SUNDAY • NOVEMBER 28TH

•--+--+--•

Senpai had no choice but to follow the sapphic couple, and well... Whitty. Thankfully, Carol was leaving him alone, busy fawning over their partner and littering Sunday's face with kisses. He gulped slightly. 'Ayana would've dared me to kiss him, most likely.'

The strawberry blonde male was having mixed feelings, unsure if he was grateful for Whitty having left the party a bit earlier or not.

'Maybe if he didn't leave, all I'd have to do was give him a simple kiss on the cheek...' He could only internally sigh, shaking his head. His head was filled with hypothetical scenarios about the possibilities. It was starting to grow tiresome. Ever since Ayana's stupid, drunk dare Whitty was all he could think about.

He hated it.
...

He hated it so much.

But he could never hate Whitty. Now that he thought about it. It was just a feeling he felt about a lot of people, he couldn't hate them. Well, he could hate Ayana.
'I'm starting to anyways.'

Senpai flipped up the blossom pink hood up a bit, trying to hide his face as he took a glance over at Whitty. The tall bomb-headed man was looking at the ground, his hands deep in his hoodie pockets while he stared off into space. Blinking every so often.
His expression was well hidden by the shadow that was cast on his face but his eyes. But jesus, his eyes...

Senpai looked away after a second of staring. His eyes were so interesting, almost beautiful. He has never seen such a bright shade of that type of orange- or was it more amber? Red? He shook his head, kicking an acorn cap away and into the street.
Senpai peeked back over, he probably looked like a weirdo.
The strawberry blonde blinked as he got a good look at Whitty's outfit, it was something simple, nothing too basic but nothing over the top.
Whitty was wearing the same large, teal jacket he was at the party, but this time it was unzipped to expose a, black band tee with an instantly recognizable smile, underneath. He also wore some black ripped jeans, along with the very big orange-and-white shoes.

Senpai finally turned away, looking away and over at the other side of the street, thinking. 'Does he like the band Nirvana?' he wondered, blinking slowly. He personally didn't listen to the band or really, any of their music, but one of his old close friends did. Maybe it could be a possible conversation starter?

It didn't take much longer for them to reach the cafe- or well, it was more of a coffee shop but whatever. It had the word CAFE in big bold letters on the roof so, it only made sense to refer to it as such.
Entering inside the shop, Senpai was instantly greeted by the smell of roasted coffee beans and baked goods, like fresh muffins and macrons. Inside the little, quaint, shop, it was decorated beautifully. The walls painted a peaceful and warm cream color, pictures hung from the walls by unseen nails. In the frames were images of staff and paintings. Senpai looked over at the left side of the cafe, a painting of a branch of a cherry blossom tree stuck out to him the most. He smiled softly at it.

Besides the painting on the left side of the cafe, on the right side there were red-orange cozy-looking double booths clustered in the left side, pressed against a brick wall with singular, low hanging half circle-shaped lights near the middle of each long, rectangular, wooden table, with a thick metal pole keeping it sturdy. Small napkin holders and mini black baskets with salt and pepper shakers in each of them were placed neatly at the end of the table, pressed against the wall.

A couple of the booths were already taken by happy groups of friends and families.
Tamaki looked at Carol to see her pointing at a booth seat, holding onto Sunday's arm, leaning into them with a bright smile.
Senpai could only sigh as he turned away, looking- er well, admiring the right side of the restaurant where he usually sat.

He immediately looked at the seat he usually sat at, a nice little table by one of the large glass windows. The window was decorated with erasable paints that listed the day's special.
Looking away from his main spot, Senpai looked around. The right side of the cafe was filled with round-circular tables, with the same- if not incredibly similar, treatment with the bigger rectangular tables. The same metal pole to keep it sturdy, this time with four dark oak seats and red cushions.
The floor looked freshly mopped. The oak tite floor darkened by the water.

A janitor pulling a yellow mop-bucket filled with gross water, passed by them. It was an old guy, in his late forties, with a graying beard. He looked over and when he saw Senpai, the janitor's eye lit up. "Oh! Senpai! Haha! Glad to see you today!" he smiled, "I'll get Catherine over to y'all's so she can get ya's a seat!"

Carol turned over her shoulder and up at him, smirking slightly. "You know him?" she questioned.
Senpai blinked, feeling a bit embarrassed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Er, sorta? I'm just a regular here."

•••

Sitting in the leather feeling, red booth seat was a nice choice.
Senpai sat beside the window... And Whitty... as Carol sat across from him and Sunday across from Whitty.

He scanned the menu. It was covered in a plastic that was peeling away at the top right edge, and it was slightly dirty. He could see a coffee stain under the plastic, though he didn't mind. He found it rather comforting if he was being honest.

Before long Catherine, a main waitress, came walking around the corner and towards the table.
"Ah! Hello, Senpai!" She smiled, a warm smiled and a slight flush on her face. She was wearing some lip glass and more, darker eye-shadow. Trying to impress someone? He could only guess who...
"Catherine, hello!" He greeted with a gentle nod.
"Well, how can I help you guys?" The blonde girl asked, taking the pen out from behind her ear.
"What can I get you four started with?"

Carol smiled softly, before looking up at the waitress, "I'll have a fruit-and-yogurt parfait!" Catherine nodded, writing it down in her little notepad, "Would you like granola with it?"
"oh, yeah! Yes please! oh- and can I have some toast with a side of avocado?" Tamaki, without realizing it began to block everything out, spacing out as he turned and looked out the window. Letting Carol, Sunday and Whitty order first until finally it was his turn.

"...erm, Senpai?" a small tap on his shoulder made him flinch, "h-huh?" he looked over to see Catherine leaning forward a bit, her arms extended with her pen out.
She had tapped him on the shoulder with the pen.

"Oh- my order. Apologies." He chuckled, looking away when he felt the eyes of everyone on him.
He shifted in his seat to sit more upright as he told Catherine, the tall blonde, his order. She wrote it down quickly, "Your drinks and food will be here soon! Except a..." She paused, thinking before smiling. Having an answer. "10 minute wait and you'll have it soon!"
She then turned and walked off towards the kitchen, opening the large metal looking door that swung open with ease and with that. She was gone.

"Way to space out." Sunday chuckled, blinking with tired looking eyes. 'they have eyebags.' he noted.

"I didn't mean to do that." He chuckled shyly, "I was just looking out the window."

Carol giggled, "what, and look at cars go by?" They joked, smirking. "Oh yes, that red truck is so interesting."
Senpai laughed quietly, smiling.
It was quiet for a moment when he realized everyone was quiet. He looked around the table, clearly looking confused.
"...is something the matter?" He asked. "Did I... do something?"
"That was the most adorable laugh I've ever heard." Carol said with no hesitation.
"H-huh?" 'an adorable laugh?'

Sunday punched Carol lightly on her shoulder. "Don't mind her." The tanned-skinned enby huffed, "she likes to compliments stupid things,"
Carol rolled her dark brown eyes, smirking. "You weren't saying that when I complicated your little mole."
Sunday looked away, smiling. "Yeah, yeah." They said.

Senpai smiled before he turned towards Whitty, he had almost forgot about Whitty. The bomb-headed man was incredibly quiet.
Whitty instantly met his gaze. They two held on for a couple seconds before Senpai turned away.
'its still awkward.' he thought, blinked as he fiddled with his blossom-pink hoodie straps. He looked up at Carol, remembering Carol's voice through the phone when Whitty had called earlier this afternoon.

•••

Senpai had just finished eating. He was waiting patiently for everyone to finish, Whitty had already finished up his food as well, but had left to go use the backroom to go wash up.

Carol was eating her avocado toast, which he personally disliked, but to each their own.
Sunday sipped on their third order of black coffee.

And Whitty was still washing up.

It was a peaceful silence, the sound of cooking in the back and steam was heard occasionally but it wasn't bothersome.

"I'm going to use the restroom." Senpai said after a couple moments.
"Don't forget, women's bathrooms is on the right." Carol laughed, Senpai paused before he looked over, snickering softly before he stood up and left.
He passed a couple occupied and unoccupied tables on the way before he pushed open to the bathroom door.

He opened the dulled blue-grey bathroom door to be greeted with Whitty washing his hands at the sink. His hood down.
Senpai looked at the back of his head to see it infact did have a bomb wick... And a big white 'x' shape.

'Intresting.' the strawberry blonde thought, walking past Whitty he gave a quick greeting as he began to walk to an empty stall.
"Hello, Whitty."
Whitty looked over, before back at the sink. Muttering a quick hello back.

~
Senpai pressed the soap dispenser a couple times before he got little dollop on his hands. Whitty was nowhere to be seen, he had just figured that he left as he heard the bathroom door close not to long ago.
This date was... Well not really great. It felt more like an uncomfortable hangout with friends. 'But, with the knowledge that someone who likes you, is there.'

Carol had been questioning him about his romantic life and— Jesus. He kinda wished he didn't accept the offer, but, he was also getting to know Whitty. Apprently he had a little brother, named Junior.

He smiled as he remembered what happened almost 30 minutes earlier. Whitty had offered to show a picture, opening his phone to expose his wallpaper being his younger brother, Junior, with a dirty red jersey on.
The tall bomb man then went on to tell the stories of how he (Junior) had reacted when he lost his first tooth, along with other wholesome memories he had, had with much his younger brother.
It was an adorable moment, and one of the few times he ever saw Whitty smile. Or speak much, for that matter. But when Whitty noticed that he was practically rambling, he shut up and apologized.

Senpai finished up drying his hands with a now wet paper towel and tossed it out in the large dark gray trashcan, he pushed open the bathroom door with his elbow, before he was back out into the main area. Senpai noticed his table, almost immediately, and walked over. When he arrived Sunday chuckled, "not to be rude, but like, dude. You walk like a fucking model."
Senpai looked confused, "huh? Who, me?"
Sunday chuckled, "yeah dude. Fuckin' you just walking down towards the table, you looked like you were walking on a runway. It was kinda funny."
Senpai looked over back towards the bathroom before back at the dark haired enby. "I see." He nodded.

"Well. Would someone mind handing me my bag? I have to leave. I'll leave my money for my part of the bill."
Carol looked over at Sunday, before back.
"Oh- Yeah, sure. Me and Sunday were gonna order something else. Guess Whitty's third-wheeling again." She looked over at her tall bomb-headed friend, smiling.
Whitty looked over at him before her turned to where he had originally sat. It took only a second, but Whitty grabbed his brown messager bag and handed it to him.
Senpai took it gratefully, but as if he was in some sort of stereotypical white girl romance movie, the two breifly touched hands.
Tamaki was quick to take the bag and sling it over his shoulder.
"Ah- sorry." He gave an apologetic smile. He really wanted to hurry out of the cafe, he wanted to be back in his dorm or even at Monika's apartment which she shared with the other girls. He might just do that...

Senpai pulled his white wallet out. There were small little painted on patches of some hearts and his pansexual pride flag.
He pulled out a twenty dollar bill along with the five, and placed it down on the wooden table.
"Sorry if I over pay, just—" he paused for second, "just say it's a tip. Well, I have to go. It was... Nice hanging out with you all." He cast a kind smile at Whitty, before looking away.

Carol smiled, "it was nice meeting you too! And, I would just like to say, lovely pansexual flag."
Senpai paused, a bit confused before he realized that they were referring to his wallet. "Oh! Thanks." He chuckled nervously, "I painted it myself when I  finally realized I was pan. It was originally just some small act of rebellion I had against my mother." He rubbed the back of his neck.
Sunday spoke, "oh! Your Pan? That's chill, I'm bisexual. So is Whitty."
'so... He isn't straight.'

Senpai nodded, "huh. Interesting. That's nice to know. Don't wanna be handing around a bunch of cishets." He jokingly rolled his eyes, Carol let out a laugh.
"Good thing I'm neither." The dark-skinned girl grinned. "Unfortunately, big bad wolf Whitty here is cis. Gross." She stuck her tongue out at her friend.
Whitty chuckled, "yeah well, I'm sure Senpai's cis too."
Senpai almost felt his head leap, a euphoric feeling washed over him. 'ah, if only.'
"Unfortunately, I'm afraid you're wrong." He sighed, "I'm transmasc."
Carol gasped, looking incredibly surprised. Sunday nodded, letting out a small "huh." And Whitty blinked as he looked over at him, he noticed Whitty scan his entire body before back up at his face.
"I've gotten both surgeries, so no need to ask. Now, if you excuse me. I have to leave."

He waved, not letting the trio get in another word as he headed towards the door, the strawberry blonde male pushed open the door, the bell jingled as he left.
He turned right, the opposite direction of where he usually went, but he knew the path home to the dormitories this way. Going right from the cafe instead of left was just a longer way home.

Senpai was going to head to Monika's apartment. There was a lot to unpack now and he was sure all the girls would want to know everything.
