"Which one's yours?" Natasha hollers as we reach a row of motorcycles.
"Black. Brown seat" Yelena answers quickly "Where are my keys?"
Natasha throws a pair of keys into the air and catches them with a smug look on her face, making Yelena glare at her.
"ะั
, ััะบะฐ" Yelena mutters.
(ah, bitch)
"You get used to it" I assure the blonde.
A smashed up car is abruptly thrown down the street and my heart drops.
"Any day now" Natasha says sarcastically as a tank looking vehicle spins around the corner.
I throw myself onto the bike, wrapping my arms around my sister and Yelena climbs on behind me, doing the same. Natasha revs the engine and speeds off down the street, the tank chasing us.
As we get further down the street, a van blocks our way so the redhead drifts to the side and races down a narrow alleyway before we come out onto a busy street. A widow on a bike starts chasing us but we swerve through the traffic before narrowly missing bullets by passing the tracks before a train goes by, covering us.
Due to a punctured tyre and the speed we're going, Natasha isn't able to stop in time before we hit a wall, sending the three of us flying over it and into oncoming traffic below. We all land on top of a car before roll off onto the ground and jumping to our feet.
Yelena pulls out a gun and points it at the driver of the car we landed on and he backs away from the car in fear, running away.
"ะคะฐะฝัะฐััะธะบะฐ" Yelena mumbles, getting into the car.
(fantastic)
"You can't just steal a guy's car" Natasha scolds her as I jump into the back seat.
"So you want me to chase him down and unsteal it?" Yelena sasses her as Natasha gets into the driver seat.
"No, we do not" I answer her.
Natasha starts trying to get out of the traffic by slamming into other cars and I groan in pain.
"Okay. Any time now, please" Yelena says sarcastically.
"Shut up!" Natasha snaps.
My phone starts ringing in my pocket and I grab it, answering it before looking at the caller ID.
"Hello?" I speak up.
"Hey, doll" James greets me happily.
"Hi, ะดะตัะบะฐ" I chirp, both Natasha and Yelena giving me looks of disbelief.
(baby)
The widow from before gains on us again and starts shooting at us, causing me to duck down.
"Is that gunfire?" James asks me, sounding concerned.
"Pfft, no" I lie.
"Anastasia" He says in a warning tone.
"Okay, fine. I may or may not be in a car chase" I admit.
"Bucky, can you call back later?! We're a little busy right now!" Natasha shouts loudly so he can hear.
"Do you want me to come and find you?" James asks worriedly.
"No, James. I want you to stay right where you are, okay? Don't you dare try to swoop in and save me" I warn him sternly.
"Stas" He pleads.
"James, stay there!" I demand "I'll call you later"
"Okay, okay. I'll speak to you later" He huffs "Be safe"
"No promises" I chuckle before hanging up.
More shots are fired at the car and before I can cover myself, I feel a pain erupt in my shoulder. I scream in pain, slouching in my seat and grabbing the bloody hole in my leather jacket.
"This is my favourite jacket!" I complain.
"Keep pressure on that!" Natasha warns me.
"Okay, you got a plan or shall we just stay duck and cover?" Yelena snaps at Natasha.
"Yeah, my plan was to drive us away" Natasha says.
"That's a shit plan" Yelena retorts.
"Welp, I guess there's no sugarcoating things here" I mutter bluntly.
Yelena grabs the steering wheel and spins the car so we're driving in reverse before opening the car door with her boot. The open door is ripped off by a metal pole and it is sent flying into the widow chasing us, knocking her off her bike.
"Nice job, Lena" I hum with an impressed tone as Natasha turns the car around.
"You're welcome" The blonde replies.
Just when I think that we've lost them all, the tank from earlier swerves around the corner and slams into the back of us.
"Oh, shit. He's back" Yelena comments.
"Well, he can fuck off" I snap, glaring back at the tank in pure annoyance.
"Put your seatbelts on" Natasha orders.
"What?" I question.
"Now!" Natasha snaps.
"You're such a mom" Yelena groans as we both buckle up.
"Tell me about it" I scoff.
The car suddenly explodes from below us and is sent flying backwards, flipping over. I cover my head as the car hits the tank and is catapulted forwards, shooting down the stairs into the train station. People scream and start running as our upside down car comes spinning into the station. The vehicle finally stops spinning and I groan, grabbing a knife from my boot. I cut the belt, letting my body hit the roof of the car with a thud before crawling out of the wrecked scrap. Shaking off my disorientation, I stumble around the car to find Natasha trying to pull Yelena from the car.
"Natasha, no" Yelena cries, pushing her away "I think i'm bleeding"
"Yelena, hurry" I rush her, pulling her to her feet with her non injured arm and she tries to put pressure on the wound with a piece of material.
"No. Not now, trust me" Natasha snaps, yanking the material from her hands and dragging her away.
We run through the crowds of people to get away from the guy in the mask following us, people parting like the red sea in fear. I leap onto the partition of the escalators and slide down it, Yelena and Natasha right behind me. People's heads turn as we pass them, looking at us with a mixture of disbelief and confusion.
A shield that looks a lot like Steve's comes whizzing towards us and I slip off the partition first, yanking Yelena down onto the ground with me as Natasha rolls to the side. The shield hits a pillar, wedging itself into the metal and I grimace at the thought of that hitting one of us.
"Get up" I order, tugging Yelena off the ground.
We run until we reach an air vent, pulling ourselves up into it and hiding in there. Yelena finally ties the material around her upper arm and I grab it from her hands, tightening it until she grunts in pain. The blonde then sits up and I slip off my jacket, allowing her to tie a t-shirt around my shoulder to stop the bleeding.
"You okay?" Natasha asks and I nod.
"Yeah. Great plan" Yelena replies sarcastically "I love the part where I almost bled to death"
"I'd have to say my favourite part was playing human pinball in a car wreck" I hum with the same amount of sarcasm and Yelena nods in agreement.
"This is cozy" Yelena points out, looking around the vent.
"Barton and I spent two days hiding out up here" Natasha states.
"That must have been fun" I comments, noticing the drawn knots and crosses on the metal next to games of hangman.
"Who the hell is that guy?" Natasha asks Yelena.
"Dreykov's special project. He can mimic anyone he's ever seen. It's like fighting a mirror. Dreykov only deploys him for top priority missions" Yelena explains.
"This doesn't make any sense" Natasha huffs.
"Well, the truth rarely makes sense when you omit key details" Yelena replies.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Natasha snaps.
"You didn't say one word about Dreykov's daughter" Yelena points out "You killed her"
"Stop it" I warn the blonde, knowing how the redhead feels about this situation.
"I had to" Natasha defends herself "I needed her to lead me to Dreykov"
"You don't have to explain yourself, Nat" I assure her and she shakes her head.
"Dreykov's daughter was collateral damage. I needed her to be sure" Natasha continues.
"And here you are, not so sure" Yelena sighs.
"I needed out" Natasha stresses.
