General POV:
Hunter's house was a little far out of Benson's field of familiarity so it took them a while to return back to his house but it didn't take them hours. Before they knew it, they were back home in like 10 minutes, which is surprising because there was a lot of traffic, especially since it was like the afternoon but Benson brushed it off as being lucky.
"Aight', we're here Luna so c'mon. Let's get inside. I need to change out of these clothes, that bastard's fingers have been on them, haha." Benson said, followed by a laugh at his own joke.
"Right, almost forgot that even happened until you had to remind me, Benson! So, thanks for that!" Luna said, in an overly excited-sarcastic tone as she shut the car door behind her.
"Oops, my bad." Benson said, whilst throwing his car keys around in his hands before opening the front door. "We're home! Starr and Ethan? Where the fuck are you guys at?"
"Upstairs. We're just chilling in the guest room. Come up if you'd like." Ethan called out so loud that Luna could hear from outside as she still hadn't made it inside yet.
"Don't tell me you guys are doing something else? Is 'chilling' a cover up to say you guys are having sex?" Benson said, rushing as he ran up the stairs after tossing his car keys aside.
Luna giggled as she watched him run up whilst she shut the front door behind her. Benson was always trying to make jokes according to Ethan and he proved it to Luna to be the funniest person she'd ever met in her life. Girls love a boy who is funny but to Luna, the only source of humour she'd ever had was Hunter making fun of everything Luna did and was. She'd rather not remember those times though. Still, Benson was a funny guy and that's why she loved him so much. Correction, liked. She couldn't love him just yet. They weren't even together yet.
Benson dashed upstairs and barged into the room, his hand on the door knob as he stood one foot in the room and one foot out. He inspected the room, seeing Starr and Ethan laying down on the bed. He looked over, seeing as they were deeply concentrated on looking at the wall. Sorry, not the wall. The TV on the wall.
"Riiiight, what's going on in here?" Benson said, putting his hands on his hips.
"Nothing." Ethan said, removing his hand that was wrapped tightly around Starr's shoulder to pause whatever the hell they were watching. "We're just watching a movie."
"Oh, nice. Which move are you guys watching? It better not be a silly goofy ah movie." Benson said, rushing over to see what they were watching. A red girl and blue girl popped up on the screen.
"We're just watching Descendants: The Rise of Red. See?" Starr said, pointing them out on the screen.
*A/N: by the way HEYYYY, just thought this was the perfect opportunity to say that i have a new book out about the rise of red, please go check it out if u want. okay bye thank u and enjoy!*
"Ah, okay. Okay then." Benson said, knitting his brows together as he watched them closely with suspicion. He knew that they were up to no good when they looked at him, smiling non-stop. "I'm keeping the door open so I know if you guys are doing something silly."
"Alright, then. Do it. Bro, I can't believe you don't trust that we aren't doing anything bad. You can trust me, I'm your best mate." Ethan said, getting up before going up to him and holding Benson by his shoulders and looking deep into his eyes.
Benson hated when Ethan did this, it always worked on him. He'd charm his way through gaining Benson's trust and he would give in to anything Ethan asked for. Of course, Ethan wasn't the begging, user type of friend but whenever Benson would be too scared to shoot his shot with a girl, Ethan would pull this move and boom - Benson would be there talking to the girl.
"Alright, sorry Ethan. Just don't do anything weird, alright? See ya, have fun." Benson said, smiling at both of them. They smiled back.
"God, you are so evil." Starr said, finally after Benson had shut the door behind him.
Ethan turned around, smiling mischievously before crawling back into the bed, saying, "Well, I wouldn't say I'm evil. More manipulative and deceiving. That's a better way to put it."
"Still, you are evil. Now, I'm scared you're going to trick me. I mean, if you can do that to your friend, what's stopping you from hurting me." Starr said, her voice getting quieter towards the end.
"What? No, no, no! It's not like that, at all. I love you way too much to hurt you. I never could hurt you, okay?" Ethan said, cupping Starr's face with his hands.
"Are you sure?" She said, a concerned look on her face as she looked up at him.
"Yes. Of course I am." Ethan replied, smiling at her before he gently planted a kiss on her cheeks.
"Okay good." Starr said, kissing his cheek after he'd kissed her cheek. "By the way, we need to find Luna. I mean, he did bring her back right?"
"Yeah, he did. Why don't you go downstairs and check if she's there, okay love?" Ethan said, straightening the blanket out after she'd gotten up.
"Okay." Starr said, shooting Ethan one last small smile before leaving the room.
*MEANWHILE, DOWNSTAIRS*
Luna's POV:
I sat down on the sofa and looked around the living room after I noticed Benson wasn't coming downstairs for a while. I definitely heard voices upstairs so maybe he was still talking to Starr and Ethan. Looking around made me feel like home - I wanted this to be my home. But I was way too afraid to do anything about it. It was just a desire after all, I desired to be with Benson and we could both stay here, together, forever. Silly little dream I had, as if it would ever come true.
Just as I was getting even more immersed in my thoughts, I could hear footsteps coming down the stairs. It was Benson and he came down, looking at smiling.
What was going on? Why was he smiling so much right now?
GENERAL POV:
"Took you a while to get back down, did you forget where your stairs were in your own house?!" Luna laughed as she watched him move something in his hands that were hidden behind him. Weird...
"Maybe. I sometimes do that, but you know me too well." Benson said, joining in on the laughter.
"So, what's up happy-very-go-lucky Benson. What's behind you?" Luna said, smiling at him as she pointed to behind him.
"A bag..." He said, slowly. He brought it out from behind him. It was red and silver, her two favourite colours.
"How the hell did you know that those were my two favourite colours, Benson? Okay, this is weird, what's going on?" Luna said, astonished. She couldn't believe that he knew that - she'd never told him that before.
"Well, long story short, I kinda asked Ethan to ask Starr what your favourite colours are so I could get you what is in this bag, but we'll get to that later." Benson explained.
"Well, thank you for taking my favourite colours into consideration. But I am curious, though. What's in the bag?" Luna said, trying to peer into it but she couldn't.
"Well, uhm. I, uh, I've actually got something planned." Benson said, grabbing a box of some sort?
Her mind was going crazy with lots of thoughts. All she could think about right now was, "What is he doing right now? What's in the box? And Why?"
"Uhm, well fuck. Here it goes." Benson said, clearing his throat one last time before saying, "Luna Rosner Levine, I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity for this and I finally get to give you what I've been wanting to give you the day that we met. I bought you this bracelet as a way to show and express my dearest and truest love for you. Luna, you've brought so much happiness in to my life and I'm so happy to have known you, let alone even get to be as close to you as we are as of today. So, now may I ask you this one question, Will you be my girlfriend, the one and only love of mine?" Benson said, opening the box to her face to reveal a sparkling, beautiful bracelet, in-scripted with her name on it. It looked divine, and shimmered brightly, like a goddamn star.
"Oh my god, Benson! Yes! Yes, I'll be your girlfriend, forever and always." She quickly said, gasping at the beautiful bracelet, in awe. Tears of joy began to flow and roll down her very flushed cheeks. He noticed it and immediately wiped them away for her. How sweet?
"But isn't it weird? You're like this international huge global star and I'm just, well, me. Why do you even like me so much? I'm just average compared to you." Luna said, wiping her face as her smile faded.
"If you're average, then what the fuck am I? Have you seen yourself lately?" Benson joked, causing her to laugh through her half-joyous, half-sad tears. He always knew, every time he knew what the right thing to say was and she didn't get how he did it.
"Well, thank you for this. I love you." Luna said, holding her arms wide as she held onto Benson.
"I love you more, forever and a day." Benson said, holding Luna tightly before planting a kiss on her head.
