y/n! Thanks for the invite"

I stepped to the side so they could enter.

"Wow, you have such a nice house Y/n" Mary commented.

"Thanks? Anyways, let's go to my room, do you guys want something to eat? I'm sure I have some snacks in the kitchen".

Have gathering some snacks, I lead Mary and Darci to my bedroom.

Darci sat on my hanging chair and opened the small pack of gummy worms.

"So, tell us about this date" Mary said as she started to look into my closest.

"Well...Krel and I are going to the carnival" I explained.

Mary groaned and turned to look at me, fighting the urge to smile.

"Ew, you're dating Kevin now!" She exclaimed.

"His name is Krel and not officially. It's a simple date to see what is next for us"

"Aw! So, you'll be the first to tell us when (ship name) sails" Darci said as she got u from the chair to Mary.

"Ta da!" Mary exclaimed as she turned to hold an outfit.

I smiled.

"Yeah, for a date night at the movies I think this would be more appropriate" Darci said.

I winced at the sight.

"No! Darci why!? Black demi jacket and blue jeans have never mix and will never mix" I cringed.

Mary laughed.

"Yeah, I agree with Y/n on this. I can't even look at it but cute idea though"

I nodded in agreement.

"I'll go with Darci's outfit, and I do have a demi jacket to go with jeans. But that outfit Mary has I will wear when the occasion presents itself" I said as I got up from bed and walked over to Darci, who handed me the clothes.

"Thank you, girls, so much! I've you want you can borrow a top from-"

"Great! I love this top! It's been calling me since I opened you're wardrobe" Mary exclaimed as she took out top.

"Sure, just bring it back. Darci anything you would like to use?" I asked her.

She pulled out my pink strawberry printed dress.

Out of everything-

"Sure it's the less I could give"

She smiled.

"Thank you so much, n/n. Hey, what time is it?" She asked.

Mary pulled out her phone.

"It's 5:34 now"

"Well, I'm going to bathe right now. You guys could go in the wait downstairs so I could change" I told them only to get weird, judgement stares in return.

"Y/n...what are you talking about? You took a shower this morning" Mary said.

I looked at her confused.

"Yes...and the night is coming. I have to bathe again. I'm going out on a date how can I not bathe?" I asked genuinely confused.

"Y/n who does that? Who showers twice a day?" Mary asked.

I was shocked at this point.

"What do you mean, who bathes twice a day?!" I exclaimed.

I pointed to myself.

"I bathe twice a day! Sometimes three times a day"

"Y/n, twice a day is crazy! Sometimes I don't shower in two, three days. You're stripping your skin of its natural oil, I read that once off the famous person's post" She informed me.

I sat down on my bed, looking at Mary.

"And that is why Mary, you smell reek!" I admitted.

She gasped as Darci's eyes widen.

"Half the time I don't want to tell you. But you are burning the hair off my noes!"

She pointed at me.

"Y/n you are lying because I spray myself with perfume every day"

I shook my head.

"No Mary, you guess smelling stink and sweet at the same time" I told her seriously.

Soon Darci burst out of laughter, and I couldn't help but smile as well.

Mary so jumped on me causing me to let out a yelp as she landed on my boob.

"Ow! Mary!" I laughed in pain as I held on to my injury boob and tossed her off me.

"That's what you get! You two are seriously so not funny!"

Darci held her phone, I assume to take pictures of us, playing the fool together.

"Claire is missing out so much!" She commented.

"I hope you guys weren't recording that conversation" Mary said as she got up from the bed and extended her hand for me to get up.

I grabbed it and she helped me up from the bed.

"Nah, but it was funny" I told her, smiling.

She rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, now go and get ready for your date with Karl"

After getting dressed in my bedroom I stared at the mirror trying to hype myself up.

"You've got this Y/n. This is your first date, don't panic" I told myself.

"You've got this" I lied to myself.

I didn't put on makeup because why? It just a night at carnival, what person is going to wear makeup just to sweat it off?

Once I had finished with my hair, I grabbed my purse and check to see if I have enough.

'I think $800 should be enough, right?' I thought.

With that, I placed my bag across my shoulder and made my way downstairs.

(3RD POV)

Once, Y/n prepared herself and went downstairs. She could see Darci and Mary on the sofa with Apollo, who was twisting Darci's hair into Bantu Knot as Mary took pictures.

She smiled at the sight of her brother.

Maybe he could be a hairstylist one day.

Y/n decided to in the back because she had a little surprise for them outside.

She pasted the back of her house and made it up to the front.

In front of her house, Y/n opened the garage revealing her car that belonged to her father before he disappeared.

Her father told her once she was 16,she could start using this car then when 18 he would buy her a better car but she didn't mind this car at all.

She entered the car and started the cars up and drove out of the garage.

Inside Mary and Darci were still inside, waiting on Y/n.

"Uh! What is taking her so long!" Mary exclaimed.

"Maybe she just pep-talking herself? Besides I don't mind the wait, Apollo is doing such a great job with my hair" She commented.

"Really? You really think I'm doing a good job?" He asked her shyly.

She smiled and nodded.

"Of course!"

He sighed a breath of relief.

"I'm so glad you like it!" He said as he hugged her which she hugged back.

"Aw! You two are too cute. Hashtag adors" Mary said as she took a picture of them.

That's when a car horn could be heard in front.

Mary and Darci glanced at each other before they when to the door to see who it was.

Opening the door they say Y/n sitting in the driver's seat with big cat-eye sunglasses.

She dramatically took it off with a large grin.

"Get in losers! I'm taking you home so I can grab my date!"
