Eden was leaning against the couch watching the tape of Grace watching their dad die.

"I mean, do you really thing mom would hurt dad?" Vanya asks

"You haven't been home in a long time, Vanya" Luther says and Eden rolls her eyes, you've been on the moon the whole time so you don't have a lot of room to talk Luther.

"Maybe you don't know Grace anymore"

"If he was poisoned, it would have shown in the coroner's report" Diego says and Eden hums in agreement

"I don't need a report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes." Luther says

"Sometimes your eyes can deceive you" Eden pipes up and she smirks feeling Luther anger and glare

"I agree with Eden maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your vision"  Diego says while Luther stares at him in disbelief.

"Look closer, dad has his monocle, mom stands up and monocles gone" Diego says and motions toward the tv

"Oh yeah" Klaus says while eating a bag of chips

"She wasn't poisoning him... she was taking it to clean it" Diego points out and sits back down next to Eden

"Then where is it?" Luther asks in confusion

"Because I've searched the whole house, including her things and she doesn't have it" Luther says and Eden glances at Diego feeling his nerves

"That's because I took it from her after the funeral" Diego announces as everyone turns to him

"You've had the monocle this whole time? What the hell, Diego?" Allison anger is very much noticeable

"Give it to me" Luther demands and motions for Diego to give it to him

"I threw it away" Diego shrugs

"You what?" Luther scoffs in disbelief

"Look I knew that if you found it on mom you'd lose your shit just like you're doing right now." Diego says while pointing his knife at Luther

"Diego you son of a bitch" Luther was steaming in anger

"Hey! Calm down" Vanya says in concern as both men were prepared to fight

"Look I know dad wasn't exactly an open book but I do remember one thing he said" Vanya says and Eden peers at her sister in interest

"'Mom was designed to be a caretaker but also as a protector" Vanya says and Allison furrows her eyebrows

"What does that mean?" Allison asks in confusion

"It means Mom was programmed to intervene if someone's life was in jeopardy" Eden pipes up

"Well of her hardware is degrading then... we need to turn her off" Luther says and Eden immediately jumps to her feet with a large frown and angry eyes

"What!" Eden shouts in anger as she stomps up to Luther

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait" Diego rushes out

"She's not just a vacuum cleaner you can throw in a closet. She feels things, I've seen it!" Diego shouts

"You can't turn mom off! She our mom! She's like us!" Eden shouts in anger

"She just stood there Diego, Eden, and watched our father die." Luther says while motioning to the tv

"I'm with Luther" Allison states and Edens harsh glare is directed at Allison who flinched

"Surprise, surprise" Diego says making Allison glare at him

"Shut up" Allison spits and both Eden and Diego turn to Vanya who nervously looks between them and Luther

"I-I don-" Vanya stutters

"Yeah she shouldn't get a vote" Diego says and turns to Klaus

"I was gonna say that I agree with you" Vanya says causing Luther to roll his eyes

"Okay she should get a vote"

"What about you stoner boy? We do you got?" Diego points at Klaus who frowns

"Oh, so what? You need my help now? Oh "get out of the van, Klaus!" "Well welcome back to the van" Klaus argues and Allison looks at him in confusion

"What van?" She asks and Luther rolls his eyes

"What's it gonna be Klaus?" Luther asks

"I'm with Diego and Eden because screw you! And if Ben we're here he'd agree with me" Klaus shouts

"So thats three to two?" Diego says holding up his fingers

"Wait" Luther says

"It's not final yet" Allison says from her spot

"What?" Eden asks in confusion

"Fives not here" Allison says and Eden crosses her arms

"The whole family has to vote, we owe each other that" Allison says

"Right" Luther agrees

"I agree we should wait" Vanya agrees while everyone walks out of the room

Eden scowls and stomps her way up to her room not caring if she was loud. Vanya and Diego send their sister worried glances but know it's better to let her calm down. Eden sighs angrily as she slams her door shut as hard as she possibly could, she didn't want Luther to turn their mom off. Tears roll down Edens cheek as she sat against her wall with a frown.

"Eden? Are you alright?" The young six year old hears her mother call out to her

"Mom!" Eden cries as she sat in the sandbox all alone with scraped knees and cut up hands

Salty tears rolled down the small six year olds chubby cheeks and Grace immediately bents down to Edens height with a frown.

"Oh Eden! Come on let's get you home and than you can tell me what happened" Grace says as she picks the small girl up as she sobbed the whole way to the house not because of her wounds but because of the hurtful words the kids said.

Her siblings gather around her wondering why she was crying so much when they saw the bloody knees and cuts all over her small hands. Five felt anger bubble in him and Diego felt concern as he sat next to his sister watching as their mom clean her wounds.

"What happened Eden?" Allison asks and Eden sniffles wiping her tears

"I was playing at the park when a group of boys came up to me and said these awful things to me before they pushed me to the ground making everyone laugh at me" Eden cries

"Am I-I a m-monster?"  Eden hiccups as new tears roll down her cheeks

"Of course not" Grace says with a frown

"T-they said I- I was a f-freak a-and t-that's w-why I-I have n-no f-friends" Eden stutters as tears roll down her cheeks

"I'm your friend!" Klaus says with a smile

"Yeah we're best friends!" Ben and Diego say while the rest of her siblings agree

"R-really?" Eden asks while while wiping her tears from her face

"Yeah! We'll always be best friends! We'll always have each other's back until the end!" Luther says and they all watch as a wide smile spreads across Edens face

"You're right!" Eden says with a wide smile before she turns to her mother and hugging her tightly

"Thank you mom" Eden says while hugging her tightly breathing in her calming perfume

Grace squeezes Eden and rubs her back comfortably with a smile of her own, her own eyes stinging with unshed tears.

"Anytime dear" Grace says

The next day the boys didn't push her or call her weird names and they didn't even come to the park anymore. It was probably because her siblings came with her this time and they showed those rude boys a lesson especially Five.

"Mom can we make cookies? Or brownies!" A seven year old Eden asks

"Sure let's see what batter we have" Grace hums as she opens the pantry

"How does baking brownies sound?" Grace asks Eden who nods her head with excitement

"Let's do it!"

Eden ended up spilling more of the brownies on her than in the bowl but the brownies still came out amazing.

"Wow mom these are delicious!" Eden exclaims with chocolate all over her mouth causing Grace to giggle before wiping her mouth

"Because you made them" Grace says and Eden shakes her head

"Nuh uh" Eden says and Grace laughs before ruffling her hair

"Go on and tell your brothers and sister that you made them brownies" Grace says and Edens eyes widen before she runs off yelling for her siblings

"Five! Ally! Vanya! Diego!....."

Grace ran her fingers through Edens hair in a calming matter as a seventeen year old Eden sobs into her lap. Her small body was shaking with sobs and her eyes were puffy from constantly crying, her powers unstable from the heartbreak and memories.

"Mom it hurts" Eden sobs as she clutched her heart in pain and Grace closes her eyes in pain, seeing Eden in pain and not being able to fix it really hurt Grace.

"I know dear but you're strong and I know you'll get through this because you're Eden Hargreeves, my brave little girl. I know it hurts right now but it'll get better over time, I promise" Grace softly says to the sobbing teenager who's heart broke in half that day

Edens- who was now eighteen -loud squeal of excitement startled Grace who was cleaning the counters in the kitchen.

"Mom! Mom! You'll never believe what I just got in the mail today!" Eden exclaims with the widest smile

"What is it?" Grace asks while setting her rag down to turn to Eden who excitedly shoves a piece of paper into her hands. Grace wipes her hands before taking the paper and scanning it with her eyes.

Congratulations Eden Hargreeves we are proud to accept you into.....

The paper says and Graces eyes widen when she realizes what the letter was.

"They've accepted me into their fashion school with a full scholarship!" Eden exclaims with a wide smile and Grace smiles

"I knew you could do it! Those sketches were far to amazing for them not to accept you" Grace says with a wide smile and pulls Eden into a tight hug

"When do you leave?" Grace asks and Eden pulls away with a sad frown

"In two weeks" she sadly says and Grace smile falters

"Want to make brownies?" Grace asks out of the blue and Edens frown turns into a smile

"Yeah lets make some brownies" Eden says with a small smile

Suddenly two weeks go by and Eden was standing beside a cab while her mother stood beside the door. Eden opens the car door to leave to the airport but she suddenly turns around and pulls her mother into the tightest hug ever. Her tears fell onto Graces shirt as she breathed in her mother's calming scent and Grace smiles sadly while tightening her hold on Eden.

"Thank you mom" Eden whispers to her mother before pulling away and smiling at Grace

"Bye mom!" Eden yells as she gets into the cab

"Be careful!" Grace shouts and once the cab was out of sight she lets the tears roll.

"Oh my strong little girl is all grown up now" Grace sniffles

Eden couldn't and wouldn't let Luther turn their mother off even if she had to use her powers on Luther, Eden thought to herself as she let her body relax on her bed finally going to sleep.
