Five woke up to the smell of pancakes and the sound of Edens voice.

"I know Blake"

"It's just there's some things that I need to handle over here before I return to Scotland" He hears her sigh into the phone and he sits up glancing to where the kitchen was.

"What! No! You don't have to come down here" Eden yelps as grease flys onto her hand

"Don't worry about me Blake, I'm fine" Eden quietly says and Five watches as she mixes the pancake batter

"Okay bye love you" Eden says into the phone with a small smile

"Yes we'll see each soon, quite being dramatic" Eden laughs, rolling her eyes playfully.

He was about to say something once she hung up the phone but his stomach decided to that for him. His stomach growled rather loudly catching Edens attention who spun around quickly with wide eyes.

"Five you're awake! You scared me" She says placing her hand over her chest when his stomach growled loudly again causing his face to flush bright red

"The foods almost ready" Eden says with a small smile but there was a question on Fives mind

"Eden?" He asks trying to get her attention and she hums as she flips the pancake

"What did Diego mean when he said dad had to make you forget?" Five asks curiously and watches as Eden stiffens

"Uhm" she clears her throat nervously and sets the pancake on the plate before turning the stove off

"How about we eat first and than I'll tell okay?" She asks with a sad smile and Five nods with furrowed eyebrows

"Sure" he says and sits down at the dining table and eating the pancakes, eggs and bacon.

He loved her cooking

That was one of the important things he missed  when he was gone, her cooking and most of all her. Once he was done they moved into the living room with Eden sitting in front of him with her hands clasped. She seemed nervous and sad which made him nervous.

"I guess you have the right to know what happened when you left and what Diego meant" Eden sighs and runs a hand through her hair.

"I don't know how to say it and I don't want to say it so I'm just going to show you" Eden says and reaches out her hands to place on his head and closes her eyes. Five furrowed his eyebrows at her in confusion but suddenly it was all black and he felt like he was getting sucked into something.

It was quite as they all ate in silence, Luther and Allison sharing loving looks, Ben reading a book, Klaus being Klaus, Diego eating, Vanya sitting at the end of the table eating quietly while Eden stared at Five. She could feel his emotions, they were confusing and it felt as if they were all bubbling to the surface and she placed her hand on top of his trying to calm him down but it seems like she was to late. Number Five had stood up abruptly catching everyone's attention when he slammed the knife into the table. Eden watched in silence as he glared at Sir Reginald in anger.

"I have a question" He states

"Knowledge is an admirable goal, but you know the rules. No talking during mealtime. You are interrupting Herr Carlson." Sir Reginald says and Eden tries to comfort Five and for the first time he pushes away her touch

"I want to time travel!" He angrily says

"No" Reginald firmly says and continues to eat while Fives anger keeps brewing

"But I'm ready. I've been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said." Five days and spatial jumps beside Reginald

"See?" Five says

"A spacial jump is trivial when compared with the unknowns of time travel. One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn." Reginald says as he eats and Eden watches Five purse his lips

"I don't get it" He says

"Hence the reason you're not ready"

Edens heart started to beat faster and her palms started to sweat. She knew something bad was going to happened and right when their eyes meet she shakes her head at him.

"I'm not afraid"

"Fear isn't the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable. Now I forbid you to talk about this anymore." Sir Reginald says putting his silverware down

Eden looks between the two and she could feel both of their emotions. Her eyes met Fives again and she shook her head but he ignores her worry gaze, blinded by anger. He turns around and runs out of the house, spatial jumping into the future but the last thing he heard was Edens voice.

"Five!" That was the last time he heard her voice in awhile

"Not ready my ass" he scoffs as he jumps again and again until he reaches a burning world. He looks around with fear and starts to run the other way to the umbrella academy only to see it in flames.

"Eden! Eden!" He shouts in panic his eyes searching everywhere for her but she was nowhere to be found. He purses his lips and turns around trying to spatial jump but it wasn't working.

"Come on!" He shouts but nothing happened

He looked up and dropped to his knees with tears rolling down his face. His heart felt heavy, his body ached, and his emotions felt numb. His teary eyes were on his finger where a golden band was with the words 'always and forever' engraved into it.

"Oh Eden" he whispered sorrowfully as he caressed the band, more tears falling down his face when he remembered her worried eyes and him ignoring her.

It had been three weeks since Five had left the house and hadn't been back since. Eden felt numb and her family had been worried about her since Five had left. She hadn't exited her room since he left and they haven't even seen her eat anything. The day that her siblings came into her room they were shocked with how she looked. She didn't look like the happy and smiling jokester of the family, she looked dead. Her once tan skin looked paler, her hazel eyes dulled into a shade of the darkest brown, she had lost a significant amount of weight and there were horrible bags underneath her eyes.

And when she looked up at them her eyes were so empty it made Klaus shake. She stared at them with empty eyes and looked like a glass doll. Pogo, Grace and Sir Reginald stood behind the children, Grace and Pogo staring at her in worry and Sir Reginald assessing her.

"Children go on and train, Number Three stay" Sir Reginald says in a firm voice as the children pile out of the room and watch as the door closed behind them.

"Number three I would expect you know what to do" Sir Reginald says as Grace stared at the floor with her hands crossed in front of her.

Allison stares at her youngest sister in sadness as she slowly walks towards her sister. She stared into her cold dull brown eyes and tears started to glaze her eyes. She didn't want to do this but she also wanted her sister to be happy and have that sparkle in her eyes again.

"I-I h-heard a rumor that you don't remember number Five" Allison whispers to her sister who's eyes glazed over and Eden eyebrows furrow. The Hargreeve children could hear what Allison was commanded to do and pursed their lips. Right after Allison had said that Eden passed out and Allison stared down at her sister in worry.

"That'll be enough number three, go on and train with the others" Sir Reginald says as Grace sits beside the unconscious girl

Right when the door opens the other children peak inside the room to see that their sister was 'sleeping '

Eden woke up feeling different and felt as if something was missing. She looked around to see that she was in her room and she stood up walking towards her bookshelf. Her eyebrows furrow when she looks over the picture that was framed.

It was of her on some boys back they were both smiling widely at each other and Eden stared at the boy in confusion. The boy had dark brown hair, green eyes and tall, yet she couldn't recognize him. Her heart ached when she saw him and she furrowed eyes picking the picture frame up when her eyes catch the small diamond ring that laid on her finger. She tilted her head and stared at it but knocked out of it when Grace knocked on the door

"Eden?" Grace questioned and Eden opened the door a smile on her face

"Yes mom?" She asks and Grace stares at the girl with sad knowing eyes.

"Nothing, let's get you in your uniform and downstairs to eat breakfast with the others" Grace says and Eden nods changing into her uniform and following Grace downstairs. Grace led her into the dining room where her siblings were waiting for Reginald. Allison was the first to notice Eden and gasped loudly catching all of their attention.

"Eden!" Allison exclaimed, the rest of her siblings staring at her with wide eyes. Eden stared at them in confusion, she was clearly oblivious to the fact that was asleep for three weeks.

"Hey guys?" She questioned and let Grace sit her down beside an empty seat that seemed so familiar.

Eden stared at the seat in confusion and all her siblings stare at her as of waiting for her to burst but she didn't and instead smiled widely at them. Right when she was about to speak Reginald walked in and stopped for a spilt second, not expecting Eden to be awake.

"Number zero" he nodded in acknowledgment but before they could eat Reginald cleared his throat

"Number Zero stand up " he says in a firm voice and Eden stands up in confusion, her siblings watching her. Her father turned her to the portrait of Five and he placed her right in front of it, Diego making a sound of protest but their father silencing him with glare.

"Who is that number zero?" Reginald asks and Eden quietly stares at the painting, her siblings tensing as Pogo and Grace stared at the girl waiting for her to break down but nothing came as Eden tilted her head to the side before looking at her father.

"I don't know" She says and Reginald nods

"Sit down Number Zero"

Her siblings could see in the past month how much Eden had changed. She was the same yet different, her eyes didn't twinkle like they used to, her smiles were fake and forced, her eyes always confused and she was always quiet.  The day they finally had enough was the day they forced her into an abandoned room in the house.

Luther forced Eden to sit down while Allison stood in front of her forcing a picture of her and Five in front of her.

"Who is this Eden?" Allison asks and Eden stares at it in confusion trying to remember but it causes her head to hurt.

"I don't know" she says and Allison shakes her head

"Yes you do! It's Five!" Allison yells and Luther places a hand on her shoulder as Eden started to tear up in frustration. Five? It sounded so familiar yet so unknown and she just could not remember.

"I said I don't know!" Eden yells back and Allison grits her teeth

"Look at your hand, Eden, that ring was given to you by Five you made a promise to him as he did to you!" Allison screams and Eden stares at the ring, taking it off and looking inside to see the words 'I promise' and she still could not remember until she saw the words 'always and forever' and that's when every little and big memory started to hit her.

"Always and forever?" Five asks while holding out his pinky finger

"Always and forever" Eden says with a wide smile and entwines their pinky fingers

"He promised to always be here with me and I promised the same, he isn't here anymore" Eden whimpers as her whole face crumpled into sad realization that Five wasn't coming back.

Diego slowly walks forward and pulls his sister into a hug and it's like something snapped as heart clenching sobs erupted from Eden. Her whole body shook as tears immediately soaked his shirt. Klaus and Ben flinched at the sound of her sobs. Allison rubs her back as Vanya holds Edens hand, Luther stared at his sister helplessly praying that Five would return so his sister wouldn't look so broken. Her screams and heartbreaking sobs could be heard throughout the whole house and Sir Reginald purses his lips.

"It seems she's remembered"

Five blinks his eyes and his heart broke a little bit. She didn't know who he was for a short amount of time and that broke his heart. If his siblings hadn't forced her to remember she wouldn't remember him at all. She wouldn't remember the special moments they spent at their secret hideout and she wouldn't remember the promise they made to each other and that broke him even more.

"Y-you forgot me" he whispered looking completely broken

"It's not like I had any say in the whole situation and even though dad may seem heartless he cared enough to make me forget because I was so sad I don't think I was living anymore. You left Five, you may have unintentionally or intentionally left but you still left and what broke me the most was realizing you weren't coming back! We wouldn't make childish promises anymore, we wouldn't go to our secret hangout anymore because it wasn't special if the other wasn't there, and we wouldn't dance in the flower field anymore. When you left you took all of me with you" She whispers the last part brokenly with teary eyes

"I'm sorry" Five whispers and Eden sniffles wiping her tears

"Me to" She says
