It was the next day now and Pete, Ivy, Theo and Goose were waiting patiently for Carol, Bradley and Jessica's plane to land. The four were sitting in the diner area of the airport while eating some fries to pass the time "I told her how tough it is out here. My ass dragging like an old tired dog and how are you and Ivy are taking it very seriously on who's gonna win the trophy" Goose rambled on while Maverick and Ivy both let out a laugh.

"Yeah and we've got this in the bag, haven't we Theo?" Ivy asked, putting her arm over her RIO's shoulder. He smiled and placed a small kiss to her hairline "We do indeed"

Maverick smirked with a nod before shovelling some more fries in his mouth "For now" Ivy just gave him the middle finger in response when she spotted Carole, Bradley and Jessica walking in their direction "Looks who's here"

Stepping outside into the cool air, Carole runs towards Goose who grabs and spins her around before handing her the bouquet of flowers he had bought earlier that day. Bradley was sleeping on her shoulder when they arrived but was soon awake from all the commotion.

Bullet had just finished spinning Jessica around, placing a loving kiss on her lips and Ivy smiled at the action. It was nice to see her best-friend so happy "Jessica Scott but you can call me Jess, it's so nice to finally meet you" The woman said, embracing Ivy in a hug she wasn't expecting. Goose and Maverick had already found out about Jessica being pregnant in the morning and they were beyond excited of spoiling their little niece or nephew.

"Ivy Mitchell but you can call me Chaos" She motioned to Maverick who was stood next to her "And this is my brother Pete, callsign Maverick" After introductions were done and hugs were passed around, the group walked out of the airport with Goose's arm around Carole, Theo's arm was around Jessica and Pete was walking beside his sister who was carrying Bradley on her hip.

"Maverick! Goose told me on the phone that you're in love with one of your instructors!" Carole said in a very loud voice causing Ivy to immediately burst out laughing and the rest soon followed.

"Is that right?" Maverick stared at Goose who looked down with a guilty expression on his face.

"I didn't tell her that" Goose quickly defended himself but it was already too late "Yes, you did" Carole said not missing a beat.

"Busted Goose" Ivy smiled "If I were you I'd run now and never look back" She said in a joking voice.

"I can't believe you said that. That was a secret" Goose laughed, soon making a run for it when he saw Maverick still staring at him. Ivy shook her head with a smile as she watched her brother run after his RIO. God she wished things could stay like this forever but sadly, life's never that simple.

Ivy was stood in front of her mirror while slicking her hair back into a military bun when she heard a small knock on her door "Come in" She said to whoever was behind the door as the majority of her focus was on making sure her bun was as neat as possible.

"Hey gorgeous" Chaos couldn't help but smile when she heard that voice. Iceman "Thought I'd come and say hi before my training this morning" He said, walking over and hugging her from behind. His head rested comfortably on her shoulder while his eyes fixated on her and what she was doing.

"Well I'm glad you did" She smiled at him through the mirror before spraying the last piece of hair spray on her flyaways. When she was finally done, she turned around in the man's arms and placed a small kiss on his lips.

Ice smiled, placing his hand on her cheek "I could get used to this" He mumbled against her lips making her smile into the kiss "Me too" She wrapped her arms around his neck "But if you don't get going in the next five minutes, you're gonna be late for your training" She smiled up at the man making the pilot's famous 'ice cold' stare soften in just a couple of seconds.

"Okay but before I go, I've got a very important question for you" Ivy shook her head with a smile "And what is this important question, Kazansky?"

"Dinner with me, tonight. Round about six if that's okay with you?" Iceman asked with a cocky grin on his face.

"Of course I will and yeah, six is perfect"

The blonde pilot nodded and pecked Chaos on the lips "Great now I'll see you later, alright?" He smiled before practically running out of the room. Chaos smiled at the spot where Ice had been previously stood before she too realised the time.

Quickly putting on her uniform and grabbing her morning coffee, she then rushed out of her room to go meet up with Bullet and kill sometime before class started. Arriving at the classroom they would be using, Maverick and Goose were just walking up with Iceman and Slider not far behind.

Soon as Maverick saw his sister he didn't hesitate to pull her into his side and place a small kiss on the crown of her head. Ivy looked up at him with a smile "Hey, Mav. You okay?" He nodded slowly but by the look on his and Goose's face. Something had happened or something was about to happen.

Ivy smiled at Iceman before walking into the quite dark classroom that had many big screens at the front. Taking a seat on the second row it didn't take long for the other three to follow suit "The bogey has good position right here. Freeze frame" Viper ordered, showing four aircraft's on the screen. Two meaning to be theirs and the other two as the enemy.

"Moment of choice. The F-14 is defensive. He has a chance to bug out right there. Better to retire and save your aircraft than push a bad position. Charlie, jump in at anytime. You stay in that Diamond another three seconds and the bogey's gonna blow you away. You take a hard right, select zone five, you can extend an escape. You made a bad choice. Charlie?" Viper finished, looking to where the blonde stood.

"Aircraft one performs a split S? That's the last thing you should do. The MiG's right on your tail. Freeze there. The MiG has you in his gunsight. What were you thinking?" Charlie asked and now Ivy understood why Maverick looked pissed when he walked in.

"You don't have time to think up there. If you think, you're dead" Maverick stated causing Chaos to smirk at his words.

"That's a big gamble with a thirty million dollar plane, Lieutenant" Charlie said, her focus directed onto Maverick.

"Oh yeah because that thirty million dollar plane is much more important than the safety of the pilot. Right?" Ivy spoke up, all eyes staring at her as Theo nudged her in the leg to stop talking but of course that didn't stop her from speaking the truth.

"Certainty not Lieutenant" Charlie said causing Chaos to let out a sarcastic chuckle as her response "Unfortunately, it worked. The MiG never got a clean shot. Maverick makes an aggressive vertical move and defeats him with a missile"

"So what you're saying is the mission was successful, Maverick and Goose took out the enemy bogey meaning them and their wingman are coming home safely with your thirty million dollar plane still intact from when it took off?" Chaos locked eyes with Charlie as she spoke "No disrespect ma'am but I don't see the problem here"

"Yes Lieutenant, the encounter was a victory, the plane is intact and the pilots are coming home but, we show it as an example of what not to do. Iceman is next"

Ivy's jaw clenched as she shook her head "Bullshit" She muttered meaning Viper and Charlie didn't hear her but the pilots behind her and in-front of her did as they all had to hold back their laughs "Hey" She got her brothers attention who was looking just as pissed as his sister "Don't sweat it okay? You did what you had to do to get the job done. Something either one of us would of done" Maverick smiled and nodded at his older sister before turning his attention back to the screen.

Hollywood then leant closer to Maverick and spoke quietly "Gutsiest move I ever saw" Maverick gave him a small nod of appreciation.

After the incident in the classroom Ivy had decided to go to the gym to blow off some steam. And she clearly got into it because she didn't even notice when Iceman came walking through the door "Don't you have somewhere to be?" The blonde said in a teasing voice making Ivy jump but when she glanced at the clock on the wall, her eyes widened. It was half six.

"Oh shit" She cursed as she sat up from the weight bench covered in sweat and hard work. She thanked Ice when he walked over with her water bottle that he'd grabbed from her bag on the floor "I'm so sorry Ice. I was meant to set an alarm on my phone for when I needed to start getting ready but I guess I forget. I know it's a lame excuse and-"

Iceman bent down so he was eye level with Ivy and cut off her rambling with his cold hand now resting on her thigh "It's okay Ivy, it's really not a big deal. The main reason I asked you to have dinner with me tonight was so I could ask you if you wanted to be my girlfriend. But now that plans have changed" He took a deep breath before asking his next question "Ivy 'Chaos' Mitchell, would you do me the honour of being my girl?"

Ivy nodded with a chuckle, bringing the boy in for a very sweet kiss "Does that answer your question?" She smiled when the two had to pull away for some air.

Ice shrugged "I don't know. I think I'm gonna need another one just to be sure" Chaos shoved him in the shoulder playfully before leaning forward and capturing his lips in hers once again.

"I love you Tom" Chaos muttered against his lips making him smile even wider than before. His hands resting on her hips "I love you too Ivy"
