"There we go Chaos. You got it" Maverick mumbled with a smile. His sister was re-engaging.

"Ice is right below us. He's got a MiG on his tail" Merlin said to Chaos.

"He's firing! Break left, break left!" Slider shouted to Ice as he quickly turned the plane to the left.

"I'm coming in Ice" Chaos announced "I'm coming in. I got two MiGs dead ahead. Good tone. I got good tone! Good tone, good tone! Firing!"

"Talk to me Goose" Maverick said. Goose turned around in his seat and watched the missile that Chaos just fired take out the enemy MiG that was trailing Ice and Slider before another missile came and took out their MiG.

"We're clear, we're clear!" Goose said with a smile and turned back around in his seat.

"Two MiGs dead ahead, closure eight hundred miles an hour" Merlin read on the scanner.

"Yeah I seem them" Chaos nodded "I'll take it left. Mav, you with me?"

"You know I always got your back Chaos" Maverick responded.

"Let's do this" Goose said.

"Oh, my god" Merlin muttered when he saw two MiGs fly past them "Ice is right below us with a MiG on his tail"

"He's firing! Break left!" Slider told him "He overshot!"

"We're coming in Ice" Chaos said as she pulled the aircraft down with Maverick not far behind her.

"I got him, Chaos" Iceman acknowledged "One MiG passing between us"

"How we doing Goose?" Maverick asked his RIO "We got a MiG on our two" Goose replied "Come on Mav, do some of that pilot shit"

"Hey Chaos, you got this one?"

"I got it Mav don't worry" Her brother nodded and took off to the right with his MiG still behind him while Chaos put all her focus on Ice and Slider.

"Chaos check the guys to the north, check the guys to the north!" Slider told her.

"Banking left, banking left!" Chaos announced "There's the son of a bitch. Get him Ice, get him!"

"Okay you guys, I'm coming in!" Ice told them.

"Oh shit Mav, Chaos has a MiG on her tail" Goose said just as Merlin spotted them.

"Chaos we got a MiG coming around on our tail. We gotta get out of here" Merlin told his pilot.

Chaos shook her head "I can't leave Ice" She wasn't leaving her boyfriend.

"He's still coming around, he's still coming around! He's gonna get behind us" Merlin shouted as he kept eyes on the enemy MiG.

"I'm not leaving my wingman" She said adamantly, steering her plane towards Ice just like Maverick was now that he had shot down the MiG who was following him.

"I'm on his tail, I'm on his tail. I'm going for it" Ice said into the radio "I'm going for it. I'm going for the shot right now. Roger, engage. I've got radar lock. Good tone, I'm taking the shot! Fire!"

Iceman's missile hit the MiG head on as it exploded "Bingo!" Ice smiled.

"Wash that sucker, yeah!" Slider cheered as Chaos chuckled under her mask. You could tell how happy they both were.

"Ice watch out! There's a MiG to your right, he's firing!" Maverick spotted it first but it was too late, he had already been hit in the right engine.

"I'm hit! I'm hit!" Ice shouted.

"We're hit, we're hit in the right engine" Slider continued.

"I'm shutting it down! I'm shutting it down!" Ice shut the right engine down as Chaos set her sights on the MiG.

"Ice that bogey is still behind you" Maverick warned him.

"Coming in Ice, I'm coming in. I'm manoeuvring for shot" Chaos positioned herself behind the MiG trying to get a shot.

"Stay with him Chaos, stay with him" Merlin leaned forward and patted her shoulder to tell her she could do this.

"Take the shot. Nail him, nail him!"

"Shit! Ice, I can't get a tone" She told her boyfriend.

"Shoot Chaos!" He shouted "I can't get him off my tail!"

Ivy took a deep breath to steady herself when she saw that Ice had been hit again.

"Chaos, Maverick, we're hit again!"

"Slider, how you guys looking?" Maverick asked as Goose was constantly checking their tail and Chaos was trying to come up with some sort of plan.

"It's okay" Slider replied and they all released a breath "Both engines are functional. We're okay"

"Ice, on the count of three, break hard right" Chaos instructed "Three, two, one. Break right!"

Ice did as he was told and pulled the joystick to the right as Chaos took the shot but at the last second the MiG moved out the way "Dammit I missed!"

"Don't let him go!" Merlin said "Stay on him Chaos"

"I got him, I got him" Chaos came up behind him "I'm taking the shot" She fired another missile, hitting the MiG successfully "You're not the only one with a gun, bitch"

"Chaos move, there's a MiG on your tail!" Ice spotted the enemy trailing behind his girlfriend.

"We got a problem here, we've only got one missile left" Chaos told her RIO.

Merlin turned around in his seat and spotted the aircraft "I got him, I got him! He's right on us, he's on our tail!"

"Shit!" She swore as a round of bullets fired at her but she missed them by an each after spinning the aircraft around.

"You haven't lost him, he's still with us"

Chaos quickly glanced over her shoulder "All right. Come and get it" She let him chase her before she started slowing down.

"What are you doing?!" Merlin frowned "You're slowing down! You're slowing down!"

"I'm bringing him in closer Merlin" She told her RIO but he wasn't convinced.

"You're gonna do what?!" He exclaimed as he watched the MiG try and get a lock on them "This is it Chaos"

"I'm gonna hit the brakes and he'll fly right by" Chaos said calmly while Merlin sounded like he was going to have a heart attack.

"Shit he's gonna get a lock on us" Merlin reported and just as the MiG got a lock on them, Chaos hit the brakes and watched with a smile as the aircraft flew right by them.

"I got a lock" She said and flipped the switch from guns back to missiles "Firing!" She pressed the button and watched as the aircraft exploded and debris fell from the sky. Merlin cheered with a fist to the air as Ivy smirked and flew back towards Ice and Maverick.

"Scratch four!" Maverick cheered.

"Great balls of fire!" Goose cheered after him.

"Mustang, this is Voodoo Three, remaining MiGs are bugging out" Merlin reported back as the whole of the control room started to clap and cheer.

Ivy unclipped her mask and smiled as she looked at her boyfriend and brother who were flying at either side of her. Now it was time to head home but not before buzzing the tower.

"Mustang, this is Chaos requesting a flyby" Ivy radioed to the carrier's air control tower.

"Negative, Ghostrider, the pattern is full" The commander replied, denying her request and it reminded her of the time her and Bullet denied as Ivy and Maverick laughed.

"Excuse me, is there something I should know about?" Merlin asked curiously as his pilot smiled and picked up Theo's dog tags once again.

"This one's for you Bullet" She said and together the three aviators buzzed the tower as the commander nearly choked on the coffee he had just been handed.

"God damn them two" The commander referred to Chaos and Maverick who were known for buzzing the tower after they already got told no.

Once they landed back on the carrier, the pilots and their RIO's were greeted with a hero's welcome as a huge crowd of naval officers, radar officers, shooters and fellow pilots surrounded them with claps and cheers.

Climbing out of her jet with Merlin, Ivy met Ice's gaze and smiled at him before she was brought into a hug by her brother who spun her around and kissed the top of her head once her feet were back on the floor.

Chaos let out a laugh as she was then pulled into a hug by Goose "You were amazing out there Ivy!" He added before he let out a loud cheer with Maverick as the dark haired pilot lifted him up before moving on to Wolfman and Hollywood who had just disembarked from the rescue helicopter.

Ivy smiled at the two and walked over to were Merlin was "I just wanted to say thank you" She stuck her hand out to him "I couldn't of done any of that out there without my RIO having my back" She finished with a smile and hugged the man when the voice of her boyfriend grabbed everyone's attention.

"You!" Ice pointed at Maverick who walked towards him and took off his aviator sunglasses as did Chaos as she too walked over to them "You two are still dangerous" He paused and a smile made its way onto his face "You can be my wingman anytime"

Maverick smiled "Bullshit. You can be ours" He replied and pulled Ice in for a hug as everyone cheered even louder around them.

Ivy chuckled from where she stood leaning against her plane when Slider came and hoisted Maverick up into a hug also. Ice then walked over to her and without a word he snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her in close as he smirked before leaning down to kiss her.

The crowd seemed to cheer even louder at the displayed affection between two pilots that had made history that day along with Maverick, Hollywood and their RIO's.

Once they pulled away Ivy smiled up at him with nothing but love in her eyes "I love you, Tom Kazansky"

Iceman smiled "And I love you, Ivy Mitchell" He repeated, kissing her once more.

Ivy smiled into the kiss and when they eventually pulled away she felt like someone was staring at them as she turned her head to see Maverick and Goose smiling at the couple while Slider whistled with a smile at his pilot and the girl he now saw as a sister.

Chaos smiled. She couldn't ask for a better family "Come on guys, bring it in" She beckoned them over for a group hug and they gladly accepted the offer.

And for that moment it was just them as the world slowly faded around them and the cheering got quieter and quieter.
