The rules are basically what you'd expect, but please make sure you read them in full!  We want everyone to have a solid understanding of what is expected of community Senators.  

Everyone is a human → Goes without saying, but be kind! The Riordanverse is a place where everyone can be their authentic selves, and we embrace that within the Senate and try to reflect that within the community. People who show discrimination or hate don't represent what Rick Riordan is all about, and therefore, will not be accommodated within our community.

Collaboration → everyone is invited (and expected) to share their thoughts on new and old projects! Share your ideas and consider the ideas of others (those are our brain babies). If someone @s the entire Senate, don't stay silent!

Involvement → If you want to join the Senate, you need to be following the a_demigod_community account. Once you are on the Senate, please continue to engage with the account and then follow the super secret Senate communication account (it'll follow you first, don't worry about finding it).  Additionally, prospective Senators must be part of the Percy Jackson fandom.  Having read every single book is not necessarily a requirement, but you must be knowledgeable of the series and this fandom in order to help direct a community that is, in nature, centered exclusively around PJO content.  

Confidentiality → We do use some off-site programs (mostly just Google). Google will typically hide personal information (such as your real name), but if gods forbid anything is exposed, just keep that information to yourself. Nobody wants to know that, and sharing other people's personal info can actually get you banned from Wattpad. Additionally, this account is password protected and while we will share the password should you need it, we expect this password to remain relatively under wraps to keep the account secure.  We also protect a super, secret Senate account that needs to be kept under wraps. 

Be in compliance with Wattpad's guidelines → You probably are in line with Wattpad's guidelines.

Efficiency → This isn't as serious as your English class by any means, but we do try to take deadlines seriously so that we can deliver content to the members of the community in a timely manner. Imagine signing up for a contest and never receiving results! When you join the Senate, expect to communicate progress and delays.

There's no such thing as ghosts → Nobody's going to get salty if you can't get something done on time, but you need to communicate. If we don't know where you are, we can't know that you still want to be a member of the Senate, so please don't expect to still be in the Senate six months from now if you drop off the face of the earth randomly.

That should be about everything! We don't like to be hardasses, but things like this keep the account a fun and safe place for everyone involved. The Senate reserves the right to add rules as deemed appropriate or as situations arise (because we don't want to accidentally manifest situations, but we do want to respond to them appropriately).
