(last chapter was published on september 10th and it's now september 29th LOL)ย ive just been rlly focused on my other booksย (go check them out they're called 'Only Ecstasy' + 'Dumb & Poetic'!) and ive been finding it hard to write the finale for this book but it's here and it's fine and well (HELPP) but yeah! so for the last time ever for this book: happy reading! <3

General POV:

Benson continued to drive for what felt like hours until they had reached a fancy place that lived up to their standards. Ofcourse, they didn't want to go to some shit-hole, cheap restaurant so they decided to go on Google and search up some fun 5 star restaurants. They didn't care how far it was - they just thought the idea of driving far away to a place they'd never been to would be so fun. They were at a red light so Luna pulled out her phone and showed her phone to Ethan and Starr, who were at the back.

"Oh my gosh, why don't we go to the most expensive one with the highest rating? I'm ready to skank out someone." Starr said, giggling, grinning and rubbing her hands together mischievously.ย

"Hey, hey. I know I'm a singer, but that doesn't mean I'm that rich." Benson said, widening his eyes and holding his hands beside his face.

"Pfft." Starr scoffed, giving Benson a dirty before holding her hand out defensively in front of her face. "Stop with that bullshit, Benson. We all know how much money you make, we literally paid for tickets for your concert. That's literally how we met you in the first place."

"Holy shit, I literally forgot that's how we met you personally, Benson. It's crazy how we're living every single one of your fan's dreams right now. We're literally living a wattpad story, haha." Luna said, looking at Benson with shock on her face. It had only just started sinking into Luna and Starr that their whole week had only been so interesting and exciting because they had bought tickets to their favourite artist. It's literally the butterfly effect. If they had never bought them tickets, they wouldn't be where they are right now - with Benson and his best friend in the car, going out to eat dinner.

"Wait, that's fucking crazy. The way we all act with eachother, the way you talk to us. It's like you don't know you're famous, like I literally forgot you were a celebrity, holy shit!" Starr blurted out.

"What can I say? I'm as humble as a bumble bee." Benson said, laughing as he clicked his fingers at Ethan, looking at him whilst waiting for him to react. Ethan stared at Benson with a blank face before nostalgia hit him like a wave. It finally clicked with him - Benson was talking about a vivid memory of when Ethan and Benson got in trouble by this one teacher called Mr. Mathieson. He yelled at them for running around the corridors at school and they promised each other they would always remember that day forever. Looks like they did which was actually kind of sweet.

"Oh my gosh, I remember when you used to say that when we were like 10! You always said that when you got in trouble at school, which made no sense because how does that even make you humble?" Ethan said, leaning forward to grasp onto Benson's shoulder whilst smiling at him. Benson looked back at Ethan and they shared a cute platonic look of deep care and love for eachother. Similar to the look they had given each other when they were 10 after getting yelled at by a teacher who could go lick a donkey's ass for all they cared.

"Aw, you guys are so nostalgic and cute and it's making me sick. Also, Benson eyes on the road, there's a green light." Starr said, grabbing Ethan's hand to pull him back into his seat. "Ethan? Where's your fucking seat belt? Put it on, right now."

"Right, thanks Starr." Benson said, diverting his eyes off of the back of his car to the front, pressing his foot down so they could start moving again. He could hear all the cars honking behind him so he decided to speed up.

"Uhm, someone's turned full mum mode." Luna giggled, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"Woah, slow it down, bro." Ethan said, smiling stupidly waiting for someone to laugh or even chuckle at his dumb ass pun that he purposefully made. He'd carefully crafted it in his thick brain of his and thought he was so clever for making a joke that wasn't even funny. But Benson being Benson, aka. a nice person and a good friend, laughed at his bad joke just so Ethan wouldn't start bawling his eyes out or jump out of the car out of anger.

"Thanks for that Bennyboy." Ethan said, slapping Benson's arm.

"Hey, back off. He's driving. Are you trying to fucking kill us all? Just 'cause we didn't laugh at your stupid joke. God, Ethan you're lucky you're so good looking otherwise your head would've been out this window by the next minute." Starr snapped, her arms folded over her chest before she quickly unfolded them to pinch his cheek.

"Can I connect my phone to the car please?" Luna said, looking at Benson, waiting for his response. It was obvious he was going to say yes, but she just needed official permission.

"Yeah, of course. Just connect it and play what you want." Benson said, his eyes still glued to the road. You could literally see his concentration as his eyes looked like they weren't blinking - that's how focused he was.

"Thank you, babe." Luna said, edging closer to him to kiss his cheek lightly. Keep in mind that he was still driving, otherwise if he wasn't she would've kissed his lips. But that's all.

Suddenly, the once low energy in the car was immediately uplifted. They had all risen, everyone in the car was smiling, laughing and literally screaming the lyrics at each other. The energy in the car was so crazy, cars starting honking at them because Benson was so distracted, he forgot he was even driving.

But soon after, they had arrived at their destination and ended up at this fancy restaurant that looked way out of budget. We're talking ยฃ1000 per person to eat at this place. It was so expensive looking - it even made Benson feel poor. It was called "Cafe Patisserie" and it was all aesthetic looking and French. On the sides of the building, it had words like "J'adore le cafe!" and stuff of that sort.ย

They all gasped in awe, looking at how many people were inside already. It seemed to be popular due to it's good reviews. They entered the restaurant and just looked around, their eyes widening as they looked around themselves. The soft glow of candlelight flickered across the elegantly set table at Cafe Patisserie, a quaint French restaurant nestled in the heart of the city. Benson adjusted his tie, casting a sidelong glance at Luna, who was animatedly discussing the intricacies of her day. Her laughter, light and infectious, filled the air, wrapping around him like a warm embrace. Across the table, Starr and Ethan shared a knowing smile, their hands entwined, as they enjoyed the delightful atmosphere.

"Can you believe they have escargot on the menu?" Starr teased, raising an eyebrow at Ethan, who feigned horror.

"I'll pass on the snails, thank you very much," Ethan replied, chuckling.

Luna leaned closer to Benson, her eyes sparkling. "You should at least try it! It's a culinary adventure!" Her enthusiasm was contagious, and he found himself smiling, even as he worried about the small details of the evening.

Just then, a waiter approached, a charming smile plastered across his face. "Good evening! May I recommend our special tonight? The duck confit is simply exquisite." His gaze lingered on Luna, and Benson's smile faltered as he watched the waiter lean in a little too close.

"Of course, we'll take two orders of that!" Luna beamed, unaware of the tension simmering in Benson's chest.

The waiter continued, "And what about a nice bottle of wine to complement your meal?" His eyes danced mischievously as he held Luna's gaze.

Benson's heart raced, and jealousy twisted in his stomach. "We'll just have water for now, thank you," he interjected, trying to mask the annoyance in his voice. Luna shot him a curious look, but he quickly turned his attention to the menu, feigning interest.

The waiter flashed a grin at Benson, a glimmer of challenge in his eyes. "Very well. If you change your mind, I'll be right here." With that, he strolled away, casting one last flirtatious glance back at Luna.

Benson felt a wave of heat rise to his cheeks. He took a deep breath, trying to quell the rush of insecurity bubbling within him. It wasn't like Luna had even noticed the waiter's advancesโ€”she was too busy enjoying the moment. Still, the thought of someone else drawing her attention gnawed at him.

Suddenly, Starr felt a light tap on her shoulder. It was Ethan.

"Ugh, what do you want?" Starr said, playfully rolling her eyes at the sight of Ethan. Of course she loved him, she was obviously just joking.

"Don't you sense something's wrong? Like with Benson and Luna and that waiter." Ethan whispered, a little too loudly drawing the attention of Luna.

"What's wrong guys?" Luna said, smiling awkwardly at Ethan and Starr.

"Nothing." Ethan said, before mouthing to her to look at Benson. She looked at Ethan, obviously confused by what it is that was so important about Benson. Until she saw it. He looked pissed. Like really pissed. She wondered what had happened with him, so she decided to ask.

"Benson?" Luna's voice cut through his thoughts. "Are you okay? You seem a bit... off."

He forced a smile. "I'm fine. Just thinking about the food." But even as he spoke, he felt a weight pressing on his heart.

"Everything alright?" Starr chimed in, her gaze flicking between them.

Benson nodded, but as the night wore on, he couldn't shake the feeling. He watched as Luna animatedly described her plans for a new project, her passion evident in every gesture. That's what he loved about herโ€”the way she threw herself into everything she did. The waiter's attention was fleeting, he reminded himself. Luna's heart was his.

As dinner progressed, Benson's jealousy began to fade, replaced by a warm glow of appreciation for the woman beside him. The way she lit up when talking about her dreams reminded him of why they were together in the first place. And then, as if a light bulb went off in his mind, he knew what he had to do.

After dessertโ€”a delectable chocolate soufflรฉ that Luna insisted on sharingโ€”Benson excused himself for a moment. He slipped away to the small corner of the restaurant where the hostess stood. "Excuse me, could you help me?" he asked, his heart racing with anticipation.

Moments later, he returned to the table, his heart pounding. Luna was laughing at something Starr had said, her eyes sparkling like stars. He cleared his throat, drawing their attention.

"Hey, can I have everyone's attention for a second?" Benson's voice was steady, confidence surging through him. He reached into his pocket, feeling the cool metal of the ring he had carefully chosen for this moment.

Ethan and Starr both turned to each other, a confused expression written on their faces.ย

"Is he asking you to marry him? Oh god, no-" Starr said, before face-palming herself.ย

Luna raised an eyebrow, a mixture of curiosity and excitement dancing across her face. "What's up?"

Benson took a deep breath. "Luna, you mean the world to me. I know tonight had its distractions, but I want you to know that I'm committed to us. You inspire me every day, and I can't imagine my life without you."

"Wait, what is going on right now?" Ethan asked, stupidly as if he had just woken up.

"Oh Lord, please help me. Of course, you're the lost one - he's probably vowing to keep them together." Starr explained to Ethan, as if he was a child.

"Wait, they're together? Since when? I thought they were still back to flirting and just kissing each other randomly." Ethan said, still confused.

"Go back to sleep, Ethan. I'll wake you up when you matter." Starr said, slapping Ethan's back as he rested his face onto the table.

He knelt down on one knee, the restaurant falling silent around them. The flickering candlelight reflected off the small ring he held, a delicate piece that captured the essence of their love.

"Will you promise to stay with me for as long as you can be with me?" Benson asked, his eyes glued onto Luna's face, gulping as he waited for her to say a word.

Tears glistened in Luna's eyes as she gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. The moment stretched into eternity before she whispered, "Yes! A thousand times, yes!"

Cheers erupted from the surrounding tables as Benson slid the ring onto her finger. The warmth of love enveloped them, washing away any remnants of jealousy that had lingered just moments before. In that instant, surrounded by friends and the soft glow of candles, Benson knew that everything was exactly as it should be.

*TIMESKIP TO A FEW HOURS LATER*

They had all finished their wonderful evening and finished celebrating the sudden engagement. It was so random as they had only met like a week ago but it felt right. He felt as if he'd known Luna for forever and a day. As the laughter from their friends faded into the background, Benson turned to Luna, his heart racing. The soft glow of the restaurant illuminated her features, highlighting the excitement in her eyes. He reached out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Can you believe we're officially officially together?" Benson murmured, a smile tugging at his lips.

Luna's cheeks flushed with joy. "It feels like a dream."

With a mix of longing and happiness, he leaned closer, their breaths mingling in the warm air. The world around them faded away, leaving just the two of them in that intimate moment. He brushed his thumb along her cheek, their gazes locking.

Then, as if drawn by an invisible force, their lips metโ€”softly at first, then deepening as they melted into each other. The kiss was sweet and tender, filled with promises of the future, echoing the love that had grown between them. Time seemed to stand still, and in that perfect moment, everything felt right.
