days went by and eloise spends most of her days with paul or sam, of course she still helps billy out but afterwards she was gone in a blink.

it went so far that after she ate dinner with jacob and billy that she bid her goodbye, saying she would stay at a friends house for the night since tomorrow was saturday. it made the young boy angry, not liking that she actually always slept at sam's or paul's place instead of their house, they are letting her live here so that should be her reason to stay, right?

the next morning she finishes getting ready, wearing some washed out jeans shorts and a crop top, her hair was open and she wore multiple necklaces and bracelets along with rings such as the one she always wore.

huffing she walks to jacob's room, knocking on his door aggressively, "jake! cmon or we'll be late!"

"then go without me." he grumbles out.

she sighs, "billy wont let you stay at home if your not sick so move your ass, you're my ride."

"your ride? why dont you ask paul to pick you up? you look very close with him anyways."

"fine, be that way idiot." she responds, walking into the bathroom with her tote bag, before she closes the door behind her and flicking her wrist.

the bathroom door opens in haste, brows furrowed as he could swear eloise was just in here. he shrugs it off, brushing his teeth before running to his truck quickly.

appearing in the janitor closet she stumbles a few steps back, hissing at the pain she felt in her heart suddenly, "oh no.. dont tell me.." she mumbles under her breath before walking out of the room in haste.

walking down the hallway she stops by her locker, pushing her bag inside and getting her notebook and physics book out, a single pen in her hand as she closes her locker again, getting spooked by paul yet again - a usual thing that occurs.

"paul!" she hissed out, slapping his arm as he laughs at her, "stop it, you'll give me a heart attack one day."

when he puts his hair back - he didnt really tie it back since his hairtie broke yesterday - eloise huffs, beckoning him to turn around before she closes her hand, letting a new hairtie appear before she ties his hair together in a low ponytail.

"all good, now princess paul wont have hair in his mouth all the time." she teases, moving past him with a bark of a laugh before he rushes after her like a lost puppy.

"so how about lunch together outside?" he asks her, falling into step with her.

she nods her head, agreeing to the idea, "yeah sure, i got art before lunch so i could take a bit longer."

he walks her to physic class before bidding her goodbye, walking inside the only free seat was next to jared cameron, she gives him a small smile before sitting down.

when in the middle of the class the teacher announced that he had tests to give back out - since they had one a few days prior - eloise gets hers with a 'A+' while jared wasnt so lucky, getting a 'D-' it made the boy angry, thinking he was in the right as he shakes in his seat.

eloise sneakily gets her phone out, texting sam that the boy would shift any moment now before she grabs his arm.

"mr. wilson! jared isnt feeling well, i'll accompany him to the nurse room." she tells him, already standing while jared looked confused.

"yeah, yeah. just dont get lost too much." he responds, not really caring about the two.

taking his notebook and book along with her own the blonde drags him out of class with a small worried smile that could be mistaken as something different. walking to her locker she puts both their stuff inside and grabs her tote bag, jared was still shaking and she didnt remove her hand from his wrist, muttering spells under her breath so he wouldnt phrase at school.

"why am i feeling so hot?" he asks breathless, "and why does everything hurt so much!"

she drags him further out quickly, before she sees sam's truck waiting at the side of the street. turning her head back to jared she gives him a sad smile, "its okay jared, we'll help you."

"help me? elosie i need to go to the hospital!" he states, his shaking increasing slightly.

her eyes turn wide before beginning her sprint, dragging jared after her before she opened the back door of sam's truck, pushing him inside before hopping in herself, her hand holding his this time.

she squeezed his hand before she leans forward towards sam who already drives towards a quiet and secluded area, "sammy we need to be quick, i cant hold it off any longer!"

he nods his head, increasing his speed before the three arrive at a small path that leads into the woods, they should be good here and so eloise leans over jared who was still shaking, sweating as if he was burning - which he did, he was indeed burning up to the point it hurt her to hold his sweaty palms - opening the door she pushes him out.

sam went behind the car, removing his clothes as he didnt have any change with him and shifted into his wolf, leaving eloise to calm him a bit but it didnt work out, one second she saw his helpless look and the next she pushes him to the ground and mutters a spell under her breath to force an invisible border around her, just in case.

as soon as he hit the ground he phrased.

a beautiful brown wolf was in his place and eloise quickly looks down to avoids eye contact, turning her head to sam in hopes their pack link was already up and working - and with a nod from him it was confirmed.

turning back to him but looking away from his eyes she speaks, "jared, jared i need you to stay calm alright? can you do that for me?"

he looks between sam and eloise, completely out of it and not really trusting anyone or anything at the moment.

balling her hands into first she shuts her eyes, muttering a spell again so she could hear what jared and sam were talking about in their pack link.

"jared, i know your confused but listen to her, listen to us!" sam says, trying to get into his head.

"what the heck? i just turned into a big ass dog and you want me to stay calm and listen?" he huffs out, disbelief clear in his tone, "hell i dont even know you that well!"

she shares a look with sam before he responds, "eloise will talk you through it alright? she'll help you the best she can just listen."

"sam, your a fucking big ass black fluffy dog that could eat me if i would be on my two feet. and eloise? what is she? why is she muttering some words that i cant even understand under her breath?"

trying to remain calm she walks towards him, startled he takes staps back but she was quicker. holding on his snout with one hand she mutters a spell and lifts her other one to let him see, "papilio lux.."

a blue butterfly flew off her palm, glowing as it reflected on jared's face and her own. without any control she looks up to his eyes, seeing them so concentrated on the butterfly before they shift her her own brown eyes.

suddenly he noticed the freckles that were all over her nose, her full lips, her chubby cute cheeks, her perfect eyebrows, her beautiful brown eyes that he loved so much.

he only saw her, everything else changed. all of a sudden its not gravity holding him to the planet, it was her. nothing else mattered to him. he would do anything, be anything for her, be it a protector, a friend, a brother or her lover.

sam huffs out in disbelief, making fun of eloise in his head which jared didnt hear - since he was seeing bits and pieces of their future together - making fun of her as she said she didnt want any of the wolves to imprint on her.

her hand went up to her mouth in shock, leaving his snout as he was still in a daze to even comprehend what just happened.

"did you just imprint on me?" she asks calmly, turning her head to sam, "did he just imprint one me? really?"

out of shock jared phrased back, laying on the floor nude which made eloise turn her body around quickly and mutter a spell, a few clothes fall in front of him and he just stared at her not knowing what to do as he couldnt believe what just happened.

after three minutes she still didnt hear anything so she huffs, "hurry up and change! your questions can wait till we're at sam's."

with that she walks towards sam's truck, giving him a silent nod as she grabs his clothes, "hm, thats your favorite shirt." she teases, "i'll place it as usual for you."

he nods his head, running into the woods as she placed the clothes on the hood of his truck, one hand hovering over the pile before it disappeared after the spell finished, "phasmatos lacus."

walking to the drivers seat she opens the door and gets in, rolling the window at the passenger side down as she calls out, "hop in wolf boy. we gotta go now." a teasing smile on her lips.

he scrambles up, already changed as he hurries to take his seat before eloise backs out of the path rather quick and drives the two to sam's place.

the silence was defeating in the car between the two but it was somehow comforting and not bad.

after the two - sam and eloise - explained everything to jared it was already noon, emily - sam's imprint that he met a few weeks ago at the grocery store - and eloise were cooking early dinner as sam told jared that he needed to stay away from home for a bit.

and while eloise was cutting the onion she cut herself, she was so in her thoughts that she didnt notice until jared saw it out of the corner of his eyes.

"eloise! hey! stop cutting." he snaps her out of her thoughts, "are you alright? you just cut into your finger."

she nods her head, "yeah sorry, i guess i was in my thoughts." she turns around throwing the onions away that her blood on it while she mutters, "asinta mulaf hinto.." healing the cut she had on her finger.

when she turns around she goes back to cutting, getting a weird look from jared who finally speaks up, "so you're a witch? and i imprinted on you? how often does that happen?"

"yes, i am a witch. and yes you did imprint on me, usually it happens every two-hundred years, guess it was my time to shine." she responds casually as she gives the board with onions to emily while getting a piece of meat from the pan and walks to sam who held a grin on his face, glad he was the one testing the food every time, "i didnt think it would be this soon tho."

"soon?" he asks, staring at sam as she holds the fork with the meat to him as he eats it, nodding his head before she walks back, "how old are you exactly? you said every two-hundred years."

"i'm around eight-hundred-and-sixteen years old." she answers making his eyes widen.

"and how are you so.. pretty i mean so young?" he stutters out.

she chuckles, "relax cameron." she tells him, "theres something called immortality. i used it on myself."

he nods his head in acknowledgement, "okay, well you cant die then right?"

"right." she says bored, "except you have another witch that is more powerful than me. but thats not happening because i come from a powerful bloodline and literally snatched the magic off of my parents."

"huh? what do you mean?"

"story for another time, now come help set up the table." she says before raising her voice, "you too sam! i see you back there trying to escape!"

he groans before he and jared took the plates and utensils they needed, setting the table for the four.

two weeks went by and eloise and sam have both been helping jared to control his phrasing, much to their surprise he was the calmest when she was around.

since she and jared stayed the night at sam's place snipping her fingers she wore a red and white top and some black basketball shorts along with her beat up converse shoes.

she turns to jared, seeing him absolutely mesmerized by her magic as he stares at her with puppy eyes, her eyes widen turning to the mirror again to fix her necklaces.

"what do you need?" she asks, letting a small playful huff out.

"can you do that to me as well? like flick your wrist and i have a different outfit on? sam's clothes are a bit big, even tho i got more muscles and grew taller but you know-"

she snips her fingers again, silencing him as he looks down to what he wore, some blue jeans shorts with a black shirt that matched her black shorts. turning around to him she grins, "dont tell me you dont like it?"

he shakes his head quickly, "no! no i love it."

the two hear sam chuckle from downstairs, having heard their conversation. she rolls her eyes playfully while taking her tote bag and throwing jared's bag pack to him before the two go back downstairs.

"how did you two sleep?" sam asks, placing a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon along with these tall ass muffins emily always did in front of each.

eloise grins, "never better! it was crampy at the beginning but after i pushed jared on the floor it was better."

"that hurt btw.." he mutter, biting into his muffin while he pouts.

sam and emily laugh at that, "should i take you two to school?" he asks them.

eloise shakes her head, "no need, you have patrol and emily wanted to go grocery shopping so i'll drive us." she says, before blurting out, "with your truck, since i dont have a car."

he stares at her before chuckling, "yeah sure, the keys are by the counter as usual."

the two finish breakfast before driving to school, many gave them weird looks because why the hell does jared cameron follow her suddenly like a puppy and with heart eyes at that.

it confused paul when she walked past him, looping her arms with jared as she listens to him attentively.

it was worse for jacob tho, he heard many things about sam and eloise but now jared as well? it was weird to him that she didnt come home that often anymore and worried that sam did something to her that made her stay away.

she on the other hand felt bad, first it was jacob that she didnt answer anymore, ignoring him most of the time and only speaking to billy and now it was paul as well. the two were close and hung out almost every day she could - four days a week after school or after work - and now she ignored his messages and didnt show up at school, same with jared. it was said the two had mono and now that they came back jared had short hair, more muscles, he was taller and he clung to eloise like a magnet.

the fact that the two isolated themselves completely from anyone else was what worried him, eloise was a girl that was quiet but if you get to know her you would know that she talks like a waterfall, thats what he liked about his best friend, she could never stop telling stories.

but now it was like she changed as well, appearance wise she was still pretty and received many compliments but her behavior changed. she was quiet, kept to herself, only talked to teachers or jared. it was weird, and he wanted to know why.
