It's been a few months since we arrived in Wakanda and T'Challa has allowed James and I to live in a cosy little shack near a small farm after realising that the Barnes man was sneaking into my room every night, not using his own room at all. Shuri has been slowly but surely deprogramming the Winter Soldier from James' brain while also helping me teach him how to use modern technology, something he is still struggling with.

James and I have been talking a lot about our pasts to jog his memory which seems to be working brilliantly, much like it did for me and Natasha. He told me all about his childhood in Brooklyn before he met Steve. Before the death of his parents he and his little sister Rebecca were really close, but after the accident she was sent to a boarding school and he never spoke to her again. The Barnes man told me about how he used to protect Steve from bullies because he was too scrawny to do it himself, a thought that made me laugh because I've only ever known Steve as a bulky guy with a shield and a hell of a right hook. He talked extensively about the war, about the friends that he made and all the fun nights before his last mission on the train.

I told him about what it was like to grow up in the Red Room, trying my best to focus on the small amount of decent memories that make me smile. I then talked about my sisters, Natasha and Yelena, and my 'family' in Ohio. James was really interested in how I met Steve and about my experience when I first joined the Avengers after leaving HYDRA.

At the current moment I am stood watering the plants I've grown fond of, wearing a navy blue sweater of James' that just barely covers the red satin lingerie set I'm wearing underneath. I feel James' eyes on me and I have all morning but he says nothing, pretending to read the book in his hand. I place the now empty jug down and turn to the man, smiling widely when his head snaps down to the book.

"James, ะดะตั‚ะบะฐ?" I call out and he looks up at me.
(baby)

"Yes?" He replies nervously, afraid he's been caught.

"Your book is upside down, and you've been on the same page for two hours" I declare.

His cheeks heat up a bright pink colour in embarrassment at getting caught and I laugh in amusement, padding over to my lover.

"I- I can explain" The Barnes man stutters, as I take the book from his hand and place it on the coffee table.

"Oh, yeah?" I hum with a raised brow.

"Well, no" He admits and I giggle, placing my hands on his shoulders.

I sit down, straddling his lap and his eyes widen a little in surprise, hand moving to my waist to keep me steady.

"If you want some attention then all you gotta do is ask" I assure him and he looks at me with a dopey grin on his face.

"I don't wanna bother you, doll" He replies as his hand slides down to my thigh, rubbing the exposed skin softly.

"You're never a bother to me. I want to be near you all the time" I tell him with a warm smile.

"You do?" He grins happily.

"Of course I do, silly" I giggle, messaging his shoulders "You're my person"

The raven haired man couldn't smile any wider if he tried, rubbing small circles on my thigh and leaning forward to place a light kiss to my lips.

What James intended to be a chaste kiss turns into a deep passionate one when I grab the back of his neck and kiss him harder. The kiss soon gets more heated, like it often does, and I rock my hips against his. James moans into my mouth and pulls me closer, his hand sliding under the sweatshirt to grip at my hip.

Before the kiss can get any further, theres a knock at the door and we pull apart, eyes widening. I jump off his lap and he places a pillow were I was sat as I head to the door, opening it to be met with T'Challa.

"Good evening, your majesty" I greet him with a teasing smile and he rolls his eyes.

"Must you insist on calling me that?" He asks in annoyance.

"Would you prefer me to call you T Chizzle?" I question in amusement and he laughs.

"My little sister is an awful influence on you" He declares.

"Oh, please" I scoff, waving him off "She's an angel"

"I don't quite believe we're talking about the same human being" He deadpans and it's my turn to laugh.

"What's that?" I ask, looking at the small brown box in the King's hand.

"It arrived with your name on it" He answers, handing it to me "Let Bucky know that Shuri requires him in the lab at 7pm for another deprogramming session"

"Will do. Thanks, T'Challa" I chirp, taking the box he hands me.

He walks off and I close the door, walking back into the living room.

"Shuri wants you in the lab at seven" I tell James as I open the box in my hands.

"What's in the box?" He asks curiously.

I pull out an old black tape with a red X on the front of it and my heart drops as I discard of the brown box it came in.

"A tape" The Barnes man answers himself.

I break open the plastic and start frantically unwinding the tape until I find some small numbers written in bright red.

"What the hell is that, Stas?" James demands in concern.

"Coordinates" I answer, looking up at him "Natasha's in trouble"

I drop the tape into the small metal trash can for recycling and rush into the kitchen with it, placing it on the ground. James follows me like a confused puppy as I grab lighter fluid, spraying it into the trash can before lighting a match and throwing it in too. The tape bursts into flames and James yanks me away from the mini explosion, looking me in disbelief.

"Was that really necessary?" He huffs as I slip out of his grip, heading into the bedroom.

"Extremely" I answer simply, grabbing a back pack and shoving clothes into it.

"Where are we going?" James questions.

"You're not going anywhere. I'm going to help my sister" I retort, pulling on a pair of black skinny jeans.

"That's not fair" He argues as I yank on my black combat boots "Let me come with you"

"No" I state.

"Come on, doll" He pleads.

I turn to him and grab his face in my hands, the man looking down at me with a frown.

"Shuri still hasn't finished with your deprogramming, and you're doing so well. You gotta stay here and finish that because that's your priority right now. You hear me, big guy?" I explain to him.

"But what if something happens to you?" He counters worriedly.

"I'll call you, okay? As often as I can" I promise him.

"Fine. But you better be careful" He warns me and I smile warmly.

"No promises" I shrug.
