C.X - Big Bang!

"And, done. Good to say, you're improving in your spells Carissa." Talia acknowledged Carissa as she held her knees for support and tried to catch a breath.

"Hah- haha- phew!" She sighed weaving the words between breathes.

"Worse than my beginner lessons, Crissy." Lyna remarked while offering tea to me and the others.

"Huh! As if?! Our combat sessions are way tougher!" Carissa stood straight and grabbed Lyna by her collar. Negative to the action, Lyna smacked her arm away.

"Woah! No need to get aggressive. Crissy." Lyna mocked receiving a glare from 'Crissy' and a frown from Talia.

"My name isn't.. CRISSY!"

Here we go again....

*Bang* "Crystal Levitus!" "Aagh!" *Thud* "Clubs of Calix!"

I was just sipping some tea and watching the fight, peacefully. Or so I thought-

"Crystal Offencio!"

Suddenly a huge crystal, coming from the current fight, shot at me, dragging me along with it, all the way down to the library. (Maybe breaking a limb or two theoretically)

"Agh! Hey!" I tried to get up but my left leg didn't support it.

Oh cladsnick..

"- Are you okay?!" Auriana ran over and helped me up, followed by Iris - "Watch it you two! You could've hurt her!" That brings to say- Oh yes, As if I haven't already been hurt but we're gonna ignore that aren't we? Glad she doesn't know about our relationship... And-

Suddenly a bright blast happened after Carissa's Clubs and Lyna's Ring collided with eachother. For a minute or two I couldn't even tell what was going on, my eyes blinded by the bright flash of the blast. My consciousness was coming back but at a slow pace while I tried to stand and support myself on an inclined bookshelf. Assuming it had fallen over from the blast, I started to realise my surroundings - Most of the girls were lying unconscious and the arena was half gone while the training room could be seen through several holes caused by the explosion.

My senses came back but the strength of my left leg did not. So I had to limp from one inclined bookshelf to another to get a view of the others in the dense smoke. The ringing in my ears hadn't left yet so I had a lot more trouble to hear Carissa's voice.

"... Agh- .. L-Lyna, I'm so sor-.." Was the only thing she managed to say before I found her trapped inbetween two white stone pillars that seemed to be a bone crushing weight on her now-exhausted body. If she were in her normal athletic state, it wouldn't have been a problem for her, but the state she was in now would be enough to make someone traumatized for life, if they were in such a situation. I limped over to her and knelt down to check her pulse. Luckily she was alive but unconscious to the least. "Carissa? .. Hang on!"

Even the simplest spell was a strain to do at the moment. I tried to use my power to left the pillars but only made one roll off her body while it almost hit me in the torso. Getting the second one off was the real challenge and the most risky, as it was still attached to the the base of the once upright pillar. One wrong move and it would crack the whole floor, resulting in more destruction and more damage.

Just before I cast another spell, I heard someone calling out for us. "Yikes! What happened here?!" Said Mephisto while arriving late to the scene. "Cladsnick! Are you okay?!" He said while running over to me and Carissa.

"I'm fine... It's Carissa." I said since it had been a while since I'd regained my senses (only except that darn leg).

"What about your leg? It doesn't look.. fine?"

"Okay? And what would you do about it?"

"Uhm- haven't really thought about that yet-... Uhh- Hey let's help Carissa!" He said scratching his head.

I rolled my eyes and knelt down to help with the pillar. "Okay, you have any spells that can help?" I asked glancing at Mephisto, who was trying way too hard to pull the pillar off. Seriously? Boy, if it were that easy, why would I ask you?

"Okay-y, that's not working... " He said while falling over a broken bookshelf. "Also, I do know a spell.. but-.." He started, while getting up from the clutter of books beneath him.

"Come on! Finish that sentence!" I said while punching him in the shoulder. Not playfully.

What??? Just because I'm limping, doesn't mean I can't hit people. Also, I really wasn't in a mood for jokes in such a situation.

"Oww!! That hurt!" He said while rubbing the area where I hit him. I just glared at him and I know he got the point. "Right! I-I haven't really done this spell in a while... Don't hit me again."

"No promises."

He held out his hands and drew a few steps back. I did as well, since I didn't really wanna break any other bones today. He closed his eyes with a look of deep concentration. "Ascenseur"

The pillars started moving and shaking, while Mephisto struggled to lift both of them at once. He was getting pushed back from the impact, before I joined in.

Would my magic work with his dark magic? Who cares, at least it's doing something.....

"Huh- AGH!" He shouted while chucking the massive stone pillar straight to the wall, causing a loud bang. He fell to his knees as he was sweating tremendously while I hung on the bookshelf for balance. "Well...-" He started while mopping his brow looking up at me "that- worked....right?"

"Yeah. Good work. I'll get her out of here. You should go check if anyone else is hurt. I'll be back."

I limped over and balanced Carissa on my shoulder. I winced as an extra weight put pressure on my leg. Mephisto had left to go check on the others. I dragged myself and Carissa to the rehearsal room and sat her down on the couch, unconscious. I left the room, and entered the library once again but this time feeling much more relieved.

Limping through the room-
In a one-legged situ-ation!

One-legged? Why does that remind me of someone?.. meh.

Shut up, brain.

The smoke had cleared and it was a lot easier to see that the others were fine, with some minor injuries and all. I spotted the main three talking to each other - Only visible injuries that I had noticed were, Auriana had sprained her knee and Iris had a cut on her cheek, Talia seemed fine but a tired or exhausted expression on her face. Mephisto wasn't in the library which was odd, so I decided to go up to the arena. The arena was, well, in not so good shape. Half the floor of the arena had collapsed into small rock valleys.

"Rhhhg- Ahg!"

I heard a familiar male voice coming from one of the rock valleys, created by the impact. Unsurprisingly I found Mephisto down in the crevice created by the fight. He was trying to pull a rock out of the inclined wall. A dangerous step, as it could cause the crevice to cave in, trapping him down there. "What are you doing?! That's dangerous!" I asked from safe ground.

"Its- it's uh- what was her name, oh- Lyna.. she's stuck in the wall!"

"In the what-?!" I shouted, bending down on my right knee trying to get a better look. Sure enough, it was Lyna, well at least I think it was her, probably because it was only a leg sticking out of the wall. She probably fell down into the crevices and it caved in one her. Something I fear a lot. Getting caved in, isn't exactly fun.

"Hold on, I'm coming down. Be careful! One wrong move and the whole crevice will cave in on you!" I said, sliding down one of the sloped walls. "Yikes." I mutter under my breath. Really doubt that that's a comfortable position. I thought, referring to Lyna.

"Okay, I'll help. We pull on 3.."

He nodded and we both held on to the little edge of the rock that was bare to us.

"2.."

"1!.."

We both pulled with our greatest effort. The rock moved slightly and I put my right leg against the opposite wall, getting a better balance in the little space we had to adjust.

The rock came right off and I toppled onto me. Lyna came tumbling down the small cavity and fell on top of Mephisto, taking both backwards. "Ahh!"

Apparantly she was sort of conscious the whole while but couldn't do anything - cast any spells, or shout - in the situation she was in. They both hit the rock wall and Mephisto banged his head hard. "AHH! Owhh.. why is it always me?!" He groaned. I in the while had been trying to get the rock off of me, but to my luck, my right side was closed off and my left was occupied by Mephisto and Lyna.

Lyna got her conscious back and stood up. "Could you, I don't know, MOVE OVER?!" I asked, more like threatened, both of them. Lyna smiled a nervous smile and pulled Mephisto to the side. I set the slab of marble white substance down and let out a sigh of relief.

"Alright, now let's get out of here."

"What was that all about?!"

"DO YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS THAT WAS?!"

"I'm disappointed in you both."

I sat in my room, trying to avoid listening to Talia and Iris, scolding Lyna and Carissa for their actions. The consequences were very bad, yes, as Carissa and Lyna now won't be able to fight in any upcoming battles for atleast a month or so.

It's sort of ironic for Carissa to be in such conditions, since we all know how she boasts about her Kingdom and its Brave Warriors.

"Well- Sh-She started it!" Carissa shouted, while her brand new crutches squeaked against the wooden floor.

Oh right, Carissa has Crutches!

Carissa with her crutches and Lyna with her shoulder-cast... And they live together in the the same room.

Oh cladsnick...

"I don't care who started it! Why do you two always do this?! You could've hurt yourselves much more severely!"

"Hey hey hey, girls, scolding them won't do anything... Why do you two argue so much?" Auriana stepped in the conversation. Even though I was in my room, across from Lyna and Carissa's, where it was going on, I could make out perfectly how the situation was for both of them.

"We... I- I don't know..." Lyna replied half confused and half guiltily.

I got up, not bearing anymore of this nuisance, and walking to their room. "Just admit it. This is a consequence of both your egos. You both constantly compare eachother in hope to prove that one's better than the other." I said, crossing my arms and leaning on the door frame.

Everyone turned to me, Auriana looking worried for the both of them, while Iris and Talia had sturn faces of disappointment.

"You think that one of you or one of your kingdom is better than the other. While in reality, both of you and your kingdoms are the best in their own ways, and if you fail to realise that, then you should get used to these consequences. Peace out." I gestured a salute and got myself out of there before things got deep.

What? I said what I wanted to say and left, without wanting to hear someone correct my opinion. My opinion is my opinion, and I don't want to get myself involved in anything else.

I had been walking away from their room and till I broke away from my thoughts, I realised that I had reached the front door. I grabbed the doorknob and swung the door open.

I don't know what I was expecting at this point to be honest. But of course, I'd always bump into Mephisto for two - three times a day, on a daily basis!

"Hey! What do you think about the new me?" He said, gesturing to a whole new Mephisto. He was wearing normal clothes for the first in forever!

Astonishing development!

Also.. I'm not gonna lie - he was stunning, yes.

"Yeah, Great." I gave him a thumbs up.

"Amaruu-uuu!!!" Amaru jumped up in front of me and I caught him in my arms before he fell to the hard ground.

"Hey there, buddy! Haven't seen you for a long time, enjoying yourself?" I smiled, scratching the spot under his chin. Amaru has been in a good mood since Auriana sewed him a new sweater - a bit tacky, yes - but nonetheless, it's the sweetest thing.

Walking to the backyard (or back lake?) dock, I could hear Carissa and Lyna still getting scolded from upstairs.

Sigh "Guess that'll never get old will it? You agree with me don't you?" I asked sitting on the dock as Amaru snuggled against my face.

Consequences make us learn.. But Injuries carve those lessons into our senseless forgetting memories so that we don't forget them.

Wait, I got injured, what did I learn?

"..."

I really shouldn't be giving advice.
