Note: Yuichiro is very overprotective of Mui, but still rude towards him. Count it as trying to toughen him up!

No one's POV:
Muichiro smiled, as him, his older brother, the water pillar, and insect pillar ran through Natagumo mountain without making a single noise. This was amazing to him!

'wow, so exciting! My first mission with hashiras!' He squealed in his head.

Back when his brother finally agreed to become a slayer, and allowed muichiro to join as well. They quickly climbed up the ranks. Unfortunately, by the time muichiro reached level Kinoe in the ranks. Also known as the strongest demon slayers, right after Hashiras of course. Yuichiro was already a pillar, and as you know. Only nine pillars are allowed.

A hashira's time couldn't be wasted at all, meaning muichiro rarely ever got to see his brother. that's why he was so happy. Plus he had never met the other pillars. Of course other than Giyuu Tomioka since he trained under him, by the master's orders, so he was ecstatic to at least know another!

"I'll go this way, see you Tomioka-san, and Tokito-san" The insect pillar, Shinobu Kocho said waving at Yuichiro, and Giyuu before going in the opposite direction.

Muichiro liked her. She smiled a lot.
She must be happy a lot! (💀)

"Kocho was right to move. Let's split up." The water pillar, Giyuu Tomioka said quietly.

Muichiro also liked him. He's very quiet though.

Anyway, he also disappeared into a different part of the mountain. It was only the twins left running through the mountain. That didn't last long though.
"You can handle yourself." Yuichiro spoke. After that was said. Only muichiro was left.

'ahh....I wanted to get to spend time together!' Muichiro sighed hoping he'd get a chance next time.
Over the 2 years he's been a demon slayer. He had gotten braver, and less of a scared little child.
Time has changed.
Both him, and his brother Yuichiro were now 14.
Yuichiro uses a breathing style he created himself deprived from Water, and Mist breathing.
While Muichiro just used Mist breathing.
He also surprisingly made his own form as well.

Now back to the story.

Muichiro quickly took out his Nichirin blade. He had sensed a low level demon.
Actually many demons were on this mountain, and they were very weak.
Muichiro ran towards the aura, and there it was.
Wandering through the mountain.
A smile stayed on his face, as he looked at the demon with pity. "Poor person...being turned into such a horrible creature..." He hated demons, they hurt people. The reason he became a slayer was to protect others. He vowed to give his life protecting them!

Though that didn't stop him from feeling bad for the demons. Some were once innocent civilians.
He sighed out loud
'no time for feeling bad now..'
His job was to slay demons.
"Mist breathing. Second form: Eight-Layered Mist"
Once that was said. Only a single thrust of his sword was needed to finish off the demon.

'Hm. Maybe there really is a Kizuki member here. No way a demon like that could be making other slayers go missing. Mayb-'  His thoughts were cut short when he heard a struck of lightening.
He flinched at the sudden noises, and his eyes turned to black dots.

'WHAT WAS THAT?! IT'S NOT EVEN STORMING! WHAT IF THERE'S A DEMON WITH A BLOOD DEMON ART OF LIGHTENING!! I'M SCARED OF LIGHTENING! I'D NEVER STAND A CHANCE!!' Muichiro kept going on, and on, until he had to slap himself.
"Shut up muichiro, your brother's a hashira, don't disappoint him by being a crybaby"
He encouraged himself, and continued to run the mountain.
'yep that's right. Don't be scared. Just smile.' He had a past trainer other than Giyuu. He was told to always smile. Even through tough times.

Yuichiro usually had to tell muichiro to stop when it got creepy!

Muichiro could hear the clashing of something, so he ran in that direction sensing a powerful demon.
His smile grew.
'that must be the demon.... I want to kill it!' Muichiro thought, wanting to avenge those fallen slayers. It scared him a bit on how he sounded like his brother.

When he finally made it.
All he could already see was the intense battle of a slayer, and......!!
Wow...!!
'There really is a member of the twelve Kizuki here!' Even though a battle was going on. Muichiro could still see it was "Lowermoon 5" the slayer was fighting.
He looked amazed.
A boy that looked around his age with fire red, burgundy hair fought the demon. Pink flames were going around as well. He thought it was very pretty...... This distraction made it impossible for Muichiro to notice the demon dangling in the air by threads, until the Lowermoon demon that the slayer was fighting had finally been beheaded

Muichiro was..... Even more amazed.
He managed to behead a Lowermoon demon!!

The boy looked exhausted. Which immediately caused him to fall down....but what Muichiro didn't expect was another demon to fall down with him.
He watched the interaction clearly about to jump into action to save the boy, until the slayer had pulled the demon close, like into a hug.

Muichiro was threw off by that.
'Why is he hugging.....her?' Muichiro asked himself, basically guessing it's gender.

He looked to the side for a quick second, as he had seen something out the corner of his vision. His eyes widening in the process.

Muichiro's POV:
I stared in complete horror, as the Lowermoon slowly stood up, walking slowly towards the demon, and boy.
'Even after being beheaded...it still moves?!'
'Wait no... that's not it.'

'While he was seconds from beheading it. The demon detached its own head with the threads that are coming out of its hand, so it could live....this demon knew this boy would behead him, so it didn't risk it!'

No one's POV:
The demon reattached its head!!
Now Muichiro was a bit angry. He couldn't let this slayer get killed. They seemed powerful, he could see the amount of strain that was put on their body, yet they still fought.
The Slayer Corps couldn't lose a person like that!

Again, before he could jump into action, he heard a breathing form being activated.

"Water breathing, Eleventh Form: Dead calm.."
Muichiro looked to the side just to see...the water hashira!
Muichiro calmly stepped closer to the battle field so he could get a better look at the pillar in action.

Muichiro stared impressed....
'It looked like he was moving slowly, but...he was so quick!'
But he needed to call down.
Tomioka, the boy, and demon had seemed to take notice of him. Muichiro raised a brow, as the smile that had left his face a few minutes ago returned in an instant. He took out his sword, and just looked at it. Soon his gaze returned to the three who were looking at him.

He noticed.
That demon, and boy.
They look oddly similar.
Could they be relatives?

Giyuu stared at the level Kinoe slayer knowing he's a higher rank than the slayer named 'Tanjiro Kamado'.
Though Muichiro wasn't attacking. He wondered why...
Just then. Giyuu turned in a different direction, and deflected the attack of the pillar that came speeding his way to try to poison the demon named 'Nezuko'.

Shinobu landed away from them.

"Hm..? Tomioka-san?" She said surprised while smiling, but quickly gained composure.
"Ara~ Ara~ Tomioka-san why'd you deflect my attack~?"

Giyuu didn't answer, and just stared. He was guarding the two for some reason.

Muichiro felt another presence.
This one felt familiar, and it was coming from above.
Was everyone here targeting this one demon or??

He sighed, as he leaped above Giyuu. Which was a good idea, as he heard his brother say "Cloud and Haze, Third form: Heavy Rain-Hittled Mountain"

Yuichiro came speeding from above, and tried to behead Nezuko. Which didn't work, as Muichiro quickly deflected that attack. Sending them both back meters away from each other.

"what the hell-!?" Yuichiro said looking beside him just to see shinobu with a tick mark on her face.

"Tokito-san's brother~? Why'd you block your brother's attack?"

Muichiro looked over to Tomioka for a split second, before he just shrugged.
The boy from earlier named 'Tanjiro' stared surprised. Another slayer protecting him...., And his demon sister....?

"Move out of the way Muichiro!! How do you not know that's a damn demon!?" Yuichiro shouted from their side.

"....."
His eye twitched when he didn't get a response.
"Tch"
Yuichiro then started running towards the demon, sword in hand trying to behead it.

"Move Tomioka-" He tried to say, but his brother got in his way. "Nii-san, I can already see with the intent in your aura, you were planning to stab Tomioka-san right? It's against the rules you know." Muichiro said blocking his brother's Katana with his own.

Yuichiro was thinking of just pushing muichiro away, but that might hurt him.... Then again Muichiro might not fall back.
Obviously there's still is a possibility of him falling back.

Since. In a 1v1 battle. Strength itself would go to Yuichiro.

"You want to talk so much about rules. Protecting a demon, and not allowing me to slay it, is also against the rules!" The older rolled his eyes.

Giyuu stared at the two brothers.
Why was Yuichiro's brother protecting Nezuko...?
Well either way. He shouldn't worry that much. Shinobu was coming his way. He needed to think quickly.
 
"Can you move?" He asked Tanjiro.
"H-huh?"
"Even if you can't, make yourself. Take your sister, and run" He said getting into a fighting stance.
Tanjiro's eyes sparkled.
"Tomioka-san...." He looked at noticed that woman was truly speeding towards them.
He sighed, and breathed trying to get some strength.
"Sorry for the trouble!" And with that. He picked up Nezuko's box, and her. Then made a run for it.

Shinobu stared at Tomioka.
"All this for a demon? Tomioka-san if you let me pass, I'll keep this a secret." She smiled. Her sword clashing with Giyuu's. Who just shook his head.

Yuichiro had managed to get pass Muichiro, who was chasing him, while he was chasing that slayer, and demon.
"Nii-san!!" Muichiro yelled running after his brother.

"Go away Muichiro!" Yuichiro hadn't even turned his head. He was focused on Tanjiro.
'Is he a slayer? He has the uniform, and Nichirin blade. Then why the hell is he with a demon.?'

Muichiro sensed another presence. Yuichiro did too.

They both saw a girl around their age come from above, and step on Tanjiro's back, pushing him down onto the ground.

Muichiro looked confused, and surprised as to who this was.
"Great job Tsuyuri!" Yuichiro praised her.
Muichiro heard it, and his eyes widened.
'Yuichiro complimenting someone..?!' Muichiro was surprised, but couldn't help feeling jealous.

Yuichiro never complimented him when he does something. It was nerve-wracking.

Though he couldn't think about that....

When he snapped back to reality.
He saw the boy reaching his hand out telling the demon girl something, but immediately got cut off when that mysterious girl Yuichiro called 'Tsuyuri' used her leg to hit the boy's head, it made him pass out.

Muichiro shivered. 'A leg strong enough to knock someone out. She must be crazy strong! But is the boy okay?!' Muichiro had saw the demon get chased by the girl, and soon enough his brother. There swords swinged, but she kept shrinking, and growing. Basically dodging every attack.

'Why isn't she attacking? Hm Never the matter. My job is simply to slay demons.' Tsuyuri, or known as Kanao thought.

Muichiro ran to the boy.
'Is he still alive?! AH, OH NO PLEASE DON'T BE DEAD' Muichiro panicked kneeling down towards the boy's neck. 'h-his pulse!' Muichiro immediately went to check that.

He heaved a sighed when he felt one.
"Maybe I should carry him. Leaving him passed out in a mountain full of demons is dangerous." Muichiro sighed. He lifted Tanjiro up onto his back, grabbed the box, and started running in the direction he saw his brother, and Tsuyuri go in.

'That demon....I still assume they're relatives, could that be why she wasn't attacking this boy'

Muichiro thought this was extraordinary. A demon not attacking their sibling.
'A normal demon would immediately try to eat their own sibling. These two are different...' Muichiro smiled gently.
'I hope they haven't slayed that demon yet... plus she wasn't attacking us either... Could she be friendly?'

Muichiro's thoughts were cut short, as a crow came screaming. "CAW!! KAMADO TANJIRO, KAMADO NEZUKO, AND TOKITO MUICHIRO ARE TO BE BROUGHT BACK TO HEADQUARTERS CAW!! BRING THEM BACK!!"

Muichiro looked surprised.
Who were Nezuko, and Tanjiro?

He looked at the male on his back.
'OH THAT'S TANJIRO! Then that demon girl is Nezuko!' Muichiro finally got their names.

'But, why am I needed. Is it because I defended the demon? Of course it is. It's against the rules.' Muichiro sulked.
He continued running with Tanjiro, and the box, until both Tsuyuri, and Yuichiro were in sight.

They seemed to have cornered the Nezuko, but weren't attacking. Yuichiro looked pissed, but Kanao seemed to be asking the demon 'Nezuko' something.

Muichiro was close enough so he could hear it.

"Are you Nezuko?" Kanao spoke.
Nezuko just nodded.

"Fuck! All that running for nothing?!" Yuichiro was fuming. Muichiro went beside Yuichiro.
"Nii-san, please refrain from using vulgar language?" He tried to calm his twin down.
Though that didn't work out.

"Didn't you hear the crow dumbass. You were called to HQ as well. Meaning you're doomed." Yuichiro said. This time you could hear the hint of worry in his voice.

"Well. Tomioka-san was protecting them...?" Muichiro looked at Tanjiro who was still on his back, and the demon girl.
"By the way, I think this box is meant for you- uh Nezuko...? The sun will be up soon." He wondered if he said it right.

Nezuko looked up. "Mmph mmm" Muichiro set the box down, so Nezuko could climb into it. she did.
After that he closed the box's door, and picked it up by the strap.

"Uh....Tsuyuri-san-? Will you be leaving now?"
Muichiro watched, as she picked up a coin out of her pocket, and flipped it.

She then turned to him smiling.
"Please call me Kanao, and yes. I'll be taking my leave now, as I have other duties to tend to. I trust Tokito-san, and you, will be able to handle this." Muichiro thought she was very beautiful. She also had a nice voice. It was gentle. Gentle just like his mother's, like Amane-san's, and just like insect hashira's.

Yuichiro nodded, and 'Kanao' left.
Muichiro smiled.
