"junhee-ah!" she called out to the boy as he walked with his friends on the school grounds during lunch period.

the boy turned around, a smile on his lips as he catched her in his arms, "how can i help?"

"you're good in geography, right?" she asks him and seeing him nod she continues, "could you help me after school? i saw this nice cafe we could go!"

his friends snicker when they noticed she was actually subtly asking him out and the class president didnt hesitate to agree.

"sure, i'll cancel my plans with the others."

she shakes her head with a gentle smile, "dont worry, we can do it tomorrow. hang out with your friends!"

she gives him another hug before running to yoonseo and seeun.

"did you do it? did you ask him out?" yoonseo is quick to ask.

she nods her head slowly, her hands behind her back as she answers, "i did.. but he already had plans with his friends so i told him we could do it some other day."

"aish!" yoonseo hissed out, playfully hitting sooha's arm, "he wanted to cancel his plans right? why didnt you say so!"

sooha lets out a laugh, "you really are a detective! how did you know he said he would cancel them?"

"i saw his look! sooha he really likes you, believe me i would know!" 

sooha gives her a smile before looking to seeun, "what are you doing seeun-ah?"

"i think junhee-ah doesent like you." she tells her which got her a shocked and hurt look before she continued, "i think junhee-ah loves you."

yoonseo quickly nods her head, "yea! have you seen his lovesick eyes? he's like a puppy that follows her when she's nearby!"

seeun grins at yoonseo who does the same, the two laughing at sooha's look as they playfully shove her to the side.

"ani.." she mumbles, "he isnt my puppy and i dont think he loves me maybe like but nothing more."

yoonseo stares past her before she gives her a giddy smile, "he's watching you! i'm telling you junhee-ah is in love with you!"

she shakes her head, "although i love him.. i dont think he feels the same.."

seeun shakes her head, "you are so stupid! what do you learn all day, huh? this boy is clearly in love with you!"

opening her eyes she stared into junhee's beautiful brown ones. she couldnt help herself as tears started to gather in her eyes as she lets them fall. junhee quickly used his thump, pushing them away as he pulled her into his chest as he sits up with her.

"i dont wanna die..." she mumbles.

he nods his head, his hold getting a bit tighter, "you wont, i wont let you die. never."

"junhee-ah.."

he hums and she slowly looks up to him, "i want forever with you.. please dont leave me.."

he nods his head as he gives her a smile, "then i'll give you forever, wherever you go i'll follow you."

she chuckles in a painful way as she puts her head on his chest again while mumbling, "then you are really my puppy.."

he chuckles before he looks around and sees the others cry as well, some calling out to yeol.

'before the vote concluded, the police used their skill.'

'choi joowon has been executed by the mafia. choi joowon was a mafia.'

sooha stands up with junhee's help as the two look around scanning the terrified faces of their classmates as they grip each others hand tightly.

'participants, please find the mafia and begin voting.'

yoonseo looks around as she asks, "where is joowon?"

hearing a scream yoonseo is first to run into the bathroom followed by a few others which included jungwon, junhee and sooha herself who stood next to kyung jun.

as they all saw a puddle of blood kyung jun pushes sooha's shoulder gently forwards, "class representative, you open it."

she slowly nods her head, looking up to him before walking forwards. she slowly opens the door before she flinched at what she saw.

taking a step to the side the rest sees joowon laying slumped in the corner, his head drowned in blood with an open wound.

she walks towards him again as she puts two fingers on his pulse on his neck and then his wrist, feeling no pulse she goes back a few steps, "he's.. dead."

she went to junhee's side as he grips her hand again before da beom lets out in a terrified and scared voice, "its because of the mafia! this mafia game. are we all going to die too?!"

kyung jun quickly grabs his shirt, "no one is going to die here, you bastard!"

yoonseo walks forwards, crouching down as she puts her finger into joowon's blood, "the blood is still wet, he died recently."

sooha nods her head, "its seven a. m. and we fell asleep around midnight right after the voting.. which concludes he must have died in those six to seven hours.."

kyung jun nudged junhee and sooha, one more harsher than the other, "what happens now, banja?"

she stays quiet before giving him a determined expression, "we have to leave. gather everyone and tell them to leave."

the group nod their head, leaving one by one as junhee and sooha help yoonseo up as she was dry gagging from seeing the blood too long.

the four quickly run to the front yard before sooha along with junhee and somi lead them outside, having gotten junhee's message that they would leave.

"where do we go now?" somi asks, looking around to find a possible way.

junhee turns to her, pointing to the left as he says, "i saw a gas station nearby, lets head there."

the group of student follow his idea, jogging over the parking lot to leave when a sudden alarm stopped them.

'the game must be played inside the boundary.'

sooha looks at the floor and sees a white line, junhee sees it as well as he yells out, "wait a moment! dont move!"

"why?" a boy asks as he runs forward not wanting to wait, "do you believe this shit?"

"stop! sang hwan, stop running!" sooha yells out but he didnt heed her warning instead he stumbles over the white line as his friend who wanted to stop him does the same.

'lee sang hwan will be executed for breaking the rules.'

'kim hyeon suk will be executed for breaking the rules.'

they closed their eyes before opening them again and having milky white eyes, no longer being in control as they began to bash their heads against each other. 

the two fight, making the concrete road and their surroundings weapons to kill themselves.

sooha unconsciously grabs junhee's hand as she stares at the madness in front of her. he gives her a sad look, he honestly didnt think they would survive this but was determined to protect the girl he loves.

'lee sang hwan and kim hyeon suk were civilians.'

the class was at the front yard, each trying to stomach what they just saw outside with their classmates.

seung bin suddenly throws his phone on the ground in frustration, "sibal!"

da beom quickly went to retrieve it as seung bin kicks the phone further away, "why dont our phones work? why doesent anything fucking work!?"

"will we die here?" someone asks and sooha quickly shakes her head.

leaning away from the pillar her body was on, "we wont, we just have to wait for the teacher to come back.."

"lets just wait, he'll come back soon." junhee adds on, a linger of hope in his voice.

"but no one's coming!" jisoo whines, "how much longer do we need to be around dead bodies?"

"can you not call them bodies?" eunha asks sadly.

"thats what they are, arent they?" jisoo spits, "dead bodies."

"yah!" sooha suddenly lets out, startling a few as she rarely raised her voice, "can ya'll shut your whining? do you think it will help you? jisoo if you want to go home, please go, the door to hell is open."

suddenly yoonseo runs up the stairs, tripping before continuing her way as jungwon follows her quickly. sooha didnt hesitate to follow the two as junhee follows her as well as they run to the roof.

arriving on the roof yoonseo and jungwon hold their phones up, hoping with higher ground they would have internet but failed.

"what are you doing?" junhee asks which received him a hit on his arm as he looks at sooha with wide eyes.

"their testing their phones for internet. on higher ground there is a possibility for internet." she answers for the girls before she walks to the edge.

she points down to the white lines, "the broadcast said we must stay in the boundary, right?"

junhee nods his head, not knowing what she meant but yoonseo quickly catched on, jogging to her.

"the white lines... they indicate the boundary." sooha points out, "the broadcast turned on when we tried to cross it before."

"right, we cant cross the white lines.." junhee agrees, once again he was shocked with her quick thinking.

"so how far and wide does the line go?" she asks herself before running to the other side, junhee follows her with yoonseo and jungwon quick to follow, "aish.. this doesent help."

the parking lot was littered with white lines but yoonseo nods her head, "can we leave if theres a break in the line? lets go!"

the four walk at the edge of the white line and after multiple close calls which were junhee tripping and almost falling over and sooha almost stepping over.

in the end they found a narrow path with a line that didnt stop and instead leads up a mountain trail which would, according to yoonseo's map, lead to a village.

which means help.

 "theres a mountain between the trail and at the end is a village." junhee announced, having gathered the class and guiding them via a map that was hung up in the lobby, "we just have to find people and ask for help."

"its annoying to just wait. it wont hurt to give it a shot." kyung jun says, receiving a disbelief look from sooha as he actually agrees with junhee, "but do we all have to go? thats so inefficient."

"yes, we cant all go. so i'll go on my own." junhee replies to the question.

sooha takes junhee's hand as she gives him a determined look, "i'll go with you."

he shakes his head, "stay here. the mountain trail will be tough."

she stares at him before she lets out a unattractive snort, "i wont let you go alone."

he sighs, knowing he couldnt win against her in this debate and just nods.

yoonseo suddenly steps forwards as well, "i'll go as well."

both jungwon and sooha shake their head, the former pulling yoonseo back, "you'll become a burden if you end up lagging behind."

"we'll come with you." somi speaks up, holding woo ram's wrist.

"huh? why me too?" the boy asks confused.

"na hee. jisoo." somi calls out to the girls before turning to the latter's boyfriend, "yujun, you'll come too, right?"

jisoo scoffs, shaking her head, "no i wont."

"then i wont go either." yujun quickly says as well.

"wheres your sense of loyalty?" somi scoffs, "na hee, you wont come either?"

"what a mix." hyun ho exhaled, walking to junhee's side, "you lot are too weak to hike a mountain. i'll go too."

"i'll come as well." na hee raised her hand up, eunha tags along as well, despite her friends trying to change her mind.
