Chapter Twenty-One
- Third POV - A FEW DAYS LATER
The next day, at the MIKAELSON COMPOUND, in Klaus's and Christy's room, Klaus sits upright against the end of the bed, drinking a glass of bourbon, sitting in the dark. A picture frame of Klaus and Christy small smiles on the nightstand.
As Klaus sits there, he thinks about Christy. It has been a few days since Klaus and Christy has been separated from each other.
In the meadow, glimpses of Christy wearing her gold dress with the hem of it gently flowing in the warm wind. Her hair gently flows through the air. She small smiles.
Coming out of his sunny thought of his wife, Christy, Klaus drinks the rest of his bourbon and gets up.
Klaus gently sets down his emptied small drinking glass on the drinking table and walks away.

Klaus gently walks down the stairs and into the courtyard where Elijah, Rebekah, Ana and Marcel are.
They look at him, expecting his behavior to go off the rails.
"If you're expecting my behavior to go off, then, you're wasting your time. But, however, I do appreciate the concern." Klaus said.
"Vincent knows about Will. I told him." Marcel said.
"Of course, you did, considering that you and Vincent are friends." Klaus said.
"Niklaus, don't." Elijah said.
"If you all are done just standing around, not doing anything, may I suggest we do something else to occupy ourselves." Klaus said and walks away.
"Nik?" Rebekah said.
Klaus stopped walking and turns to look at his sister. "What?! What can you or anyone else say to me that would possibly ease me?"
Rebekah looks shocked at Klaus's sudden outburst.
Suddenly, a rumble is heard outside, causing Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, Ana and Marcel exchange looks at each other.
They walks out and into the French Quarter itself. The ground rumbles again.
"What the fuck is that?" Ana asked and looks up. "You guys?"
Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, and Marcel looks up at a giant stone monster stomping around in the Jackson Square, heading towards the French Quarter.
"What is that thing?" Rebekah asked.
"A stone monster or creature." Elijah answered.
"We need some help." Rebekah said. "Neither one of us can defeat that stone monster. It is most likely to stomp on us."
With every step that the giant stone monster takes, the ground rumbles.
Suddenly, gold thunder strikes the road, and reveals Elder Queen Nadia wearing her skirt suit.
"Nadia?" Klaus said.
"Son-in-law." Elder Queen Nadia said.
Elder Queen Nadia walks right up to the giant stone monster as it looks right at her and growls. Her eyes glow golden and she thrusts her hand at it, using her divine powers to electrocute it.
The giant stone monster growls in pain and it disintegrates into pebbles.
Elder Queen Nadia ceases her divine powers and changes back to normal. She looks at Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, Ana and Marcel.
"All of you, return back to the compound. Now." Elder Queen Nadia told them.

Later that day, in the courtyard, Klaus and his mother-in-law Nadia, are talking. He sits on the lounge sofa chair and she sits next to him.
"Did Christy tell you?" Klaus asked.
"No, she did not. But I can tell when something is bothering her or upsets her." Elder Queen Nadia told her son-in-law. "So, what happened?"
"Marcalos had his second-in-command, Stark, possess me and he made me kill Will Kinney. He was a friend of Christy and Vince, but it was to hurt Christy more. At first, I didn't want to tell her, but Christy and I don't keep secrets from each other, and so, I told her." Klaus told Nadia.
"And now, with Christiana removed from your life, she probably will not speak to you anymore because of it." Elder Queen Nadia said.
"Yes." Klaus said.
"Have you thought about if Elijah is Marcalos's next target?" Elder Queen Nadia asked.
"That has crossed my mind, yes." Klaus replied. "Why can't Marcalos just leave me alone?"
"You know why, Klaus." Elder Queen Nadia said. "Because you know that you are not innocent. And of all the wrongdoings that you have done; the bloodshed, the killings, the blood on your hands. You are the only immortal soul that Marcalos wants."
"Well, he can have it." Klaus said, getting up to his feet and slowly walks away and turns to look at his mother-in-law, Nadia. "I could talk my way out of Marcalos's Underworld Hell. He can have my immortal soul, he can torment me for his own devious amusement. This is what Marcalos wanted, he took away my blissful happiness. And now, with Christy gone, Elijah is the only closest trusted person left that I can go to."
Elder Queen Nadia gets up and slowly walks up to her son-in-law, Klaus. "Marcalos wants you to suffer like many others that have suffered. He loves to toy with you, Klaus. That's the kind of man that Marcalos is."
Klaus and Nadia exchange concern looks at each other.
"I'm not good without Christy and Marcalos knows it." A dejected Klaus said.
"I know." Elder Queen Nadia said. "The only person that can repair what has been strained between yourself and Christiana is you."
Klaus and Nadia exchange concern looks at each other.
"Niklaus?" Elijah said.
Klaus and Nadia looks at Elijah. And Elijah has a pointed tail embedded in his chest from his back.
"Elijah?" Klaus said.
Elijah then, collapses onto the floor and desiccates as he dies from his chest stab wound. Stark was standing behind Elijah and with a callous grin.
"Marcalos sends his callous regards, Klaus Mikaelson." said Stark and vanishes into a puff of red smoke.
Klaus and Nadia scurries over to Elijah's dessicated dead body and looks at him.
"He's dead." Elder Queen Nadia said.
Klaus and Nadia exchange worried looks at each other.

Later that afternoon, Christy slowly wanders around with a iPad tablet.
[Christy Uniform Outfit]
Klaus magically appears as an astral projection sitting on the bench. Christy looks up from her iPad tablet and at him.
Christy looks at her husband, Klaus, and slowly walks up to him. "Smart of you to use the crystal prism."
"Elijah is dead." Klaus told her.
Christy looks saddened by her brother- in-law, Elijah's, temporary death. "How?"
"Marcalos sent Stark." Klaus told her.
"So, now, with me out of your life, Marcalos went after Elijah too. Now, you don't have anyone to confide in because the two people that you are close to; me and Elijah, are out your life." Christy tells him. "You don't have anyone else to help you, except for Kol and Rebekah, but they won't be staying long. And then, there is Marcel, but mainly, he's with Vincent, so, you can go ahead and cancel out Vincent because he won't help you because of Will Kinney. So, that leaves, Mathias and Freya, and Marcel, but they're the backup."
"Christy?" Klaus said.
"Do you even see the error of your ways, Niklaus? Or you just don't really give a shit about the people that you "claim" to care about and you continue to shut them out of your life because you either push them away or they just don't want to be around you because of your ego and reputation?" Christy tells him with a serious expression on her face.
"I'm sorry." Klaus apologized. "I'm sorry for all of it."
"Well, saying "sorry" isn't gonna work with me, not this time." Christy told him. "So, how about you take a real good look in the mirror because whatever problem that you have right now, you need to figure it out. Elijah is dead and we're separated. So, you need to open your eyes to Marcalos and get rid of him yourself. I'm not gonna help you if Marcalos continues to mess with your life, he's always been your problem. You're a grown man, Niklaus, handle your own damn problems, because the way I see it, it's all your fault."
Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other.
"You have a choice; you either be the monster that you have always been. Or you can be the man that I love and my husband. The choice is yours." Christy said and walks away.
And Klaus thinks to himself and magically vanishes.

- Third POV -
That evening, at the MIKAELSON COMPOUND, Klaus looks at his dessicated body of Elijah in a Mikaelson coffin in the ballroom lounge room.
Klaus gently puts his atop of Elijah's. "I will fix this, brother."
โ๏ธโ๏ธ
In the courtyard, after being summoned by Klaus, Elder King Marcalos slowly walks through a portal. The portal closes.
Klaus and Marcalos exchange looks at each other.
"Well, well, well, Klaus, what do I ask of you summoning me?" Marcalos ask.
"I want to make a deal." Klaus told him with a serious expression on his face.
Marcalos just chuckles. "Really? What can you possibly offer me?"
"You already know." Klaus told him.
Marcalos grins, callously, referring to wanting Klaus's immortal soul.
"You want my soul, here I am. I won't fight you. You've always wanted my soul for so many reasons. So, the deal is this; you can have my soul for however long you want." Klaus told Marcalos.
"Are you sure this is what you want?" Marcalos asked and sauntered up to him. "You know, once you make a deal, you cannot take it back."
"I don't care." Klaus said. "Do we have a deal or not, Marcalos?"
"We have a deal, Klaus." Marcalos tells him. "But you're not doing this for you, you're doing this for Elijah and Christiana. You're doing this for Love."
Klaus and Marcalos exchange looks at each other.
"I'll come for you tomorrow." Marcalos tells Klaus and disappears into a portal.

In the ballroom, Klaus and Mathias have gently laid down Elijah's dessicated body on the floor.
With the magical artifact, The Golden Fleece, Klaus gently lays it on Elijah's dessicated body.
Klaus and Mathias both takes a few steps back. The Golden Fleece glows on Elijah's dessicated body, returning him back to his normal self.
And Elijah wakes up and sits up straight. He looks at both Klaus and Mathias.
โ๏ธโ๏ธ
Now, in the study, Elijah has recovered and Klaus sits in the armchair.
"How do you feel?" Klaus asked.
"I feel fine." Elijah reassured him. "The Golden Fleece has restored me."
"I'm glad it did." Klaus said.
"What happened afterwards?" Elijah asked.
"I made a deal with Marcalos." Klaus told him.
Elijah looks at him, bewildered. "Why would you do something like that?"
"It was an opportunity to give Marcalos what he always wanted." Klaus said. "He took away the two closest people I come to for assistance; you and Christy."
"Does Christy know?" Elijah asked.
"I don't think she would care." Klaus tells him.
"Christy may be angry with you, Niklaus, but eventually, her anger will fade." Elijah said.
Klaus and Elijah exchange looks at each other. And Elijah walks away.
