Ch 4: 'The Only Thing That Matters'

[And onto chapter 4 we go. Honestly, after writing last week's chapter, I really wanted to start work on this one. It's been fun getting into this book, and it feels like it's progressing nicely, which is cool. I'm also deliberately slowly watching the anime so I can get a real vibe of the show whilst not going too far ahead where I forget certain ideas I have. So, all in all, everythingseems to be going according to plan, hopefully now that we're in U.A. we can kick this thing into another gear.]

[Your POV]

The night after I opened my acceptance letter, All Might finally made contact with me. I was a little sceptical on it all. I mean, I got into U.A. so my attempt at keeping my promise to Izuku was on track. But after the way I acted when my letter didn't arrive straight away, I started growing worried that perhaps I was getting more attached to the idea of attending a hero school instead of doing what really matters in the long run. Nevertheless, as cold winds brush against my face, I now find myself standing on the sandy shores I had come to know in the last week of my training with the number one hero. Speak of which, his frail exterior was the only thing I currently laid my eyes on as I waited for him to speak first.

All Might: "Congrats on getting accepted."

(Y/n): "Uh, thanks. I, um... I wasn't really thinking about it much."

That was a lie. It was all I could think about, unfortunately. But All Might didn't need to know that.

(Y/n): "S-So...What did you want to speak to me about? Especially here of all places?" [Chuckles] "I don't think I wanna see abeach for a while after cleaning this shitheap u--"

All Might: "Language!"

(Y/n): "H-Huh? Oh! Right. So...You wanted to see me?"

Boy, I sounded like a school kid. Then again, I technically am one. But still, just sounding this way wasn't something I was exactly a fan of.

All Might: "I asked you here because I wanted to congratulate you on getting accepted, and to let you know I didn't tell the school of our connection."

(Y/n): "Oh...W-Why not? Hehe... Wouldn't that be something the school would need to know? You know, me being your successor or whatever?"

All Might: "Well, I thought you'd probably think that was cheating, right? You seem like that kind of person who would?"

(Y/n): [Thoughts] "Not when it means helping with what I have planned, no." [Out loud] "Uh, yeah. Y-You know it. Haha..."

For reasons unknown, despite the way we met, All Might seems to see me as just an overage kid in this world looking to use his powers to help people. Of course, he doesn't know my true intentions, and I plan to keep it that way. So, whilst in reality, I'm slowly working my way through just another hurdle in order to truly save this world. In the eyes of All Might, I'm just some generic kid looking to be like any other happy sappy Super Hero. But if that keeps him at ease, and not questioning my true intentions, I'll continue to play the role if I must.

All Might: "Anyway, while you're in U.A. I'll be able to keep a closer eye on you. So, if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask alright?"

(Y/n): "Oh, that's right. You're a teacher at U.A. now, huh?"

All Might: [Chuckles] "I know. I get a little surprised when I think about it too." [Sighs] "Oh, well, we do what me must in this life. Right?"

(Y/n): "Yeah...Right."

Whether All Might meant that phrase for one thing or another, little did he know just how much I agreed with what he said. In life, as heroes, and as normal people, we will do what we must. Whether that be to get to a place on time. To protect those we care about. Or to make up for pastmistakes. In the end, we will do what we must. It's in our genes. And me? I'm no different. So as I take my first steps through those school gates tomorrow, I will do whatever I must to become a ProHero, and truly save the world. Just likeIzuku would have wanted.

--The Next Day--

As the next day finally rolled around, I was fast at getting ready for my first day atU.A. Such was obvious with how fast I was packing up my bag. Though the speed at which I was currently going at wasn't so much out of wanting to get to U.A. before anyone else. But more so due to the fact that my Mother's voice was constantly asking the same questions over and over again to the point I needed to get out of here before I had to deal with any more of it.

Inko: "(Y/n), do you have your bodyspray? You know how you get smelly after you work up a sweat."

(Y/n): [Sighs] "Yes, Mom."

Inko: "And what about your phone? You have your phone? Your phone so I can call you?"

(Y/n): "Yes, Mom. I have my phone. I'm gonna be late, alright? Bakugo is going to be here any moment."

Inko: "Oh, you're walking to school with Bakugo? That's so sweet of him."

(Y/n): "Yeah, sweet." [Mutters] "It's not like he's going to be constantly bickering me about girls and stuff while we walk there."

Inko: "What was that, sweety? I didn't quite hear?"

(Y/n): "Nothing, Mom. Nothing..."

Thankfully before any more questions could come my way the sound of the doorbell sounding quickly went off. Immediately alerting myself and Mom.

Inko: "Oh, that must be Bakugo. Here, dear, you keep packing and I'll get it--"

(Y/n): "No! Mom. I'm fine. I'll get it!"

Inko: "Oh, alright, dear..."

I could sense the questioning look on Mom's face as I quickly rose to my feet and raced toward the door. Though there was a particular reason as to why I didn't want Mom to open it, and it was all because of the person on the other side. You see, in recent days, ever since Bakugo got accepted into U.A. he saw the opportunity as a way to...expand his horizons in the lady department.

So much so that in the few days since he found out, he had been outwardly practising his 'Rizz' as he liked to call it. I knew he'd try something like that on Mom. Not to go far, but just for the fun of it. I was confirmed by such when I opened the door to see Bakugo, himself, leaning against the door frame with a rose wedged between his teeth. A cocky smirk running across his lips...

Bakugo: "Well, hello Mrs. Midoriya, how are you doing tod--Ah!"

...A cocky smirk that quickly dropped as soon as he saw my emotionless face. Immediately he spat the rose from his mouth and straightened up. Not to hide what he was doing. But probably more so to do with the fact he knew I'd tease him about this later. Which I definitely would.

Bakugo: "U-Uh. (Y/n)? Um..." [Coughs] "What, uh...What's up, my guy?"

(Y/n): "Dude...What are you doing?"

Bakugo: "Me?" [Chuckles nervously] "I'm d-doing nothing. Just waiting for your slow ass to get moving!" [Looks passed you] "What's up, Mrs. Midoriya?"

Of course, Mom was quick to smile and offer a wave-like any Mom would in a moment like this.

Inko: "Oh, hello, Bakugo. How are you today?"Bakugo: "Oh, I'm fine..."

I could tell there was a 'but' coming along.

Bakugo: "...But, Mrs. Midoriya, may I just say...You look really nice today."

Whether or not it was the grin on his face. The confidence he gave off. Or the words he spoke. It didn't come as much of a surprise when I turned around to see that Mom was clearly set back by the sudden words from Bakugo. More so when he approached her, bent down, and offered the previously discarded rose to Mom.

Bakugo: "So much so that I offer you this Rose that I snatched from your neighbour's little garden she had outside."

Inko: "Oh...How nice of you, Bakugo. Though, um, I'm not so sure my neighbour would be so happy about that."

Bakugo: "Oh, yeah, you're right. She, like, was screaming the whole time while I was walking up here." [Turns to you] "That reminds me, (Y/n), I told her you'd plant her a fresh batch of roses next week."

(Y/n): "What the hell, dude?!"

Bakugo: "Hey, don't be angry with me. You know I gotta practice my 'Rizz' for when we get to school."

(Y/n): "But not with my Mom, dude!"

Bakugo: "Oh, come on. I'm only playin'!"

Inko: "(Y/n), what is this Rizz you boys are talking about? Oh! Is it a fun game?"

(Y/n): [Sighs] "It's nothing you need to worry about, Mom. Anyway, we're going now. Bye!"

So before Bakugo could practice his 'Rizz' anymore, or having Mom embarrass me. I quickly picked up my bag off the ground and dragged Bakugo out the front door. Not letting him go until the door slammed behind us both.

Inko: [Chuckles] "Boys and their games. Oh, to be young again."

Thankfully, I had managed to save myself from explaining everything that just went down to Mom. Though that did not mean I didn't have to deal with another form of suffering, which, of course, was Bakugo explaining the necessities a guy must have when going to a school like U.A. All while we walked through the front gates of the school, a time normally used to prepare one's self for the day. But the only thing I was preparing for right now, was the mental capacity to hold myself back from punching Bakugo to shut up.

Bakugo: "Look, Dude, I understand you're more of the 'loner'; 'sit back and watch' type of dude. But seriously, bro, we're at U.A. now. There are things you're gonna need to know to survive this place."

(Y/n): "Oh, yeah? And how would you know this stuff exactly?"

Bakugo: "Because, unlike you, I studied for this very day."

(Y/n): "Pfft. Yeah, right. You, studied? What? Movies?"

Bakugo: "Exactly!"

(Y/n): "Wait! I wasn't actually being--"

But, of course, once Bakugo started speaking, it was almost impossible to stop him.

Bakugo: "For the past month I have watched countless movies that revolve around the high school social life. And not just Japanese ones either! Long story short, I've noticed three things one must have to make their school life the best."

(Y/n): "Dude, I really don't think that it's that complicate--"

Bakugo: "Thing number 1! You must have a total bro by your side at all times. Lucky for you, you have me! You're welcome, by the way~"

(Y/n): "Yeah, sure..."

Bakugo: "Thing number 2! To have a fun school life, you need to show that you're more than some random background character. Thankfully for you, you totally showcased some serious badassery in the Urban Exam."

(Y/n): "It wasn't anything that cool."

Though Bakugo seemed to disagree as he immediately grabbed me by the shoulders and brought us to a stop. His eyes looking directly into my own as other students walked on by.

Bakugo: "Dude, you punched a literal giant robot in the face. If you don't think that is cool, then, I'm sorry. But I think thatgetting a girlfriend is the least of your problems."

(Y/n): "But, see, that's the thing. I don't want a girlfriend. You want me to--"

Bakugo: "Thing number 3! You must get a girlfriend within the first 6 monthsotherwise shit will go sideways veryquickly. Again, thankfully for you, you're already one step closer to that."

(Y/n): "How so?"

Bakugo: [Smirks] "Because~ From what I heard, you didn't only punch a giant robot in the face... But you also saved a girl~ Ha! Ha! My man! I knew you wanted a girl!"

(Y/n): "Just because I saved her, doesn't mean I want a girlfriend!"

Bakugo: "Yeah, it does. Like, why else would you save her?"

(Y/n): "Uh...To be a hero? Like we came here to be?!"

Bakugo: [Narrows gaze] "Hmm...I sense hesitation. I don't believe you. Oh, well! Whether you want one or not. Dude, youtotally have a shot with her now!"

(Y/n): "Why? Because I saved her?"

Bakugo: "Exactly! Chicks love a hero!Especially one that saves them!"

(Y/n): "I-I don't know..."

Bakugo: "Well, look. Even if you don't like this girl, and she, for some weird reason, doesn't fall head over heels for you. There's always plan B."

Now there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to find out from 'Plan B' was. Though, it was weird that I didn't find out until we finally reached the front door of our homeroom, Class 1-A. All it took for this other plan to be revealed was the slamming open of the classroom door. One that instantly caught the attention of everyone inside, and showcased that Plan B was actually just the fact that there were about four or so girls that'd be in the same homeroom as us. I could only offer a tired gaze in the direction of the scruffy blonde I call a friend.

(Y/n): "Dude...You can't be serious..."

Bakugo: "And thus, I present you... With Plan B~"

(Y/n): "You're an idiot, you know that, right?"

Bakugo: "Ah! But a sophisticated one at that!" [Moves closer] "Besides, check it out, dude, this room totally has some hotties~"

All I did was offer my 'best friend' a wayward glance before sighing and taking my first steps into the room. Honestly, I just wanted to find an empty desk, sit down, and hope for this day to just go by quickly. However, by no surprise, things did not get off to a perfect start. For if Bakugo's helpful nature wasn't one thing, there were certainly others. One of those things was when my eyes casually, by chance, just so happened to take a glance at the room around me.

It wasn't much. Just like most classrooms, I had been in before, though this one was perhaps a little more high-tech. But other than that, it was normal. And as my gaze continued to pass by each row of desks, it seemed just like that. Until my eyes landed on the last row. Because at the end of the classroom, in the very corner, was Kaito. It appeared he was trying to flirt with some girl with black hair.

Though, by the look of things, either Kaito's flirting was really bad, or this girl was just being polite as one look was all it took to see she wasn't even payingattention to what the guy was saying. A mere nod and mumbled reply here and there was all that came from her. Though, things started to spark when my childhood bully noticed my arrival. I don't know whether it was out of anger, or some way to show me up, but as soon as he saw me he decided to pick up on his flirting game by going to reach for this girl's hand.

Kaito: "Anyway, why don't you come down to the pier with me sometime, and we can take my Father's yacht for a ride~"

Though, before his hand could touch the girls, Kaito's action, and the attention of everyone in the room, was instantly sparked my way when out of nowhere Bakugo hooked an arm around my shoulder and started cackling at Kaito. Of course, in the most Bakugo way possible.

Bakugo: "Hey, Kaito! You're in this class too, huh?! Hey, quick question, are you infertile yet after my boy (Y/n)'s showed you up twice now or what?!"

(Y/n): "Dude?!"

Bakugo: "What? I totally heard that can happen?"

(Y/n): "That's not the point!"

Bakugo didn't respond this time, instead, he just stared at me confused. Though my gaze was soon injected elsewhere when a growl of sorts came from the back end of the room. By no surprise, Kaito was soon revealed to be the source as he dragged his hand away from the girls and returned to his seat. Though, not once, did his glare waver from me. I mean, why would it?

So in hopes of just moving this day along faster, I returned to keeping my head low and just made my way to one of the desks in the second row. Tossing my bag to the ground and sitting down, I quickly assumed the position of resting my head atop my arms. Any attempt at hoping this would make time go quicker was soon cut short as a sudden wave of loud voices flooded the air.

"Don't put your feet on the desk!"

"Huh? What desk?"

"The one your feet are currently on!"

(Y/n): "What the he--"

I wasn't able to finish my sentence before my eyes landed on the cause of all the sudden noise. A noise which was stopping me from sleeping. Because there, exactly one chair over, Bakugo could be seen carrying his usual grin as the familiar-looking boy with glasses repeatedly expressed his distaste. Distaste in what exactly?

"Don't you think that's rude to the U.A. upperclassmen and the people who builtthis desk?"

Bakugo: "Nope! What junior high did you go to, you side character?"

"If you must know, and as it is a fact I am most definitely proud of, I will tell you. I attended Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida."

Bakugo: "Somei? Oooh...You're one of these elites, huh? Haha!" [Turns to you] "Hey, (Y/n), check glasses nerd out! He's an elite! Haha!!!"

(Y/n): "Come on, dude, be nice."

I really only said that because I know if Bakugo makes a bad first impression, it'd come back to me as well. Though, of course, I probably just have just said nothing. Because within a few seconds of my voice being introduced into the conversation this 'Iida' guy was quick to turn his attention to me. So much for sleeping in class.

Iida: "Excuse me, but would you--"

But then he stopped. For a few seconds, silence just filled the room as Iida just stared at me, seemingly in shock. But for me, I was just starting to get creeped out a little. That was until I found out why he was staring.

Iida: "You're... You're the person who saved that girl in the exam, aren't you?"

(Y/n): "Um...What?"

Iida: "You are! You're him! Uh...(Y/n) Midoriya, right?"

(Y/n): "Uh, come on, dude, I--"

Bakugo: "That's him, alright! And I'm his best bud! So, if ya got a problem with me. Well, you've got a problem with (Y/n) too!"

Just like always Bakugo was quick to enter the conversation. Just like with Kaito, he was quick to toss an arm around my shoulder and pull me close. His snarkyattitude was quick to turn back to Iida who just looked down at him.

Iida: "What you do, is simply on you." [Turns to you] "Now, Midoriya, you--"

(Y/n): "(Y/n)."

Iida: "I-I'm sorry?"

Bakugo: "He likes being called by his first name! Or what? Didn't hear that because of all the big words going through your head, Private School guy?"

Iida: "My name is Tenya Iida, and I think you know that!"

Bakugo: [Grins] "Know what?"

It appeared Iida was seconds away from snapping as Bakugo's trolling nature. Though both my friend, and Iida, were abruptly cut off when they both turned to their right to see a noticeable absence. Me! Really, I'm only at U.A. to become a Pro Hero. I don't need to be in every class, at least one that draws too much attention tome. So I decided to get up from my seat and for a walk, something, anything to get away from all this action.

Though, just as I was about to leave I was brought to a sudden stop when from out the corner of the door someone walked in. Immediately we both came to a stop before we collided. After a few seconds of processing the situation my eyes slowly opened to see the person standing before me was that girl I had saved from the giant Faux Villain. By no surprise, when she saw me, it was clear to say that instead of getting away from the action, I simply walked straight into it.

Uraraka: [Gasp] "It's you!"

(Y/n): [Mumbles] "Oh, boy. Here we go again..."

The only thing that separated my sentence and the next one to come from this girl was a simple sigh. Once that was through, nothing else could stop her from going crazy with the excitement as she spoke her words. Honestly, it was like she was saving them up all this time. Then again, I kinda did just dip after helping her.

Uraraka: "You passed! Then again, I'm not surprised! You were awesome! Like, super awesome! Your punch was amazing! Itwent like this! Break! Break! Break! Break! Bre--" [Gasp] "I totally forgot to thank you for helping me, didn't I?!"

The shocked expression just remained on her face as time continued to tick by around her. As for me, I was struggling to keep my cool. You see, as much as I hate general life itself. I was still raised by my mother to treat people the way you'd want them to treat you. And I know Izuku would want me to follow that. So, whereas I could simply be rude and shove this girl out of my way, I didn't.

Because if treating others badly is the way you want to go, well, there's no point in you becoming a hero. However, in saying that, it was no easy task. Ever since I lost my brother, I hadn't been quite the same as I once was. Making friends became a whole lot harder, basically because I didn't think I deserved friends. I only hadBakugo because he himself went out of his way to defend me when I was getting teased at school.

And as much as his antics can be annoying from times, I was glad to have him by my side. But other times like now, all I wanted was to be left alone. Because these tiny voices I'm plagued with in my life only remind me of something I can never have. Even so, I didn't yell at this girl. I didn't treat her wrong. I just stood there and listened to her go on. Thankfully for me, it seemed the universe was cutting me a break...for once.

Uraraka: "I wonder if today is just the entrance ceremony and orientation? I wonder what our teacher is like? Oh, aren't you just nervous?"

(Y/n): [Thoughts] "She's just likeIzuku...But a girl..."

"Go somewhere else if you want to play at being friends."

(Y/n)/Uraraka: "Huh?"

All it took was a simple turn of our heads for not only me and this girl, but for everyone near the front of the class to immediately have their eyes widen in complete shock as some guy embraced bya yellow sleeping bag lay on the floor just outside the classroom. A loose wave of black hair the only thing besides hissleepless face that could be seen as he released a tired sigh.

"This is the hero course."

The sudden arrival of this person was all it took for complete silence to cover the entirety of the classroom. In this time, this stranger slowly got to his feet and hopped out of his sleeping bag.

"Alright, it took eight seconds before you were quiet. Time is limited. You, kids, are not rational enough. I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. It's nice to meet you all. I know it's sudden, but go into the changing rooms downstairs. There you'll find your physical education uniforms. Put them on and meet me out on the field."

Great...So much for getting out of class.

[3rd Person POV]

"A Quirk Assessment Test?!"

The voice of Uraraka echoed above the others as the shocked young girl, along with her classmates, stand out in the middle of U.A.'s open field. A place used for coordinated attacks, strength training, and pretty much an open space to blow shit up. Though this was one of the places that Uraraka didn't expect to find herself today.

Uraraka: "What about the entranceceremony? The orientation?"

Her cries were put out toward Aizawa. The Teacher of the class currently having hisback turned to the students as they questioned what exactly was going on. Though, something (Y/n) noticed, his voice was just as bored as it was in the classroom.

Aizawa: "If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events. U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are."[Turns head] "That's also how the teachersrun their classes."

A gentle breeze blew through thegroup of teenagers, all of which carried their own emotions to the news of a rather unexpected first day. Some, like Uraraka, were surprised. Others were accepting. And then there were some, like (Y/n) and Bakugo, who didn't necessarily care what they were doing. But as Aizawa continued to go on about physical fitness tests and what exactly the class would be doing today, (Y/n) found his gaze pulled toward the small brown-haired girl who hadsomehow moulded into his life.

Now, itwasn't by much. But after everything that happened to (Y/n) as a kid, it wasn't often someone even made such a mark on him that he'd spare them a second glance. But now, as his teacher's voice faded into the background, (Y/n) found himself doing exactly that. Noticing the gentle shakes her body gave as she dishearteningly walked to the back of the group after receiving her answer. Was she really worried about doing a physical fitness test on the first day? It seemed a bit surprised if she did. After all, almost every school these days did at least one.

But there seemed to be something else in the wayward eyes of this young girl that struck (Y/n). The question remaining was... Why? He had made it a priority in his life that he shouldn't mess himself into other people's business. The only thing that mattered was keeping his promise to his brother. But then it hit him. Was the only reason he felt this way right now was from the earlier resemblance he had seen of Izuku in this girl? Was that one confirmation enough to snap something inside? (Y/n) wasn't sure exactly.

But the more he watched this girl disappear into the crowd, the more (Y/n) remembered himself doing the same thing the day his family held the funeral for his brother. Now, (Y/n) didn't really remember much of that day. He purposely blocked it out of his mind. But he remembered knowing that he couldn't be there for long. Soon finding himself pushing through the crowd as tears fell from his eyes. The gazes of unknown faces that watched him do so felt like they were a thousand miles away. (Y/n) always hated that memory.

Of these people, he didn't know just look down at him as he mourned for his brother, and cried over his failure. (Y/n) often wondered whether this was a sign from God that he deserved to be looked down upon now after he failed to do something little Izuku didn't hesitate to do. He never did get an answer. But he knew he hated the feeling, and the emotions that brought upon having them. It was as his thoughts became one, the world suddenly kicked into gear by the voice of Bakugo whose narrowed gaze focused on Jiro in the distance.

Bakugo: "...I will find out if you're a girl or not, and nothing will stop me..." [Turns to you and smiles] "Ain't that right, (Y/n)? (Y/n)...?"

When no response came the second time around Bakugo was quick to flick a glance to his side, a sport where (Y/n) had previously been standing next to him. However, Bakugo found a noticeable (Y/n) size hole missing from beside him. The scruffy blonde was about to call out for his best bud only for his eyes to widen and a grin to spread across his lips. Not far away, (Y/n) could be seen approaching Uraraka, who now stood at the end of the groupwith her back turned to the others.

Bakugo: [Smirks] "I knew it... My boy's got that dawg in him!"

A proud chuckle later and Bakugo just continued to watch the scene from a distance. As for (Y/n), he now found himself standing directly behind Uraraka, who had yet to notice his presence. For a brief second (Y/n) questioned whether or not he should just turn back around and walk away. Besides, he didn't exactly know what brought him to walk over to this girlin the first place. Just as he was in the process of turning around, however, he was abruptly stopped.

Uraraka: "(Y/n)?"

(Y/n): "Uh..."

As soon as he heard his name, (Y/n)'s body was quick to turn back around. Hishesitant gaze eventually reachingUraraka's own as she looked at himconfused. Now he realized, there was no escape.

(Y/n): "Uh, yeah...Hi? I, um... I-I just came over to see if you were...Alright?"[Thoughts] "Man, it's been a long time since I've talked to a girl."

Uraraka: "Oh? Um...Y-Yeah, I'm alright."

(Y/n): [Sighs] "Sweet. Now, with that out of the way, I can just turn around and go back to my spot and wait for this class to be over with." [Out Loud] "Alright then. In that case, I'll leave you be. Sorry for interrupt--"

Though, of course, leaving was not as easy as (Y/n) may have first liked. Because, just as before, he could only twist his body the slightly when suddenly he was brought to a stop by Uraraka's sudden voice.

Uraraka: "I think I'm just a little nervous is all."

(Y/n): "Oh..." [Turns back around] "Is that so?"

Now, a thing one needed to know about (Y/n). He didn't exactly like...talking to people. At least, not those he didn't know. Sure, there were some differences like Bakugo and his Mom. But Bakugo was the one to do most of the talking, and his Mom, well, was his Mom. But now he was talking to someone who was neither one of those people. And by the look on her face, she seemed to be one of those people who just let her mouth run wild when she had someone to listen to her. Andunfortunately for (Y/n), now he couldn't just walk away.

Uraraka: "I totally wasn't expecting to be doing this today. I mean, it's not a problem. But I was thinking we'd have at least a day or two before we got into it all, you know?"

(Y/n): "Uh...Huh."Uraraka: [Chuckles nervously] "A-And after the complete disaster that was my Urban Exam, I'm starting to wonder if I should even be here now..."

(Y/n): "Oh? Um, how come?"

Uraraka: "Well, just look at it. What good are points if you're about to get punched by a giant robot? Hehe... I'm starting to even wonder if I should be here. Maybe I should just go home and forget about all this--"

(Y/n): "No."

The sudden cut from her sentence was quick to capture Uraraka's attention as her gaze sparked back to life to look at the boy in front of her. But there was a reason why (Y/n)'s response came out before he even knew it. It was like an automatic reply that came from his mouth as Uraraka continued to speak. But it wasn't without meaning. In fact, all it had was meaning.

Just hearing her question maybe she should go home instantly brought into (Y/n)'s mind an image of his brother. Someone without a quirk. Someone who seemed to have no shot ofjoining U.A.. Yet, he still didn't let that stop him from believing he could do it. Because he knew that getting into this school would prove he could become a hero.

He went through so much, even for the few short years of life he had, in order to reach this dream. Yet, here was this person, who had managed to not only get accepted into the Urban Exam but pass and join U.A., only to now question throwing that all away. It made (Y/n) angry, yet he tried to hold it back the best he can as he continued.

(Y/n): [Sighs] "...Look. I don't know you. But what I do know is, just like everyone else here, you went through that exam, and now you're here. You didn't get here because you got points. You got here because these Pro Heroes clearly sawsomething in you. Something some other people didn't seem to have. Do you realize how special that makes you?"

Uraraka: [Blushes Slightly] "I...I'm special?"

(Y/n): "To some? Yeah! Because I know a few people who would dream to be in your position right now. So... All I wanna say is enjoy this moment, alright? Because there are others who never will."

As his words came to a soft end, (Y/n) allowed a few seconds of silence toseparate things apart before he went toturn around and leave. As for Uraraka, she didn't last for long. As Uraraka lifted her body back up she couldn't help but smile herself as she noticed (Y/n) offering her one. It was something she was surprisingly happy to see, especially after his sudden exit in the Urban Exam after saving her. Yet, sometimes good things must come to an end.

Uraraka: "Oh! Uh, another thing I forget to say. Um...I'm Uraraka Ochaco, by the way?"

(Y/n): [Grins slightly] "I'm (Y/n) Midoriya. But, uh, you can call me, (Y/n). I prefer it that way."

Uraraka: "Well, in that case, thank you again, (Y/n), for saving me." [Rubs back of head and chuckles] "I guess you're kinda like my hero, huh?"

And just like that, the smile dropped from (Y/n)'s face. The mere mention of the word 'Hero' caused countless flashes of that night to appear before (Y/n)'s eyes, and with them, the guilt he felt that day came crashing back down to Earth. It didn't take Uraraka long to notice such a change.

Uraraka: "(Y/n)? Is everything alr--"

(Y/n): "I'm not a hero."

Uraraka: "Ex-Excuse me?" [Chucklessoftly] "I think I misheard yo--"

(Y/n): "I'm not a hero, alright."

Uraraka: "Oh? Um...Alright. Uh, I-I'm sorry if I offended you. I-I didn't mean to..."

(Y/n): [Sighs] "...It's fine. Just...Just be more careful, okay? I'll, uh...I'll see you around."

And so with that (Y/n) left without speaking another word. Leaving the world silent and Uraraka struggling to understand why calling (Y/n) a hero brought out such a sudden change in the boy. It was fair to say that she was left with that thought for the rest of the morning. As for (Y/n), he quickly made his way back to where he originally started, a playful grin from Bakugo the first thing to greet him.

Bakugo: "So, dude? What was all that about?"

(Y/n): "Nothing."

Bakugo: "Pfft! Nothing my ass!" [Pulls you into a headlock] "Dude! You dawg! You totally want a girlfriend!"

Bakugo's laughter just continued to echo as (Y/n) sighed and relented into the headlock. His bored gaze just left there to hover over the world as Aizawa finally reached the conclusion to his speech.

Aizawa: "Alright. Who wants first crack?"

(Y/n): "I do."

Before anyone could even register whose voice that was (Y/n) had already gotten out of Bakugo's hold and was approaching the pitch in front of him. There, a baseball rested on the ground. A cool and determined look found (Y/n)'s face as he walked by the rest of the group. Some marvelled in his presence. Some waited to see what this guy had. Then there was Kaito, who stood at the edge of the group, with a grin spread across his lips.

Kaito: "Oh, here we go. Deku's gonna show us what he's got, everyone. Go, Deku, try your best!"

Just like in Junior High, Kaito seemed to aim for that charming personality that he wanted people to see him as. It was the thing that made him popular, and able to torture (Y/n) whilst capturing the love and affection of all people around him. However, unlike in Junior High, (Y/n) didn't care about his childhood bully anymore.

(Y/n): "Don't talk shit, Kaito. Your ass will get jealous."

A noticeable cackle that most definitely came from Bakugo echoed in the background as a shocked look crossed Kaito's face.

Kaito: "W-Wha?" [Turns to Aizawa] "Sir? I believe such language is not necessary, is it not?"

Aizawa: [Sighs and blinks] "Mr. Midoriya. Please hold back from the language."

(Y/n) didn't respond. He decided to let his next actions respond for him. So, with waited breath, the crowd of students, and teacher, all watched as (Y/n) reached the pitch and picked up the baseball. A few seconds passed as he eyed the ball. There was a time when (Y/n) processed joining the baseball team, but eventually, he decided against it. After all, it would have been unfair... For them. The reason for such was soon revealed as (Y/n) failed to wait for Aizawa to finish speaking before he gave it his all.

Aizawa: "Alright, Mr. Midoriya, I want youto--"

(Y/n): "AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!"

His vicious roar came from the bottom of his lungs as (Y/n) pulled his arm back before launching the ball into the air. With the discharge came a wave of black and green chaotic energy as the ball came free from the young boy's fingertips and tore through the blue sky. Tearing apart countless clouds and creating multiple sonic booms until the very ball that was once in front of the now shocked crowd completely disappeared from view. How far exactly? That seemed to be a question everyone wanted as their gaze quickly shifted to the tracking device in Aizawa's hand.

'1'073 Meters'

As soon as everyone saw that number, a wave of unexpected emotions quickly spawned in the scene. Dropped jaws and looks of complete shock ran through the crowd. The only one who wasn't shocked seemed to be Bakugo, who only released his crossed-armed stance when (Y/n) made his way back over to the group. A Hi- Five immediately on offer from his bestbud. As for (Y/n), he just continued to breathe heavily after exerting so much energy.

He didn't intend to throw the ball that far. But the anger and rage that flooded his system after Uraraka called him a hero seemed to set something off inside of him. So from that point on everyone knew that (Y/n) had some serious power behind him. Something that seemed to carry over as the class moved to multiple other fitness tests. Whether it be the 100-meter dash, compressed strength showcasing, or the countless others they went through.

Eventually, after about an hour of different tests, all the scores were added up together. Apparently, during (Y/n)'sconversation with Uraraka, Aizawa had brought up something about the person with the lowest score would be kicked out. In the end, that didn't matter for (Y/n). For now, as the scoreboard for every student's points was showcased. The young boy had nothing to fear in the end, as by the time all came to a close, he was sitting comfortably on the top.

[Total Points Gathered]

19.) Kyoka Jiro - 1'859 Points!

20.) Toru Kagakure - 1'765 Points!

21.) Minoru Mineta - 1'003 Points!

As soon as the points were brought up, everyone eagerly began searching for their names. Though, mostly in hopes that it wouldn't be at the bottom. Thankfully for most, they were above that dreaded goal. But for one, they were forced to face such a hard reality. That person being Minoru Mineta, a very short boy who seemed to now carry a face with the fear of God with him as he noticed his position.

Mineta: "W-What? T-There's no way...I-I can't be at the bottom. T-There's no way Ican--"

Aizawa: "By the way, I was lying about the expulsion."

Mineta: "WHAT?!"

That was the final word to enter the air before the sound of a bell going off in the distance echoed. It was one thing to say people were happy to be at U.A., but no such happiness came close to when the sound of lunch being served entered the air.

Kaminari: [Sighs] "Finally, lunchtime!"

Mineta: "The lord knows I need it after those points."

Kagakure: "Oh! I hope the food they have here is yummy!"

One by one everyone headed off for lunch, no surprise that (Y/n) and Bakugo were side by side each other as they did the same. Though the pair were suddenly shoved out of the way when Kaito came rushing passed. His focus, however, wasnot on the boys, but the person in front of them, Momo Yaoyorozu.

Kaito: "Hey, Yaoyorozu? Wanna grab lunch together?"

There didn't seem to be a response from the girl other than a mere glance toward Kaito. Not that the guy would notice as his gaze currently lined up perfectly with (Y/n)'s own. A cocky grin ran across his lips, eyeing the boy as he walked off with Yaoyorozu. As for (Y/n), he and Bakugo just tilted their heads at the strange sight.

Bakugo: "Look at that jackass go. I hope Yaoyorozu gives him a kick in the nards!" [Cackles] "Huh? Right, (Y/n)?"

(Y/n): "Eh. I feel more sorry for her, actually. I mean, it's one thing to have a puppy following you around. But when it's as disfigured and unloved as Kaito." [Turns to Bakugo] "It's more torture for her."

Bakugo: "Ha! Ha! Ha! Yes! Oh, well, let's forget shitlicker, we know everyone else does! Anyway, I'm starving dude. Let's get something to eat. Who knew exercise could work up such an appetite?"

And so with that, the two boys were set to go off to get some food, and food they did get. Looks of shock and bewilderment covered the faces of (Y/n) and Bakugo as they eyed the delicious food on display. All crafted at the hands of Cook Hero, Food Rush! So it was as other students lined up in order to collect their food, that (Y/n) and Bakugo just found themselves staring into the bright mirrored surface of glass that separated them, from the food displayed on the other side.

(Y/n): "It all looks...So good..."

Bakugo: "Finally...Some food I can actually eat... Now I don't have to be stuck eatingthe cardboard my Mom makes for us."

(Y/n): "I thought you liked your Mom's food?"

Bakugo: "Yeah, to her face. But compared to this! Oh, I-I don't know what to order."

(Y/n): [Grins] "I do~"

All Bakugo could do was offer his friend a raised eyebrow in confusion. But that confusion did not remain for much longer as within a few short minutes, (Y/n) and Bakugo could be seen making their way back to their table, in their hands placed a tray each. On them, delicious foods of all types could be seen. Whether that be bowls of rice, Teriyaki Chicken, or Udon noodles. Those were just to name a few. It was known that Bakugo and (Y/n) weren't like most people in their class, but if there was one thing that was the same in all people.

It was the love of food. And such love was put on display. Across from the boy's table, Kaito could be seen trying his best to flirt with Yaoyoruzu, of course, to no avail. But he didn't grow angry at the lack of response from the girl. But the fact (Y/n) was outright ignoring him doing so. It left Kaito even more enraged. But he was not the only one watching the table (Y/n) currently sat at, eating his food.

Just to the side of the childhood bullies' table, Uraraka could be seen eating with Iida, and a few other members of their class. Though whereas they seemed stretched out in multiple conversations, Uraraka seemed to be focused on the boy sitting at the table opposite their own. Yet, just like Bakugo before, Uraraka could only watch on in confusion as she witnessed (Y/n) joke around with his friend as they stuffed their mouths with good food. It wasn't long until Iida noticed the wayward gaze of the girl sitting next to him.

Iida: "Uraraka, is everything alright?"

Uraraka: "Hmm? Oh, yeah! I'm fine..."

Though, despite saying that, Uraraka's line of sight did not leave (Y/n) direction. Soon enough, Iida noticed exactly that.

Iida: "How come you are staring at (Y/n)?"

Uraraka: [Turns to Iida] "W-What? I'mnot staring! I-I-I'm just looking in his direction is all!"

Iida: "...Yes, that was what I was referring to."

Uraraka: "Oh..." [Blushes] "I see..."

Iida: "Is there any reason why you are staring at him?"

For a brief second Uraraka questioned what she should do. Should she tell Iida? Was this something she really needed to talk about? Or was she just overthinking things like she did sometimes? Then she offered another glance to (Y/n), and was reminded of the nice words he had said to her, and how happy that made her when she heard them. It was at that momentthat she turned to Iida and spilled her worries.

Uraraka: "Have you noticed how fun (Y/n) seems to act around Bakugo? But with everyone else he seems to be really quiet?"

Iida: "Hmm. That is true. I have noticed that."

Uraraka: "Like, earlier, after Mr. Aizawa told us what we were doing today, I got all worried about it. Yet (Y/n) came over to helped me not be so worried about it. Everything seemed great and I thought I had made a friend. But then I called him a hero and he got all quiet again." [Turns to Iida] "You don't think I hurt his feelings, do you?"

Iida: "It is hard to say. After all, no one here really knows each other yet. It is possible that mentioning that brings something out in (Y/n). But why, is another question. Besides, the only reason someone would come to U.A. is to become a Pro Hero. So it is tricky to find a conclusion to such a matter as of now."

Hearing that did not help Uraraka with her inner troubles. Soon, the worst of these thoughts came about in her mind.

Uraraka: "You...You don't think (Y/n) just doesn't like me, do you?"

Iida: "Again. It is hard to say. But (Y/n), as do the rest of us, have little reason to dislike anyone as of now. At least, with justifiable means behind them. I say just give him some time to get to know you. After all, he has seemed to know Bakugo for quite some time. Perhaps all you need is that before you two can become friends. I wouldn't worry about it too much. As there are much more serious things to focus on at the moment."

Uraraka: "...More serious things to focus on at the moment?"

Those words echoed through Uraraka's mind as she continued to think over all that was going on. Eventually, she seemed to find an answer to all these worries if the sudden determined look on her face was anything to go by. But whatever this solution was, it didn't seem to be just giving it time to become (Y/n)'s friend. Such seemed to be clear as with her determined gaze still firm on her face she returned her line of sight to the boy across from her.

But there were other things at the moment that did ask for her attention, and the attention of everyone else. Like, for instance, their next class...The sound of a clock slowly ticking away filled the room of Class 1-A. Bored sighs and tired yawns came here and there as the students of this class awaited for their next teacher to arrive. It was now afternoon, which meant it was time for Hero Basic Training to begin. Or begin late, if the absence of anyone older than seventeen was anything to go by.

Bakugo: [Yawns] "Man, this sucks. (Y/n), wake me up when the teacher gets here. (Y/n)...?"

A tired glance to the desk opposite him was all it took to see that (Y/n) was already asleep. Tired mumbles escaped his mouth as he buried his head into his arms.

(Y/n): [Mumbles]"...Mmm...Can't...Sleeping..." [Yawns] "...Sleep already..."

Unfortunately, neither boy would get much more sleep when a sudden loud voice sounded from just outside the door.

"Get ready, my students! For I..."

 (Y/n: [Lifts head] "Huh?"

All Might: "...Am coming through the door like a normal person!"

The sudden arrival of the Number One Pro Hero was more than enough to spark the attention of every student in the room. Looks of amazement and pure wonder enough to be seen from the front crowd alone as the aforementioned hero leaned into the room in the most All Might way possible. And, of course, his large smile was there to accompany him.

Kaminari: "It's All Might!"

Kirishima: "Wow, he really is a teacher!"

Tsuyu: "That costume is from the silver age, isn't it?"

Ojiro: "Its style is so different. It's giving me goosebumps!"

But whereas everyone seemed to be in complete awe, (Y/n) merely sighed and sat back up in his seat. After all, unbeknownst to the others, seeing All Might was a fairly regular thing. So, as the aforementioned hero marched his way to the centre of the room at the front of the class, capturing the gaze of everyone else in the room. (Y/n) released another tired yawn as he crossed his arms.

All Might: "I teach Hero Basic Training. Can anyone tell me what that is?"

Iida: [Raises hand] "Oh! It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero."

All Might: "Ha! Ha! Yes!" [Thumbs up] "You will take the most units from thissubject! So let's get straight into it! This is what you'll be doing today...COMBATTRAINING!!!"

His scream was accompanied with the hero taking a very heroic pose. One that showed off his muscles and well, all his might.

All Might: "And to go with that are these!"

Twisting his body to the side All Might wasted no time in dramatically pointing toward the wall. As the eyes of all students present turned in that direction, they were greeted by small compartments slowlycoming out of the wall. Each carried a number on them, the ones which were given to each person once they joined the class.

All Might: "Costumes made on your Quirk restrictions and requests you sent in before school started. After you change, gather in the battlegrounds, training will begin then!"

With no more words to give All Might wasted no time in dashing out of the room in the most 'All Might' way possible. But even with their teacher's exit, the students barely noticed as they instead placed all their focus on the small compartments their future heroic suits awaited them. Quickly everyone jumped from their seats and raced over to where their suits were located.

One by one they opened the boxes to lay their eyes on the costumes they could only previously dream about. Amongst the group was (Y/n). Who, in all honesty, was a little hesitant to open his box. His body just froze as he stared down at the shining white surface before him. Though his own reflection was there to greet him, heinstead saw the reflection of his littlebrother in its place. As a memory of the past quickly corrupted his mind.

--Flashback--

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! Come on look what I drew!"

The voice of young Izuku Midoirya sounded joyously as a patch of green hair sprung through the halls of the Midoriya household. In the lounge room, (Y/n), now no older than six, could be seen sitting on the couch playing a game when out of nowhere his view is blocked by a drawingof what appeared to be some kind of rabbitman.

(Y/n): "Oh...What's this?"

Izuku: "It's my super hero suit, (Y/n)! The one I'm going to wear when I become a hero like All Might!"

A smile was quick to find (Y/n)'s lips as he placed down his game and turned to his brother. His smile instantly growing just a little more as he took in the bright sight that was his little brother. It seemed Izuku didn't go one day without a smile, especially if it involved something to do with heroes. Just seeing him so happy was enough to make (Y/n) happy, and their mother too. Who stood in the kitchen cleaning the dishes, a smile crossing her lips as the voice of her little boys entered the air.

(Y/n): "Well, then, if this is going to beyourhero suit. We need to make sure that this is finished off."

Izuku: "Finished off? What do you mean?"

(Y/n): [Chuckles] "Well, you can't justhave a suit with no colour, right? You need to give it some life!"

Izuku: "Oh..." [Laughs] "I guess you're right, (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): "Come on. Let's go see what we can do about adding some colour to this amazing drawing."

Izuku seemed more than happy to do that. His happy laughter once more filling the air as (Y/n) got up from the couch and walked up the stairs with his little brother. It was times like this that really made Inko smile. After all, who didn't love to see their kids get along? Let alone as well as (Y/n) and Izuku did.

She enjoyed the sight so much so that she even prevented finishing the dishes for a moment so that she was able to walk over to the entrance of the kitchen to just poke her head out and watch as (Y/n) and Izuku disappeared around the railing upstairs. It had been a lot on her since her husband had died, and the kids as well. But to see (Y/n) be such a nice big brother to Izuku really made Inko proud to be able to live the life she currently did.

As for (Y/n), he found joy in bringing his brother joy. And Izuku seemed to be full of it as he slammed open the door to their shared room and raced over to his bed as (Y/n) walked over to the desk at the end of the room. In his hand was Izuku's drawing, which heplaced onto the table as he dug through an old pencil case to retrieve the one color he was searching for.

Izuku: "What colour are you going to draw it in (Y/n)? Blue?! Red?! Oh, you could do blue and red, then it'd be just like All Might's?!"

(Y/n): [Chuckles] "Those are some nice choices, Izuku. But I was thinking of something that fits you more. After all, in life, Izuku, you should strive to besomeone else. Just be you!"

Izuku: "Just...Be me?"

(Y/n): "Yep." [Turns around] "I mean, why be someone else when you're alreadyawesome as you are now?"

The happy grin on (Y/n)'s face s he spun around in his chair to offer his brother a charming glance was all it took for Izuku's eyes to be immediately filled with stars. Something that didn't go away as the young boy suddenly pounced off his bed and smashed (Y/n) into a big hug.

Izuku: "I love you, (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): [Chuckles] "I love you too, Izuku."

For a brief moment, the two brothers just looked into each other's eyes and savoured the moment. Having close friends was one thing. But there was just something about the bond, the connection, between two brothers that was truly special. And it was something both (Y/n) and Izuku were more than happy to share. However, there was one other thing (Y/n) wanted to share with his brother.

(Y/n): "Now... Are you ready to see your Hero suit?"

Izuku: "YES!!!"

(Y/n): [Chuckles] "Alright then. Well, here you go... What do you think?"

The answer seemed to be obvious, well, if one were to go off on the increasedsparkles that had appeared in Izuku's eyesfrom seeing the finished drawing by his older brother.

--Flashback Over--

As the memories came to an end (Y/n) couldn't help but find a small smile of his own as he patted the white box before him. That was until the voice of Bakugo caught his attention.

Bakugo: "Hey, (Y/n), you alright, dude?"

(Y/n): "Huh? Oh, uh, yeah. I'm fine."

Bakugo: [Chuckles] "So, what did you decide to go for your costume? Me? I went full on with the grenade theme."

(Y/n): "Why? Because of your explosive tendency to ruin a quiet day?"

Bakugo: "Wha--Hey! I'll have you know I'm the life of the party, and you're lucky to have me."

(Y/n) didn't respond this time around, but the chuckle he gave as he looked at hisfriend was enough for Bakugo to receive all the response needed. So, after everyone had gathered their things, they took off for the battlegrounds where All Might now stood waiting for his class. That same large smile was ever present as he faced the dark tunnel before him. Eagerness filled his system as he awaited to see what each of his students chose for their costumes.

And by the time they started to appear from within the abyss of that darkened tunnel, he was not left disappointed. One by one each of his students appeared. First Bakugo. Then Yaoyorou. Then Iida. Then Tsuyu. With each passing second a new face appeared, decked in something that would be their first steps to becoming a hero. It wasn't long later before everyone stood before All Might, as eager as ever to get things on a role. Well, almost everyone that is.

All Might: "They say the clothes make the man, young men and ladies. Be fully aware... From now on... You are heroes!"

Various costumes of all different themes and sizes could be seen amongst the crowd. Some were armored, while others were more for style. Some were kept for keeping the wearer safe, then there were others that seemed to reveal more skin. No matter what it was, however, they all seemed awesome to All Might.

All Might: "That's great, everyone. You all look cool! Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?"

Kaminari: "Wait a minute. Where's(Y/n)?"

Uraraka: "Huh?"

Bakugo: "That's weird? He was here just a second ago?"

And just like that everyone's attention had immediately shifted to the only missing face amongst the crowd. But it didn'tremain that way for long as the sound of footsteps echoing from within the dark tunnel was all it took for everyone to turn around instantly. And when they did, they were not left wondering why. At first, it seemed like a normal person was walking from the shadows. However, as the figure approached, there were noticeable features that broke passed the shadows that gave off a completely different vibe.

Long ears prodded from the head. A yellow scattered scarf hung from their neck. And sharp claw-like fingertips prodded at the end of the white gloves this figure wore. But the thing that caught everyone's attention the most was the neon green eyes that broke apart the shadows. It wasn't long before jaws began to drop and complete shock flooded the scene as this person finally stepped out from the shadows. The dark and eerie appearance of (Y/n) was finally revealed to the world. And it definitely came as a surprise.

Silence came from every single person as the bewildering costume chosen by the boy resonated before them. As for (Y/n), he spoke not as he approached the group. His mind reminding him of a similar like picture Izuku drew as a kid. So when the time came for (Y/n) to design his own costume, what better way than to honour his brother in the process?

Though Izuku's drawing was more kid friendly and calming. (Y/n) didn't want that. He wanted whoever he went up against to fear him. To feel the darkness. To be consumed by the nightmares. And this suit would help him deliver that. Itwas due to the dark nature around this suit that obvious questions were brought up from the crowd.

All Might: "Y-Young Man?"

Uraraka: "(Y/n)?"

Shoji: "There's no way that's him, right?"

Iida: [Fixes Glasses] "T-That's a rather... dark look for one pursuing to be a hero, is it not?"

More shocked expressions came from the crowd. Their tiny voices only faded into the background for (Y/n), however. Then there was Kaito. Who merely scoffed at the sight as he crossed his arms.

Kaito: "It's not that cool."

Meanwhile, Bakugo grinned and crossed his arms.

Bakugo: "Why am I not surprised he decided to make a cool entrance? Ha! He totally wants a girlfriend."

Noticeable from the side were characterslike Mina Ashido and Toru Hagakure who repeatedly fanned their faces as they smiled in the direction of the approaching male. As for the rest of the group, they just found themselves unable to say anything as they just looked on in complete awe as (Y/n) finally reached the group. His silent gaze shifted up to All Might, who still seemed stumbled for a moment. Until he was able to gather himself and once more bring about his smile.

All Might: "All right! Now that everyone is here! Let's get right into it!"

And not another word more was spoken as the group followed their teacher. As they did, all began to mentally preparethemselves for the conflict that wascoming their way. But for (Y/n), he was focused on something else. He didn't care what this task was. Or what he had to do to get it done. In the end, he'd do it. Not for himself. Not for his fellow classmates. But for his brother. For his family. Because in the end... That's the only thing that matters.

[And just like that another 10k plus chapter! Now, before we go, I wanna state something...You all seem to be enjoying the book, which is great and awesome! So, first off, thank you! Now, here's the second thing I wanted to bring up. Just like with my Chainsaw Man book, I made a promise that if the chapters did well I would constantly bring out a 10k-plus chapter each and every week. I want to offer the same promise here. If the chapters keep doing well, and interest is obviously there. I will do everything I can to bring you all jam-packed, 10k word and more chapters every week. But just as you guys seem to be enjoying reading this, I'm enjoying writing it! So, yeah, if you wanna keep seeing 10k plus chapters.

Keep hitting that vote button and commenting. Because at the end of the day, I do like to please you all, and seeing the response through those sources are one of the ways I can tell the book is going good. Anyway, in other news, thank you all for reading today's chapter! I had a blast writing it and I hope you enjoyed reading it!I have a lot planned for this story, with things building over time. Things like Harems and that will come, just like with my Chainsaw Man book, just give a little time. I'll always try to bring entertainment in the meantime. But, yeah, that's pretty much it for now. Thank you all once again for reading, I do hope you all enjoyed it, and I hope to see you all next week for another chapter of Anti-Hero! Because in the next chapter... The real action begins!!!]
