WARNING: MENTIONS SUICIDE!!

Eden has been at the college for two weeks now and she missed her mother and siblings, a lot. She hasn't exactly made many friends and her roommate wasn't very friendly. She was a girl who had a boyfriend yet still flirted with other guys. Eden met her boyfriend, Blake, once and he was extremely nice and charming and he was probably her first friend there.

She was currently working on a sketch for her class when she hears yelling from the other room. Eden sighs when she hears her roommate arguing with Blake yet again probably about her defending herself against the cheating accusations. Blake wasn't yelling and instead trying to get her to stop yelling and have a civil conversation. She had no idea why he hasn't broken up with her, she was clearly cheating, she has hickeys covering her neck and Blake hasn't been over for two weeks now.

"You know what! We're done!" The girl yells and Blake sighs

"Fine" he mumbles and closes the front door

Eden hums and goes back to her sketch making a few adjustments to the dress before smiling in content. She hears her roommate groaning and mumbling on the phone and than the sound of the door closing again. Seems she's already found her new boyfriend or fling

Eden closes her sketchbook and lays it down on her desk when she sees a framed family picture. She gently picks it up and scans the picture with a small smile on her face. Allison and Luther were smiling at each other with their hands entwined, Ben was sitting on a chair beside Klaus with a book in his head looking over it to smile at his siblings, Diego had Klaus in a headlock with a wide smile and Klaus looked like he was suffocating but still wore a smile, Vanya sat a little ways from the rest of them with her violin in her hands and a small smile on her face, and Eden was on Fives shoulder both holding up a piece sign at the camera and wore wide smiles.

Eden sighs sadly at the sight of him and suddenly that aching pain in her heart comes back. She sits on her bed with the picture in her hand with a frown, oh how she missed him.  She lays down and sets the frame beside her head, staring at it until her eyes got to heavy and shut.

A MONTH has passed since Eden has been attending college and she seemed skinnier, paler and quieter. Her roommate has even started noticing and that's a lot since her roommate didn't even like her. Blake messaged her often and some of her other friends but she barely replied and instead sulked in her room.

It was harder to fight off the dark thoughts inside her head without her family, especially her mother. Her mom was her light always fighting the darkness away and shining so brightly the darkness never came back. But it seemed harder and harder to get up every mourning, harder to fight the thoughts, the bad bad thoughts that circled through her head. And one day she listened, she gave in, she gave up on life and the will to fight inside her head, she had lost.

She stood inside her bathroom watching it fill with ice cold water until it was almost spilling over the tub. She didn't bother locking the door and instead stepped into the icy water without flinching and sunk to the bottom. Her eyes glued to the front and without hesitation she emerged herself into the icy cold water until she hit the bottom her bath tub. She closes her eyes and lets go, her lungs filling up with water and she wonders if she'll see Five. She hopes she'll see him because she misses him a lot and she hopes she'll see Ben, her precious brother. Maybe they can play tag together like they always did or maybe they'll play hide and seek that Five always won because of his powers.

Her body felt numb and she felt so peaceful and tired. She wondered if this is what death feels like because it wasn't so bad. The aching in her heart suddenly disappeared as her body let out its last breath and the darkness started to close in on her, crawling up her body until only her eyes were seen and suddenly she heard it.

"Eden?" She could hear Fives voice call out to her and she smiles

"Eden?!" He shouts in a panicked voice and Edens eyebrows furrow

Why would he feel panicked?

"Eden?! Wake up!" She hears again but it was faint and more familiar

Is that Blake?

Her pale shaking body was wrapped in a towel and large blanket but she couldn't feel anything or open her eyes. Blake was absolutely shocked and panicked, her body was shaking and her lips were blue and her tan skin was pale. His shaky hand gently lay her down as he shouts at Evelin to call 911. He quickly tilts her head back and starts CPR, pumping on her chest before blowing air into her mouth. His eyes teared up but he wiped them away and continued.

"Come on Eden! Breathe! Just breathe!" He shouts and blows more air into her mouth when she jolts up coughing up cold water before fainting again.

Blake didn't rest and instead pulls out his keys to rush her to the ambulance when the doctors rush in and take her away. Blake quickly followed after them and waited impatiently in the waiting room until four hours later a nurse came in.

"Eden Hargreeves?" The nurse asks and Blake quickly stands up

"Ms. Hargreeves will be fine in a few days but for now we want to watch over her. It was touch and go for a bit but we got her back and stable." The nurse says and Blake shoulder drop in relief

"You can see her in room 106" The nurse says and Blake thanks her before making his way to room 106 where an unconscious Eden laid.

Her skin was slowly getting its color back, her lips still blue but her chest was rising and that was all Blake needed to feel reassured. He pulls chair next to her and stares at Eden with tender eyes.

"I'm glad you're alright" He softly says to her and sits beside her for a few more hours before her eyes finally opened.

Blake watches as she looks around the hospital room before her dull hazel eyes meet his brown ones. She seemed confused and Blake gives her a reassuring smile, gently taking her hand.

"It's Blake" He gently says and she blinks at him

"Where am I?" Her hoarse voice asks and he quickly grabs the water with a straw in it and helps her get a drink before explained what happened

Her eyes tear up and she slams her head against the pillow, her lips trembling and her hand tightens around his.

"I-I'm sorry" she cries

"I-I just w-wanted the p-pain to g-go a-away" she cries and Blake tightens his hold, running his fingers through her silky hair

"It's alright, you'll be alright" He reassures her and calms her down

"Do you have any family I could call?" He asks and Eden immediately shakes her head no

"No don't call them! I don't want them to see me like this" She says and stares down at herself with same

"Like what?" Blake asks and Eden tears up once again

"Like a loser, disgusting, filth-" Eden was cut off by Blake's soft words

"I don't think you're any of those, I see a strong women who got lost and simply needs someone to help guide her through the dark" Ben softly says and Eden sniffles

"Really?" She asks and he nods with a small smile

"I don't mind guiding you" He adds and Eden smiles

That day a new friendship bloomed and Blake became her pillar, her rock, and her light to guide her through the dark. Those dark thoughts never came back and with Bens help, she fought and won.

He nursed her back to health and showed her the best of what life had to offer. He went with her to every therapy session and held her hand to comfort her. They we're inseparable from that day on and went everywhere together. She went to every single game of his wearing a shirt with his his number on it and he went to every fashion event she had with a proud smile on his face. She told him about her family, her mother, her brothers and sisters, her life as Number Zero, and about Five, he didn't like Five very much. He wasn't freaked out about her powers or the powers her siblings possessed and only smiled in awe mumbling "awesome" with an excited look.

She met his parents when he took her back with him to Ireland, it was very fun.

"Mom I'm home! And I brought a visitor!" He shouts through the large house that gave off a warm aura. Eden nervously stood beside him and played with her fingers when a tall women appeared.

She had the same brown hair and warm brown eyes as Blake. She had on an apron and flour smeared on her face but a wide smile appeared when she saw the two of them.

"My baby is home!" She shouts and pulls Blake into a tight hug, placing kisses all over his face making him scrunch his nose. 

"And he brought such a gorgeous women with him!" She exclaims and pulls Eden into the same tight embrace making Blake chuckle

"Mom this is Eden, my best friend" Blake says and his mother narrows her eyes at him before a teasing smile spreads on her face

"Okaaay " she sings and wiggles her eyebrows at him

"Mom" he groans and pulls me upstairs with him

After that Eden met his dad and they played a few family games together, asking Eden about her family and school, asking Blake how school was going and about the girl he was dating and how we met.

Blake met her Allison and her mother when she found out Allison was in labor.

Blake watches in amusement as Eden runs into the hospital room with a large camera in her hand. He shakes his head and sits down on a chair mumbling underneath his breath.

"That women" he mumbles and smiles, waiting patiently for her to return

After hours of waiting Eden comes out with a large smile and throws her hands in the air.

"It's a girl!" She exclaims and pulls Blake into a hug

He smiles and lets her drag him into the hospital room where her sister laid looking absolutely exhausted but beautiful nonetheless.

"Allison this is Blake and Blake this is my sister Allison and my niece Claire" Eden introduces them and he smiles at Allison

"It's nice to meet you" He politely says

"And congratulations" He adds quickly while glancing down at the small baby in her arms

"Isn't she just the cutest! She gets it from her aunt!" Eden exclaims and coos over the baby while Blake stares fondly at the excited Eden

Allison glances up and catches the adoring look in his eyes and smiles. Maybe he can help her....

After a few minutes of Eden cooing over the baby she finally fell asleep on the couch in the room, Blake placing his jacket on her to keep her warm.

"How did you two meet?" Allison asks curiously and he shifts uncomfortably

"I was in a very toxic relationship with her roommate when I met her" he says with a frown

"But I'm glad we met" He says and gazes at her with a small smile

"She's the strongest women I've ever met and I hope she'll never doubt herself again" He mumbles and Allison nods

"Just.... take care of her will you, she's extremely fragile ever since.. he left" Allison says and glances at her sister, she couldn't handle another heartbreak

"Of course, I'll always take care of her" He promises with determined eyes and Allison smiles

Maybe he is the one to nurse her broken heart back to health with gentle and tender love.

Eden excitedly gripped Blake's arm as she led him towards the academy and Blake glances down the block.

"Do you have any neighbors?" He asks curiously and Eden snorts

"We own the whole block" She says and he raises an eyebrow

"Now let's go inside it's a bit chilly" Eden says and shivers at the chilly air causing Blake to frown and rush her inside the warm house

"Mom! Pogo! I'm home and I brought someone special!" Eden yells through the large room and Blake glances around the room seeing a portrait of kids in black masks and expensive looking academy uniforms.

His eye immediately find Edens and he smiles at her wild curls. He looks away from the portrait when a blonde women starts walking towards them with a warm smile.

"Eden my dear! It's so nice you came to visit" Grace smile and Eden pulls her into a hug

"I missed you a lot mom" Eden mumbles and Grace smiles

"I missed you to dear" Grace says and holds her tears back and glances behind Eden to see a man around Edens age standing behind her with a small smile

"Who is this?" Grace asks with a warm smile and Eden smiles widely pulling the man beside her

"This is Blake! My best friend! He's helped me through a lot and he's a really special someone in my life so I wanted my two special people to meet" Eden says and Blake smiles at Grace

"It's nice to meet you ma'am" he says in a light Ireland accent and Grace smiles

"You can just call me Grace" Grace says and shakes his hand

"It's nice to meet you Blake" Grace says and smiles at the man

"Would you like some cookies?" Grace asks and Eden perks up

"Please" Eden says and Grace smiles at the girl who grew into a strong women

"I'll go make some lemonade to go with them, you guys just sit down and make yourself comfortable" Grace says and leaves to the kitchen

Eden leads Blake into the living room and sits next to him.

"Your mom seems really nice" Blake says and Eden smiles

"She's the best" she says and after a minute she stands up

"I'm going to use the restroom, I'll be back in a second" Eden says and leaves to the bathroom leaving Blake alone in the large living room

He glances around the expensive looking room when his eyes land on the large portrait with a boy that stood next to Eden in the other portrait.

"That would be Number Five" a voice says and Blake turns around to see a monkey walking towards him

"I'm Pogo" he introduces himself and Blake smiles

"I'm Blake, a friend of Edens" He says and shakes Pogos hand

"She wanted me to meet her mom and you" Blake says and pogo smiles

"Ms. Hargreeves has returned?" Pogo asks and Blake nods making a small smile spread across Pogos face but it falters

"How has she been?" Pogo asks and Blake tenses

"She's great" He says and sighs in relief when Eden appears

"Pogo!" She exclaims and runs to hug him with a wide smile on her face

After that Grace and Pogo made sure Eden was in good hands and listens to Eden rant about college but brags about Blake and his accomplishments in football and mathematics. Blake did the same for her, bragging about her amazing sketches and clothes she's made with a proud smile.

Grace and Pogo watch them leave with small smile and nod at each other. Eden was in good hands and they knew the man would take care of her.

Eden and Blake were the best of friends, a special bond between them and nothing would change that.
