sooha stands at the trail head as she stares up the trail, a feeling of tread suddenly filling her when she realized she had to walk that mountain, tho she doesent regret saying she would come.

suddenly someone takes her hand, making her look at them and she sees that it is yoonseo who wore a uneasy smile.

"sooha... take care, alright?"

she gives her friend a smile, quickly pulling her into a hug as she whispers into her ear, "i'll come back to you.. you're my best friend after all."

yoonseo grins, the two were about to lean back out of the hug only for jungwon to come and hug the two as well, "savor it, i wont do it for a long while."

she two laugh at their friend as they hug each other. sooha leans back, seeing junhee's blank look that had a small smile on his lips as he watched the three.

"i'll come back! save me a choco pie?" she asks the two who nod their head.

she shares a look with jungwon, a silent conversation happening between them before she gives her a small nod.

turning around she quickly went to junhee's side, her bag pack rattling as she had a few fruits and water bottles in them as junhee insisted he would carry more than her.

she stares at him with a certain look that he adored seeing in her eyes, "lets go guys!" she calls out before taking the lead with him.

while the group walk up the mountain sooha realized that maybe, just maybe she should tell him how she feels soon as either could die any time.

a larger step was in front of them and junhee went up first, holding out his hand to the others that were behind him.

when it was her turn she gives him a smile, taking his hand before she stands in front of him, their bodies very close as she could feel his breath hitting her.

she stares at him longer than she should because dong hyun helped the rest up, staring at junhee in jealousy.

the group continued for a bit and na hee almost slipped but was catched by hyun ho thankfully so she didnt get hurt.

the two walk behind each other before she suddenly stops, the two were the last ones and she thought now would be the time, sure it might be bad timing but better than never right?

turning around she sees his confused eyes staring at her and bites her tongue, giving herself a pep talk inside her head.

"junhee-ah.." she starts, taking his hand in her own, "i.. i wanted to tell you that-"

"up here! heres a sign!"

junhee's attention deliberate went towards the boy who yelled the words as he quickly takes sooha's hands, dragging her towards them as he yells, "watch the line!!"

"aish.. its blocked." dong hyun quickly changes direction as he turned to the side, "junhee theres another one over there, lets go over there."

junhee yells out to him yet again as he runs after them with sooha right behind him.

"its blocked as well. theres no path.." dong hyun mutters.

"guys! i see someone!" woo ram yells out, seeing people through his camera that he brought.

junhee lets go of sooha's hand as he runs to woo ram, the girl staring at somi and dong hyun before she follows them.

"it doesent look like its blocked over there, does it?" somi asks, pointing at a way.

"i dont think theres a line.." dong hyun states as he glances at the two, his stare lingering on sooha longer.

"take a look."

he crouches down, taking a branch to clear up a few leafs and dirt to see if there was a line or not.

sooha walks in front of somi, cautious with her foot placement as she cautiously asks, "is there no line?"

he shakes his head, shrugging a he answers, "i dont think there is one."

"take a closer look!" somi ushers, looking around sooha who shielded dong hyun a bit.

"aish.. i dont think we can go.." he mutters before his feet give away beneath him.

he holds his hand out on instinct while sooha catches it, holding his hand but she noticed his weight would drag both of them down.

looking back to somi she sees her looking away fearfully, giving her a slight nod. even tho the two werent close friends anymore they still knew each other good enough to know what their body language was.

looking back towards dong hyun she gives him a look of guilt before she pulls her hand back that he held while somi quickly went to her side, pushing him away.

'the game has to be played withing the designated area.'

both sooha and somi fall to the ground, the former crawling further up in shock as to what just happened.

the two girls look at him in shock and terror as eunha stood behind them, having seen what just happened.

'kim dong hyun is being executed for breaking the rule.'

he stands up, wanting to quickly run back over the line but a sudden tune disturbed him, clutching his head to make it stop but being unsuccessful.

somi and sooah crawl further up as junhee and hyunho along with woo ram run down the path.

"dong hyun! yah, dong hyun! whats wrong?"

woo ram was trying to grab his arm but didnt want to go over the line, instead he held back hyun ho from going over the line.

'kim dong hyun was a civilian.'

the group walks back and sooha was quiet the entire walk as she was in front of somi and behind junhee.

she was clutching junhee's bag pack as he wore the one from someone else as she looks at her phone in guilt.

did she really just kill her classmate? but he would've dragged her with him and she still wanted to live so why did she do that?

 arriving at the front yard the others quickly went to them, all standing in front of them as eun chan walked forwards.

"what happened to dong hyun?"

they all look down and sooha shares a look with somi as mina's shaky voice sounded, "h-hey, say something. wheres dong hyun? what the hell happened?"

"he thought... the white line disappeared.." somi speaks up as she hesitates, "and went to check on it.. but he slipped.."

kyung jun walks forwards, pushing eun chan to the side, "what about the village? how far did you go?"

no one answered him so he raised his voice, "you said you'd find people and ask for help! did you?"

sooha had enough as she raised her voice as well, "we cant go! the path, its all blocked by the lines!"

kyung jun throws his water bottle in his fit of anger as junhee held regret in his eyes when he said, "we're completely trapped."

"then.." yoonseo speaks up, "we're.. really trapped here until we finish the game?"

junhee and sooha give her a hum, both regretful that they didnt find another way out for them.

without another word sooha ran away from the group, she didnt know what to feel, regret, worry, angst? or maybe anger, maybe she should be angry at herself.

going to her room she throws the bag on the floor in anger, letting out a scream from how angry she was as she grabbed the nearest thing which was a table lamp and threw it on the floor. kicking the coffee table that was in the middle she lets her tears fall.

after a few minutes she calmed down, staring at herself in the mirror that was next to the door. her bloody shirt that was unbuttoned showing her white crop top and her colorbone where she wore a necklace.

letting her eyes move down she sees her bloody knee that she got when they were at the mountain and the dirt spots that littered her legs.

taking her phone out she looks at her occupation again, thinking of what to do before scoffing at herself before running a hand through her hair she opens the door in haste almost slamming it in kyung jun's face who wanted to get something from his bag.

walking down the hallway she looks behind her, feeling eyes on her but she shook it off instead going to the emergency ladder that goes to the roof.

opening the door she jogs to the edge of the roof, staring at the stars as she couldnt keep her tears to herself.

slowly her legs give out and she lands on her knees, crying as she did so, her wails being quiet enough not to bring attention to herself.

changing her position she leans her back against the railing, her knees to her chest as she leans her head into her arms that were on her knees.

quiet footsteps were heard but she didnt care until someone gently pushed her arm off of her bloody knee, something was placed on the floor before something stinged.

she hissed as she looks up and stares at the person and was shocked by who it was. the boy who bullies the ones that are weaker than him was crouching in front of her, focused on her knee as he disinfected the wound before grumbling when he searched for a band aid in the right size.

she stares at him with her teary, red and swollen eyes, sniffing before she asked in a crooked tone, "what are you doing?"

he didnt answer her at first, concentrating on placing the band aid correctly before he looks up to her with a slight smile, "helping the class representative, what else?"

she shakes her head before she asks again a sob interrupting her sentence as she did so, "no, i mean... why are you helping me?"

he sighs as he puts everything back into the small medic kit, "why? am i not allowed to help someone once in a while?"

"thats no reason!" she says before another sob interrupted her.

he nods his head with pursed lips, "you're right, it isnt."

she tilts her head, wanting an answer but he instead said, "you have a lot on your shoulders, sooha.. i just wanted to take a bit of burden of your shoulder."

he stands up again with the medic kit in his hand as she shakes her head, her hand reaching for the railing as she stands up.

"thats not true!" she states, "tell me. why are you helping me? why-"

"sibal!" he cursed as his back was to her but her turned around, "cant you just accept some help? sometimes you just have to without a reason!"

she shakes her head, walking forwards but he shook his head, taking steps back, "you know. i changed my mind, maybe you dont need my help."

"kyung jun-ah!" she calls out, "thats not true. you are my classmate, its my duty to help and carry burdens as the class representative."

he scoffs as he shakes his head, "yeah but at what cost are you doing that? did you even want to be the representative? you are just playing nice in front of others, you arent this nice just show your true colors."

she swallows as her eyes harden at his last sentence, "what would you know! huh?! tell me! what do you know about me?"

he turns around fully this time as he stares at the girl, "you were bullied in your first year before you changed school in the middle of the year. i dont know what exactly the reason was but i saw the little video of how you bashed that girl with a book."

"and you know what? it captured that psycho smile of yours perfectly. you might think you changed personality wise but did you? did you really change? are you a new person or are you just faking it all to look good in front of kim junhee."

she scoffs, "i.. i did that because she almost drowned me! a broken nose is nothing against that! i am a better person now, i always was. sometimes we just have a moment, okay?!"

"a moment?! you call that a moment but you are angry at me for throwing basketballs at someone while you straight up bash someone with a book until they almost pass out?"

she takes a breath, not wanting to lash out just how he wanted, "keep it under wraps, kyung jun."

"under wraps?" he asks in disbelief.

she looks down at her clenched hands that were drawing crescents in her palms before she looks back up to him with a blank look, "you have no evidence. the video was taken down from all platforms by my parents, so say what you want."

she walks towards him with heavy steps before stopping next to him, "no one would believe a bully anyways."

with that she walks pass him, going down the stairs again before sighing and deciding to search for junhee.
