It was after lunch and you were at your locker grabbing your textbooks when you heard voices. You creased your eyebrows trying to listen in but the only thing you could take out of it were who the voices belonged to. Ana, Flash and Brooke. Why was Brooke talking to them? And what was she telling them? After placing a book inside your locker, you closed your locker and looked up just to see Ana standing on your left and Flash on your right. "What do you guys want." You blurted out in both annoyance and anger.

"Oh nothing." Ana said and you looked at her confused but then looked over to Flash and he shoved you right when you were about to leave. It made you drop your books on the ground and they both left you alone in the hallway laughing. "See you loser!" Flash yelled and Ana added in "Yeah! Bye bitch!" God I hate them. Only if I could just-.. no I can't. You bent down and started to reach for one of your books but then saw someone else bend down in front of you grabbing another book of yours. Glancing up, you saw Peter.

You looked over his shoulder and saw Ana and Flash still laughing. Frustration flew through you wishing you could do something but then you were stopped by Peter placing a hand on your shoulder. "Hey, (Y/n). Calm down. They're not worth it. Just relax, your eyes are lighting up." He started to tell you but said the last part a bit low so students around you both didn't hear. Looking over at him, you could see that he was right. Your eyes were a yellow tint and after taking a deep breath, they went back to their normal (e/c) eye color. "Thank you Peter. They just get me so... ugh." You told him as you both stood up and he handed you back your book. "I know. Just don't let them get under your skin because that's all they're looking for after all." He mentioned and you gave a small smile.

"We're still on for the deli after school right?" He asked in a hoping tone and you chuckled softly "Yeah. We're still on. I'll meet you by your locker after the last bell." You told him back and he smiled at your response. Just then the bell rang for next period. "Alright I'll see you later then Owl." - "Bye Spider."

"Hey Bookworm. New book?" You asked Mj as you walked over to where she painting on her canvas. "Yeah. The 5th Wave." She told you as she reached for a small paintbrush. "That's cool. I'm gonna head back to my canvas now." You told her and walked back to your spot. Where you were placed was right next to Michelle's spot. Then the class was interrupted by Ana yelling something at the teacher. Both you and Mj looked up from your canvases to watch them.

"Mrs! (Y/n) ruined my painting!" Ana yelled and you looked at her confused "No I didn't. I was over at my spot the whole time. You can even ask Michelle." You said back and the teacher walked over to see Ana's painting. "What happened?" She asked when seeing her canvas and you awaited for an answer. The next thing you knew was that you had detention after school tomorrow for apparently messing up Ana's painting and having her get a fresh new canvas.

Leaving class after the last bell, you sighed and Mj placed a hand on shoulder before telling you "It's alright. I know you didn't do that. She was just looking for a way to get you into trouble. At least I'll be with you in detention tomorrow." She mentioned and you couldn't help but give a small smile. "Thank you Mj. Well, you better go before you miss your ride. I have that thing with Peter today." You replied and she wiggled her eyebrows as she nudged your arm.

Rolling your eyes, you both said bye and went your separate ways. Peter was already at his locker waiting for you. He just said bye to Ned and Ned was seen heading out of the front doors. "Hey Pete." You said once you arrived at his locker with a smile. "Hey
(y/n/n)." You shook your head and laughed lightly.

"What are you laughing about?" He asked with a smile on his face. "You caking me that. It's a first I've heard it from you." You told him and he playfully rolled his eyes. "Ha Ha. Funny. All ready?" - "Yup. Let's go."

The both of you chatted on the way to the deli and there were a few laughs here and there. "So Ned seriously asked you if you could lay Spider eggs?" You said laughing still and he nodded "Yeah! Like no, Ned I can't." He said and laughed with you. Wow is laugh is cute.. he's such an adorable nerd.. Wait.. did I just say that.. In a matter of time, you both arrived.

"Delmars" You said and smiled. "Yeah. Have you been?" He asked. "Once with Brazen." Was your response and the both of you entered. He follows right behind you and you gave a small wave at Delmar. "I'll order for you." - "you don't have to." - "I want to." He said and you nodded. "I'll wait for you over by the windows." You mentioned and he nodded as he walked over to Delmar. He told him your order and his when Delmar glanced over at you then asked.

"Girlfriend?"

"N-no. She's a Uh.. a f-friend." Peter said stuttering which Delmar picked up and smiled.

"Not yet huh."

"W-what?.. I mean.. uh.. no.." Peter said and sigh softly. "She's just a really great friend and I don't want to ruin it. What if I ask her and she doesn't feel the same. You know?" He said to Delmar quietly while you were looking out the window waiting for him.

"Look. Peter, you'll never know until you try. I know it's scary but if you really do like her, then it's worth the shot." Delmar responded and grabbed the sandwiches, handing them to Peter. "Get her tiger."

Peter smiled and rolled his eyes then went back towards the table where you were sitting with the sandwiches in his hand. "Hey." He said and you looked over at him with a smile. "Hey Spider." Shaking his head trying not to laugh, he sat down and slid the sandwich you wanted over. "Thank you."

"(Y/n)?" - "Yeah Pete?" - "I-I.. was wondering if y-you would like to um.. want to go on a d-date with me?" He spat out and your eyes widened. Did he just ask what I've been waiting to hear.. did my crush just ask me out??? Omg.. yes! "Of course I will. When?" You asked and he smiled "how does Saturday afternoon sound?" - "Sounds great." You replied at him with a wide smile as the two of you finished up.
