"Could that guy get any more stupid?" Haechan whined as the six of them walked towards their bikes. That night a huge accident took place at the arena, followed by safety measures being taken and all the racers were to avoid coming over for the timebeing. And worst part, no one knew when it was right to go back.
Myunghee felt a bit down, her job was only starting to get fun when this had to happen, nonetheless, she didn't let the little incident take the life out of her mood.
"Let's just, do something to shift our minds from this?" Myunghee said questioningly, her fists buried deep inside her pockets and Jeno turned to look at the girl.
"Ah, right, didn't we plan a beach outing?" Jeno said aloud and Renjun turned his head almost instantly.
"The fuck dude?" Chenle whined and Haechan rolled his eyes.
"You weren't supposed to say it!" Haechan complained as he wanted the plan to be a surprise for Myunghee.
"She knew already," Jaemin confessed as he sat on his bike and adjusted his helmet on.
"Who told you?" Renjun asked and looked at Myunghee who then turned to Jaemin.
"I did, now let's just go," Jaemin said and turned on his engine.
"You guys have the extra clothing I told you about don't you?" Haechan asked and the rest of them nod, soon enough, they started their individual bikes and rode out the grounds to the dark outside.
It felt calm despite the car horns and blazing winds, Myunghee felt the racing of her heart too pleasing as she followed after Chenle's bike. They took quite a few turns till Myunghee could tell the lack of buildings and shops as the beach neared.
Renjun showed his two fingers as usual before all the bikers took their last turn to the beach, the air there completely different and Myunghee felt her smiling as she took off her helmet.
"There's a shed there so y'all can go one by one and change," Renjun said.
"I'm going first!" Chenle said and ran only for Haechan to run after him.
"What are we gonna do here?" Myunghee asked and from the corner of her eyes she could see Jaemin turning his attention to her. Chenle and Haechan were gone already leaving the four behind.
"Talk, swim and play games for as long as we can," Renjun said and smiled. Myunghee felt thrilled and out of habit, licked her bottom lip, her cold lip ring making her shiver slightly. She turned to Jaemin who had his eyes on her already, this happened way too often now and yet, Myunghee didn't know how to respond, simply staring right back at the boy. His eyes were hooded like he was sleepy but he looked ethereal to her, under the moonlight with the sounds of waves crashing against each other.
"Ahem," Jeno sounded and both Jaemin and Myunghee tore away their intense stares to look at Renjun who was going to change next.
"You can go after him Myunghee, I have a bit of talking to do with Jaemin," Jeno said and Myunghee almost felt the tension before she brushed it off to walk all the way to the shed.
She dressed up in a dark blue crop top and shorts before bringing herself out, her eyes going to see the beautiful climate where everything looked grey, winds blowing her hair and the moon shining on the sea, Jeno was still speaking to Jaemin but stopped when his eyes met with Myunghee, a smile lacing on his lips.
Haechan, Renjun and Chenle were in the water already and so, Myunghee went up to them.
"Damn someone looks hot," Haechan said and smirked before Chenle smacked his head causing Myunghee a chuckle.
"Water fight baby," Haechan said in response to the little hit on his head, throwing a gush of water towards Chenle, water splashes around all the while, drenching all of them till Jeno came in and drowned Haechan for a bit.
"Save me!" Haechan gurgled making the rest laugh. Myunghee felt a small splash of water being thrown at her back making her turn, her smile not falling even when her eyes met with Jaemin. He simply looked into her eyes as they breathed in the salty aroma of the sea water. Their eyes shining under the stars and Myunghee's eyes widened when she saw a sneaky Chenle behind Jaemin.
"Dunk shot!" Chenle screamed before slamming Jaemin's face down the water, drowning him for a bit too.
The six of them had a fun time wiping the water off their hair and body.
"Damn the cold here," Renjun said as his body shivered, feeling the chills running up his pale skin.
"I think something's coming," Chenle said as he watched the skies turn darker and the surroundings look more grey, thunders sounding and drumming their hearts as lightnings came to the view. In less than a minute, rain poured down wildly and the winds grew stronger.
"It's a storm, head in!" Jeno yelled.
"Make sure you don't get left behind, hold hands or something," Myunghee heard Renjun's voice yell but her eyes were blinded by the wild storm. She felt her hands being held before she made a run for it. Her feet following those of the one holding her hand.
They finally reached the shed where it was far warmer. It was a 40 by 40, square shed, enough for the six to stay in.
"Everyone okay?" Haechan asked and they nod. The hold on Myunghee's hand got warmer and she didn't even have to look towards the person to tell who it was. A loud thunder was heard and at once, the lights went out making Chenle scream once again.
"Everything had to go wrong today," Haechan sighed.
"Not everything, we can still make out of this without feeling bummed out," Renjun said and placed his arm around Haechan's shoulder. Though dark, it wasn't blinding enough.
"Haechan, there should be a first aid kit or a box of supplies somewhere around here, help me find it," Jeno said aloud.
Myunghee gulped, feeling the drops of rain shower that poured on them from outside, dripping down her body.
"Here, there were a few towels here, only four though," Renjun said.
"I don't need one," Jaemin said and Myunghee looked at the boy.
"I'm fine now," she said to him and Jaemin turned, his eyebrow raising as he looked at the girl. Myunghee took his gaze down to their hands intertwined even now.
A little giggle was heard from Haechan who was collecting supplies like candles with Jeno. Jaemin immediately glared at Haechan before slowly letting go of her hand.
"Wait, how are we going to light these candles?" Haechan asked and Myunghee's ears perked up.
"Leave them to me," Myunghee said as she looked towards her clothes from earlier that she left at the shed, she rummaged through her jeans to take out the lighter from her pockets.
The night was gonna be far too long for the six youngsters.
