My alarm rang, I reached out and hit snooze. It was that kinda day where I just didn't wanna get up. 5 minutes later, i got out of bed, and did my morning routine, went downstairs and made myself some coffee. The front door opens.

"Hey." I turned around, showing Luke a smile.

"Hi." He mumbled. Luke throws his keys into the bowl, and dropping his bag. I poured my coffee into my mug, something was wrong.

"Everything okay?" I walked up to him.

"I dont want to talk about it." He said as he walked to the sofa to lay down. Ever since he came back from the military, he wasn't the same, Luke didn't like talking about his feelings, no matter what I said or did. He never liked it. At this point, I just gave him his space.

"I gotta go to work. Go to sleep okay? You look like you haven't slept in days." I leaned over the couch and kiss him goodbye. "Text me when you wake up. I love you." I grabbed my keys, opening the door.

"Love you too." He turns onto his side. I just slowly closed the door and left for work.

Soon as I got to work, Derek was already waiting for me.

"Waiting just for me guapo?" I laughed as we got into the elevator.

"Cant have a pretty girl waiting." I chuckled, turning into a sigh. Derek knew what was up. "Uh no, i know that sigh."

"It's nothing, don't worry." I shrugged it off.

"Boy problems?"

"No, its just a tough morning for my boyfriend, thats all. Im just worried about him." Derek smiles.

"Bambi, you got a boyfriend?"

"Sorry, i knew that we'll be together but..." we just laughed it off. Just as we stepped off the elevator, Aaron was already waiting.

"Hazel with me." We got into the elevator again.

"Got a case?" Derek stops to ask.

"Reid did." The doors shut.

Aaron filled me in about the case, the one Reid found.

"Hey. Just got your message." Aaron said as we arrived to morgue. Reid and Gideon were already there. We put on our gloves.

"Aaron hotchner, Hazel Santos." Gideon introduces us to the man that was in the room with us. "Vic barnes."

"Hi." I gave him a half smile.

"What have we got?"

"This is the second victim. The first one was killed 3 months ago, both in the early morning." Reid went on.

"Did both had their hair chopped?" I asked as I examined the victims hair.

"Uniform didn't make the connection, because he was fixated on this." Barnes lifted up the sheet on the victim, revealing the words HELP, carved into her. Reid and I jaws dropped.

"The first victim didn't have anything carved on her?" Gideon questioned Barnes.

"Just a routine jane doe." He responded back.

"Take a look. A lot are shallow. They're hesitation marks. He's not certain he wants to be killing."

"Makes you think the message he carved is sincere. He's asking the police to help him stop."

"Fits with your kid seeking you out. Part of him wants to get caught."

"I let him go." The sound of Reids voice, ugh. He sounded so lamented. "I'm sorry."

"Hey, dont be. We'll find him." I comforted him.

"If both murders took place in the morning, how come there were no witnesses?" Hotch wondered.

"The motels and alleys around the capitol are notorious. People go out of their way not to look." We just kept looking at the craved words. We all left the morgue and headed back to HQ. Aaron and Gideon went to their offices, Reid to Garcias and I went straight to my desk. I pulled out my phone, no texts from Luke. He's probably sleeping.

"Everything okay?" Emily asked as she sat on my desk.

"Yeah." Here comes Derek.

"Bambi's got boyfriend problems." He sang. Emily's eyes widen.

"Boyfriend?"

"Can we not talk about him?" I sighed. Reid comes in.

"Santos, Morgan come with me!" He runs to the elevator.

"Sorry." I got my coat and ran behind him. Emily sat there by my desk, shocked. I got the keys to the SUV. "Where to?" He hands me the address.

"Found your guy?" Morgan asks him, turning around to the back seat.

"Yeah. Nathan Harris. He's the one that stopped me today." I drove us to the wealthy part of town, where Northwest High School was. Reid was silent through the ride, his leg jumping.

"We made it." I pulled up to the house. We all got out of the car. Derek rang the doorbell. "I'm Hazel Santos with the FBI. Dr. Reid. Agent Morgan. We're looking for your son Nathan." I showed her my badge as she opened the door.

"Why?" She crosses her arms, sounding concerned.

"We just wanna ask him some questions."

"Well, not until you explain what's going on."

"Uh, your son came to talk to me this morning about a murder case." Reid tells her. I saw Nathan coming out from the side.

"Why would Nathan know anything about a murder?"

"No, mom, it's true. I- I did talk to him." He played with his sleeves.

"Do you mind if I speak to him alone?"

"We'll stay out here, ma'am." I walked the mom into the living room as Reid, Morgan and Nathan went to his room.

"O-ok." Soon after that, Derek had Nathan in cuffs. His mother started to freak out. "Why are you taking my boy!"

"Ma'am, we're talking him in for questioning."

"You can come with us." We walked out of the house and drove back to HQ. Reid and Morgan went in to question him, and Gideon went to speak with the mother. I was walking passing the elevators, Emily came in, sighing. "Whats up with you?"

"Juvenile authorities are here." We stopped and looked at them.

"Great." We walked into the bullpen. Garcia hands me a cup of coffee. "Thank you." I gave her a smile. I felt a buzz go off. It was a text from Luke.

I just woke up.

I texted him thats good and left it off like that. I shouldn't get mad that he gave me the cold shoulder. I didn't do anything wrong so why I?

"Hey, meet in the conference room, if Nathan Harris isnt our unsub, we need to work a profile." Aaron walks up to me.

"Sure." I placed my phone in my desk. Aaron went to talk to the others. I made my way to the room and took a seat. Everyone came in.

"D. C. Police sent us these photos of the first victim." JJ stated as she pulled up the photos from the scene.

"This was the unsub's first kill. He held his urges in check for 3 months, and when he couldn't control them any more, he sent this message to the cops. We know the "help" and the hesitation marks mean he was ambivalent about the kill. What we don't know is why he chopped the hair."

"We know that didn't take it with him." I said as we saw the cut strands that were around the body. "We know it's not a trophy."

"It's probably a way to minimize some of their power, robs them of their femininity."

"That fits with him killing during the early morning. It's the time when prostitutes have the least power sexually, as opposed to at night, when he might see them as being on the prowl."

"Hey, I know we're just spitballing this here-" Emily spoke, pointing at the screen. "but this profile points to Nathan Harris."

"I don't wanna talk about Nathan Harris." Hotch tells her.

"Hotch, she is right. He reached out for help. This is an adolescent kid. He's probably intimidated sexually. I don't care how many times he says he didn't do it. He knew about the last victim, and he admitted to getting off on seeing her dead." Derek started going off the list. It has to be him.

"We've got nathan harris. It doesn't do us any good to talk about him now. I just wanna make sure that if it's not him, we stay on top of thing before it takes on a life of its own."

"All right, all right, all right." Gideon brings us back in. "We know our unsub is a sexual sadist."

"The symbolism of stabbing them probably means he's impotent."

"The only way he can get off is by killing."

"Considering that cutting their hair and killing during the early morning both stem from feeling powerless, there's a chance his pathology's more than sexual."

"What do you mean?" I turned to Spencer, who just lost me.

"This is D. C. Power's the most important commodity. Maybe this guy feels impotent in his professional life as well."

"Okay why these particular women?" I asked him.

"Simplest answer is that he has access."

"Well, northwest D. C. Has 3 major hubs of prostitution." jj pulls up the maps on the screen. "near florida avenue; off logan circle; and mcpherson square, where the victims were found."

"Probably works in or around capitol hill."

"Well, me and Santos can go back out on the street in the morning and see if any of these women know someone who fits that description." Emily tells the team.

"Good. It's late. Let's go home." Aaron looks at his watch.

"Um, shouldn't we get word out to the papers?" JJ gets up from the table and turns to Hotch.

"Not yet." Hmm. Something isnt right.

"Well, it's not too late to make the morning edition."

"I said no." And the Hotch leaves. Emily, JJ and I stood there stunned. He would've. I mean, get the word out, protect the women that are out there now.

I got a call early, there was another body. I hopped out of the bed and went to meet up with the team at the crime scene.

"Hey." I said as I saw Emily, putting in our gloves, walking up to the victim.

"Sleep good?"

"You can say that." Emily bends down and takes a look at the belongings.

"It says failure." The craved words that are on her body. Everyone came from behind. Emily showed us the ID. "She was only 16."

"He's getting angrier and blaming the police for not stopping his impulses."

"Certainly not cooling of between kills anymore."

"Which means we are looking at whole lot bodies." Morgan speaks up as he checks the body for more or even new evidence.

"Meanwhile in two days congresswoman Styers is gonna stand at the Capitol an declared DC crime free." Aaron huffs.

"What did she want with you the other day anyway?" Emily budges in. He looks at her.

"It was a pirvate conversation." Hotch just turns away from her.

"Right, Of course."

"I guess we know Nathan Harris is not our unsub." I brought up.

"Should we call Gideon and tell him not to bother with eval?" Emily said as she was about to pull up her phone.

"No, he wants to understand what's happening to him... He deserves to know." Reid stops her. We all gathered up and headed back. Hotch told Emily to see him in his office. Soon as we made it, the headed to Hotchs office. Yikes.

"Talk to me mamas." Derek pulls up, sitting on my desk.

"What about?"

"There's something on your mind." Here we go again. "Still dont want to talk about it?"

"I wish I could but I cant." I patted his hand. "Its hard to explain."

"If you ever need someone to talk to-"

"Of course guapo." I gave him a smile. Later on, after talking to tons of women on the street, Emily and I came up empty handed. Then we got a call from Nathans mom saying that Nathan wasn't home. So Reid and Morgan went out to look for him and then we found another body "so nathan's in custody?" I said coming into the conference room with Emily, as I heard from the crime scene that they arrested Nathan as for a possible suspect.

"I heard they're holding him downtown." Everyone came in and we went back to the profile.

"First victim, he gets a taste for killing. Second, he asks the police to help stop him. By the third, he feels like they've failed him. He's already devolving. The fourth, no ritual, no message, just a brutal murder." Hotch jogs us up, showing the photos.

"It's true that he's devolving, but this last victim definitely had a message. You don't dump a body across from the capitol building by accident."

"Especially not when a congresswoman is about to proclaim success against the crime epidemic." I pointed out.

"Exactly. Guys, that press conference wasn't announced yet. Only someone with inside information would know that." JJ spoke.

"We profiled the unsub felt limited in his job. What's more powerless than being a bit player on the washington stage?"

"You know, if he felt like he did his part to clear the prostitutes off the street, but was never heard, he might have felt so personally betrayed that he literally had to carve his frustration out on those women." Then it clicked

"So the profile was right. We were just wrong about who the message was for." I stood up.

"We need to get a list of anyone who advocated on behalf of that bill."

"Prentiss, when you went back to talk the prostitutes, did a profile ring a bell with any of them?" Hotch turns to her.

"A few of them described what sounded like the same man, but when I showed them mug shots, I came up empty."

"Let's go back to them. We're gonna need their help."

"What are you thinking about, hotch?" Derek Puzzled.

"I need to get a message to congresswoman steyer. How quickly can we put together a press conference?" He then turns to JJ.

"How fast do you need it?" JJ smirks.

We got a suspect. Ronald Weems works in decency watch. We got the word saying he wasn't at home, and he was definitely our unsub. We all took the trip downtown, showing everyone a picture of him and asking if they saw Ronald. Gideon and I drove down the streets, scanning through the crowds. No sign of him, nothing strange. Then we heard a whistle. Gideon drove back and there he was. The officers arrested him.

"They said they'd clean 'em off the streets. They lied. What was I supposed to do?!" Weems yelled out as they put him in the car. After that, Gideon did me the favor to drive me home.

"Thank you." I said, awkwardly. To mention it, it was our first interaction.

"Yeah." He mumble.

"Have a nice night Jason." I smiled, just as I was about to get out, he stops me.

"Hazel." He coughs. "I never had the chance to say, good work from the Hollowman case. You were brave."

"Oh, uh thanks. Anything to catch the bad guy right." He nods and drives off. I got in the house and headed to my room. Luke was sleeping. I hopped in the shower and headed to bed. I kissed his cheek.

"Im sorry." He whispers. He opens his eyes and looks at me.

"Dont be." He holds my hand, playing with the promise ring he gave me.

"No, we promised each other not to bring anything from work to home." He stops. "We were so close on getting this guy but we had a leak and it was my fault. Now hes in the wind." I played his hair as he laid on my chest.

"Amor, it wasn't your fault. Okay, we all have bad days, we have bad cases. You will get him. I promise you that." He kisses my hand. "So, are you done being a baby?" I heard a quiet chuckle from him.

"Oh be quiet." I smiled. Shortly after, stroking his hair, i heard light snores. Those snores turned into two as I fell asleep.
